Mortal Kombat Kollection

I'm sorry but I might be the only one around not excited about the new Mortal Kombat Kollection. The reason is because I have my cabinet that I've been working on that has MK1-UMK3 with online play and I'd rather hold out for maybe when they release a cabinet that has MK4 and other titles of its era..

But the silver lining for me is they have MK4 in that kollection which to me implies that commercial emulation for that is ready for prime time so they might be able to put that into an XL form factor cabinet and THAT I would be excited for..

I also understand that this kollection is to replace the defunct and abandoned previous gen kollection that was on PS3/Xbox 360 and Steam with GFWL (I bought it) and I don't begrudge anyone that choice.. It's just not for me.. haha

Nintendo fan's main argument against emulation is "you pirate because you're broke. You just want Nintendo to make all their games free."

No, this is not the case. If Nintendo actually sold these games at a fair price, I'd be legally purchasing them. Most of us would. There's a huge backlog of games Nintendo could put on the Eshop, but they just refuse to do that.

Second-hand stores are not always a reliable place to find older games. Most people won't be willing to part with their best games by donating them to a store. Most of the time you're just gonna find shovelware sports games there. You're only gonna find an actually- good retro game shop if you're really lucky.

And sometimes you'll find a mini mall selling you bootlegs of them, like that time I got scammed on that fake copy of Mario Vs Donkey Kong that didn't even have a save battery in it.

If Nintendo just simply brought back the Virtual Console or made some digital game launcher client similar to Steam, nobody would have a REASON to emulate.

Yeah you're gonna find a few brokies emulating newer games, but the majority of the time it's people who are given no other option to play older games that aren't being sold anymore.

I'm considering getting a retro gaming console, mostly because I don't have a working ps2 and I would like to play the games I played on that system.

But in what research I'm doing on those retro gaming emulator consoles I've been seeing adds for, I can't find a way to know what games are preloaded on these systems.

I just want to know if I can play the following before I spend money on something that could be a waste:

>Mana Khemia

>Yugioh the Duelists of the Roses

I have just completed my playthrough on the Wii U Virtual Console port of Rayman Advance!

Here are fifteen episodes on the GBA version of Rayman 1, plus two bonus ones!

While it was an impressive feat to port this game on a handheld system at the time, this version of the first Rayman didn’t age very well. Mostly due to the camera and a variety of issues (like incorrect platform behaviors)...

But it does have its own charm and I still like it, even if I prefer most console/PC versions! :)

Note that I didn’t use the Virtual Console graphic filter to keep an authentic experience, aside from a few moments (like the backtracking parts) just to showcase how it looks. Same goes for the other VC features.

RIP Wii U eshop...

literally my first thought whenever i hear a game i like is getting a remake is ALWAYS "will there be any new story content?". unless it's a game that just like doesn't have a story to begin with or the original had dogshit controls that a remake could fix, that's my first priority and if the answer is no i get sad. i probably wouldn't have bought pokemon mystery dungeon DX if i hadn't fallen in love with the painterly storybook-esque art style and wanted to play the whole game with it. i only bought skyward sword HD because i love the original game so much that i was willing to pay $60 just to finally play it without having dogshit controls. sorry.

Yknow what I flat out don't buy that Konami "lost" key silent hill files and can't port their old games. Wtf is stopping them from just ripping the code and files from the iso like the rest of us. If emulators can remaster silent hill 2, I don't wanna hear any of their little whiney baby excuses. They're flat out just bad at doing business and don't wanna.

I would LOVE to own the chobits official gba. However. Im not spending 400 dollars on a console. Until im rich and famous musician uwu

Instead. Im going to buy an aftermarket reproduction shell and rehouse a different gba, plus i am going to get pink replacement buttons ^^

As much as i would ADORE having an authentic one, i simply do not have that money(i literally needed my moms help to buy my love plus nene 3ds ll and i have to pay her back)
