By Alice Have you ever wanted to talk to fairies? Well, Mr. Fluffernutter and I just found a mysterious note in our backyard—and we think the fairies left it for us! But… we can’t read it! Crossover ship of Mitsuri and Sanji cause why not
Tumblr media
I imagine a modern sort of AU with these two in the spotlights:
Mitsuri traveling away from Kimetsu town after tragically lost her boyfriend of years Obanai due to an incident involving his family (murder mystery maybe). Taking Kaburamaru with her, she stays in the Grand City, working as an art teacher in the New World Academy.
In the midst of her grief, she finds comfort in a cafe where the chef is nice enough to cook her enormous amount of food without any complaints every time she comes over.
Or maybe it's the chef himself.
(Mitsuri and Sanji are going to start off as friends and then close friends and it'd take a very long time for them to be together because one is afraid that she'd forgot her late boyfriend if she moved on, and another doesn't want to take advantage of the poor girl and he's unsure if he's worth enough to be with her)

Consider: character-exclusive trinkets.
#dandy's world#vee#vee version 1#vee dandys world#vee dw#dandys world vee#dw vee#glisten dandys world#glisten dw#dandys world glisten#dw glisten#glisten the mirror#so basically‚‚‚ vee gains the reflection ability but for machines and it works alongside camera hijack#glisten gets mic check but for toons and it works with reflection <3#and if you're curious about lore stuff for the trinkets. related to stuff i'm writing with a very dear friend of mine...#vee made the tracker as a gift for glisten after a. Particular Incident™ occurred#which eventually led to her learning the depths of his insecurities and issues. at least to *some* extent anyway#originally the tracker only tracked vee's location. just. so he could feel more comfortable.#know that he's never alone even if he can't actively sense anyone nearby with his abilities.#and so that if he ever needs vee for *anything* then he'll know exactly where to find her#but! it's got utility for vee in runs too! means she's always got someone to watch her back who can see when she's in danger and help out#but anyway. the fact that glisten could use the tracker to teleport longer distances was actually unexpected for vee!#and once she found that out she upgraded the tracker to show *all* the toons' locations#but only in runs and on the current floor because it relies on the machines to broadcast a signal. whereas vee can be tracked anywhere#the hand mirror was admittedly more of a 'hey it'd be cool to give vee a matching trinket. let my girl teleport to machines' thing gfhdhdf#but. while my friend and i haven't fully confirmed it? i've had thoughts of it being like. a 'thanks for putting up with me' gift#that glisten gave to vee sometime after the aforementioned Incident. because that mirror has Issues#and struggles to fathom that anyone would still want to be around him after learning that he's. broken. imperfect. even his best friend </3#the hand mirror has glisten's sweater skin's colour palette because i wanted to differentiate it from the vanity mirror#but also. it's silver. second place. it's enchanted with glisten's magic but it still doesn't measure up to the real deal (gold) <3

It’s been two months and I’m still so freaking delighted by the fact that every time I open any social media there’s some gelphie edit floating around. Back in my day you had to close your eyes and daydream edits to your favorite song because even the best bootleg footage is still just Glinda and Elphaba standing in a pitch black void of a stage. Now I don’t even have to go into tags, I can just scroll a bit and get my heart ripped out by super colorful close up shots of absolute gay yearning set to every painfully relevant set of lyrics under the sun. I freaking love this revival so much

🚪 Secret Doors and Hidden Worlds: The Math of Mazes and Portals 💻🌟🐰
By Alice Have you ever found a secret door in your house? I just did! And guess what? It was locked with math! It all started when Mr. Fluffernutter’s fluffy ears twitched. “Alice,” he whispered, “I think your room is hiding a secret!” I gasped. “A secret? What kind of secret?” Fluffernutter pointed his paw at the corner of my bookshelf, where a tiny sliver of golden light peeked through. My…

Native Legends and Lore
Here in Special Collections, we have an extensive collection of Native American literature. Because of my Native heritage, I love exploring this collection for interesting material to share, as I learn so much by researching each item I find. This is my latest find!
The Indian Fairy Book: From the Original Legends, edited by Cornelius Mathews (1817-1889), an American writer who reinterpreted the stories. It was reprinted in 1877 under the title The Enchanted Moccasins, as the editor deemed the new title more appropriate. Our edition was published in New York by Leavitt & Allen Bros. in 1868. George Ayres Leavitt (1822-1888), the son of a Massachusetts bookbinder, founded several of New York’s earliest publishing firms. John F. Trow and Son were the printers, with John Fowler Trow (1810-1886) being a printer and publisher in New York City who began his career by printing city directories. His son joined him in the business, becoming John F. Trow & Son.
This collection of tales was compiled and developed in the late 19th century. Inspired by the oral traditions of Native American folklore told around lodge fires and under the trees, the anthology was originally interpreted from the old tales and legends collected by Henry R. Schoolcraft (1793-1864).
Schoolcraft was an American geographer, geologist, and ethnologist recognized for his pioneering research on Native American cultures and for his 1832 expedition to the origin of the Mississippi River. He began his ethnological research in 1822 during his appointment as a U.S. Indian agent in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He was responsible for the tribes in northern Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. He learned the Ojibwe language, culture, and lore from his Ojibwe wife, Jane Johnston (Obabaamwewe-giizhigokwe) (1800-1842), one of the earliest Native American literary writers.
The book was illustrated by John McLenan (1827-1865), an American illustrator and caricaturist known for his work on Charles Dickens' Great Expectations and A Tale of Two Cities for Harper’s Weekly. He is also regarded as a pioneer in comics for his use of the text comic format.
The illustrations were engraved by A.V.S. Anthony (1835-1906), an American wood engraver and one of the founding members of the American Water Color Society. He passed down a famous lineage that includes a Broadway star, a filmmaker, and a musician, as well as actor Anthony Perkins, renowned for portraying Norman Bates in the Psycho movie franchise, who is his great-grandson.
