What’s uhhhh the best way to get into „Die ???“ I’m pretty well acquainted with the world and the characters from when I was younger but I don’t really know where to start to get back in it

Hey!

Okay, first things first: all episodes are on spotify. So basically, you can start wherever, especially if you already know the characters.

Spotify also has a few interesting playlists, in case you're a fan of magic-y cases or spooky cases or puzzles/riddles.

If you remember any specific cases it can be a good start to get back to some of those (that way i learned i still know Rufmord, Perlenvögel and Tanzender Teufel pretty much by heart), or you could go have a look at titles that catch your attention.

Or if you want some newer episodes/specific recs: Hexengarten was a nice spooky episode with an interesting riddle + conclusion (bonus points for Peter "always assumes the worst" Shaw), Grusel auf Campbell Castle feels like a good old episode with low stakes and a riddle-y testament (bonus points for Skinny, because I'm biased), Der finstere Rivale would be a darker case that feels more grown up and deals with more serious crime (also a Skinny ep), Nacht der Tiger is a little less dark and more riddle-y but goes in the same direction (great Cotta episode too), Skateboardfieber is just... insane political intrigue and complete sillyness rolled together and slightly over the top, Flüsternde Puppen is a bit spooky and convoluted to hell and back and i love it, Geheimnis des Bauchredners is a spooky one too and features old aquaintances from the original episodes. And of course, all the anniversary episodes (Toteninsel, Feuermond, Geisterbucht, Schattenwelt & Feuriges Auge) are great and range from actually emotional and touching to completely wacky, but also take up a bit more time than the standard episodes.

Hey can i just go on a short rant abt the newer episodes ? Feel free to delete this i just have wayyy to many thoughts ,,,, , ,, anyway here it comes:

- i hate how the boys keep getting more and more reduced to like. One charakterzug per person like justus knows everything and is right all the time, peter is scared of everything all the time and bob is just there if they need him or to make the on or other sarcastic comment hrrr

- it is funny sometimes ill admit that ('wo hast du das denn gelesen, auf du-glaubst-auch-jeden-scheiss. com?' when i tell u i died......)

-all the episodes past like. 100 have almost the same vibes? Ill admit i havent listened to more than like 20 of those but heyy. And they come up with this super bizarre answer/plotwist for it all and thatn thats whats actually going on? Huh?

-also they removed the girls im mad abt that. Yes they had no consistent (or any) personality but i loved them

- Yes. I’m completely with you. It does depend on the author (Sonnleitner in particular is like... terrible with Peter), and sometimes I think?? The audio plays give certain lines to another character?? I know they changed something around in Feuriges Auge and I think they took the deduction away from Peter and gave it to Bob? Like, don’t do that?

- I admittedly like some of the newer episodes more tho, it just really depends on the author? Some plot twists are entirely nonsensical, sometimes I think they’re actually really clever? Idk which episodes you listened to, but sometimes checking out the authors helps to figure out which episodes you’ll probably like and which you won’t? (Also, ngl I’m a little in awe that they still manage to come up with new cases at all, so some of it is probably just because they’ve done over 200 eps now, and esp the core writers have to produce A Lot of content?)

- I mean, I’m not sad about Liz not being around (because girl had like... even less personality than the others) but I sure would love to hear from Lys again, and I would straight up sell my soul for a coherent characterization of Kelly and an episode that incudes her more? (Like, Späte Rache?? That was so cool??)

SKINNY BWAGAGAGGAAHAGAGA uhm. I just think he's neat. :) I just love characters that are supposed to be horrible but end up having a soft good to them and i just love his interactions with the bois(tm) BUT Clarissa Franklin is a close second. She is just horrible, manipulative and violent and i hate that. ^^

same as above, i love bad eps as well because i love shitting on them while having a good laugh. but if there is something that i cant have fun with, its obvi a boring ep, but i cant think of one rn,skrr

6. Folge, die einem als Kind zu gruselig war:

I may look like a baby but i got into ddf only a year ago or so but i remember watching the movie as a kid and shitting my pants at the scene where the bois are trapped in that egyptian tomb or whatever, gave me anxiety like damn

since i am a b for angst, i've always enjoyed the scene of skinny in der finstere Rivale almost getting his head blown off and that goes for justus in front of him as well. i remember being really suprised at how dark the episode suddenly became and just,!?!!,!! i love it
