Kinning in general is a bewildering experience but no kin has ever made me go ?? ? ?? ? ?? ? quite so much as kinning Five Pebbles

Working in laundry at the hotel I work at usually means a good few hours at the start of the day where you're just... doing nothing, waiting for washers and dryers to finish their loads

During the recent polar vortex, I remember being half awake just sitting and watching out the window, and I noticed these constant, thick white plumes of vapor/steam coming from the building

The washers and dryers had vents that led outside to release hot air, and in the freezing temperatures that air appeared like vapor - sorta like how our breath does when it's cold

And I remember watching this happen in intervals, the steam would come out in these big massive clouds -- then it'd stop for a little while. Then it'd start up again

Being bored and tired and suddenly invested in the dryers releasing hot air, of all things, it was almost like a meditative state And in that state, it was sort of like regular blorbo thoughts but also some sort of almost-kin memory, being able to feel/imagine the building around me being an extension of myself -- having a sudden awareness of all the different systems that keep the building and stuff within it running. I could see another vent across the field at the other end of the building also letting out vapor unrelated to the dryers -- likely a building heater or a boiler

And the dryers and their vents releasing that vapor out into the freezing air outside, it almost seemed and maybe even felt like breathing

I don't know !!!! This all sounds insane actually writing it out, but it's also funny to me. Here I am, mentally ill mcgee kinning a giant supercomputer and thinking that the dryers letting out hot air feels like breathing I am cringe but I am free . Silly times in this silly and peculiar brain of mine
