“It’s Leviosa, Not Levios-A!” a little eremika harry potter au sneak peek!

Mikasa Ackerman stood by the window, trying to appear nonchalant as she scrolled through her parchment—100/100. Her lips quirked into a small, self-satisfied smile as she tucked the exam safely into her bag. She didn’t want to gloat, but she couldn’t help herself. She’d earned that perfect score, fair and square.

Just as she was about to sit down, a voice rang out across the room.

“Hey, Gryffindor!”

It wasn’t the voice of one of her friends. No, it was the all-too-familiar sneer of Eren Jaeger, Slytherin’s golden boy, looking far too smug for her liking.

Mikasa’s eyes shot up to see him standing near her, a crowd of Slytherins boys gathered around him, watching eagerly. The entire room fell silent for a moment, knowing that the rivalry between her and Eren was always a spectacle. 

“Enjoy it while it lasts,” he said, striding toward her with that cocky smirk of his. His green eyes glinted with a mixture of amusement and challenge, a reaction befitting a typical snake. Mikasa rolled her eyes.

“Enjoy what? Your second place?” 

Her words came out so calmly that Mikasa thought they wouldn’t be heard, but of course, the entire room had gone quiet, and a chorus of “Uuuuuh” from the surrounding students made it painfully clear that her retort had landed. She shot a quick glance at the boy, and sure enough, his usual cocky grin was replaced by a deep frown, the muscles in his jaw tightening. It was clear: Slytherins didn’t like it when their own venom was turned back on them.

“What I’m saying is, don’t get too comfortable,” Eren Jaeger warned, his voice low and charged with intent. He took a step closer, very dangerously, as if he were thinking of taking out his wand.  “We both know I’ll be in your spot next time. Don’t get too comfortable.”

She raised an eyebrow, not missing a beat. “You’ve been saying that for weeks, Jaeger,” she replied coolly, folding her arms. “But here I am, still on top, and you’re still behind me.”

Little Mikasa is still dressed in her favorite character pajamas, glared at Eren with her doe-eyes. Her small hand was already reaching for a pillow to hurl at him.

"What are you doing in my room?! You thief!" she snapped, ready to scream.

Eren, still a bit tipsy, raised both hands with an innocent expression. "It's me Eren! Wrong room! I just wanted to see your sister!"

Mikasa squinted at him in disbelief. "Why did you come in through the window?"

Eren chuckled and shrugged. "I like a challenge."

Mikasa was about to yell, but before she could, Eren quickly added, "Hey, if you scream, I'll tell your mom that you're skip your piano lesson yesterday."

Mikasa fell silent, still staring at him. "And in return," Eren continued, "I'll help you sneak out to your favorite boyband's fan sign."

Mikasa's eyes lit up. "Really?!"

Eren nodded casually. "But on one condition—you don't tell anyone that I came in here."

After a moment of thought, Mikasa grinned triumphantly. "Deal." She pointed to the right. "Pieck's room is just over there."

Eren lightly patted Mikasa's head before heading toward the proper window. "You're a good little girl, Miki."

Mikasa pursed her lips. "My name is Mikasa, not Miki."

Eren just chuckled softly before finally leaving. That night, little Mikasa realized one thing: Eren Jaeger might be an idiot, but he is funny.

im just curious about your headcanon for their job (for eremika and jeanpiku if that's alright)

this question has truly thrown me for such a giant loop because im super indecisive! so i thought instead of choosing one option, i could list a few plausible options for the characters! these are just the jobs that came to mind for some reason. im sure i could come up with others but this are the first that i decided on, and i tried to choose jobs that are a little more unorthodox to be unique 🩷

also sorry for how long this has taken ! i know you've been waiting for this for a while 🫶

— Eren Jaeger!

Physical/recreational therapist: I can imagine him wanting to help people but not wanting to be a hospital doctor or anything like that. He seems like he'd be a pretty active guy so I think a job where he gets to help people and also move around and help clients move around and recover from injury would be both fulfilling and fun for him at the same time! Or even recreational therapy, getting to help people through different activities!

Small business owner: I can see him taking the charge and owning his own business, maybe with the help of his parents with a small investment to get it started. Mikasa might also help with this when she has spare time because she wants to support him! I'm thinking something that incorporates his love of cooking, like a bakery or food shop?

Stuntman/stunt coordinator: This one is more for fun but I love picturing him as a stunt man for movies. He would get a kick out of the thrill it gives him if he's actively participating or he'd find it satisfying to coordinate really interesting stunt work. Mikasa would always be fearful that he's gonna injure himself.

Bookstore employee: I don't know why, but I think Mikasa would love working around a quiet environment with books. Getting to provide recommendations and organize the shelves makes her feel accomplished without over-stressing her. She loves reading so the employee discount is definitely a big benefit.

Speech-language pathologist: I'm biased here because this is what I'm studying! But I think Mikasa could thrive in this job! Getting to help people struggling with communication is really fulfilling and she gets to challenge herself to find creative solutions. I think she would love working with children, helping them fix their speech sounds, or even with adults, helping with different disorders.

Daycare owner/lead employee: I think a lot of us agree that even in our modern AUs, Mikasa didn't have the happiest childhood. So, I think she tries to make sure that other children have the best possible childhood around. She would be very attentive to all their needs because she's naturally great with kids. Eren would find this so endearing and it would really give me lots of baby fever when she comes home and talks about the kiddos.

— Jean Kirstein!

Gonna start off by saying that I feel like Jean initially settles for an office job because he feels like he has to be a big breadwinner and have a stable, high-paying job but it ends up making him rather miserable so he quits to pursue other jobs.

Art restoration: I know the idea of Jean being an artist is kinda overplayed since he only draws once but I am so attached to it. But here I'm specifically thinking of him restoring old/damaged paintings for museums or for people's personal collections. He probably finds comfort in seeing the pretty paintings come back to life after being so dull. He takes it super seriously since it's so technical so he's very proud of his work and the results!

Something in the restaurant/food industry: Jean loves cooking so much! He would want to share his cooking with others. He might work at a restaurant making good or maybe even as a cooking instructor? I think that even if his job isn't in the food industry that he still volunteers his time to cook for people in need because it's something he's passionate about.

Art therapist: In a similar vein to art restoration, I am imagining him as an art therapist, trying to help people with their struggles through various forms of art. It's probably therapeutic to him, so sharing that therapy with others is so sweet to me. I think would love to work with children especially, just getting to see them smile after they've gone through some rough things :)

— Pieck Finger!

Something in journalism: Pieck would get a kick out of writing small articles for different papers or magazines, or even in the newspaper (even if it's a dying medium). She gets to show a more creative side while making a living and she also gets to work from home which is great because she's kind of a homebody! She gets to be comfortable while writing her fun articles :)

Accent/dialect coach: This is also kind of a half-serious one like the stunt coordinator one for Eren. I feel like Pieck would be weirdly good at accents, like stupidly good. So she might have fun working with actors either in bigger shows/movies or in local theatre productions to change accents.

Editor: Another job that could be done from home, I think she would like editing people's books or articles or anything to make them better. She finds it fun and satisfying to correct mistakes and make suggestions, and it's so fun because she can work on stuff from her bedroom if she so desired. Maybe she both writes and edits and just switches off depending on the day/helping out her writer friends by editing their work for them.

For Lawlight, I’d say both of their strengths would be their intelligence. I’d also say a weakness for both is that they are in many ways cut off from other people, whether it’s like L who kind of does so intentionally or Light who puts on a mask for other ppl’s sake. I also think Light has a level of optimism that is extremely beneficial to him, as well as the willpower to do what he wants and to believe he is capable of achieving it, and his optimism isn’t something I see ppl mention a lot in regards to his character, but I view it as a strength. In the same vein, though, his willpower to achieve what he sets out to do is also a weakness, because he either grows bored of things easily once they are no longer challenging or he is too sure of himself. Not that I can really blame his mindset, considering he is a genius who has rarely if ever been challenged before meeting L, so it’s understandable as to why he possesses such a surety of himself. For L, I think his biggest weakness is how blunt he often is, and how it leads people to not cooperate with him, even the investigative team that work with him in canon. He is not an easily approachable individual, which is part of the reason he doesn’t interact with people in person. I also think L similarly has a drive to achieve what he wants just like Light, by any means necessary. We see it time and time again with his willingness to sacrifice people for answers, or with Light’s mock execution, etc. however, this is a double edged sword because that desire to win also creates more hostility

As for what I love about their dynamic? Oh god, I could go on and on. I like how effortlessly they read and understand one another. I like how they speak to each other in very strange almost coded ways. I like how they have this sort of affinity for one another despite being essentially opposing forces or opposite pieces of a chess game. I like that they’re enemies that don’t necessarily hate one another. I like how doomed they are by the narrative. I like that they are intrinsically tied to one another regardless of space, time or death. I like the melancholy to their relationship, the inherent tragedy of it. But most of all I like that they are the only person that has ever or will ever really know the other, and that they both know it but never really speak it. Because to me there is no greater intimacy than being understood.

For Kataang, I’d say one of Aang’s biggest strengths is his willingness to forgive. His compassion and empathy, too, but mainly his ability to forgive. A weakness for him would probably be his difficulty allowing people to show him affection, because it’s something he does struggle with in the show. He tends to bottle up emotions a lot, too, which is a weakness. For Katara, I’d say that her biggest strength is her willingness to help people in need, as well as her drive to be the best version of herself she can be. I’d say a weakness for her is that she has a lot of anger and tends to kind of explode and that said anger was almost a detriment to her.

As for what I love about their dynamic? I love that they balance one another. I love that they are each others best friend and confidant. I love that they really heal one another in a lot of ways through their relationship. I love how supportive they are of one another and how much they trust each other.

I’ll answer what I like dynamic wise about the other ships you listed :)

For Byler, I love that they are also childhood friends like kataang. I just love how much they care about one another, especially how much Mike cares about Will. It’s very sweet 🥹 I also love how easily they work together in the show, how Will really makes Mike feel genuinely loved and valued and how protective Mike is of Will.

For Eremika, I love how much Eren loves Mikasa 😭 I like how much he values her and how he goes from feeling jealous of her strength to valuing and accepting that. It was a really nice thing to see play out. I also love their whole backstory and how they met, and how much it meant to Mikasa. She’s so fiercely protective of him 😭😭😭 they make me emo

My only real complaint is that all the Marleyan Warriors families just happened to survive to the end. That felt so Disney to me. You see, Duke Eren is that grumpy, brooding type. Even though he's wealthy and undeniably handsome, no debutante or spinster in high society dares to consider him as a husband. Why? Well, imagine living with him. Impossible! His moods are as cold and impenetrable as the stone walls of his estate, and no one seems willing to endure his stern, distant manner. It's not that he's lacking in qualities that would make him an ideal match. Far from it. But he seems utterly unapproachable, and no one can stand the idea of trying to keep up with him.

And then there’s Mikasa. She’s a striking contrast to Eren’s stormy disposition, a "black cat" in human form with her sharp wit, sassy remarks, and an air of mystery that only makes men desire her more. She isn’t just beautiful; she’s the most coveted debutante of the season. Her intelligence and charm have left suitors scrambling for her attention, each one eager to win her hand. But Mikasa is utterly disappointed in men. To her, they all seem to fall short in one way or another. They’re just so… men. Predictable, tedious, and none of them have sparked even the slightest interest in her heart. It feels as if she’s waiting for someone who can match her wit, challenge her, and make her feel alive, something none of these fawning admirers have managed to do.

Then enter the dowager Duchess Carla and the Viscountess Ackerman, friends since the season they debuted together. Honestly, they haven't seen each other in quite some time. Since Carla married Lady Grisha, they have rarely returned to the Mitras season. Lady Ackerman doesn’t know Carla's son completely, but she senses he could be a match for Mikasa. Similarly, the dowager Duchess Carla is well aware that Mikasa might be just the right person for Eren. You see, Eren had been living a life of travel, and on one occasion, Duchess Carla met Lady Mikasa and was utterly enchanted by her.

However, after the death of Duke Grisha, Eren is forced to abandon his wandering ways and settle down. He has no desire to do so, believing marriage to be pointless. He even contemplates leaving his cousin Zeke and his children as heirs to the lands and title. Yet, Carla manages to make him see reason, and he eventually decides to marry, but he adamantly declares that he won't do it for love. No, marriage, to him, is not about romance.

When Mikasa makes her debut, Eren returns, and both of their mothers are determined to bring them together. Yet, neither Eren nor Mikasa truly wants to get married, so they agree to pretend to court each other to keep their mothers at bay for the rest of the season. As they feign affection, something unexpected happens: they begin to fall in love. Eren, who initially thought of Mikasa as the most stubborn and cunning lady in society, gradually begins to see her as the most beautiful and fascinating woman he has ever encountered. Meanwhile, Mikasa, who once viewed Eren as the toughest and roughest man, discovers that he possesses a good heart and shows considerable thoughtfulness towards women (at least by the standards of their time)

Eremika who haven’t seen each other in a few years meet again at uni or college. Mikasa remembers scrawny, angry, obsessive short-haired Eren. When they meet again she finds tall, super buff, manbun Eren who’s absolutely dtf at first sight

I don't know why, but for some reason my first thought was that they should meet doing MMA at their college club. I'm thinking they met doing karate as kids. Eren's mom put him in there hoping he'd learn self control and Mikasa was put in it so she could meet other kids. Armin goes, too, but mostly because Eren does it. Mikasa was homeschooled so they hadn't met her at school, but they become buddies. Mikasa moved up through the ranks much faster than Eren was able too, which of course pissed him off and he was always pestering her to spar with him. Eventually Mikasa gets her black belt and switches to studying a different martial arts discipline and, without their classes or matches to keep them in contact, they drift immediately apart.

You know how sometimes homeschooled kids start college early? (My cousins all did.) That's what Mikasa does. So she's already in her third year when Eren starts as a freshman. She helped found their school's MMA club with another student named Annie Leonhart, and the two girls are brutal taskmasters. This club is known for turning out top notch fighters. Eren has gone up against a few at MMA competitions (he's also moved on from karate) and they are very worthy opponents. He's thrilled to be joining the club himself.

Imagine his shock when he arrives and discovers that the hot upperclassman who is churning out all these skilled fighters is none other than his former karate rival (in his mind, at least), Mikasa Ackerman. (She's shy and doesn't like having her name or picture on the club's website etc, plus she's competing on a different level than Eren so they haven't run into each other.)

He is shocked, but not too shocked to do the Eren thing and immediately challenge her to spar. She accepts, but she's nervous because he's gotten really hot since they were kids and she thinks he smells really good. As soon as they're up close and personal, Eren starts freaking out, too, because he's grappling with this gorgeous girl right in front of everyone and he's definitely getting a boner, and she can definitely feel it. The sexual chemistry between them is insane. Everyone who's watching them is starting to feel uncomfortable.

Mikasa is so flustered that she gets swoony and decides to just let Eren win, then lays there on the mat for a moment, blushing and feeling very emotionally frail. Eren hustles off to the bathroom to wait out (or maybe take care of) his boner.

When club wraps up he approaches her to apologize if he made her uncomfortable, she tells him it's okay, then she makes a comment about letting him win this time and next time he won't beat her so easily. He, being Eren, bristles and is like, "oh yeah? Put your money where your mouth is!" and challenges her again. She accepts and this time she's ready for the intensity and she does beat him pretty handily, despite the sexual chemistry getting her all hot and bothered. While she's got him in a hold or whatever and her face is right next to his, he can't resist kissing her. She kisses him back, one thing leads to another, and they are doing a very different kind of grappling on the club room floor. 🫣

february writing challenge

for february i wanna do a little writing challenge, just since i feel like it’s a bit low effort, and i can get myself out of my writing slump, and have a chance to write for some of the ships ive been wanting to write for but its less committed. so i decided i wanted to do an alphabet challenge! basically since there are 26 letters in the alphabet and 28 days, i’ll attempt to post a little drabble/ficlet throughout the month for every day (starting early obviously) but i need words for each letter!

i plan on doing eremika, royai and timebomb, so feel free to send me any word for each letter! so far i have
