I have nothing but hate in my heart for people who are trying to associate Letitia Wright to Evangeline Lily in the light of her latest scandal when Letitia Wright has never made any anti-vaxx declarations, except when she posted a shady video back in 2020. However, she has never ever said anything about vaccines or the Covid vaccine ever since, and certainly has never attended any anti-vaxx rally or made an instagram post... but here we are, with people trying to put her in the same box as Evangeline Lily or bringing up her name...
Why not only focus on the White actress who's caused the scandal and not the Black actress who isn't even involved in this whole mess??
You guys only do this when Black actors or actresses are involved. I have never seen you guys bring up another White celebrity's past whenever a scandal comes up with another celebrity.
You have selective amnesia whenever White actors are involved but you can easily remember the problematic stuff a Black actor did 15 years ago.
You can easily forget Sebastian Stan's racist Instagram post when Colin Kaepernick was kneeling it was a post made by himself, not a rumor or a clickbait article but something he did.
You can easily forget Jeremy Renner's past racist interviews.
You can easily forget the time Chris Evans called Black Widow a wh*re because she had had dated more than one guy in her life.
Don’t even get me started on Chris Pratt, when I have yet to see any call to get Peter Quill recast.
But when it comes to Black celebrities your memory suddenly comes back.
I remember the time when people on this app and Twitter wanted to call Anthony Mackie problematic for a sandwich joke he made 7 years ago in Wendy William's show...
If you have taken this Evangeline Lily scandal as an opportunity to sh*t on Letitia Wright for allegedly being anti-vaxx, when she has never said so, and literally hasn't said anything over the past year: I hate you and you deserve it.
I've had to sit through dozens, and I mean dozens, of asks from White Sebastian Stan stans explaining to me that that kneeling post wasn't racist (spoiler alert it was), that he doesn't know about racism because he's from Romania, that he can't be racist because he's friends with Anthony, and hundreds of other little excuses explaining why he should be forgiven, saying that we should look for the context. And even though I didn't agree with all of it, I wasn't against the idea. And of course we have to look at the context, etc.... but why it this only valid for White actors???? Why are you able to dive deep in an article or Instagram post to find proof that this White actor isn't as problematic as people thought, but you can't do the same for a Black actor???
Why were people so quick to call Anthony Mackie homophobic over ONE misleading headline and an interview that only took portions of his actual reply in a podcast and was obviously written to make him look bad?
Why are people so quick to associate Letitia Wright to Evangeline Lily amid of this scandal when Letitia Wright was literally sitting in her corner doing nothing and people are still trying to drag her into this?
I'm all for calling celebrities out, especially when they f*ck up, but I won't do it over nothing. Do not try to involve Letitia Wright in another woman mess, if you’re not ready to explain your reasons.
Now, if you have proof that Letitia Wright is anti-vaxx, is spreading misinformation or anything, we can talk. But I highly doubt that because I believe most of you are just spreading stupid rumors based on stupid clickbait articles.
If you have serious allegations ok, if not, sh*t up and stop being racist for free.
It's not "don't be racist to unproblematic people only". You shouldn't be racist period.

Writers
@pagesoflauren – Let me tell you about my friend Lauren... Lauren is a fantastic writer, she is always blowing me away with her talents. I’m also in awe of how she always makes time to give us chapters even though she has a hectic life schedule. Shang-Chi (2021) Review Pt. 2
This one will be about the less character-relevant stuff, such as casting, props, settings, and design.
Easiest first: props and costumes.
A bit cool, a bit silly, and bit too "Chinese-themed".
The old Ten-Ring troops had normal armor for the time and age. The new Ten Ring troops looked like the Snake-Eyes fodder ninjas but with tassled helmets. Like I appreciate what they were going for, but...it look dumb dude. And what they were doing with only one hook sword? The electrified thing was cool, but y'all didn't use the bladed hand guard, the combo hook move, the spiked pommel...wasted potential smh. And then the electric arc crossbows....again I appreciate the idea, but that was silly, especially after we showed the Ten Rings sniper with a normal ass gun. Or, just go full sino-futurism and give me the chainsaw spiked club, the electrified monk's spade, taser three section staff.
The villager's clothes were too...saturated, and monochromatic. It kinda reminded me of Mulan (2020) actually, the white people's ancient Chinese clothing. In contrast, in the he TianLongBaBu wuxia series I've been watching, people dress in...normal earth tones. Oh also, too many fucking sandals, where are my black loafers and thick white socks, with rope bindings? Like the kind modern Shaolin monks wear?? The villager's weapons too. Only Xialing's was kind of interesting, the rest are vanilla staffs and sword+shield. Boooo. Where's the dragonscale fangtianhuaji? The dragonscale guandao? Ok I'm done. Just disappointed.
Wenwu's costumes were pure drip in every scene. Zero complaints.
Shang-Chi's letterman's jacket was my favorite costume to be honest. He should not have changed in the village. The final costume seemed a bit too...modern, but not quite to the level of the Black Panther suit. It just seemed like Western superhero top with a vaguely Chinese pattern on it. Or it looked kindof...southeast asian? Wish it had no sleeves.
Katy should've kept her Macau drip. The "traditional" robe just didn't look right.
Xialing looked the best in her inverse Bruce Lee colors crop top and sweats. Like damn.
Ying Li's robes' green is too saturated in my opinion, unnaturally. Same with Michelle Yeoh's character. Now that I think about it, I hardly ever see bright green in traditional Chinese clothes...or modern Chinese fashion. Her pristine white/biege wushu outfit is also meh for me.
Death Dealer's dark blue + yellow colors are quite striking, but a bit odd and out of place with the rest of the Ten Rings' getup. Perhaps it was intentional, since he's the elite trainer? I wish it was more modern, a la Snake Eyes' suit. I would also like to complain about his opera face makeup though; why only the top half? Is that even a real opera face design? It's kind of a dumb half-ass reference I think. Like, Noh masks are used all the time for creepy effect, why not Beijing Opera?
Next, CGI animals.
Morris the Hundun/Dijiang was cute, but I half expected him to suddenly go nuts and devour Slattery, since the Hundun is one of the primordial evil beasts. But Disney needs their marketable mascot. I even saw a Lego piece for him before the movie was released!
The trip through the other world was a bit too safari-like. Like wow, the Ninetails is just chilling by the road, and a herd of Qilin conveniently pass by. The execution of these creatures were fine, though the Qilin eyes were too "dead".
I don't have problems with the Lions' design, but they were completely unnecessary, and lowered the stakes for the final battle for me. Those two lions could literally tear apart all five of Wenwu's trucks in less than a minute.
I stated already, the big evil monster, the little soulsuckers, and the dragon are completely unnecessary to me. Even when I saw just the wood carving of the soulsucking bats, I felt disappointed. Xialing and Shangchi spent way too long riding the big dragon and not doing kungfu :/
Onto settings.
I just recently visited Bay Area! The hilliness of SF was nicely showed off by the bus fight.
Macao seemed well-grounded and normal for a modern Chinese metropolis. Was portrayed better than Tokyo was in Snake Eyes in my opinion. The bamboo scaffolding scene reminded me heavily of Rush Hour 2's Hong Kong fight, and I could hear Jackie Chan assuring us "don't worry, Chinese bamboo, very strong!".
The Ten Rings compound was...eh. No defining features to locate it anywhere real so whatever. But the interior was weirdly homey?
The Ta Lo village is what I really want to complain about: why they gotta throw Chinese people back to the Xia dynasty like that? Straw huts? Really? And there was a total of like 7 buildings there, across a tiny area. That is not a village, it's a medium-sized temple complex. Kung Fu Panda 3's hidden panda village was loads more impressive, with interesting geography. This was on a flat plane next to a pond. Combined with the costuming, it's like hello, it's hokey Western orientalism again.
Casting.
Tony Leung. Perfect. Outstanding. Phenomenal. Sexy as hell. I have recovered fully from Lust, Caution. I see on Tiktok that westerners are thirsting after him, and I am very satisfied. The "Killmonger-Loki" Effect is now the "Wenwu-Killmonger-Loki" Effect. I only wish he were younger, because I hate the "daddy" kink. Mr. Leung, you are a hero to Asian-American men. Thank you.
Awkwafina. Yeah she is pretty good as the unabashed ABC friend. But lately, I feel she has been over-used as the main Chinese-American actress. On some social media, I have seen Black users complain of her 'blaccent' and vow to boycott Shang-Chi in protest. I'm inclined to defend her, as it is probably what she grew up with, and the boycott feels like another attempt to draw moral hierarchical divisions between minorities. Similar sentiment is "yall didn't come out for Black Panther, why should we come out for Shang-Chi?". I don't have any data as to whether 'we' did come out for Black Panther, but I generally disapprove of POC factionalism.
Simu Liu. I'm glad that Westerners are thirsting over him too. I'm glad he's very enthusiastic and affable, and well-liked in the Asian-American community. He's us! And he got a shirtless scene! But the catch is...he doesn't fit the current Chinese standard for "hot guy actor".
From the majority angle: that's toxic af. He's hot enough, why are we being so picky with dumb Asian beauty standards? Will we ever properly support ourselves? Like damn, this is the first Asian-American lead in a goddamn Marvel movie, and this is how you treat him?? By the Heavens.
From the other angle: his eyes are small, his jaw kind of round, head kind of wide. Not the most masculine, but definitely not feminine. He's a normal Chinese-American dude. Chinese dude, Harbin, Heilongjiang born. Compare that to Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Paul Rudd, Chris Pratt, Sebastian Stan, Chadwick Boseman, Anthony Mackie, etc. These are among the finest western specimens; why did the pick the Asian hero to be played by the 'normal-looking' dude? Was Jackson Wang not available? Or Ludi Lin? I personally have a suspicion that his appearance most fits the stereotypical look of an Asian man to Western audiences, and that's why he was cast.
He's received hate for this, from Reddit r/aznidentity, the sub that I frequent, which currently is cheering Shang-Chi's box-office success. That's toxic af, and must be heartbreaking for him. Unfortunately, it's part of the larger conflict of Western and Eastern media, representation, markets, and culture. And that's a big fish to wrangle in part 3.

Emily VanCamp Weighs in on Why Sharon Carter Doesn't Need a Love Interest (Exclusive)
Last we saw Sharon Carter in the MCU, she'd stolen Steve Rogers' (Chris Evans) star-spangled shield for him and he'd warned her the government was going to come looking for her. And then they kissed -- though it was a kiss that became a kiss off as a handful of movies passed, a global Blippening came and went, and Steve ghosted Sharon for her aunt.
Now, Sharon is back in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, though this version of the one-time S.H.I.E.L.D. agent -- living as a fugitive on the lawless island nation of Madripoor -- is more like to steal from you (and/or kill you) than steal for you. "It's been a minute!" says Emily VanCamp, reprising her role as Sharon. Reluctantly, Sharon is dragged into Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes' (Sebastian Stan) latest adventure as their paths cross over a rogue super soldier serum and a shadowy bad guy known as the Power Broker.
"I'm so happy that people are happy to have Sharon back. You never know. It's a very particular fandom and you want to make 'em proud," she tells ET. "It's really nice to hear that people are glad she's back, because I certainly had a great time coming back to do this."
Following her return in episode three, "Power Broker," VanCamp spoke with ET's Ash Crossan by Zoom to discuss embodying a very different Sharon Carter and why she doesn't need a love interest this time around.
ET: Sharon has lived since we last saw her. How in-depth did you go with Kari [Skogland, director] and Malcolm [Spellman, head writer] about everything Sharon's been doing since Civil War?
I remember sitting down with Kari right before we started shooting -- and we'd talked about it at length with our producers and everything before I even came onboard to do it -- it was like, what are we doing here with Sharon? Are we going to address everything? How is this going to work? And I loved everything they had pitched, which was, "Look, she's been a fugitive on the run this entire time, so when we meet Sharon again, it's a very different Sharon than we've seen before." And I do think they really came through on that. We don't dive too much into where she's been, but you certainly get a sense that it hasn't been easy. It's a hardened version of Sharon. She's not so wide-eyed and idealistic as she once was, because obviously, she's been through it and hasn't gotten that pardon that she wants. She's been on the run, so you can imagine.
You touched on this, but what question did you have about?
So much about where has she been? Why wasn't she pardoned? What has she been doing? How has she survived? Just so many different things. And we touch on it a little bit -- that she hasn't been able to speak to her family. That she's been on the run all on her own, and no one was there to come and rescue her. That's the sort of idea in her mind. And I was just trying to infuse all of that bitterness into who Sharon once was and marry those ideas.
I love that Bucky is like, "Wow, she's kind of awful now." Like, no, she's amazing.
Yeah, and of course, as the person playing the character, I'm like, "Well, you're awful!" [Laughs] You inevitably become protective of the characters you're playing. I love that he says that, because it's true! She's just a very different Sharon, and there's no denying it.
I know you got a lot of love from fans after the episode. Do you think that Sharon was underestimated before?
I wouldn't say underestimated. I just think those movies are so big with so many characters to service and so many stories to tell that it's just hard to fit everyone in. There wasn't so much room to develop Sharon, so I don't think it's anyone's fault, I just think, you know, it's nice that with this platform, they're able to go a little bit deeper into some characters that maybe we haven't gotten to see in the movies, just because of time.
Well, there was the romance between Sharon and Steve that didn't really take off. But now people are sensing some tension between Bucky and Sharon, especially since the first episode focused on him being single. Some feeling Sam and Sharon. Do you think there's a connection there? Does she even need a love interest, honestly?
[Shaking her head] No! She doesn't need a love interest. We already tried that with Steve. It just got way too weird. And honestly, I think that one of the nice things about this Sharon and coming back to play this character is that we get to move away from the sort of love story of it all and explore Sharon as we see her now and what she's been through. It's more about that than trying to establish some kind of love connection. And it also would take away from their journeys, as well. They're both on their own separate journeys and together, and so it just-- I personally [think] there wouldn't have been room for that.
I'm more into where Sharon is going. Are we going to get more insight into how she became this arts dealer hustler in Hightown? I mean, there are a lot of theories floating around about Sharon.
There are! And I love that there are theories already floating around. That means people are talking about it, which is awesome. I can't say anything beyond that, actually. [Laughs] I'm trying to think of, like, what I can say. I definitely don't want to give anything away. I will say there are more characters to come, which is exciting. The beautiful thing about this show, too, is how gray everything is. Even who we might consider to be a villain, there's just a really good handle on every character's perspective and reasoning and I just find that much more interesting than black-and-white villain versus hero.
You're so right. Because I never thought we'd get to a point where people are loving Zemo and hating Captain America!
I know! It's crazy! But that's the cool thing about what Marvel is doing, especially with these shows. It's really interesting.
Do you have a favorite fan theory you've read so far about the show?
Oh gosh. I'm not, like, as knowledgeable as I should be about the comic book world, so sometimes I don't even know what some of the theories are. But no, I'd rather just let everyone watch and see what happens. Because if I start talking too much, then I'll give stuff away. [Laughs]
I'm all aboard the Sharon is Power Broker theory. I love it. If she wants to be, yes. She can have whatever she wants.
Whatever Sharon wants! I love that theory. Just whatever she wants.

Weekend Top Ten #476
Top Ten Theories About Falcon, the Winter Soldier, and the Future of the MCU
The penultimate episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was amazing. Can we agree on that? I know in general the show isn’t the masterpiece WandaVision was; it doesn’t have the intricate puzzle-box structure, or that show’s desire to mess with form. It’s a show treading the same path as the Captain America movies (fittingly enough); relatively straight street-level bust-ups with a political globe-trotting bent. Bourne in tights, if you will. But even within that margin, it’s still not been tremendous; the pacing’s been a bit off, both in individual episodes and across the series as a whole. But there have been moments of greatness; the fight scenes and choreography has been mostly excellent, for a start. And the performances are great; it’s so nice to see Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan being given the space to cut loose and show what they’ve got as they move out of Chris Evans’ shadow. Wyatt Russell is superb as the tormented John Walker; and Daniel Brühl’s Zemo is already the stuff of meme legends. So, all in all, it’s pretty good, if not top tier; but the latest episode, man oh man.
One of the themes of the show has always been institutional racism (it’s right there from the start, with Sam and Rhodey’s first conversation). Bringing this issue right to the forefront, with Sam’s not-so-cosy chat with former supersoldier Isiah Bradley, the most recent episode offered a side of the MCU we’ve never really seen before. It’s so great a huge mass-market Disney property like this can allow its creators the chance to speak openly about race, to present marketable, profitable characters like Captain America as symptoms of a racist society. Bradley’s line about “they’ll never let a Black man be Captain America, and no self-respecting Black man would want to be,” is right up there with “bury me at sea, like my ancestors who leapt from the ships, because they knew death was better than bondage” in terms of things I never thought I’d hear from a Disney property. Sam’s struggle, and his acceptance of his role, was just terrific. I know it’s West Wing-style wishy-washiness, but the idea that the idea of Captain America – of America – is worth striving for and fighting for, is a glorious one; it’s what makes Hamilton so good, even though we know the reality is stained with blood like John Walker’s shield. All this plus Sam helping Bucky deal with his trauma! What a good episode.
Anyway, a bit like I did with WandaVision, here are ten thoughts about where the series could be heading as we approach the finale – and where the MCU itself might be going from here…
Tumblr media
A Good Man: Dr. Erskine said it when Steve first took the formula; “Not a perfect soldier, but a good man.” Steve, it’s implied, is the best Super Soldier because he’s the best man. When he handed Sam the shield in Endgame, he said, “You’re a good man, Sam.” And Sam is a good man; witness how he tried to reason with Karli, how he helped his sister, how he reached out to Bucky to counsel him. The fact that he’s taking up the shield at all, despite everything Bradley said, is because someone needs to be Captain America, and that having a Black man in the role might just make things better for the next generation, even if it makes things worse for Sam. He’s just a good man, and this is going to become evident when all hell breaks loose and everyone descends on New York for the finale; you just know that he’ll be the one to make the sacrifice play, to reach out a hand to Karli or even John. And the whole world will be watching…
Heroes Without Borders: Captain America was created by the US government to fight a war; after Steve retired, they created their own new Cap in John Walker. It’s a role that’s therefore tied to the USA. But the history of the USA, even just in relation to the Super Soldier program, is downright murky. So I think Wilson’s Cap will make it very clear that he’s his own man. He’s wielding a shield that is (presumably) created in an alternate timeline, and wearing a suit built in Wakanda. He has no ties to the government, and it’ll stay that way – especially if he starts to recruit a new batch of Avengers…
The Death of the Winter Soldier…: Bucky’s arc is complete. He was captured and brainwashed, turned into a freeze-dried assassin for seventy years. After being rescued by Steve, he was healed by Shuri, but he still has decades of trauma and guilt. Teaming up with Sam, and being forced to work alongside Zemo, has mellowed him, allowed him to start forgiving himself. It looks as though, with his smiles and jokes on the boat, that he’s finally found some degree of peace. So it stands to reason that he’s going to die in the last episode. Probably defending Karli from John Walker or Batroc the Leaper or something like that.
…The Life of the White Wolf: alternatively, maybe he doesn’t die! Maybe, like he said, he’s going to bugger off to Wakanda. In that case, I think we’ll next see him as the White Wolf in Ryan Coogler’s Wakanda-set Disney+ series. Perhaps he’ll end up being an official Wakandan agent, helping to keep his adopted homeland safe.
Thunderbolts Are Go: in the comics, Zemo is associated with the team of villains-but-sometimes-not the Thunderbolts. I think that’s coming here, too; but I think it’ll be formed by Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine; after all, she was in Washington picking up Captain Americas (Captains America?). Stands to reason that she has an eye on building her own team of Avengers. Maybe Batroc could join too? And – hey! – didn’t Black Widow have a sister…?
The New Avengers: I said earlier, but I think one of Sam’s first jobs will be to reboot the Avengers. After the double-whammy of Civil War and Endgame, they’re toast; almost all their members are either dead or off the table. Let’s rule out Bucky for now; Sam’s first stop will probably be War Machine. Who’s next? Strange? Spidey? Sharon? I wonder if a simmering, recurring plot point in the next couple of movies/shows will be Sam’s attempts to rebuild the team. “Hey, Bruce; what’s your cousin Jennifer’s number?”
Brokered Power: the identity of the Power Broker is one of those no-one’s-talking-about-it-but-it’s-obviously-a-big-deal mysteries in the show. Nobody seems to care or be interested, but just who is this seemingly all-powerful string-puller in Madripoor? One thought could be that it’s Sharon Carter herself; her total about-face on the issue of heroism could be a façade to mask the decisions she’d made as the de facto crime empress. But that feels a bit too neat to me. Our new friend Valentina, perhaps? Sharon looked like she was siccing Batroc onto Karli at the Broker’s behest; is this just because the Broker wants his Serum (or revenge for Karli taking it), or does the Broker secretly have a more benign plan, and is actually trying to stop further bloodshed? My money’s on it either being someone totally new or relatively unknown, or a forgotten villain from an older MCU movie. Is it too much to hope that it turns out to be Trevor Slattery?
Agent Carter: regardless of what happens with the Power Broker, I think we really will see Sharon Carter return to the forefront of MCU heroics. She could actually fill the Black Widow slot in the Avengers, unless the plan is for Yelena to step into her sister’s big black boots (and assuming that Natasha really is dead, of course). But I think Sam’s heroics as the new Cap – plus him keeping his word – will be enough to convince her that there really was something to the heroism Aunt Peggy talked about for all those years. Maybe if the Avengers are too mainstream, she could lead a kind of “Agents of SWORD” black ops team? Maybe that’s where Bucky will end up too!
Teaming Up: and speaking of teams… does anyone else feel like we’re getting a veritable league of different super-teams in the MCU? We’ve got the Avengers and the Guardians already; once Ms. Marvel and Ironheart have taken their bow, I wouldn’t be surprised if Young Avengers reared their bumfluffed heads (maybe with a now-teenage reincarnated Tommy and Billy from WandaVision). Smart money is on Zemo and the Thunderbolts. There’s SWORD, filling the SHIELD void. They’re making a new movie about the Fantastic Four. Eternals comes out this year. At some point down the road we’ll see the X-Men. That’s a lot of different teams, and my crazy theory is this is all deliberate. At some point these teams are going to collide. Whether that’s just your typical Avengers-style team-up movie, or if this is where the whole franchise is pointing in ten years’ time, I don’t know; but it’ll be fun finding out!
Only One Captain America: so, where is Steve? Is he still around? Is he still alive? My theory is that he went home; it’s safe to assume that the Old Steve who sat on the bench in Endgame had travelled from an alternate timeline, one created by Steve returning to the 1940s to have a happy ever after with Peggy. A world where Cap was around after WWII would be very different; especially a Cap who knew about HYDRA’s plans to infiltrate the government, to say nothing of Thanos’ plan for half of everything. So it’s likely that he hasn’t just spent seventy years chilling on the veranda; I’m guessing he’s been at work. And I think he’s gone back home. Maybe his universe’s Sorcerer Supreme helped him with a bit of universe-skipping; who knows. But I just don’t think he’s around, and contrary to some suspicions, I don’t think we’ll see him in the FAWS finale. Whilst more Chris Evans is always nice, and whilst a few words of encouragement from Cap I to Cap II could be lovely, I don’t think they should detract from Sam’s moment by wheeling in his beloved predecessor. So, sorry, Steve; but I think from here on in there’s only one Captain America.

You’re not a freak, you’re my daughter; Sebastian Stan x teen reader
Now this request has some triggers in it mostly revealing the daughter to be a lesbian now I will say this now. I am NOT gay but that doesn’t mean I Hate gays. Bis, pans whatever sexuality you are. I do NOT discriminate that so if you give me hate for this piece just because it’s dealing with coming out of the closet, you WILL be sorry. Now I hope I did this piece justice for you guys on Tumblr (I did do good to some people who had told me they were gay on wattpad) I just hope I do good with this request I had gotten cause I really wanted to make this as real as I could with the fears ad doubts people have when it comes to revealing something like this to parents.
Tumblr media
________________________________________________________
Another day, another close call. Not only did I have to keep my secret safe from my dad and grandma but also the press. Swarming around celebrities and their children like buzzards to a carcass asking them questions about the latest dirt on them, yeah being the daughter of a celebrity especially one like Sebastian Stan has its ups and downs sometimes downs but mostly ups. Whenever I feel down or alone, my dad almost has this superpower of knowing what to do to make me feel better.
Whether it's taking me out for ice cream to the best ice cream shop in New York, to a picnic in Central Park, or just staying inside watching FRIENDS on Netflix. Even when he's away filming he always tries to call me even when the time zones are different just to talk with me while I say over at my grandma Elisabeta's place.
And being his daughter also has its perks when he allows you to meet some of his co-stars and dearest friends. Like I've known my uncle Chase Crawford ever since I was a little girl when he and my dad met on The Covenant, ever since then he's been the best uncle I could ever ask for taking me in whenever my dad or my grandma are too busy too, sometimes I think of Uncle Chace as a godfather than an uncle and I think my dad does think that sometimes too.
Then when my dad got involved with the Marvel films that's when things got really big for him and for me, I then got to meet Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Olsen and the rest of the Marvel family once Civil War came out. The Marvel family soon became my family as my dad had taken me to all three Captain America premieres as his "date". Since then, my dad has become the hottest celebrity and the hottest Marvel dad to appear in the media, if anything bad or shady to happen in his life would ruin his career for life, which brings us to the present day.
I was in my room holding on my phone waiting for a special someone that I had met while my dad was on the press tour for Civil War to call me. My phone rang and I answered it and said.
"Hello sweetie".
"Hey, I just saw the recent video of your dad at Wizard World, you are so lucky to be related to him".
I smirked then replied back.
"Yeah well I had to get my sexy Romanian genes from someone right?"
"Oh of course you gorgeous Romanian Goddess, so when do I get to meet him?”
That's when my stomach dropped. I couldn't do this to my dad, I mean if this got out, I'd ruin his life forever.
"I don't know...."
"Sweetie, I gotta meet your dad, he won't get mad. I mean he probably knows what this is like since he's played characters like this throughout the first part of his career, right?"
"Yeah but....but what if he does accept but the media doesn't? My dad is finally being recognized for his talents I couldn't do this to him, it would ruin his good name".
"I understand sweetie, but I also understand that if you don't tell him then I might as well just drop by and tell him myself".
"And if you do that, I'll punish you".
"Ohhh is mommy getting angry? Does mommy wanna spank me?"
"Very tempted to". I then heard footsteps coming towards my room and I quickly said, "Hold on it's my grandma I got to go!"
"Okay, I love you"."I love you too, bye-bye" I quickly hung up as my grandma opened the door and said.
"(Y/n) sweetie your dad's back from the convention in Philadelphia". I stood up and said.
"Thanks bunica". I kissed her cheek and walked down the hall and saw my dad standing in the living room.
"There's my number one girl in the world".
"Hey dad" I walked over to him and he kissed my cheek and brought me close to his arms.
"Were you good for your grandma while I was gone?"
"The best".
"Oh don't you go lying to your father now young lady. I caught her texting someone very late Friday night after I had sent her to bed".
"Really? Who was texting you?" My dad asked with a raised eyebrow. I couldn't tell the two most important people of my life about my secret so I quickly covered it up.
"One of my friends had texted me. She was on vacation in Spain and she was sending me as well as a few other friends some pictures and stories about her and her family vacation".
"Well for that little white lie, you get a visit from the tickle monster!" Dad then began to tickle me around my sides. I scrunched up against him and tried to get away from him but my dad's strong arms kept me close to him as I was soon pushed onto the couch and soon felt him tickling my stomach.
"No! Nohohoho dad stohahahap ihihihit!"
"Hmmm I don't know. Say my dad is the greatest dad in the whole world and he's better than Anthony Mackie then I may just stop".
"Tahahaha-Tahahaha!"
"Alright Sebastian she's had enough, let her off".
"Okay fine". He finally stopped tickling me. I breathed heavily then I sat up and he said, "I kinda wish you came to Wizard World with me, I had told the guys I would bring you".
"I'm sorry dad, but I had promised Aaron that I'd tutor him in Biology, the guy would be lost without me having his back".
"That he would, now go pack your stuff and we can head back home okay?" I nodded then I ran back to the guestroom and packed up my suitcase then I hugged grandma bye and then Sebastian and I walked a couple of miles to the subway and headed up street to our place.
When we got home, I settled my stuff in my room and collapsed onto my bed then I felt my dad collapse beside me and he said.
"So baby girl, I'm free for the next several weeks, what do you wanna do?"
"Catch up on Friends?"
"Alright, I'll set up Netflix if you order the pizza".
"You got it dude" We then got up and then spent the rest of the day eating pizza, junk food and binge watching Friends.
Later that night, I was all ready for bed when dad came in and he sat down beside my bed and said.
"You glad to have me back sweetheart?"
"Honestly I was hoping you wouldn't come back, I hated seeing your ugly mug everyday" I teased at him smirking. He smirked back at me and playfully tackled me into my bed. The two of us wrestled playfully for a while before he finally stopped and tucked me in.
"Baby girl, you know you can always tell me anything right?"
"Yeah of course I do, dad why are you telling me this?"
"I just wanted to let you know that I'm willing to listen to anything you have to say, cause I feel like something's bothering you".
"Nothing's bothering me I promise okay" I didn't intend for that response to be too defensive but nothing gets pass over Papa Stan's eyes.
"Okay. Goodnight micuţa mea" he kissed my forehead gingerly and walked out of my room shutting the door softly. As I laid there on my bed, tears ran down my face as I couldn't take hiding this from him any longer. I wanted to tell him along with bunica Elisabeta but I couldn't face the shame and humiliation that they'll look at me if they find out, not to mention if the press got a hold of it, I could just picture it now: "Sebastian Stan: Father of a freak!"
The next couple of days, I've been trying to avoid doing anything with my tata or my bunica because I had made plans with (g/n) to go out for a picnic at Central park. I had a feeling that they were suspicious of my behavior but I tried to act it off and play it cool with them.
"Hey (y/n)! Can you come down here a second please?" I heard my dad call out. I placed my phone down after texting (g/n) about our picnic and I headed for the living room where I saw my dad and my grandma sitting on the couch. "Come and sit down with us for a second baby girl," I cautiously sat in-between my dad and my grandma and I asked.
"What's up you guys?"
"(Y/n), iepuraș your father and I have been noticing you've been acting not like yourself lately. Are you okay?"
"Fine, fine everything is fine" I stated. My heart began to race in fear that they were beginning to piece things together.
"Are you sure? Lately you've been sneaking out to god knows where, you've cancelled on all our plans and you always keep your phone at your hand more than you usually do. Are you sure there isn't anything you want to talk to us about?" asked my dad.
"Why are you guys hounding me about this?!" I didn't mean to snap at them as I shot up from the couch.
"Sweetheart we're not hounding you. We're just concerned about you, are you doing anything bad? Is someone threatening you? Stalking you? I just need to know what's wrong with my dragă" my dad said as he reached out for me. I swatted his hands away and turned away and muttered.
"You just don't understand".
"Then help us understand".
"I can't!"
"Why not?!"
"BECAUSE THEN YOU'D BE RUINED BY BEING MY FATHER!!" I then raced out of the apartment and ran to the only place I knew I could hide well, (g/n)'s house.
My dad just stood there in shock as I had ran out and he immediately took out his phone and scrolled till he saw my number.
"Sebastian hold on," he turned to his mom and she continued as she placed a gentle hand on his arm, "give her some time to cool down, then give her a call".
"Mom I—I just don't understand why she's so mad at me all of a sudden? This isn't my little girl that I held before, in fact ever since her first date when she was 13 she's been acting odd. I don't know what to do anymore".
"All you can do is be there for her. You're a great father, you've raised her and loved her ever since the day she was born. You've always put her first and she knows you love her. Being a teenager is hard, you went through it too, especially when we first moved here to America".
"Oh god don't even remind me. That was practically Hell for me".
"Language young man!" His mother scowled as she hit him in the back of the head. "Just give her a few minutes, then call her and calmly talk to her, she'll come back around".
"I hope so Ma, I really hope so".
After about 10 minutes, my dad called my cell but was shocked to hear it so close by. He and his mother raced to my room only to find my phone sitting on the dresser by my bed but no me.
"Oh god, now who knows where she might be? It's getting dark soon, she could've ran away and got captured or mugged or god knows what else. I've gotta report this!"
"Hold on Sebastian, she's texted someone recently," my grandma said as unlocked the phone to reveal my messages. "Sebastian, do you know of a (g/n)?"
"No I don't think so". They sat down on my bed and scrolled up to see hundreds of messages between the two of us. Some of them just joking around to the ones wed speak of each other in endearment. And to be even more romantic I had even sent her some messages of speaking loving endearments in Romanian to her telling her she was the light of my endless dark tunnel. She was my soulmate and that I loved her more than life itself. It was then my dad and grandma knew why I had been acting strange.
I was gay.
"What kind of father am I? I should've seen the signs".
"Sebastian—"
"Mom I'm her father, how could I have not known this? Hell as the first part of my career I've played a gay character I should've seen the struggles she was going through but was so afraid to tell me. No wonder why she said that she'd ruin me. But she won't, she's my daughter and I'll always support her. But god—the fear that she must've been going through for years, too afraid to tell me even you, god I'm such a bad father".
"Now what did I just say to you Sebastian Stan. You are a great father to (y/n)! You've always put her first before anything else, and right now more than ever she needs you. As well as me".
"But ma, (y/n)'s head is probably telling her that we hate her because we're onto the fact that she's gay. Hell she's probably terrified".
"Maybe but if anything she may just be at this (g/n)'s house, thinking that might be the only safe place for her right now".
"What can I do to make this right to her?"
"What you've always done for her my son, be her father". Sebastian looked down at my phone then called "Chocolachino" on his phone.
Meanwhile I was curled up with (g/n) in her bed sobbing into her chest with her arms wrapped around me.
"It's okay, it's okay. Listen, I don't think your dad and your grandma hate you".
"But they know something's up. Like I've said over and over again it's only a matter of time before someone gets a wind of this and ruin my father's career". Suddenly her phone began to ring and when she held it, it showed my number. "Oh god, I'm such an idiot! Why, why, why did I leave my phone in my room? Now they really know".
"Well should I answer it?" My brain was telling me 'hell no!' Because I was probably in for it as it is for worrying them so much. But my heart was screaming louder than my brain and just wanted this to be over and done with because I couldn't take hiding this anymore. This has been weighing me down for years when I found out that I was gay and now that I have a girlfriend, the fear only weighed heavier on my heart and soul. I held out my hand and she handed me her phone and I answered.
"Hello?"
"Oh (y/n), thank god you're safe".
"What do you want dad?"
"Sweetheart—I know the truth, and I want you to come home". I closed my eyes sorrow-filled then I choked out.
"You're disgusted with me, aren't you?"
"I won't answer that unless you come home, just you. We'll sit down and have a long talk about this, just please come home". That's not the answer I was hoping for but again I just wanted to get this over and done with.
"Give me 5 minutes".
"Okay, see you when you get here". We both hung up and I looked to (g/n) and said, "he now knows. And he wants to talk about it. He didn't sound happy but he also didn't sound angry. He basically just spoke to me in the Winter soldier's voice at this moment, something inbetween so who knows what he wants to say, but he wants me home now".
"Do you want me to come with you for support?"
"No, no this—this is something that I have to do on my own, but thanks dragă". I kissed her then I left through the window and scaled down skillfully to the ground and got back on my bike and rode off back to the house. All the while my brain was kicking me down and my inner demons began talking to me.
'You've really done it this time'.
'Your grandma will think you're garbage and your old man? He'll boot you out the second you reach that door'.
'How could you do this to him? He's Sebastian Fucking Stan? You've tainted him!' Tears boiled in my eyes as I finally reached home and slowly made my way up the stairs to my floor. When I stood before my door, my heart was racing like I had just won the marathon and ran the Forest Gump trail all over the USA. My palms sweating and tears blurring my vision as I reached for the doorknob and slowly turned it.
When I opened the door, I took notice that it was completely dark inside. I guided myself through the hallways until I had found the light switch and as soon as I turned on the lights, I was greeted with people jumping out from behind the furniture, some balloons, streamers, a BIG (f/f) cake and a banner that stated in big bold letter.
CONGRATS FOR COMING OUT!!
And along with my grandma and my dad was Chris Evans, Elizabeth Olson, Anthony Mackie and my uncle/god father Chace Crawford.
"Wha?" I choked out.
"Oh man little Stanner's bringing in the water works, no worries I know how to handle this, come 'ere sweet heart and let me give you a Big Mackie bear hug, come on bring it in here" uncle Anthony came up to me and brought me into one of his famous Mackie-bear hugs. He gently rocked me back and forth a couple of times which made my stunned body relax then when he felt I was satisfied he separated from me and soon uncle Chris came up to me next.
Fans have always said they were lucky enough to get hugs from Captain America, what they didn't was the full satisfaction it was when his hugs really meant something. Strong and protective yet comforting and warm. Like a big cuddly teddy bear.
"Congrats for coming out like this (y/n), Team Cap is honored to have someone like you on our side". Next up was Elizabeth Olson, whenever it came to us, she was like the really cool and laid back big sister that I never had before.
"Congrats (y/n), you are a brave, brave soul to come out like this". She kissed the crown of my head and then came in uncle Chace.
"Alright my turn, get in here" he brought me into his arms. "I know it's never easy to admit to something like this, but you should feel proud to know you've got so many people who still love you whether you are straight, gay, pan or whatever you end up loving". Uncle Chace kissed my temple and rubbed my back soothingly in circles then he separated from me and there stood my grandma.
She immediately hugged me and said in my ear as she rocked me.
"Never scare us like that again. You never have to be ashamed to tell me or your father these things. You have always been my little iepuraș, and you always will be no matter what you choose". I sniffled and then finally I stood before my dad. Silence came over the room as everyone stared at us then I finally broke the silence, choking on my sobs as my grandma stayed by my side with a comforting hand on my back.
"I'm sorry. I just didn't know how you would react. I got so afraid that if the press had found out then they'd label you as the Father of a freak. And I just didn't—I couldn't put you through that. I didn't want my sexuality to ruin your career tata". Tears fell down from my cheeks to my neck or my jaw as I saw my father staring at me with a look of strength and empathy.
"I know how hard this is (y/n). Coming out as something that people claim to be "not normal", it's always hard for a parent to hear. And while some parents may not support their child's decisions, never think for a second that I would be against you on this. If the media or any of my fans even speak one bad word of you, I'll retaliate as the Winter Soldier and do everything in my power to protect you. I am not the Father of a freak, I am the father of (y/n) (y/m/n) Stan. She's smart, she's pretty, she's funny, and she's the greatest treasure that I could ever ask for from the moment I held her in my arms the very day she was born. She's my best friend and my number one girl and that'll never change". His words pierced my heart like a knife as he was killing me with love and tenderness.
"What did you want to talk about from the phone call?"
"I want to hear this from your own mouth and not a text this time, (y/n), do you love (g/n)?" I lowered my head then walked into my dad's arms which immediately wrapped around me as I finally let out my tears and cried into his shoulder.
I felt my dad rocking me softly one of his hands rubbing circles on my back while the other one held my head stroking my hair and the back of my neck. He adjusted me so that my head was now over his heart. The gentle beating of it soothed me and began to ease my crying.
"Shhh, shhh, I'm here scumpa mea, I'm here. Tati's here. Shhh, shhh, never think for a second that you're a freak. I'll always love you, no matter what you choose. I'm happy you found someone, and I'm happy for both you and her". After what felt like forever being in my dad's safe and protective arms, I separated from him and sniffled one last time before taking a deep breath and my dad wiped away my tearstained cheeks before kissed my forehead and lingering there for more than a second before finally separating.
"Thanks—everybody. I was just—so afraid that you all would hate me if I came out and said that I was gay".
"You never need to worry about that kid, like I said it doesn't matter what you end up loving or what you do in the bed, as long as you're happy, then I'm proud to call you my favorite niece" Uncle Chace said.
"Uncle Chace I'm your only favorite niece".
"All the more reasons for me to be protective yah little punk" he leaned his forehead against mine and nuzzled my nose gently with his.
"(Y/n), never think that we'd hate you for something that makes you, you. And just like your dad Sea-bass here, we'll protect you too if anyone of our so called "fans" or the buzzards that is the press start talking trash about you". Uncle Anthony said as he ruffled my hair softly. I turned and looked at every one of my family members and couldn't believe that they all supported me with this. Most of them actors and they supported me being a lesbian.
"Now there's only one person we need to invite to start this party," my dad stated as he held out my phone with (g/n)'s name on the screen.
"Really? You mean it?"
"Of course, I want to meet the famous (g/n) who had stolen my little girl's heart as well as tell her and show her all of your baby pictures".
"Dad!" I whined out as I called her up and told her to come over to a party at my place and told her that my father wanted to meet her.
The party went great as (g/n) met every single one of my family members and of course did fangirl when she met Lizzie and Chris. And my dad of course met with her and he LIKED her, he had approved of my girlfriend and of course he followed up on his promise and showed her all the embarrassing photos of me when I was a baby. I tried to make him stop but (g/n) would hold me down and the two of them as well as everyone else began gushing adorably at my humiliation.
Yeah being the daughter of Sebastian Stan has its perks. Sometimes up, sometimes down and sometimes they go above and beyond from what I'd ever expect. I no longer had to fear of ruining my dad's career because he along with my Marvel aunt and uncles and uncle/god papa Chace protected me and (g/n) if we decided to go out for date night or a picnic and romantic walk through Central Park. I couldn't ask for a better father than Sebastian Stan and he couldn't have asked for a better daughter than me as he says.

“Those Three Words Aren’t Enough”
Tumblr media
Your best friend Chris Evans is going to marry the love of his life this weekend and you’ve never been more excited for something – besides maybe seeing your other best friend Sebastian Stan again after you haven’t see him for months. However, your reunion doesn’t happen as you thought it would be.
Warning: None Sebastian Stan x Reader Part ONE
July in Boston was a blessing of good weather. Unlike Los Angeles, it wasn’t boiling hot, instead it was just right to enjoy a day out—or to have a wedding over the weekend. Your fingers streaked over the font once again. The soft creme-white, simple invitations with the golden writing were so absolutely beautiful that you had to bring it along with you on the plane.
With the excitement for the weekend, the flight from Los Angeles to Boston turned out pleasantly relaxing, although you had flown across the entire country. You had waited so long for this moment to come and now it was so close that you were actually scared of it.
Landed in Boston, you were lucky to get your luggage as one of the first, so you didn’t have to let Scott wait for too long. You had been to this airport a couple of times, knowing exactly where to walk to get to the arrival hall as you scanned through the crowd of waiting people. Maybe he was waiting outside, you thought just in the moment as you noticed the familiar face holding up a piece of paper, which had written on it ’My brother’s dumbest friend’ on it.
You chuckled at the sign, smiling brightly as you made your way through the crowd to Scott who was holding up the paper up. As you reached him, you squealed and hugged him tightly. “I’m glad to see you too, Y/N.“ he laughed at your wild behavior and the wide smile on your face once you parted.
“Excited for the weekend?“ he asked you, helping you with your luggage as the two of you walked out of the airport to his park slot.
“How could I not? It’s gonna be great.“ you sighed happily.
Scott’s brother and your best friend, Chris Evans, was getting married this weekend and it was fair to say that not only you had been waiting for this moment for years by now. You remembered once at work, he had told you that if he was ever going to be married, then he wanted to have his wedding back in his hometown with his entire family and friends. And now you were standing in the middle of Boston, ready to spend the best four days of your life celebrating with your closest friends.
Chris and his soon-to-be wife Katelyn had planned out everything perfectly. They had booked a cute hotel for the guests, close to the location where the wedding would be held. It was right outside from Boston, where everyone could escape the trouble of Paparazzi’s, loud noises and the busy traffic. For an assembly of well known celebrities, it was a relief to be able to be normal and enjoy the weekend to celebrate in the name of Chris and Katelyn.
Besides the fact that your best friend was about to get married, you were happy to see all of your other friends from previous Marvel sets again, but also Chris’s family, whom you had grown close to. Scott dropped you off at the hotel, telling you that he would return in a few hours because he still had to pick up some stuff for the wedding while you could already go and check in for your room and check out the location.
After saying goodbye to him, you walked into the entrance hall of the hotel, where the concierge asked to take your bags for you. Thankful, you handed them over and walked to the reception to get your keys.
“The keys for Stan, please,“ you heard a well known voice say, drawing your attention immediately to it. Your eyes widened as you realized who was standing with their back turned to you.
“Sebastian,“ you suddenly said out loud and indeed, you were right as the dark haired man with a subtle beard turned around to you. His hair was much shorter than the last time you saw him and he seemed to be buffing up again for his role as the beloved Bucky Barnes again. But his eyes were still the same piercing blue that you knew.
A smile appeared on his face as he noticed you, ignoring the Lady at the reception completely. Your heart ached as he came closer to you. It had been so long since the last time you had seen him. Seeing him now, it felt like an entirety had gone since then. “Y/N, you’re already here,“ he said with his smile that could brighten up his whole face.
“Got the earliest flight for today. I didn’t want to miss out on a single thing,“ you explained. “Since when are you here?“
“I arrived two hours ago from New York,“ he replied. “Have you seen Chris yet?“
“No, Scott picked me up at the airport an hour ago and drove me here. Haven’t seen anyone besides him, and now you.“
Besides tight schedules, Sebastian and your lives seemed to try and distant the two of you as best as possible. While you lived in the sunny Los Angeles, he spent his time at the known east coast. It was a struggle to see each other, when you weren’t working together or going to the same event. Birthdays and holidays became something special as they were often the only days you were sure to see the other.
“Sebastian,“ someone called him. The two of you turned in the direction of the voice, causing a warm shiver to suddenly run down your spine by the sight of a beautiful, tall blonde woman. A bright smile lightened up her face and her hips swung gracefully as she walked past to you to Sebastian’s side.
“Have you got our keys yet?“ she asked him, leaving you speechless.
“I was just about to get them, before I ran into Y/N,“ he told her before glancing at you, “Y/N, this is Mia. She’s…“
Only for a second, he seemed to get lost in something, hesitating to finish his sentence before he finally did, “She’s my date.“
She—Mia—looked at you with her angelic eyes and for a moment, you had no idea what you should do next. Everything was wiped blank, which caused the next moment to be painfully awkward. “That’s… great news! It’s nice meeting you, Mia. Like Sen said, I’m…“ you begann to stammer, “I’m Y/N… like Sebastian already mentioned.“
Before you even had the chance to turn as red as tomato, you quickly apologized yourself, “So, let’s get our keys. I will see you guys later.“
Luckily, the reception lady was thinking ahead and had both of your keys ready. Nervously, you grabbed yours and walked away without saying further goodbye, trying to steady your breathing on the way to the elevator. The sound of the arrival of the elevator startled you for a second, but you quickly got in and pressed the button of your floor multiple times in the hope that the doors would close fast enough to stop Sebastian and his date from entering the same one.
As the door closed, you allowed yourself to fall back against the walls of the elevator. Just like Chris, Sebastian counted as one of your best friends—perhaps he was the closest one you had. Ever since the first Captain America movie, the three of you had been extremely close. Usually you always tried to keep up with the others but as Chris was spending his time planning his wedding and future life, Sebastian and you had been away all over the world working on the different projects. It got harder and harder to keep up during times like that.
You had counted down the days to the wedding, knowing that the three of you would finally be reunited and have the chance to spent some time together again. Although you were ready foremost for Chris, you had to admit that you were happy to be able to see Sebastian again. You had missed him and every time you were separated, you were worried that someday your friendship would fade away, but Sebastian and you shared an indescribable bond. From the day of your mutual screen test over to starring successfully in two movies together, he had become the one person you could always count on, no matter what. You loved being around him and sharing memories with him, because he made life seem so easy.
He was the first one you told things, and usually he did the same with you but he certainly hadn’t told you about Mia. Through the years, he had been on dates and about most of them he told you about, especially when he considered that it was getting a little more serious. It often resulted in him asking you what to wear or what flowers to bring. But about Mia, he hadn’t said a single word, which was the reason why it had shocked you that much.
You opened the door and walked into the lovely hotel room, which was kept simple yet comfortable looking. Sighing, you let yourself fall onto the neatly made bed and starred at the ceiling. This weekend was about to be the most wonderful and heartbreaking at the same time, you just knew it.
****** Chris and Katelyn invited everyone for dinner this evening to start off the weekend, before everyone would spilt tomorrow for the Bachelor and Bachelorette parties. After you had changed into a nice dress and some comfy heels, you made your way down to the restaurant of the hotel.
You skimmed through the crowd as you noticed two familiar faces—Anthony Mackie together with his wife Sheletta, who seemed to be involved in a great conversation. However, Anthony excused himself and walked straight over to you.
“Little one, how are ya doing?“ he asked with his well known smile that you adored.
“Good,“ you bluntly lied. “What about Sheletta and you? How are the kids doing?“
“We’re good, all good,“ he said, obviously trying to not make this the topic of the conversation. “So..“
“So..?“ you repeated, raising your brow, still skimming through the rest of the crowd.
“Have you met Sebastian’s date yet?“
You sighed, knowing exactly why Anthony wanted to talk about this. “Yes, earlier today. I ran into them,“ you answered, “and she seems quite lovely, if you’re asking me.“
“Oh c’mon,“ Anthony suddenly groaned, “you’re kidding me right now, aren’t you? Don’t tell me you’re happy about him bringing her with him.“
You shook your head. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, Mackie. She’s his date and I don’t get to judge her. I’ve only talked three sentences with her.“
“Three sentences too much,“
You didn’t feel the need to finish this conversation because you didn’t see it going anywhere but to drama, which Anthony loved. But before you could walk off, Anthony stopped you by grabbing your wirst. “I’m sorry, Y/N, but look, I thought we talked about this. Why do you keep on lying to yourself?“
Freeing your wrist from Anthony without making a scene, you told him, “I’m not lying to myself. I’m happy for him, so don’t worry about me and enjoy the weekend.“
Leaving him behind, you walked into the saloon, looking around to find Scott somewhere. He was your only other good friend here and you were desperate for a friend right now. Anthony’s words had made you furious in so many different ways that you had to calm down first.
“Y/N,“ you heard your name being called out. Spinning around on your heels, you saw Sebastian smirked at you. You had to catch your breath, looking at him in a casual white shirt paired with one of his expensive jackets that you loved so much. Your mouth twitched to an uncertain smile as you walked over to them, again not trying to cause a scene.
“Please, come and sit with us,“ Mia said as you reached their table.
You glanced at the empty chair next to her, gulping unnoticeably, “Sure, why not.“
“Great,“ she gushed. “Sebastian has told me a lot about you.“
Surprised, you looked at her as you sat down before your gaze shifted to Sebastian. “Did he?“ you mumbled.
“Of course! He told me lots of stories about Chris, you and him. You three seem pretty close, aren’t you?“ she asked.
Trying your best to be nice to her and stop looking at your long-time friend, you instead looked at her, “Yeah, I think you could say so.“
You didn’t lie to Anthony. Mia truly seemed to be a lovely girl, very sunny and absolutely gorgeous. Just the kind of woman that Sebastian deserved and you should feel happy for him to be with such a woman but somehow, you just couldn’t. Anthony’s words still floated around your mind during the entire dinner, making it harder to listen to Mia’s stories or answer her questions properly. Throughout, Mia was the more talk-active out of the three of you, while you simply listened here and there and replied to a few questions, while Sebastian talked a few times to the producers sitting across from him.
This surely wasn’t how you had pictured this weekend, which made you even more happy when it was all over. “See you tomorrow?“ Mia asked you, shortly before you intended to leave.
“Um, sure,“ you said, waving her goodbye and leaving the saloon with big steps, just to finally get away from all the facade.
That the day hadn’t turned out as you had hoped it to be wasn’t Chris’s or Katelyn’s fault, it was your own. You knew something was holding you back from having a good time. Now you should rather be downstairs, drinking and dancing until your feet hurt but now all you wanted to do was enjoying a movie and go to sleep early.
But your plans were quickly ruined after you had taken off your make-up and changed into some more comfortable clothes as your phone buzzed.
From: Sebastian
Please tell me 314 is your room.
You frowned. Was he? No, he wasn’t looking for you. Perhaps he was asking for Scott or Chris.
To: Sebastian
Yes, why?
Seconds later, you heard a light knock on the door. Pushing yourself of the bed, you walked over to the door, hesitating to open it up until you got the courage to do it. It revealed Sebastian in the same clothing from the dinner.
“What are you doing here?“ you asked him in confusion.
“We hadn’t had a chance to talk yet, so I excused myself and went looking for you.“ he explained. “Will you let me in?“
“What? Yeah, sure,“ you answered, opening up the door more for him to enter your room. Out of all things, you certainly hadn’t expected him to suddenly appear in front of your door, leaving you with no clue what to do now.
Sebastian sat down on the bed and so did you. “So, Chris is actually getting married.“ he said.
“Yep,“ you smiled. “Kind of crazy, isn’t it? But I’m happy for him, he seems so happy with Katelyn and that’s all I want for him.“
“He is,“ he agreed, getting silent afterwards. Usually, you had always a topic with Sebastian to talk about. No matter what topic you talked about, it mostly turned into hours of conversation. Just because it was that easy to be with one another. Now you had no idea what to ask next. Should you ask him about his current projects? How his mom was doing? You knew that none of those questions were the ones you truly wanted an answer to.
“And what about you?“ you mumbled. “What about Mia? How did you two meet?“
With a deep sign, he let himself fall into the mattress, starring at the ceiling of the room, reminding you how you had laid there this morning. “We met on the set of my last project. She was my make-up artist and it kind of went from there. I don’t really know, to be honest.“
“Do you like her?“
The devil on your shoulder was happy that you had asked that question, knowing that you needed an answer to that. But the angel on the other side was crying because she knew the answer would probably break your heart.
“I do,“ he replied quietly, and you felt your chest swell and your nose beginning to burn as you breathed in. “It was just nice to have someone not trying to go with me because of my job or the money I make.“
“But what about you?“ he quickly changed the topic as his eyes met yours. You leaned onto your side, watching him lay on his back. You never told him how beautiful his eyes were.
“What about me?“ you asked back.
“Are you seeing someone lately?“
You played with your fingers as you shook your head. “No, I don’t.“
Silence took over you two usual talk-active people. Nothing about this weekend was usual. You hated the silence because you had no idea what was going on inside of his head. Making it even more worse, he was laying so close to you. Being close to one another was nothing special, none of you had a problem with that. But now you felt the need to back off, although it seemed wrong to do so.
“That’s okay. Then I don’t have to inspect anyone.“
You chuckled lightly over the sadness inside you. “You don’t have to inspect anyone ever.“
“Sure, I do. I have to.“ he replied so serious that it made you wonder.
“Why?“
“I need to check… to make sure that whoever you are dating is going to treat you the right way, just as you deserve.“
Your heart dropped before it then quickly started to beat in angst. Your gazes fell. Those words shouldn’t have shocked you as much as they did. You knew that he always wanted the best for you, including having a lover that will give you the world. But they only made you wish that he wasn’t in this room right now because the burning in your eyes got worse and the last thing you wanted to do today was crying right in front of him.
“Doesn’t Mia wait for you?“ you said, cursing yourself the minute after why you had to bring her back into the conversation.
He hesitated, simply looking at you, before saying, “You’re probably right. I should get going.“
Sebastian pushed himself up from the bed. You watched every second of his movements closely, wishing that you could just pull him back to you and forget that you had brought Mia back as a topic. You wanted him to lay there and tell you more reasons why he had to check the guys that you dated, but you couldn’t go back .
Instead, you stood up and followed him to the door, which he opened up. He turned so quickly that you couldn’t stop yourself from running into him. Your bodies collied softly together while your eyes widened as he got a hold on you and held you by your arms.
“Will I see you tomorrow?“
