@exitstageleft-pursuedbyabear I just saw your tags and wanted to say that a) you're super valid, and b) I'm honestly mostly joking with my post, I absolutely love it when my players just demolish my encounters especially when they do so in creative ways. I'm all for rewarding good teamwork and out-of-the-box solutions.

For example, my group absolutely butchered a vampire spawn last session before I even could get a good hit in and I was like heck yeah you funky little bastards, I'm so proud of you.

(I do get the frustration of some DMs though. It's hard work to come up with and prepare encounters so it can be annoying if your players avoid or demolish them. You have to accept that though. It's their story, not yours. You're just providing the framework.)

I work at the local hospital. There is no free parking for over 3 km unless you live within the area and have a permit (fun fact: we cant apply for one!). For us, parking is only free from 10:30pm-6:30am. Night shift is from 9:30pm until 7:30am, and your parking does not continue over to the next day. So, if you work night shift (which I do) you have to pay for two days worth of parking. We do not get a discount. We do not get out of a fine for being there without a ticket and the time we can go to get a new ticket is during handover/medication runs so no one leaves the ward. Patients definitely shouldn't pay for hospital parking, but its a little bit fucked up that the employees do too and they've designed it in such a way to fuck up their employees.
