OH ACTUALLYY ive been thinking about that om mythology au again recently because of that one drawing. i think i want to branch out a bit more in terms of lore, to make it less of a "greek mythology" au in particular and more of just. cosmic deity drama yay :)

Gotta say, the absolute best part of the Athenide AUs, especially the twins AU, is seeing how the mythos changes for the better for people like Asclepius, Dionysus and the demigods as a whole. It's just really wholesome and I'm so here for it. @chaoticdumbassrogue in particular inspired me to read the actual myths. It got me thinking about how the scope of change could be expanded to cover the older gods like Hephaestus or Ares, whose bad home lives have already happened.

What if Percy and Annabeth are reborn earlier in the timeline as children of Kronos and Rhea?

Now obviously that's an AU which will get off to a rocky start really quickly, but I think it has potential for some really nice interactions. Like, what if Percy is Zeus' older twin who is raised alongside him, giving Zeus a good influence to aspire to during the formative years of his life. Part of me headcanons that in PJO, his behaviour is a product of being raised by people who he can order about and his only example of how to lead being Kronos himself. Now imagine if he has a cool older sister (or two, if Annabeth/Arsione is also around) who can set better examples for him? Another idea is to tie them closer to Othrys. The idea that Kronos was particularly evil versus the remainder of the Greek pantheon is a somewhat modern idea, the Ancient Greeks viewed him as at least equal to the Olympians if not somewhat better, and the idea of him ruling over a Golden Age were real to them. Hesiod even wrote that Zeus eventually released him from Tartarus and let him rule over Elysium in the Underworld. He is also identified with Saturn thanks to Greco-Roman syncretism, and Saturn is straight up benevolent.

So what if, upon learning his latest child was a goddess of loyalty, he refrains from consuming her in the mistaken belief that she was incapable of betraying him? I'm just imagining Percy as the little Princess of Othrys running around with a young Pallas and Leto and getting into all sorts of mischief before helping her brother Zeus free the remainder of her siblings.

Now imagine what this means for Zeus' children, who now have a cool aunt to give them lots of affection? Hephaestus has somebody who loves him implicitly, Ares has somebody who will actually care when he's trapped in a bronze jar for an entire year, the demigods have somebody who can actually stand up to Hera and so forth.

THE CHANGELING BROTHERS 🗣🗣🗣

Some design notes under cut:

In mythology, changelings are humanoid creatures that have been placed by fae (broad generalized term) in place of a human child, though there are also some stories here and there of adults being taken and replaced by changelings.

Changelings, based on my limited research, only really refer to the creature left behind during some good ol cradle robbing. They are related to the fae, though. Fae, or faeries, cover a broad range of different creatures in all sorts of European mythos, however, from elves to trolls to imps. In more modern art and stories, fae are drawn as tiny little humans with bug-like wings and long, flowing hair. But there have been less flattering depictions throughout history.

Taking the origin of the mythos, and the obvious bug inspiration in the show, I've decided to redesign these two to look like impish little sprites! Changelings in my AU are smaller than the average pony, usually reaching their chin or shoulders. They have thin, flexible bodies that are protected by an exoskeleton! Their jaws are an odd mix of mammalian and insect, so they can expand and protrude their lower jaws while their upper jaw stays fixed to their skull. Their tongues are thin, based on nectar-drinking bugs and animals like butterflies and hummingbirds.

Most changelings have two wings, only Pharynx and Thorax have four wings (reformed form only.)

Pharynx is also a bit taller than the average changeling drone... Have fun imagining how tall Thorax is. Height chart coming eventually.

Their tails are loosely based on a scorpion's stinger, but I took more inspiration from cartoony imp/devil tails in art and cartoons! 😇

aight so for context a few months ago while deep in the trenches of my greek mythology obsession i made a minor underworld diety oc who goes by kore or jazzy. shes my favourite muffin and i love her.

and after reading one too many apollo fics here lmao i really wanted to explore his domains (which i find endlessly fascinating bc its all my favourite things in one: medicine art literature) and learn more about him as a god via a character study of sorts.

(ive yet to write anything for them lol but when i do it will be great :P)

apollo has heterochromia :3 dunno if u can see it but his eyes are olive green (right) and a teal (left). representing the suns reach over land and sea. ALSO FRECKLES >:D

my girl jazzy has the most boring brown eyes ever. no pools of honey or flecks of gold. just good ol dirt brown. *foreshadowing*

short curly hair somewhere between brown and black for her, and floofy kraft singles waves for him XD

jazzy is a knitwear gremlin (like urs truly lol), 24/7 turtlenecks cardigans jumpers scarfs all of it. her hands (and extremeties) are always cold bc bad circulation and probably dehydration. shush

palettes are warm and earthy for jazzy (wow im so subtle) and cool celestial for apollo (and artemis hehe)

so thats mostly greens esp olive, brown and beige and a healthy sprinkle of rose. le aesthetic is forest/ gremlincore for my girl

and lots of blues esp navy and shiny silver and gold for chaotic academia sunshine boi (TIL astroacademia is a thing and like wow)

apollo has 2 degrees bc its cool af to me (my dad has two masters and its been on my bucket list since. i dont know why i am the way that i am either) one in nursing and another in english literature (and a masters in translation bc i can)

he teaches english and history tho and the art afterschool clubs. yes clubs plural. i am insane and so is he.

jazzy is a biomed graduate and is currently pursuing a masters in forensic toxicology (sucks that i hade organic chem this would be fun to write) so she teaches bio. probably part time idk.

Hullo!!! Thank you for asking!! (o^▽^o)

I actually had an intro post typed out to explain all that when I made this blog, but I was confused & stupid and accidentally deleted it. TWICE lmfho. 。゜゜(´Ｏ`) ゜゜。 But I'll go ahead and give a rundown here!

For starters, it's going to be more focused on retelling the originally established story in LO itself rather than attempt to accurately portray the myths, and I have a few reasons for taking this path with it:

Several other LO rewriters (Who I have no intention whatsoever of trying to "outdo" or "compete" with, we're all just having fun with this crapshow of a comic lol) are already going this direction with their own AUs.

I have no problem with LO being myth-inaccurate fundamentally, what I have problems with is the fact that RS falsely proclaimed herself a "folklorist" and acts like she reshaped the Greek myth community through LO, which is obv just wrong. I'm not a folklorist, and I'm not trying to "subvert" Greek mythos with my rewrite.

I feel, more often than not, only the best of writers have the skill to reimagine the myths in a way that is both entertaining & original AND respectful to the og myths/authors/cultures. I'm obv nowhere near this level as a writer yet (I'm a noob on Tumblr, for Pete's sake lol), and my intention isn't sm to reimagine the myths as it is to reimagine LO itself.

To expand on that last point, I'll be using (but refining) a lot of the plotlines & characterizations originally established in the pilot eps & S1. For example, Persephone will be soft-natured & demure but assertive & independent, and her arc will be about her discovering herself within & beyond her role both as the goddess of spring AND as the queen of the underworld. As for Hades, there are A LOT of changes I'll be making to his character, and a MAJOR arc that wasn't even hinted at in LO that I'm very much looking forward to writing huehue. (・`ω´・)

I'll also still be taking the romance route, since I actually really like the initial idea and still think it had a lot of potential. HOWEVER, it will most def NOT be a thinly veiled DDLG/Humbert-Lolita/age-gap fetishizing "dark romance" where the characters involved are empty shells both in & outside of their relationship, and will never be used to villainize Demeter. (×﹏×) They'll be their own people, and their affection for each other will be a slow-burning, genuine love that develops through time & trial. But not in such a way that every moment they spend together is filled with contrived romantic/sexual tension lol, they'll just get to know, care for, & love each other at their own pace, in respective stages.

The comic itself won't be almost 300 eps long lol, just long enough to tell the overlapping story of Hades & esp Persephone, both as individuals and as a couple. That being said, I actually have a short spin-off comic planned focusing on Zeus & Hera's story bc I was just as, if not more so, dissatisfied with the way their arc panned out as the main plotline. Oddly enough, I actually have more of a firm idea/concept for the spin-off than the main comic so far (Maybe bc it's shorter? Lol) and it's... emotional af. ( ; ω ; )

As for the art, I'm still in the process of developing my own style, but it leans rather into the anime/manga side lol. Additionally, RS's early LO art mesmerizes me to this day, and I'll be attempting to fuse my budding artstyle with her pre/early/pilot LO art. Using the same brushes, textures, effects, & techniques as RS will be a challenge (Esp since I don't use Photoshop lol), but I'm highly anticipating growing as an artist through expanding my style and studying & mimicking her gorgeous art of the past out of respect & admiration. ( ´ ꒳ ` )

All in all, I'm still in the VERY early stages of conceptualizing this project (Literally, all I've got atm are concepts lmho), and it'll actually be the first time I'm putting anything like this together. (⊙_⊙') This comic & everything that comes from it will essentially be my launching pad into the art scene, an experimental endeavor to ready myself for a possibly professional career in the arts. It may be a bit odd to do, but I've discussed it with others and they agree it'll be a suitable stepping stone that I can fully enjoy creating & committing to. I'm very passionate about bringing this project into fruition, and I sincerely hope anyone who's interested in it will be pleased with what I humbly have to offer and find the closure with LO that I myself am striving for. ( ´ ▿ ` )

I apologize for the long yet vague response (I'm uselessly good at vague tangents lmho), and there are plenty of other things to say concerning my plans for this AU in store. All this seriously is, is that when I was in middle school manga/animated/whatever bits in openings or otherwise of people falling through the sky but cool were what I thought were about the best thing ever. Middle school me sucked at art. So this is to satisfy my primal urge to draw people falling through the sky

17. ...the world-building aspect of the story I have the greatest admiration for.

I have a lot of gripes about those shows (like... so many) but there's also a REASON I've been kinda obsessed with it for years now.

From the world-building perspective I guess I love the ever expanding mythology of the supernatural world. The way they started out the show with the basics of vampires and witches and werewolves. And then expanded into this whole mythos of the Originals and how vampires were a creation of witches; and how a werewolf bite was poison to vampires; the hybrids; the heretics; the tribrid; the humanity switch. etc.

Some of it occasionally became too much but it made for an extremely compelling world. And I have to give my kudos to that.

6. ...what kind of AU fics I'm obsessed with reading about them (or would be if I could find one).

Every single American Gothic Canon Divergence AU fic I can get my hands on (...which is why I've written so many myself).

...which barely counts as AU I guess.

Fine. If I go full AU I guess I'd say they're pretty much the perfect ship for a Hades & Persephone AU (but a version where Elena makes a deal with Elijah to escape into the underworld because she's being pursued by a minor god who isn't taking no for an answer *cough* we all know who *cough*, and in short order Elijah's completely gone on her, and when the time comes Elena bites into that pomegranate viciously in full victory and with her teeth bared against the one who's trying to drag her back).

8. ...if I'm most interested in fics about them that focus on fluff, angst, humor, smut or actual plot?

ALLLLLLL OF IT, ALL AT ONCE. No, but really, my absolute favorite Elejah fics are the ones that combine the sweet scenes where Elena and Elijah are soft around each other, with pain and pining, and a few chuckles to break the tension and enough plot to give everything else some meat (won't say no to some smut either).

But I'm also just... obsessed with one shots in all colors of the rainbow too.

I'm not picky. It's got Elejah? I'm in.

Well. To start at the end, I would definitely not have Elijah decide to die with Klaus as if Rebekah, Kol, Freya, and Hope were chopped liver.

Cuz that is stupid and I hate it.

And the shipper in me wants to add a happy ending with Elena (because I too am embarrassingly predictable).

7. ...the scene that I think adds depth to their character or the relationship this character has with someone.

(I'm gonna answer this one through a ship lense cuz I can't and you can't stop me)

It's fascinating to me the way Elijah keeps bringing Elena on these romantic walks as he tells her his life story. Even while he thinks she's betrayed him because he knows she lied.

It doesn't matter what's going on Elijah seems to be compelled (unfortunate choice of words in this particular universe but there's no better word for it) for Elena to know him.

inspired and emboldened by @lesbianfakir's recent beautifully self-indulgent (and coincidentally me-indulgent) princess tutu x steven universe posting, i am forcing you to witness my princess tutu homestuck/sburb au that has been cooking in my brain since i first watched the series recently

this started with me trying to classpect the main characters, because princess tutu is the absolutely perfect sort of navel-gazey story-about-stories for this particular mode of character analysis, and the parallels just spiralled out from there

putting this under a cut bc uh. loooong fucking post warning lmao

this will require some outstanding homestuck and classpecting knowledge to parse (and maybe one day i'll share my work-in-progress Googledoc about my personal classpect opinions idk) but starting with the easiest imo:

Mytho/Siegfried: Prince of Heart

a literal prince, you say? one who literally destroys his literal heart into several distinctly-categorised shards? like at first thinking of it it seems like way too obvious and shallow but it WORKS is the thing. despite the basically blank version of him we see throughout most of at least the first half of the show, mytho's whole deal is feelings and identity, the lack and the regaining thereof, and that is pure Heart. add onto that his literal self-destruction, the way he vascillates between genuine selflessness and intense self-absorption, and the fact that his arc is about him reconciling the different facets and versions of himself, finding a less self-destructive way to fulfill his role, and working with others rather than elevating and separating himself from them in order to share the burden? that's pure Prince! and ok like, mytho is not dirk, but a) he doesn't have to be for them to share a classpect since they're so broad and nebulous and b) look in your heart and tell me you don't see the shared dna. honestly would not surprise me if hussie had taken inspiration from princess tutu (and perhaps to a greater extent revolutionary girl utena, the parallels there being worth a post in themselves) in how they characterise Princes in homestuck bc it's such a specific set of traits and associations compared to your textbook fairytale prince. idk

this one doesn't make as much intuitive sense at first but hear me out bc rue is just the first of many characters in this show where the concept of aspect or class roleplay is super super relevant. basically, what is rue's core struggle in princess tutu? i would argue it's the struggle for relevance and truth, in a story that tries to sideline her. she actually starts the story firmly positioned in the spotlight - she's the star of the advanced class, everyone loves and admires her, and she's dating mytho, gold crown academy's most eligible bachelor. as the story gets going, though, she quickly loses her evidently precarious place at mytho's side, leading to her increasing narrative marginalisation, which she fights at every turn. while she mostly does this in her princess kraehe persona, as i will expand on later i think this is her performing aspect roleplay of the raven, who she eventually learns she has no real relation to. if her struggle for narrative relevance and real truth is why i assign her the light aspect, her maid class comes from the shape of her struggle: as well as struggling against narrative marginalisation and the falsehoods of the story, she spends most of the story under the raven's control, from which she must break free in order to reclaim her agency. that, to me, is the core maid experience (think jane and her being controlled by the condesce, or aradia overcoming literal death as well as equius' robot's coding) and when she does have the spotlight and the knowledge that light embodies at its best, she is seen using it for duck's benefit, teaching her even as she sees her as a bit of a nuisance.

next, we have the one i worked out before rue but am putting here for the sake of flow:

Fakir: Heir of Space

i don't end up assigning space or time very much as despite the amount of attention they get in homestuck's narrative, they mostly rely on their characters' actual supernatural powers and some of their aesthetic associations, rather than the more personal traits of other aspects. for me, though, one of the main hallmarks of space as an aspect is creation and creativity, and that's where fakir's power comes in. if we consider the power that he inherited from drosselmeyer (who we will get to later) as the ability to create worlds and manipulate reality, and specifically as being a manifestation of creative writing, i think space works really well for the role fakir plays in the story. i also think that his arc works much more along class lines than any particular aspect lines, so it doesn't matter that space doesn't do much heavy lifting characterisation-wise: he spends the first half of the story doing heavy knight roleplay (we'll get to the knight himself in a bit), and it's tempting to assign him that class based on the protectiveness he displays and the two sides we see of him early on, but crucially neither of those is a mask or persona, they're both honestly him, just when faced with perceived threats vs not. he actually has to let this roleplay go in order to grow, to step out of people's expectations for him and the role the story intends for him and to find his own path, to come into his own as an individual by mastering the power he's inherited. extremely heir-coded, if you ask me.

finally (for the main four at least) we have the one who continues to give me the most trouble and who i'm the least sure about:

Duck: Sylph of Time

why are you so hard to classpect duck. help me out here. honestly i think a lot of it comes down to duck spending so much time trying to be tutu rather than herself - roleplay again - and the fact that she focuses so much more on other people than on herself, as much as she does fret about her fate. in the end, these factors in themselves did help me settle on this classpect, though an equally large part was narrative convenience - for the au as a whole to work, the team need to have a successful session, and for that, they need a time player. still, i think duck can be said to fit this aspect well enough. time is even harder to assign than space imo, but the main crux of it is the management of timelines, and if there's a major set of associations then i'd say it's death/destruction/endings. my reasoning then is this: duck has a role in starting the story and controlling its pace, she perceives drosselmeyer's stopping and starting of time (she may not be the only one, i can't quite remember, but let's go with it), and she spends a lot of time contending with various possibilities for her own 'death' (turning into light if she confesses her love to mytho, turning back into a duck forever if she gives up the pendant, etc). so that's her aspect, and honestly her class gives me no less trouble. i have a bit of a kneejerk instinct to avoid assigning the sylph class bc so many female characters are written as just "the girl who helps everyone all the time" for misogyny reasons and i don't wanna fall into that trap, but i think a good part of what characterises sylphs in homestuck itself is how their attempts to help can do as much harm as good, both for the people they're trying to help and for themselves (aranea and kanaya especially are also just very well-rounded characters so the class doesn't feel reductive). as i've mentioned, duck spends a lot of time in her tutu roleplay (specifics discussed below) and that's the role drosselmeyer intends for her, but when she's being herself, duck just wants to help mytho, rue and fakir, and she actually mainly helps and heals them BY kickstarting and speeding up the story's timeline, she's just also a chronic failgirl so she fucks it up a fair bit along the way. i'd say her arc involves her realising that there's a limit to how much she can help, learning to accept she's done enough and to step back and let people help themselves before she completely burns herself out (which arguably she actually kinda does). so yeah that's that. did that need that many words? for how long i spent thinking about it, yes. suffer with me.

NOW. with all that roleplay going on, who is actually being roleplayed and how? before i get into that, a quick rundown of the admittedly sketchy framing for how i think this au would work:

drosselmeyer as a Lord of Space and LE-type figure in control of two stories, The Prince and The Raven, and Princess Tutu

think of TPaTR as the alpha session, with the four players being siegfried, the raven, the knight and princess tutu - drosselmeyer's death (idk. shenanigans) makes it inherently unviable, a void session with no chance for success, so siegfried destroys his heart and traps the raven (who was maybe trying to overcome this by killing mytho and launching a solo session, since the other two are already dead?) and this functions as a sort of semi-Scratch, soft relaunching the story with a (mostly) new set of players, as well as being the point where he goes god tier, though he forgets this along with the rest of his memories

PT is the beta session that results, outside of drosselmeyer's direct control though he still tries to manipulate it into a null session for tragedy value. this story stars mytho, rue, fakir and duck, with mytho supposedly being siegfried's dancestor (but secretly the same guy, he lost his memories when he broke his heart so he and duck don't know but fakir and rue work it out before the session properly starts), rue supposedly being the raven's dancestor (but actually being tutu's - saw the transcendent post by @unfilteredflare about rue/duck being odette/odile and rue being tutu's real reincarnation and it has been living in my head ever since), fakir actually being the knight's dancestor (somehow also related to drosselmeyer but idk how that works lmao) and duck supposedly being tutu's dancestor (but actually just being a wildcard entered into the story by drosselmeyer in the limited control he now has over this new session) - to summarise, one player left over from the alpha session, two dancestors of former players, and one new player.

ok that's the broad strokes and that's also a lot of supposedlys so let's now go through the roleplay business. my ideas for the alpha players' classpects are much less thought-through since we know so little about them but these are my ideas as they currently exist and how they impact the beta players:

i see the raven as probably being a void player, given his associations with darkness, the obfuscation of the truth that he uses to manipulate rue and the emotional emptiness that causes in her, as well as the way he operates in secret and behind the scenes (he survived the not-quite-a-Scratch like mytho did by virtue of being trapped, so no dancestor). i think this subtle manipulation of events, working from a position of supposed narrative irrelevance to influence the story in increasingly big ways, could also position him with the class of bard, though this is maybe less important in the roleplay discussion. when rue, whom the raven takes under his wing early on by convincing her that they're dancestors, takes on the persona of kraehe, she shrouds herself in darkness and lies, draws on that emptiness inside her to fuel her, even though those forces are actually completely antithetical to her own aspect and are really just holding her back. she also tries to manipulate events in the same way that the raven does, but without success. it's just not her way of doing things. only by breaking out of that roleplay and embracing her real self (in this case also meaning realising that she's tutu's dancestor and therefore destined to be with mytho after all) does she reclaim the spotlight that has been denied to her since the story was set in motion - and side note, being consumed by the raven and then breaking free is how i think she would go god tier (maybe the raven hid himself around her quest bed in order to hide it? in which case smart move hiding her there in the climax chump!).

the knight is, no surprises here, a knight. taking on that persona, putting on the helmet so no trace of the real man remains, and doing his duty of protecting the prince until he literally gives his life for it. that really is all we know about him though, so let's just assign him the doom aspect based on surface level aesthetics and associations and move on. as i touched on in fakir's classpect analysis, fakir lives the knight role for the first half of the story because he knows he's the knight's dancestor and therefore thinks he has to be the same. the turning point is his dramatic sacrifice at the end of season one, and i think this is where he goes god tier (imagine edel, a doc scratch-like construct of drosselmeyer's, saving fakir from the lake and taking him to his quest bed to revive him and burning herself up to keep him alive long enough to make it there), and learning he was never a knight at all sets him on that path to discovering his real abilities (though as in canon he'd have trouble letting the knight role go).

and then there's duck, led by drosselmeyer to believe she's princess tutu's dancestor (until the reveal with rue, whenever and however that happens). as is mentioned in the show itself, tutu appears extremely briefly in TPaTR, confessing her love to siegfried before turning into a speck of light (and i guess dying? logistics of that tbd). she does however serve as an object of fascination and obsession for siegfried, motivating his actions in both versions of the story. given this extremely minor and passive yet equally important role, i think we could assign her the class of muse, which works with her almost mythical status and the way that drosselmeyer, a lord, uses her legacy as a tool before it ends up working against him. as for her aspect, we know nothing about her as a person, but i think hope could work since that's what she (or at least her image) inspires in people, and it's belief in her that motivates mytho and propells the story along, and duck's belief that she is tutu that makes any of this possible. when duck goes tutu mode, this is what she's channeling, and with some assistance from drosselmeyer manipulating reality a bit, she channels it very well! but it's not her and it can't work forever, especially with rue there to actually fill the role once she breaks free of the raven's control, so at the end of the story it's the real duck motivating everyone thanks to the ways she's helped them, and it's fakir manipulating the story to help her because he sees her as her, not as tutu. and this is when she also finally goes god tier! i guess she literally dances to death before fakir comes and gets her and takes her to her quest bed lmao

aaaand finally once the raven is defeated the gang are able to come together thanks to duck's efforts and win their session, with fakir being responsible for creating the new universe where mytho/siegfried and rue go to live their fairytale while fakir and duck stay behind to keep watch and live out their peaceful lives. and drosselmeyer fucks off somewhere else. the end!

Hi guys, lots going on right now that I don’t even wanna talk about, just on a hiatus from school so maybe I’ll be posting more;, This is my interpretation of Norse Loki, for a silly little AU I made of the Last Unicorn that involves northern mythology.

I love Loki, always have, as a genderfluid/genderqueer person I just adore them and also… as a fellow misunderstood nuisance I adore them even more 💚 I’m also working on more of the other gods and characters from the mythos and rn have designs for Tyr, Freya, and Baldur so yahoo! Working on this is so fun, I’ve literally gotten lost in online videos and research, bought two books about Norse mythology from HPB, and am reading books in my cute little local library now too where I’m spending a lot of time! ໒( ◔ ▽ ◔ )७

Summer 22, Year 3

It took two days before Beep could leave his nest. Magnus had told Beep and Chicken to meet him at his tower when Beep was ready. Before they left Beep to rest, Magnus got a crash course on what Beep had been researching and why Beep was trying to perform such a complicated spell. There were no hard feelings between anyone present; Marlon knew Beep needed to return to his flock and Magnus understood the danger Beep felt at being discovered as something not from this world.

When Beep was finally able to make it to the Nexus warp on the farm, and from there to the Wizard's warp, Magnus greeted him with some good news. He had been experimenting with a portal to view other worlds, to see what else existed out there. While he showed Beep and Chicken the portal he had made, one offering a view into a world similar but very different, Magnus explained he could help Beep strengthen and fine tune the spell. From what Beep had explained; the portal only needed to form a connection to Beep's home realm. His mates could open a transversal portal from their side. It would be infinitely easier for them. (And despite Magnus's questions, Beep wouldn't elaborate why.)

This was already too much at risk with Marlon, Magnus, Krobus, and Chicken knowing Beep was from another realm. If they ever found out who his mates were… Did this world even have a comparable mythos to explain who and what his mates were? They thought the world was a seed grown from a plant. Honestly better than some of the religions Beep had heard about. At least it respected nature.

The effort to walk here had exhausted Beep, and he had needed help keeping his wings from dragging. Combined with his bloodshot eyes, Beep still needed time to recover. Casting a spell beyond his ability had fucked him up more than he had realised. Magnus promised to keep looking into ways to help Beep with contacting his mates, but it would still take time, and a few more ingredients. Beep would keep the spell safe in the lair, and Marlon and Magnus both understood that place was not to be entered again. Not without extreme reason, or without Beep. Beep had reached the end of what he could do on his own. Just as he helped others, perhaps now it was time to let others help him?

Things different from canon; (AU???) Gramps never had an heir, or they never show/ed up. Stardew Valley Expanded; new maps, new NPCs, new events, a LOT of new stuff. The new “Farmer” is just a Weird Ass Deer. NPCs will respond/react accordingly.
