Review: Bandai F-エフ Gunma Akagi and Kazuto Hiziri's F-3

Introduction:

Bandai Co., Ltd. is a Japanese multinational toy manufacturer and distributor headquartered in Taitō, Tokyo. Its international branches, Bandai Namco Toys & Collectables America and Bandai UK, are respectively headquartered in Irvine, California, and Richmond, London. Since 2005, Bandai is the toy production division of Bandai Namco Holdings, currently the world's second largest toy company measured by total revenue. In this review, it's not about Bandai's action figure but, their discontinued products which is an F-1 miniature 1:24 scale model. At the time Tamiya is booming, Bandai also tried to produce their own Mini 4WD, which they released several series of their own Mini 4WD, including this. It seems like back in 1988, the manga/anime of F-エフ became popular which piqued Bandai's interest to produce their own F1 cars in Mini 4WD style eventhough, they're actually F3 cars. However they only released 2 line and 2 series, 1st they created the car based on the F-エフ in 1/32 which the same scale to regular Tamiya Mini 4WD but, instead of using motor battery powered they made pull back feature. There were 2 model cars released which is Gunma Akagi and Hiziri Kazuto, then Bandai also made their own Mini 4WD style in 1/24 scale. Of course, the same 2 F3 cars featuring Gunma Akagi and Hiziri Kazuto, they are characters from F-エフ manga written and illustrated by Noboru Rokuda. It was serialized in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Big Comic Spirits from 1986 to 1992, with its chapters collected in 28 tankōbon volumes. The story follows Gunma Akagi, a country boy who fulfills his dream by racing in a Formula One car. The series has been followed by FRegeneration Ruri (2002–2006), F Final (2009–2011), and Final Complete (since 2020). It also adapted into anime series aired in 1988 for 31 episodes in total, however the anime only follows the rivalry of Gunma & Kazuto. In this conversions, the models were based on their manga counterparts, which Kazuto got blue colored car instead of black with red in the anime. The product numbers started from 1/32 versions which Gunma as number 1 while Kazuto as number 2, whereas 1/24 versions continuously Gunma being number 3 while Kazuto as number 4.

Like every Model kits, the kit came up to be preassembled which we have to assemble them first.

Gunma Akagi F3:

In overall, Gunma's car is white colored with some very few livery, which made the car almost looked no different with/without stickers/decals. I gotta say, the bodyshell especially it's sidepods looks pretty thick and also precisely made. Due to some little red colored sponsors, they kinda gives a bit of McLaren F1 vibes. Judging by the airbox thing, the car is a fictional stylized of F3 cars made in 1987-1988. In the box representations, the car was used by Gunma for racing with Kazuto but, after reading the manga this is not the actual car Gunma used for racing with Kazuto, not sure why but, probably following how the anime was made despite they straightly using Noboru's manga artworks for the box art. However, this is still Gunma's car but, he used this car in later chapters post Kazuto race. The original car of Gunma during Kazuto arc has more resemblance to Kazuto's car and it has very different livery. Both 1/32 and 1/24 are the same model but, there're several differences such as in the 1/24 version, the driver's body is clearly visible even in the side view due to it's sitting quite higher while 1/32's driver is sitting deeper. Another funny thing that the 1/32 got "Toyota" sponsor decal on the airbox while the 1/24 didn't. As for the wheel sets, both of them are almost identical but, 1/32 uses rubber plastic tires while 1/24 uses sponge tires. I gotta say, I prefered the 1/32 alot better since they looked more accurate.

Kazuto Hiziri F3:

Kazuto got a blue colored F3 car, it's sidepods are made to be thin and asymmetrical compared to Gunma's car, once again it has very few livery which the car almost looked no different with/without stickers/decals. In both manga and anime this car was supposed to run faster than Gunma's car since the machine was handled by Tamotsu (Gunma's best friend) but, due to Kazuto's falling to his illness and dying, he didn't make it to finish the race. However, since Gunma's car was based from his post Kazuto arc so, both car's machines were handled by Tamotsu. I'm gonna be frank on this one; while the design may looking slim and good but, that rear wing thing looks unsafe for run, given the rear part appeared too exposed and that pole looking breakable. Here, I'm referring to the 1/24 one and I actually changed the sponge tires with my spare since I accidentally broke one of the original tire when I put them into the velg, probably due to old age. I'm glad the spare fits well, although it's a little different type. I gotta admit, I still love this since it's my favorite color. There're several minor differences between 1/32 and the 1/24; the rear wing in the 1/32 is a little wider compared to the 1/24 one, and the rear wing's pole in 1/32 is much thicker than the 1/24 one. Interestingly, the 1/32 got exhaust mold while 1/24 don't. The wheel sets also got different type of velgs but, Bandai didn't even bother to give a unique velgs for 1/24 version to equalize both versions. The rests I think it's pretty much identical except some minor paint details but, overall decals looking similar for both versions. Once again, from looks I prefered the 1/32 better.

1/24 Chassis:

The chassis surprisingly works the same way like Mini 4WD since they got their own Mini 4WD propeller shaft but, that thin lower bumpers below the bodyshell made them not recommended for run yet, even the rear wing's pole connection seems to be frail enough. Mainly on the Kazuto one. The motor they included is labelled as Hyper Engine, assuming it's like a ripoff of Tamiya's Hyper Dash but, it was Bandai's standard motor for their own Mini 4WD. Their size is surprisingly longer and bigger than Tamiya's Mini F1 but, I don't like how they made the wheelsets being too thin for their size. I gotta admit it has no appeal to how an F3 wheels should looks. Unlike most of Mini 4WD conversions, the rollers are using pin-shaped plastic parts instead of using metal screws which I'm already feeling skeptical if I ever want to make them run. Batteries are inserted underneath the chassis so, there's no need to remove their bodyshells. Because the bodyshell was designed to be attached firmly to the chassis for monocoque structure. However, if the instalation is not done properly this may lead to a trap, it ends up being a three-point installation. Their overall mechanism was quite different compared to any Mini 4WD companies.

1/32 Pull Back Feature:

These versions works just fine but, I don't like on how they made the whole plastics being all same color to their respective body color including the chassis and their velgs so, my friend had to paint the whole chassis and wheels to make them right. While their size are very much the same like most of Mini 4WDs, I really wished they're the one who would be given with Mini 4WD feature instead of the 1/24 one.

Thoughts:

I never expected Bandai would be making F3 cars instead of F1, gotta admit their designs are unique but, I heard from a Japanese reviewer that these products were known to be criticized harshly but, I don't know the details although, I can tell why judging by the looks of the kit. Despite this I still appreciated Bandai for recreating an actual manga character into their own Mini 4WD counterpart. It's so rare to see F3 representations since most of companies were too focused on producing F1 at the time. So, I'm happy to have this as my collections.

Japanese-developed games, especially JRPGs, still hold a special place in my heart. Not because of the stories, which are almost always campy and poorly written, or because of the characters, who mostly end up as caricatures of anime archetypes, but because they are games that I grew up with. Much like Miyazaki or Pixar films, many Japanese RPGs retain an innocence and single-mindedness that I find irresistible due to their simplicity.

One of the series in which I often find myself indulging in is the Tales series. Despite basically being the JRPG version of Call of Duty – at least one entry every year with only minute changes in battle system and story – there is no franchise I find more guilty pleasure in playing than Tales. Namco Bandai has moved onto potentially greener pastures with games such as Enslaved: Journey to the West, but mere days before this writing, they saw fit to announce a stateside release of Tales of Graces f. This decision couldn’t be better, as Tales of Graces f is one of the best games the series has turned out.

Tales of Graces f is by no means a perfect game – if anything, it carries many flaws inherent to Japanese development. However, the fun that can be gleaned from this game far outweighs any problems the game itself has. The term ‘flawed gem’ perfectly describes Tales of Graces f; but the fact that the story, characters, and setting are all by-the-book JRPG cliches should not keep RPG enthusiasts from playing the game. In the end, Tales of Graces f is an incredible example of how an entertaining and enjoyable experience can trump hackneyed storytelling and lack of production values any day of the week.

ゲームを遊ばせるための音楽

あまり重い記事ばかりでも胃もたれがするので、軽い話だが。

「ゲーム音楽」という言い方は個人的にはあまりしっくり来ていなくて、自分としては、やはり、ゲーム・ミュージックなのであった。

それはともかく、下の動画をめぐる議論が多少あった印象だが、沈静化したようだ。

まあ、個人的に思い出したのは、サンダーセプターの動画を以前の記事に貼ったが、同じ年に、カルテット（セガ 1986）というゲームが出たことだ（4人同時プレイは、ガントレット（アタリ 1985）からの流れを引き継いだものだと思う）。

とりあえず、1面のBGMの最初の方だけでもいいので聴いていただきたいのだが、「どうだ！見たか！（聴いたか！か）」みたいなBGM担当者の叫び声が聞こえてきそうな曲である（実際、音楽を聴きたくてコインを入れていた人もいた、みたいな文章も見た）

同年のサンダーセプターや前年に出たスペースハリアー（セガ 1985）は大型筐体だったので、大きなキャラクターをたくさんスムーズに表示できるくらいハードウェアがリッチだったが、カルテットはシステム基板で技術的にこなれていないこともあってか、なかなか��面的には厳しい。ただ、同年にファンタジーゾーン（セガ 1986）が出ており、こちらは、「セガの最高傑作のひとつではないか」と思うくらい様々なファクターがキッチリ一体感を持って表現されている。この辺の歪さというのがセガの魅力だろうな、と言ったら、頷くのが往年のセガファンだろうし、今はそういう時代は過ぎ去ったのも確かだ。

ただ、個人的にはカルテットのギャップはなんとなく惹かれるものがあった。 で、「BGMと画面のギャップ」という点における二大巨頭のもう一方の雄がF/A（ナムコ 1992）だと思う。

見た目は地味目なシューティングゲームだが、BGMはジュリアナトーキョーである。 この流れがリッジレーサーシリーズにも引き継がれていっていると思う。

リッジレーサーシリーズの歴史的分岐点はどこか？と言ったら、色々な人がいろいろなことを言うだろうが、個人的に面白かったのは、リッジレーサー6→リッジレーサー7の流れだ。

まず、XBOX360用ソフトとして、リッジレーサー6が発売されて、その後、PS3用ソフトとして、リッジレーサー7が発売されたのだが、XBOX360とPS3は同世代のコンシューマゲーム機であり、性能的にはそこまで変わらない（と言うと怒られるかもしれないが）。 では、何が最大の違いか？と言ったら、BGMの方向性がガラリと変わっているのである。

自分としては、リッジレーサー6は従来通りのノリだったが、リッジレーサー7はBGMらしいBGMになってしまった印象を受けた。 その辺にどういった事情があったのかはよくわからないが、「向上した画面のリアリティに合わせて、音楽を一歩引かせる方向性での方向転換があった」のは確かだと思う。

リッジレーサー6にあった下のようなふざけた曲はリッジレーサー7では鳴りを潜めてしまった。

それが製作者の判断なのであり、必然的な流れなのだろうし、「向上した画面のリアリティに合わせて、ゲーム・ミュージックは環境音楽的になるべきだ」という主張は一定の説得力はあると思う。

ただ、やはり、テーゼにはアンチテーゼが存在す��、と言わざるを得ない。

何が言いたいのかというと、「音楽駆動型でゲームを作る」という発想である。 音ゲーはもちろんそうだし、同人ゲームでは、「音楽を聴いてもらいやすい手段としてゲーム作った」とも言われている東方projectもある。

個人的には、ナムコのBGMはテクノポップの印象が強いが、そのDNAは現役でちゃんと引き継がれている、というのは、昨年のエイプリルフールで知った、太鼓の達人の最難関楽曲との一つとも言われている「彁（この漢字には読み方がないらしい）」という曲を聴いて思ったことだ。

ちなみに、このゲーム音楽プロデューサーの東方projectの曲の反応も動画としてあり、（見た目は女の子の）ボスの曲なのだが、作者のZUNが曲で表現したボスのパーソナリティまで読み解いてしまう。確かに、音楽で表現した方もすごいが、読み解ける方もすごい。

色々な考え方があってもいいのかもしれない。 個人的には、大作ゲームのBGMが環境音楽的になるのは必然だろうが、ふざけた音楽としてのゲーム・ミュージックや子供にも親しみやすい音楽としてのゲーム・ミュージックというのも、軽量型ゲームでは活きるのではないか、とは思った（現状だと、音ゲーくらいしか解がないのかもしれないが。とは言え、何かその辺で新しい発明があると面白いかもしれない。単純に音楽を聴かせたいだけなら、YouTubeでMVを公開した方が早いわけだし）。

相对于Original系列针对30岁以上的上班族，Spirits系列针对的学生群体，Superior系列针对的目标群体是20多岁的青年人。

这是『BIG COMIC SPIRITS』（本刊）的增刊，该增刊与本刊的作品双向流通。它是週刊ヤングサンデー』（周刊Young Sunday）休刊后的后继杂志。『月刊IKKI』停刊后，也有两部作品转移过来。

从该杂志转移到本刊刊登的一次性作品很多，此外转移到『やわらかスピリッツ』（网络漫画网站）的情况也很多。

初期与同社内的『ビッグコミックスピリッツ』是长期竞争关系，90年代开始陆续连载了很多带有强烈色情和图像暴力元素以及对犯罪高度敏感的作品（对于小学馆而言）。

2000年奥山任編集長的时代，这些作品都被移除了。杂志试图转移到类似『周刊少年Sunday』体育&恋爱戏剧的风格，但是除了『孤岛诊疗所（Dr.コトー診療所）』之外并没有什么优秀作品。

此后，在奥山离任后，出现了很多人气颇高、不良题材程度高的漫画作品，，譬如『RAINBOW-二舎六房の七人-（少年犯之七人）』『クロサギ（诈欺猎人）』『土竜の唄（鼹鼠之歌）』等。

2008年5月19日，小学馆宣布根据未来的经营决策考虑停刊。连载的半数作品转移到『BCSpi』、剩下的转移到『BCSpi』的增刊『YSスペシャル（YSSP）』上。

月刊IKKI

发行时间：2003年 - 2014年

人群向：青年

发行日：每月25日

代表作：鉄子の旅系列，金魚屋古書店、异兽魔都 (ドロヘドロ)、聖克麗歐學園 (放課後のカリスマ)、Levius -机关拳斗- (Levius -レビウス-)等。

前身是『BCSpi』的双月刊增刊『スピリッツ増刊IKKI』，创刊时的口号『漫画未到黎明期』（「コミックは未だ黎明期である」），和『BCSpi』共用很多工作人员，也启用了很多在女性杂志活动的漫画家。

举办了两月一次的漫画新人赏『イキマン』，在提交的作品中，总有至少一件优秀作品发表。因为有很多漫画爱好者喜欢的漫画，所以也被称为『小学馆的Afternoon』（讲谈社的『月刊アフタヌーン』（月刊Afternoon））、『小学馆的ガロ』（青林堂的『月刊漫画ガロ』）

尽管因发行量小而出现亏损，但由于图书销量增加和媒体混合效应，2007年开始盈利。该杂志的官方网站「イキパラ」开设了“「WEBイキパラCOMIC」，出版新绘制的网络版连载作品。

2014年7月，宣布同年11月号后停刊。据悉，部分作品将在2015年初推出的新杂志（『ヒバナ』（火花））上再次连载。

コロコロアニキ（コロコロ大哥）

发行时间：2014年10月15日 - 2021年3月15日

人群向：20-30岁的男性

发行日：不定期刊 → 季刊 → 年3回刊

代表作：爆走兄弟レッツ&ゴー!! Return Racers!!、コロコロ創刊伝説等。

口号是『小学生不可以』（「小学生お断り」），它是作为 1977 年首次出版的『月刊コロコロコミック』月刊的成人版出版的。主要目标受众为从『コロコロ』毕业的中学生到成人，类型为青年漫画。

已出版的作品的特色：

有以集换式卡牌游戏为题材的作品

有让20-30岁人怀念的曾经的连载作品的续作或者特别偏

以『コロコロコミック』创刊以来的艰辛和『のむらしんぼ（野村 伸[）』现在自身的困境交织的作品『コロコロ創刊伝説』

从第1期开始『新日本职业摔跤』题材，第5期开始的『坦克』题材的作品。

10月1日　復活のエフ！な近況報告

何かのマンガで表情直す前のログだったと思うのですが何だっけ、ゆる10期ブさんだったかな？？とせっかくみつけたので供養🙏

昨日の急な謎後ろ向きメンタ���＆体の重さ、どうやら風邪をひいていたのが原因でした！おしゃもじです。

今朝起きたら頭痛がしてお薬飲んだけど治ってくれず、夕方まで休んだら今は頭も痛くないし元気！体がめちゃくちゃ軽い✌️✨✨✨ すっかり徳を吸われたり我が家のいつメンじゃなく周回しようとしたせいかと思っていました。思い返せば徳を吸われる前からだるくて動くのおっくうだったじゃん！←

家族にも心配かけてしまったようで麩菓子も追加で買ってもらえて（1ヶ月5袋、としないとあるだけ食べちゃうから）麩菓子も補給して更に元気です😊✨ 今日は特別に4本食べた😊（子供か！←）明日もきっと元気です✨ まだまだ眠れる気がするもんね💪✨

（お題に合わせて描くのが得意じゃない＋開催時間に一緒に描けないことが多くてワンドロに参加したことがほとんどなくて勝手がよくわかっておらず。時間無制限とはいえ3～4日かかってるようなものだと浮いちゃう？？ みなさまに紛れてふわ～っと賑やかしになりたいので１時間で描ける範囲に挑戦するつもりでおります🙇‍♀️ クオリティどうあれ１件でも多く投稿あった方がいいよね？！ 私はそう信じて参加する！！！😂）

（株）茂原火力発電所（TDB企業コード：387021091、東京都千代田区麹町4-5-21、代表清算人荒木秀輝氏）と（株) 椎の森発電所（TDB企業コード：155017084、資本金4億円、同所、同代表清算人）の2社は、7月10日に東京地裁より特別清算開始命令を受けた。 　 　申請代理人は鐘ヶ江洋祐弁護士（東京都千代田区丸の内2-7-2、長島・大野・常松法律事務所）ほか2名。 　（株）茂原火力発電所は、2016年（平成28年）12月に発電事業を目的に設立され、千葉県茂原市の火力発電所の稼働を目指していた。しかし、2021年11月期の当期純損失は約21億4600万円、同期末時点で約39億3200万円の債務超過に陥っていた。 　（株）椎の森発電所は、2015年（平成27年）10月に発電事業を目的に設立され、千葉県袖ケ浦市の火力発電所の稼働を目指していた。しかし、2021年9月期の当期純損失は約16億9600万円を計上し、同期末時点で約13億5200万円の債務超過に陥っていた。 　両社は、2021年3月までに火力発電所を建設・稼働させており、その電力を（株）F－Power（TDB企業コード：960152377、＜現：（株）エフ管財＞）へ販売する計画となっていたが、同社の経営不振（のち2021年3月会社更生法）で計画が頓挫。建設工事代金の支払いに支障を来し、売電事業を行う前に発電所を売却せざるを得ない状況となっていた。 　その後、2社ともに2022年3月設立の新会社へ火力発電事業を承継したうえでその株式を東京ガスグループに売却し、両社は2023年3月16日に株主総会の決議により解散したうえで、6月6日に東京地裁へ特別清算を申請していた。なお、両火力発電所は東京ガスグループのもとで稼働を継続している。 　負債は（株）茂原火力発電所が約158億円、(株) 椎の森発電所が約154億円、2社合計で約312億円。なお、電力事業者の倒産としては、（株）F－Power（負債約464億円）、（株）ホープエナジー（2022年3月破産、負債約300億円）に次いでそれぞれ過去3番目、4番目の負債規模となる。

‪One of the most oddly inspiring things I have read is in the manga F (エフ).

The protagonist’s father, had belittled and resented his son, Takagi Gunma, for being a hooligan brat (or reminding the father too much of himself) and for Gunma following his own impossibly high dreams of being a professional track racer. The father becomes lost in life after being struck from the political race of becoming prime minister of Japan. In his slump, he has a meetup with his son Gunma, and reconnects with his son with a race on the track. He surpisingly begins to finally acknowledge that his hooligan son has finally grown up, and takes a new approach to his own life.

Gunma had had violent arguments and disagreements with his father throughout childhood, the resentment being mutual, having endured being the black sheep of the family for being the bastard son of the father’s mistress (whom had passed away very early in Gunma’s infancy).

Now grown up, Gunma had slowly freed himself from his father’s disdain, that the lifelong disdain he endured from his father is just a memory. Now that this hooligan son has diligently strove towards his passion and found true fulfilment for himself in life, he has also found a semblance of peace. Sure, he is still an explosive spitfire that whips up chaos if given the opportunity. But with that peace inside him, the father no longer can hurt him where it hurts the most. The fact that Gunma doesn’t even bring it up as a grudge surprises me. He doesn’t react in anger at his father’s appearance for that friendly race, armoured now by his goals and dreams. Gunma passed some jestful remarks but had no ill will to his father. Whatever opinions the father may have had of his son, now truly couldn’t sway him, because the son has found his way. Gunma was no longer tied down by his fathers disdain for him, free in spirit and living his life.

At the end of the friendly race, Gunma even has an easy going air and gracefully jokes with his father. The father in turn is humbled by how matured Gunma has grown, and how different he turned out from his expectations. In turn, he is inspired with a new outlook on life, and finds the will to continue with a different goal.

At first read, I disliked the utter unfairness and audacity that the father had, to show up uninvited to the son he hates, after having been such an arse to him his whole life. The scenes of abuse that Gunma endured came rushing back. But it was in fact finally a moment of weakness that ‬the father wished to reconnect and craved understanding from someone familiar. It is a humility and forgiveness from both the father and son that I now really appreciate, since first reading it some 5 years ago. It was one of the surrpisingly heartwarming moments of that Manga for me. Had either one had more stubborn pride, they would have never forgiven nor forgotten, continue to suffer, and spite each other.

So I am grateful for the many takeaway messages from this scene.

When you have goals to strive for, when you have focused, tamed and sharpened yourself, and found some peace and fulfilment in life, nothing can hurt you. And if you have had people that hurt you in life, learn to forgive them and let them go, for they will be in the past and the future “you” will always be capable of being stronger.

Something like your reaction, seeing him without his hat for the first time or some enemy to lover trope. I guess we all know that he is just a sweet and caring guy but i cant help but think how he would react in this case. Like being attractive to reader but at the same time disliking reader (maybe due some sort of misunderstanding?)

Another day inside the Polar Tang was definitely nothing different nor anything special from the other days spent with the Heart Pirates. The sounds of small bickering and some loud laughter could be heard once again from the room besides the corridor. The Polar Tang was docked on an Island, and now it was ready to venture into the seas again. The days went by so fast.

As you make your way into some random submarine window, you felt the slow motion of the submarine slowly backing up, making you lose your balance and almost falling into the floor. Although before you fell, someone had caught you just about time before you had hit the floor, giving you time to try and grab into the wall to stabilize yourself.

"Caught you! You really should prepare yourself ya'know! You've experienced this lotsa' timesss." Penguin teased you as he slowly placed you down onto the ground after catching you. "You owe me one." He sticks his tongue out.

"What the hell?! I didn't even need your help!" You rise back up immediately and almost losing balance again from the sudden motion of moving, you grabbed the wall pipe for dear life. You finally managed and dusting off your butt from the fall. "Look i don't owe you anything! I didn't even wanna get caught by you." You cross your arms and look at another direction.

Penguin snorts at your stubbornness and rolls his eyes at your comment. (Not that you saw him roll his eyes.)

"A simple thank you would've been enough." He didn't bother letting you say anything and immediately passed by you, scoffing. You mock him behind his back, copying his facial expression as his footsteps fade into the distance.

The submarine submerged into the ocean waters by now, hearing nothing but vibrations of the underwater tides and bubbles popping. You peek into the small rpunded windows that allowed you to see marine life animals once again. After dozing off for half an hour by the sub's window, you had realized that you still had duties to fulfill.

Sighing and dragging yourself onto the engine room, you hastily open up the door that it hit the wall connecting to it You enter the room stomping on the ground heavily. You suddenly shrieked as you see someone wearing a boiler suit but having no memory of them being on the submarine.

"H— Intrude—!" The man rushes his way close to you and covering your mouth way before you alarm everyone. You smell the faint scent of his cologne, being similar to the ones you had smelt from Penguin. You resist him and attacking his hands that were over your mouth. Biting his palm, making him jump and pulling your hair.

"H-Hey! It's me, Penguin!" Having him loosen his hands over your mouth, you stop resisting his movements and became calmer. The tone of his voice and a sound of what annoyed you was the indeed similar to Penguin, with no doubts you push him far enough to be able to give you two a comfortable space. Your eyebrows furrow in irritation.

"Peng?! Wh.. Where's your hat?!" You shrieked at him once again, your tone so loud it could be heard by the corridors. You take a moment to look at his face up and down and up, admiring his face that you've never seen before. You caught his eyes staring back at you with his mouth carving a look of nervousness and a frown.

"Ah...well, i kinda..spilt something on it, it's in the laundry room." He clarified your questions, his tone having a pint of nervousness on them. Fidgeting quietly with his fingers and giving you a slight smile.

"Your fault— but i never thought that I'd see your face this clear like before! I've only seen your mouth all the time."

" Could it be that....You find me handsome?! Awh you're so kind (Name)!" He laughs at his claim for you, making you look stupid and a blushing mess infront of him, making you much much more irritated than before. You felt veins pop on your forehead as you launch a kick on his knees as he drops into the floor laughing.

"No way!" You pinch the bridge of your nose as Penguin stopped laughing and stood up. Brushing his boiler suit dusts away, his playful and happy tone disappearing, being replaced with a much more serious one.

"Whateverrr....you suck (Name).." he claims. Crossing his arms as he felt disappointed with your answer, lowering his head and shooking them in distress.

"...Okay just a tiny bit handsome!" You grit your teeth at the guiltiness that you received with his unusual tone, changing your opinions to a much better one. You cross your arms just like him and stared at each other with furrowed eyebrows and a serious gaze. His eyes squinting, your teeth gritting hardly that you swore they were gonna break.

"Hah, thanks anyway..i never thought you'd actually give in." He lets his arms go and resting them besides his torso again, gaining a smile that always painted his facce on a usual day in Polar Tang. His gaze now softens and had a much more presenting look.

"Fuck off!...." Silence.

"Okay fine, I'm being quite serious!" You sigh at the honesty that you had revealed. Giving him the slightest smile you could ever give.

"You aren't that bad sometimes."

"I've never been bad! You just don't understand me is all!" Trying to clarify your defense, Penguin just laughs at your take for an excuse, causing you to punch him in the face a bit too hard. He drops to the floor hardly, making a loud tud.

Attracting the attention of the captain who passed by the corridors in hopes of room inspections. Instead he was met with you on your knees and saying sorry repeatedly to Penguin as he grabbed his face and curl into the floor in agony, having no work in progress. Law decides to never pair you two up ever again in duties. Making you gasp as you try to calm Penguin down by holding of his shoulders as he kick his feet into the air, covering his face with his hands.

Even the captain was shocked with finding Penguin without his usual hat. Making him wonder what rhe hell was happening in the Engine Room. After that incident, you ahd soften your side with Penguin as you two were never paired ever again for submarine duties. Law said it was for the best for you two. After all you two didn't have a progress that was started with.
