Audios - The Romana Project

now we're getting to my favorite stuff. this has the best Romana stories ever. there's also a LOT (over a hundred) so I'll try to be concise

again, I'm grouping these by story ranges

Main Range:

The Apocalypse Element: the Romana story I spent the most time thinking about. it's not the best story ever but god the implications! haunts both me and Romana forever. recommend it before gallifrey spotify link

Neverland/Zagreus: two stories that are very important to the Eight Doctor but you don't need context for these they are insane either way. Zagreus has the first meeting of Leela and Romana and it's incredible to see how far they've come. I love them. also recommend these before gallifrey. spotify links here and here

The Chaos Pool: part of the main range's Key 2 Time arc so it probably makes sense to listen to that completely. haven't listened yet

Gallifrey:

Gallifrey is THE series for you if you love Romana. or Leela. or politics. or Time Lords. or so many other things. I love this series so much I genuinely cannot put it in words. it's everything to me. I can't even say my favorites because they all are (ssshhh some of my very favorites are spirit fractures annihilation extermination and unity but really they all are) so I will just link my reviews on tardis.guide here as well as my liveblogs below

Romana is a main character in this series throughout series 1-6, Intervention Earth, Enemy Lines and Time War 1-4, though she doesn't appear in two of the Time War episodes. she doesn't appear in war room 1 and 2 but we can remain hopeful for the next sets. in general this series is meant to be listened to in release order, but you can add the stories of the new Echos through Eternity set at their chronological points, that's what I'm doing

Fourth Doctor Adventures:

Romana appears in seasons 2, 5, 6 and 9 of the 4DAs. Season 2 is with Mary Tamm as Romana I, released posthumously. The other seasons feature Lalla Ward. Season 9 also has Adric. I'll put my opinion of the ones I've listened to so far below

The Auntie Matter (S2): this one was funny, I really enjoyed it. it is so nice to hear Romana I

The Sands of Life/War against the Laan (S2): these were nice. I felt Romana got a lot to do in them

The Justice of Jalxar (S2): has Jago and Litefoot. has excellent Romana and the Doctor dynamic

Phantoms of the Deep (S2): it's very good, nothing outstanding but a solid story. the underwater setting has something to it. have I mentioned that I love Romana I

Skin of the Sleek/the Thief who Stole Time (S6): god Romana cannot catch a break. heartbreaking. excellent absolutely listen to this

technically these come from a variety of different places and ranges but it's easiest to group these

Glass (audio): a story from the first BBC short trips collection. I've read it but not listened, it's kind of creepy and weird

Seven to One: part of the third Big Finish audio short trips collection. it's one that has all the doctors from one to seven, so Romana doesn't have much of a part. It's also split into one-minute parts throughout the volume

The Old Rogue: a story in the fourth volume of Big Finish audio short trips. I really liked it

Breadcrumbs (audio): this also exists in written form. It's a subscriber short trip which means you get it as a bonus if you buy at least six specific main range stories as a subscription. if you have this pretty please let me know because I don't want to buy six stories I don't even want for one Romana story

The Doctor's First XI: oh god this story. it's so. what do you mean that happened. very very good absolutely excellent it will fuck you up you need to listen to it. again a subscriber short trip so hard to get a hold of, message me for a link. very good cannot recommend enough so fucked up

A Full Life: haven't listened yet but I've heard very good things

Erasure: should honestly be part of the Gallifrey series, best place to listen is between Enemy Lines and Time War. will absolutely wreck you emotionally. the most devastating smile. I cried. absolutely perfect I need to figure out who I can sue for emotional damage though. my favorite short trip ever. Liveblog here

The Warren Legacy: a subscriber short trip that was released among the short trip rarities, so it's not impossible to get for a fair price! It's very good, it does some really interesting stuff with time travel

Messages from the Dead: part of volume 11 audio Big Finish short trips. haven't listened yet

Audio Adaptations:

there are four TV stories of Romana that have been adapted for audio. these are State of Decay, The Stones of Blood, The Androids of Tara and Warriors' Gate. I have listened to all of these, they're quite nice. My personal favorite is Warriors' Gate. The later three were then adapted into Target books for the new Target range. as far as I know all the other target books also have audiobooks by now (I recommend any read by Lalla Ward but if you're here you're probably going to listen to those already) but these ones are special because the audio version came first

Novel adaptations:

the three VMAs by Gareth Roberts starring the fourth Doctor and Romana II, The Romance of Crime, The English Way of Death and The Well-Mannered War were adapted into full cast audio versions by Big Finish. I've listened to the first which I thought was very good

Miscellanous:

Shada (audio): there are a lot of Shada versions out there. this is the audio version with the eighth Doctor. it's practically identical to the audio of the webcast version so I recommend you watch that. Eight and President Romana are truly an amazing combination though

Babblesphere: part of the Destiny of the Doctor event. read by Lalla Ward. I really liked it. spotify link

Second Sight: part of the Worlds of Doctor Who. works on its own, but best in combination with the other stories in this release. Loved it, it's got very good Leela moments and Romana and the doctor working to save her is excellent

Companion Piece: the second story of the third Ravenous boxset. can absolutely be listened to as a standalone, I recommend a quick skim of the wiki so you know who the Nine is. helps if you know some of Eight's companions but can be done without that too. Romana's cameo is tiny, i've cut it out here. I enjoyed this story!

Collision Course: part of the Legacy of Time. The whole boxset is really great, but also rather loosely connected, so you can listen to these on their own. This story is great, it's got wonderful Romana and Leela moments, really do recommend

The Kairos Ring (audio): part of the Beyond the Doctor release. later also released in written form in Warriors' Gate and Beyond. haven't listened yet

The Doomsday Contract: one of the lost stories, as adapted by Big Finish. haven't listened yet

Stolen Futures: Romana's story in the Eight of March 2 boxset. haven't listened yet

The Difference Office: part of the Unbound: the Doctor of War 1 boxset. haven't listened yet

The Lord of Misrule: an audio novel that also has Jago and Litefoot, with Romana I. haven't listened yet

Adventures in a Pocket Universe: these are two stories by BBV productions, The Choice and The Search that contain a character played by Lalla Ward identified as the Mistress. It's Romana. They just weren't allowed to say that. I liked the Choice a lot, The Search was fine. They are a little wild but honestly really entertaining

I will also mention Dalek, I Love You and Dalek, I Love You Too from Doctor Who at the BBC: The Plays, which appear to have more of a meta narrative. There's a character that is somehow connected to Romana but I can't say how much because I haven't been able to track these down. I don't really think they belong on this list but I'd like to confirm that. Especially the second one appears to be lost media. So if you know anything about these, please tell me

Yes, there are, and here's an example. Let's assume you check how much memory 'postgres' uses. This can be done by executing:

Here's a Perl 1 program generated with the Awk to Perl translator from the 'x2p' subdirectory. It's a slightly modified version of it.

Each guilty charge earned her 30 months in prison, though the two sentences will run consecutively, giving her five years in total. She will also be required to pay a $10,000 fine. A former San Diego County Teacher of the Year who pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two of her sixth-grade students was sentenced Friday to 30 years behind bars.

The sentence was part of the deal Jacqueline Ma, 36, struck in pleading guilty Feb. 5 to two counts of forcible lewd acts with a child under age 14 and also admitting to a lewd act with a child under age 14. Both children had been students at Lincoln Acres Elementary School, where Ma was a teacher.

Ma also pleaded guilty to a count of possessing material containing a minor engaged in or simulating sexual conduct.

The District Attorney’s Office said she groomed boys with “gifts, food and special attention and even completed their homework for them.”

Before handing down the sentence, Chula Vista Superior Court Judge Enrique Camarena said Ma had cultivated the sexual relationships in plain sight over an extended period, but she was protected from scrutiny due to her status as an award-winning teacher.

“This isn’t just a one-day accident, mistake, bad judgment or evil act,” Camarena said. “(The sentencing) encompasses punishment for a prolonged pattern of child sexual abuse.”***

Ma had taught fifth and sixth grades in the National School District since 2013. In August 2022, she was one of five teachers in the region selected as a San Diego County Teacher of the Year.

She was arrested seven months later. In March 2023, the parent of a 12-year-old boy reached out to National City police to report a suspected inappropriate relationship with their son.

Prosecutors said Ma had been using video game chat rooms and a family tablet to communicate with the 12-year-old. Hart said the physical relationship between the two began in late 2022, a few months before the messages were found by the boy’s parents.

The boy’s parents reportedly did not allow him to have social media or his own electronics. But investigators learned Ma was able to get access to him by setting up an unsanctioned after-school program and talking with him through a school chat application.

The sexual assaults occurred in Ma’s classroom over three months while the boy’s parents thought he was enrolled in an after-school basketball program, prosecutors said.

The investigation into Ma revealed a second suspected victim — a boy who was 11 years old when prosecutors say she sent him sexually charged messages in 2020, according to testimony at her preliminary hearing.

The 11-year-old boy was reportedly approached by Ma in 2020, but he fled the room, Hart said.

Erik and Lyle Menendez will have a new shot at freedom after 35 years behind bars for murdering their parents, a judge ruled Friday. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Jesic reduced the brothers’ sentences from life without parole to 50 years to life. They’re now eligible for parole under California’s youthful offender law because they committed the crime under the age of 26. The state parole board must still decide whether to release them from prison.***

The current district attorney Nathan Hochman said Tuesday that he believes the brothers are not ready for resentencing because “they have not come clean” about their crimes. His office also has said it does not believe they were sexually abused. “Our position is not ‘no,’ it’s not ‘never,’ it’s ‘not yet,’” Hochman said. “They have not fully accepted responsibility for all their criminal conduct.” Recently, prosecutors cited the forensic psychologist's analysis that said the brothers had recently broken prison rules by smuggling cellphones inside, which Hochman argued demonstrated an inability to regulate their own behavior. It came to the conclusion that they were “moderately more likely” than others to engage in violence in the community, Hochman said. Hochman's office attempted twice to withdraw the resentencing petition but both attempts were rejected by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Jesic.***

In response, Said provided material assistance to the attack plan, including providing armor-piercing ammunition and magazines for the attack, flying his drone over TACOM to conduct operational reconnaissance, training the undercover employees on firearms and the construction of Molotov cocktails for use during the attack, and planning numerous details of the attack including how to enter TACOM and which building to target. On May 13 – the scheduled day of the attack – Said was arrested after he traveled to an area near TACOM and launched his drone in support of the attack plan. He will make his initial court appearance today in the Eastern District of Michigan. The U.S. Attorney’s Office will be asking the court to hold Said in pretrial detention because of his danger to the community and the risk that he will flee.***

The Littleton man arrested Monday on charges of child sex assault groomed his students on social media to gain their trust and “ultimately committed unspeakable acts for his own benefit,” Douglas County investigators stated in his arrest affidavit. David Feil, 49, faces two felony charges of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust that stem from one incident where he allegedly allowed a student to sit on his lap while he had an erection and another where he held another child’s buttocks during a conversation, according to the affidavit. Douglas County School District officials received a Safe2Tell tip in March from a sixth grader at Roxborough Intermediate School in Feil’s class. The anonymous student said Feil added many boys on video game platforms and girls on social media, according to the arrest affidavit. The student also said Feil routinely sent students inappropriate videos on Snapchat, including multiple where he was shirtless or blowing kisses toward the camera. Detectives interviewed three of Feil’s former students who were “treated differently” by the man, according to the affidavit. Feil allegedly spoke to those students about pornography, a converstation he told them not to tell their parents about or he would “get in trouble and go to jail”; brought them gifts to school; gave them “hand massages”; touched their buttocks and friended them on multiple social media platforms, sheriff’s officials said in the arrest affidavit.*** At one point, according to the arrest affidavit, the sixth-grade students nicknamed Feil “Mr. Pedophile.”***

A federal grand jury returned an indictment yesterday charging Seth Herrera, 35, a U.S. Army soldier, previously of El Paso, TX, with attempted sexual exploitation of a child and receipt of files depicting child sexual abuse. According to court documents, Herrera allegedly used encrypted messaging applications and network applications to find, receive, and download child sexual abuse material (CSAM) over the course of multiple years, beginning in 2021. He also allegedly used artificial intelligence chatbots to generate CSAM using images of children he knew. He is also alleged to have surreptitiously taken images and videos of those same children undressing in his home in El Paso. Herrera is already charged in Alaska relating to his alleged transportation, receipt, and possession of CSAM, including AI-generated CSAM, while stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska.

Akkor: Hello MOTO!

Történt áprilisban, hogy a telefonom úgy gondolta ideje nyugállományba mennie, ezért egyik hétvégén gondoltam betérek a szolgáltatómhoz, úgyis meg kellett hosszabbítanom a szerződésem.

A választás

Így történt az, hogy az üzletbe érve a pultnál hamarosan választás elé kerültem. Természetesen előzetesen tájékozódtam már, hogy a büdzsémhez mely csomag, és készülék kombinációk passzolhatnak, úgyhogy nagyjából tudtam mikre számíthatok. Az értékesítő hölggyel taglalva a lehetőségeket végül két készülékre szűkült a választási lehetőség: egy Honor Magic6 Lite-ra, és egy Motorola Moto G54 5G Power modellre.

A két készülék egy árkategóriát képvisel, még bőven beesnek a 100 ezer alatti összeghatárba. Áruháza válogatja, de legdrágábban mindkettő 85 ezer forint körül vehető meg. Ezzel az árazással már a középkategóriás mezőnyben foglalnak helyet, de még a könnyebben megfizethető szektorában. Szolgáltatóknál nulla forintos áron is kihozhatók. Az én választásom a Motorola Moto G54 5G Power készülékre esett, de nézzük meg az említett készülékek specifikációit.

Tapasztalatom

Ahogy azt említettem jelen bejegyzés megírásakor csupán két hónapja használom a Motorola készülékét, ami bár nem túl sok idő, de ahhoz elég, hogy elmondjam ezen az egyelőre rövid távon milyen felhasználói tapasztalataim vannak. Nálam a telefon egy "munkaeszköz" amivel fotózom, videókat készítek, és szerkesztem, posztolom ezeket. Ezek mellett pedig olyan hétköznapi dolgokra is használom a telefonom, mint a kapcsolattartás, zenehallgatás, videónézés, böngészés, olvasás. Extraként egy-egy edzéshez, és egészséghez kapcsolódó appot is le szoktam tölteni. Játszani nem szoktam, de jelenleg egy játék van a telefonom, viszont mivel kevés szabadidőm van, ezért csak néha nyitom meg nagyjából fél órára. A Motorola előtt egy Oppo A16s telefont nyúztam ugyan ilyen használati szokások mellett. Ez a telefon szintén a szolgáltatótól került a birtokomba, de akkoriban az 55 ezres árkategóriába tartozott a készülék a piacon. Ma már inkább 65-70 ezer közt fogod megtalálni, ami szerintem kicsit sok érte, tekintve, hogy csak 4G képes (bár ez nem probléma egyelőre), 4GB RAM-mal, és 64 GB memóriával, és kamerás készségekben sem közelíti meg a Moto G54 Powert, vagy a Magic6 Lite-ot. Készítettem vele sok jó képet, úgyhogy erre igazából nincs különösebb panaszom ennek ellenére.

Térjünk rá arra, hogy miért is választottam a Motorola Moto G54 5G Power okostelefont, illetve mik az eddigi tapasztalataim. Mint mondtam előzetesen tudatosan összegyűjtöttem az információkat, hogy milyen készülékek közül is tudok választani, mi az, ami ár-érték arányban kedvezőbb lesz, élhető kompromisszumokkal. A lehetséges jelöltek listájában ott volt a Moto G54 5G Power is. Az adatok alapján megfelelő jelöltnek tűnt már akkor, ami a kamerás képességeket, és a lehetséges működést illeti. A számításaim aztán beigazolódtak, sőt, még némi meglepetés is ért. A működés, az applikációk futtatása számomra teljesen megfelelő. A processzor kielégítően végzi a munkáját. Szimpatikus, hogy a telefon egy letisztult, "stock" Androiddal érkezik. Van néhány előre telepített alkalmazás, játék, amiket saját belátásod szerint törölhetsz, vagy megtarthatsz. Én töröltem őket a készülékről. Az első új dolog az a maximális 120 Hz-es képfrissítés volt számomra. A 20:9 képarányú kijelzőn felüdülés a szememnek így fogyasztani a tartalmat, de természetesen beállítható az is, hogy adaptív módon változtassa a telefon a képfrissítési rátát. Ez az első telefonom, amiben Dolby Atmos funkció található, és azt kell mondjam kiválóan teszi a dolgát. Az intelligens vezérlésen kívül számos beépített opció, helyzet közül választhatunk, ami alapján optimalizálja a hangot a telefon, de még arra is van lehetőségünk, hogy egyedi hangbeállításokat adjunk meg. Ezt különösen arra az esetre ajánlják, ha vezeték nélküli eszközzel hallgatunk valamit. Én egy Lenovo LP40 bluetooth fülhallgatót használok hozzá, és az egyedi hangbeállítások kalibrálása után teljesen elégedett vagyok a hangzással. A jack aljzatba a többi telefonnál finomabb erőkifejtéssel is behelyezhető a füles, mégis rendesen tartja a csatlakoztatott eszközt. Ezt nem mondanám problémának, csupán észrevételnek, amit más Motorolánál is tapasztaltam. Mielőtt elérkeznénk a legnagyobb meglepetéshez a készülékkel kapcsolatban, fontos kiemelnem, hogy hatalmas dicséret jár a 6000mAh akksiért. A telefon képessége, teljesítménye igényli a többlet energiát, viszont használattól függően el tudsz lenni vele akár két napot, és csak utána töltőre tenni. Nem kell izgulni, hogy napközbeni használat során vajon kibírja-e hazáig a töltés. Hálózatra dugva a TurboPower gyorstöltéssel pedig hamar elérhető a megfelelő töltöttség.

Térjünk rá arra, ami számomra a legnagyobb meglepetést hozta, ami megmelengette a szívem...a kamerákra! Mi másra? Két csoportra bontanám ezen belül is a meglátásaimat: a fotós, és a videós képességekre. Az előbbi számos funkcióval rendelkezik, és itt ért az első olyan dolog, amin pislogtam pár másodpercig, de ennyire ne szaladjunk még előre. Amikor megnyitjuk a kamerát, akkor az alap fényképezés funkcióval találjuk szemben magunkat, ahol a szoftverre van bízva a végeredmény. Alapvetően kontrasztos, szaturált színekkel, jó dinamikatartománnyal, gyors autofókusszal dolgozik a készülék ebben a funkcióban is. Itt választhatunk aztán a makro, az ultra széles funkciók között is. Az alap fényképezési funkció kétszeres nagyítást kínál, amely teljesen elfogadható képekre képes. Maximálisan nyolcszoros nagyításig tudunk elmenni, de azt nem ajánlanám, viszont bizonyos körülmények között 3-4x-es nagyításig elmehetünk.

A hátlapi kamera Portré módban az arcszőrzet egy része, a hajszálak is mosottak lehetnek, de ezt leszámítva jól szeparálja az alanyt a háttérről. A portré mód állatokról is képes remek fotót készíteni, igaz velük egy kicsit ügyeskedni kell ehhez.

Az ultra széles látószögű kamera, ahogy azt említettem a specifikációknál, 8 megapixeles lett. Ennek kellene az alapnak lennie más, hasonló kategóriájú telefonoknál is, ugyanis itt már tudunk jó, közösségi média kompatibilis fotókat készíteni. A színek kicsit kevésbé szaturáltak, mint a főkamera által készített képeken, de engem nem zavar különösebben. A részletesség, és a dinamikatartomány is megfelelő. Mivel autofókuszt kapott az ultra széles kamera is, ezért a makrofotós feladatokat is képes ellátni a – még mindig annyira divatos – 2 megapixeles dedikált makro kameráknál lényegesen jobban. Örülök, hogy a Motorola ennél a modellnél kihagyta azt, és ezzel a jobb megoldással állt elő makrozáshoz. Azt kell mondjam, ahhoz képest, hogy alap autofókuszos ultraszéles kamerát kaptunk, egész lenyűgöző eredményre képes makro módban.

Az előlapi kamerával lehetőségünk van egyéni, és páros/csoportos képek elkészítésére is. Itt megválaszthatjuk a különböző arcretusálási funkciókat, de rábízhatjuk magunkat az intelligens funkcióra is, emellett különböző szűrőket is elérünk. A részletesség jó, élénk bőrtónusokkal. Természetesen portré módban is használható az előlapi kamera. Ekkor az arcretusálási opciókon kívül megjelenik egy "f" betű is a képernyőn, amely előhozza a különböző háttérelmosási mértékeket. Az alanyt jól leválasztja a háttérről. Portré módban viszont nincs lehetőségünk a szűrők közül választani. Az előlapi kameránál is beállíthatjuk, hogy kihasználja a teljes megapixelszámot. Most pedig elárulom, hogy mi volt a legnagyobb meglepetés számomra a kamerás opciók terén. Az előző telefonom minden fotót, még pro módban is kizárólag JPG-ben mentett. Erre számítottam a Moto G54 Power-nél is, azonban amikor megnyitottam a "Profi" funkciót a képernyő tetején láttam, hogy kijelzi alapvetően JPG formátumban fog menteni. Kíváncsiságból ráböktem, és akkor ért a meglepetés, hogy a telefon nemcsak RAW-ban tud képeket menteni, de felajánlja a RAW+JPG lehetőséget is. Azért ezt nem mondanám általánosnak a középkategóriában. Megörültem, hiszen a RAW formátum sokkal nagyobb szabadságot ad utószerkesztésnél, mint a JPG. A Profi módban szinte mindent kézzel állítok be a megfelelő képhez, kivéve egyetlen opciót, mégpedig a fehéregyensúlyt. Úgy tapasztaltam, hogy kézzel nem lehet annyira finoman beállítani az értékeket, viszont szerencsére a szoftver egész jól beállít egy olyan fakóbb, enyhén melegebb árnyalatot, amit aztán könnyen változtathatok Lightroomban, vagy Snapseedben. Alapvetően én a hűvösebb felé szoktam eltolni a fotóimon a fehéregyensúlyt. Fontos kiemelni azt is, hogy RAW-ban történő fotózáskor a kétszeres nagyítást nem használhatjuk, illetve azt tapasztaltam, hogy makróban nem engedi a RAW fotózást. Ha megpróbálom, akkor a végeredmény olyan, mintha az ultraszéles kamera tulajdonságait hozná. Amint visszaváltok JPG-re a fotó "normális" makrónak néz ki. Ebből következtettem azt, hogy Profi módban a makro funkció nem támogatja a RAW formátumot. A helyes expozíció megállapítását pedig a képernyő sarkában megjelenő hisztogram is segíti.

Éjszaka, rossz fényviszonyok közt nem nagyon használtam még a telefont fotózásra, csak néhány tesztképet csináltam, hogy lássam mit tud, de ezeket nem tartottam meg. Alapvetően a kategóriájához, és az árához képest a főkamera teljesen rendben teljesít. Jól megőrzi a részleteket a sötétebb területeken is, a csúcsfényeket is megfelelően kezeli. A színek alapvetően melegebb árnyalatúak lesznek, de nem zavaró. Utómunkával ezen lehet változtatni, ha hozzám hasonlóan a kicsit hűvösebb tónusokat preferálod. Ha a dedikált Éjszakai fotózás funkciót használod, még jobb eredményeket érhetsz el. A fotóid ezzel részletesebbek, fényesebbek lesznek, természetesebb színekkel. Azt érdemes észben tartani, hogy a Éjszakai mód csak a hátlapi főkamera használata esetén elérhető. Az ultraszéles látószögű kamerával, rossz fényviszonyok közt készített képek selymes hatásúak, a fényforrások kicsit kiégnek a képeken, de nem katasztrófa a helyzet. Az előlapi kamera is meglepően jól teljesít rossz fényviszonyok közt, annak ellenére, hogy azért látunk a képeken zajosodást, de a fotók még mindig teljesen elfogadhatóak lesznek. Az előlapi kamera képalkotását a képernyő vaku is segíti.

Az általam egyelőre szintén ritkábban használt funkció az a videózás. Igaz készítettem néhány, számomra érdekes természeti felvételt többek között. Videót mindegyik kamerával, és mindegyik kamera módban tudunk készíteni. Sokan kiemelik, hogy a Dimensity 7020 processzor korlátai itt ütköznek ki, ugyanis a maximális videófelbontás 1080p 30fps, de utóbbit 60fps-re is változtathatjuk. Számomra továbbra sem akkora tragédia, hogy egy telefon 2024-ben 1080p minőségben képes videót felvenni. Plusz nyalánkságként elektromos képstabilizálást is kaptunk. A főkamera részletgazdag, remek színezésű videók felvételére képes. A dinamika tartomány lehetne még szélesebb. Az ultraszéles látószögű kamera szintén 1080p felvételre képes, de a 60fps üzemmódot nem támogatja. Hiába alap kamera, de jó a részletesség, a színek meglepően hasonlóak a főkamerával látottakéhoz. Zavaró fókusz vadászat nincsen. A dinamika tartomány szűkösebb, és néhol némi zajosodást is láthatunk, de semmi olyan, ami bántaná a szemet. Az előlapi kamera a maga ligájában szintén remek felvételekre képes. Kiváló részletesség, jól visszaadja az arc tulajdonságait, a bőrtónus megfelelő. A kontrasztosság kicsit magasnak mondható, de igazából ez ízlés kérdése. A videók stabilizálás nélkül ugrálhatnak, ha menet közben készítünk felvételt, és hepehupás terepen megyünk. Az EIS természetesen az előlapi kameránál is használható. Szépen működik mindegyik kamera esetében, de mivel elektronikus stabilizálásról beszélünk azzal számolni kell, hogy belevág valamelyest a képbe, és ilyenkor fókusztévesztés is előfordul.

Különleges funkciók

Néhány sajátos felvételi funkciót is találunk a kamera applikációban, ha a további lehetőségekre megyünk.

A képen a teljes további funkciók sorát láthatjuk. Nagy része nem hiszem, hogy magyarázatra szorul, de kettőt kiemelnék a sorból, méghozzá a Kettős fotózás nevű lehetőségeket. Láthatjuk, hogy ezt a nevet két funkció is viseli. Az, ahol egy videólejátszó szimbólum is van a sarokban, értelemszerűen a videófelvételekre vonatkozik. Ez azért megkaphatta volna külön a "Kettős videózás" nevet, de ez csak egy észrevétel. Mindegyik funkció úgy működik, hogy egyszerre rögzít felvételt az előlapi –, és a hátlapi kamerával is. A nézetek elrendezését változtathatjuk úgy, hogy vagy a képernyő alsó és felső felén osztoznak a felvételek, vagy pedig úgy, hogy van egy fő nézetünk, és a jobb felső sarokban pedig egy kisebb téglalapban a másodlagos kép. Változtathatjuk a kamerák látószögét is mind a fotózásnál, mind a videókészítésnél is. Alapvetően a másodlagos kép mindkét esetben a ultraszéles kamerát fogja használni. Hogyha meg akarjuk változtatni a látószöget, ahhoz először elsődleges nézetre kell tenni azt, ami megnyitáskor másodlagosként szerepelt, és a főképernyőn átválthatunk az eredeti látószögre. Váltani úgy tudunk, hogy a fő nézet, és a másodlagos között van egy oda-vissza mutató nyílpár. Erre kell rányomni a nézetek váltásához. Ez a funkció a vlogolást is fel tudja dobni, de használható kulisszák mögötti tartalomgyártáshoz, esetleg oktatóvideó készítéséhez, ahol több folyamatot kell bemutatni.

Lehet, hogy az árkategóriában van erősebb teljesítményt hozó készülék is, de vannak olyan pluszok, melyek miatt van helye a középmezőnyben. Nem bántam meg, hogy a Motorola Moto G54 5G Power modelljét választottam. Mindennapi felhasználásra remek telefon, sőt, ahogy olvastátok még többre is.
