We are gearing up for an intense triple header! That means it's time to toss you a discord server that might fit your interests! F1 Family promotes no driver hate and accessibility to motorsports of all kinds!

We've been around about a year, and we are a friendly community of around 600! We promote an environment where F1 fans of all drivers and teams can come together and love the sport without the additional stress of toxicity and sludge that is often found in fan spaces. This does not mean drivers aren't sometimes criticized or that negative opinions are silenced - not at all - we just do not allow full on hate of drivers. We also strive to make motorsports more accessible for people!

If you are new or been around the sport a while, there's space for you! A lot of our members are brand new and asking questions daily, while others have been around a long time and answer the questions in a friendly manner without putting down the newcomers!

We stream the races every race weekend. Most free practices, the qualis, and the races themselves. We usually have a crowd of around 100-110 that come for the races but not everyone talks in the chat, it's completely up to you! All sessions for the upcoming triple header will be streamed!

We also have general chatting for f1, off topic chatting, chatting for tons of other motorsports, spaces for artists, musicians, video creators, writers, and more! We host a fan-run Prediction League and we also have our own Fantasy League on the official site for the server as well. We support and stream/have chats for: f2, f3, f1a, f3, wec, imsa, super formula, super gt, indycar, nascar, motogp, and more!

Sometimes we do movie nights, game nights, watch old races, and more! It's a really chill place to hang out, without the fear of having to see flaming hate for your driver every five seconds like in some fan spaces. All are welcome to join! Our friendly mod team are happy to help integrate you in slowly if you'd like!

The back of Max's neck is sunburned from spending all day outside. He gingerly presses his fingers to the skin there and it feels sensitive, hot to the touch.

The sun had long since set below the horizon, the rusty dirt and yellow-grayish grass now bathed in twilight purple. Still, the heat hasn't left them, even the evening can't save Max from the hot Australian weather.

It's his first time visiting Daniel's farm. Daniel invited him before Abu Dhabi, had a long and elaborate explanation about spending some time during the winter break together before he moves to Renault. — an explanation that Max didn't need, he would've said yes either way.

Max is here only for five days, but it's the best five days he's ever had — alone with Daniel on his big farm in Perth, enjoying the weather and the sights: the streets Daniel grew up in, the race track he used to spend all his time in together with his father, the grassy plains and dirt roads of his farm where Daniel sometimes walks without a shirt on, all the smooth tan skin glistening with sweat.

"Are we there yet?" Max asks, dragging his feet through the orange dirt.

They spent their whole day outside, riding dirt bikes in the morning, hiding from the high midday sun on Daniel's porch.

Then, when the sun was already on its way down, Daniel said, "Come on, Maxy, I need to show you something," tossed Max his hat and a bottle of water, and started leading him somewhere in the far corner of the farm. At first, Max assumed it would be a simple walk, but it quickly turned into a small hike, walking through small hills and tall grass as the sun set beyond the horizon.

Beside him, Daniel smiles. "Almost there," he says, taking a drink from his bottle.

Their walk is accompanied by sounds of cicadas chirping in the grass, rustling of leaves, a distant thrilling of a bird song. The air smells of dry grass and dirt, and if Max focuses enough, he can catch a faint smell of sweat coming from Daniel and himself.

Soon, they walk up to a small gathering of trees — their bark is smooth and white, branches covered in long leaves and small fluffy flowers. Max and Daniel follow a path between the trees that leads them to a small creek. The stream is weak, water barely moving the shiny surface and the plants that grow by the grassy shore.

"Here we are," Daniel announces, gesturing around him.

"This is lovely," says Max. And it is, with the small breeze coming from the water and hidden in the trees' shadows, it's pleasantly cold, a reprieve from the humid air. It secluded too, with no one else around except for the tiny birds hiding in the sweeping branches.

Daniel smiles again, or maybe he hasn't stopped yet — since they both landed in Australia, Daniel's been laughing and grinning non-stop.

Max tries to remember that it's because Daniel is home, but when Daniel's eyes crinkle at him, it's hard to convince Max's heart it isn't because of him.

Max is startled from his thoughts by the sound of water splashing. He turns to where Daniel was standing a second ago, but sees only his shoes and the water bottle. Looking ahead, he spots Daniel standing ankle deep in the water, nodding to himself.

"Daniel?" he asks, when Daniel comes back to the shore.

"We can cool off, come on. The water is great." Daniel replies, then takes off his shirt and reaches for the strings of his shorts.

"Uh. But we didn't bring any-" Max starts, already reaching to take off his shirt, but his brain stutters when Daniel, all tattoos and toned skin on display, puts his thumbs under the waistband of his briefs.

Looking away feels laborious, like his eyeballs should've made the sound of scraping stones or creaking wood. Blush burns on Max's cheeks while he looks down, following Daniel's bare feet running into the water in the corner of his eye.

"Come on, Maxy!" Daniel yells from the water.

With slow, unsteady movements Max takes off his shorts and shoes. Then, reaching for the waistband of his boxers, he looks up. Daniel is on his back, floating in the water. His eyes are closed.

Weirdly, this feels like a test. Max could easily leave his underwear on and join Daniel, but that would break the atmosphere that has surrounded them all week: lingering touches and warm evenings carried on by whispered conversations.

With a steadying breath, Max slides off his boxers and quickly makes his way to the creek, feet tickled by grass blades. When the water reaches his waist, Max lunges forward, submerging himself under the surface. The water is blissfully chill, helping Max to cool off.

When he breaks the surface, water slides down his hair, rivulets getting in his eyes. Daniel laughs as Max wipes his face with his palm.

The creek is not very deep, Max stands on it's sandy bottom and the water only reaches his shoulders. Still, floating here together with Daniel, both naked under the water's murky surface, Max feels buoyant, unstable — like if the stream was strong enough, it would carry him away.

As if feeling the same, Daniel reaches his hand from the water and grabs Max's neck, gripping the sunburn-sensitive skin. Max shudders, feeling electricity travel from Daniel's fingers on his nape right to where he's naked and exposed underwater.

"Hi," Daniel says, reeling Max closer. His breath ghosts over the wet skin of Max's blushing cheek.

Max licks his lips to reply, but all words die in his tongue when he feels Daniel's mouth on his. With his other hand, Daniel grabs Max's waist, making him gasp into the kiss. Daniel giggles and bites on Max's lower lip.

When they part to take a breath, Max can't contain his smile. He feels on fire, cheeks flaming, and wonders if he should duck under the water to cool off again.

Beside him, Daniel is smiling too, curls sticking to his forehead with water, shoulders glistening under the rising moon.

If you find yourself saying "jeez I wish I had people to watch races with" or you simply just want to add another server to your roster so you can make friends and chat about F1 shenanigans, consider ours!

We have general chats, off topic chats, pet chats, news, we have the race schedules up with dynamic time zones so they'll display for everyone in their own personalized timezone. We stream all the qualifying and races, and SOMETIMES practices if we're asked to by someone in the server. We have fun driver emojis too.

Given that their composition changes so regularly, any team I currently support may be made up of completely different players, coaches, and administrators in five years. In what sense, then, will I be supporting the same team that I support now?

been thinking about this a lot lately, especially in relation to the growing trend of fans (in a variety team sports) supporting individual players as opposed to teams. what compels us to continue supporting a team even after the youngest player at the first match we watched has retired? what identity, independent of the players who make it up, does a team posses? even after players have been traded, coaches have been hired and fired, and ownership has changed hands, there remains some spirit so foundational to the being of the club that allows us to identify it as the same. this, i believe, is it's grounding in and connection to a particular place.

i find it particularly telling that the practice of supporting individuals over teams is perhaps most prevalent in sports where there is a concerted effort made to scrub away a team's sense of place to make way for sponsor based identities, such as formula 1. the sport's international nature and high team turnover rate (tied to sponsors, of course) likely also plays a part. what, then, is driving this change in other sports?

football has always been a sport where teams have been intrinsically tied to a place. while the player over team support trend has yet to become as prevalent in football as it is in some other sports, it does seem to be creeping in. this could be potentially chalked up to a number of factors. perhaps it's the globalization (read: mostly increased american interest, as the rest of the world has been playing football happily for years) of the sports, introducing fans who have no personal connection to the place a club is from, and therefore lack allegiance to the club. maybe it's the steady increase in foreign ownership of teams, to an extent where this erodes away at fan's visions of a club as a physical manifestation of the spirit of their hometown. perhaps stronger personal branding of players is a part of it; they're no longer simply an agent of the team, but an individual in their own right, worthy of being followed no matter where they go (there is something to be said here about the relationship between personal branding, increased sponsor opportunities, and the fact that having ten individual players shill your product is better than the singular entity that is the team). whatever it is, i do find it a little sad - it renders teams somewhat purposeless, empty husks whose only purpose is to house players, otherwise devoid of value.

Hey guys! Me and my dear friend @aston-angel have been struggling to find an F1 server that suits our needs. So we decided why not make our own?

Celebratory Doughnuts Area aims to be an 18+ Adults Only server where we can share our love of Formula 1, modern and classic! We welcome fans of all drivers, and all writing and art about the pinnacle of motorsports! (Yes even the spicy kind.)

We are brand new, so bear with us as people begin talking and we fine tune a few things. If you see any issues please let us know! Aston-Angel has previous modding experience so things should be running smoothly but theres's always the inevitable kink to iron out.
