Après les succès de "Top Gun" en 1986 et "Top Gun: Maverick" en 2022, une nouvelle série est en préparation. Elle se concentrera sur de jeunes pilotes de l'US Navy qui font partie du prestigieux programme de formation au combat aérien.   Top Gun : La Série mettant en Scène l'Élite des Pilotes de l'US Navy  : Le phénomène "Top Gun: Maverick" a conquis non seulement le box-office en 2022, mais a également ravivé la passion du public pour les exploits du pilote de chasse Pete "Maverick" Mitchell (Tom Cruise), 36 ans après le film original réalisé par Tony Scott. Le public est toujours au rendez-vous, les fans se comptent par millions, et c'est ainsi que la chaîne National Geographic a eu l'idée de poursuivre l'exploration de l'univers "Top Gun" en développant une série de télé-réalité centrée sur les élèves du célèbre programme de perfectionnement en combat aérien. Intitulée provisoirement "Top Gun: Next Generation", cette série suivra plusieurs pilotes de l'US Navy inscrits au Programme d'Entraînement au Pilotage Avancé, un programme de formation similaire à celui montré dans les films avec Tom Cruise. Tom McDonald, un des responsables de la chaîne National Geographic, a déclaré : "Avec des millions de fans du film à travers le monde, j'ai été immédiatement attiré par cette série. Ces pilotes d'élite sont non seulement impressionnants et extrêmement expérimentés, mais ils ont aussi chacun leur propre histoire à raconter." Séquences Aériennes et Entretiens Personnels Ce qui distingue "Top Gun: Next Generation" sera son accès exclusif et inédit à ce programme militaire. La série inclura des séquences aériennes, des épreuves et des tests pour déterminer quels pilotes auront l'opportunité de piloter le F35C Lightning II, l'avion de combat occidental le plus avancé au monde. En plus de ces scènes spectaculaires, la série explorera les parcours individuels des pilotes à travers des entretiens portant sur des aspects plus personnels. September 10th test flights of an F-35C carrying a pair of AGM-158C LRASMs.

The LRASM is an AI-enabled ship-hunting cruise missile that can cover hundreds of miles under turbofan power while coordinating with one another to identify and distribute targets, and then deliver a 1,000-lb warhead to the most vulnerable part of a moving warship.

… and the airplane is pretty rad too.

Note the blue bands (they indicate these weapons are inert).
