It's crazy to think we still haven't gotten another show like Xena since we've been promised with progression. It just feels like corporate marketing blurbs even shows like Agatha all along still doesn't compare to Xena warrior princess for one it was too goddamn short.

i do understand it’s not 100% guaranteed Buddie will go canon, but it’s being written like a romance. this show is full of pairings, and it’s obvious Buck & Eddie are one of them. if someone started watching 9-1-1 at season 8b with very little background, it would have to be interpreted as a love story. the amount of emotional intimacy expressed between them is intense, even if the honestly of why is still being hidden. i agree friends can be emotionally intimate with each other, but it’s not being written as a platonic intimacy.

of a group of friends who are all very close, Buck is the only one there to see him off. Eddie looking back as he leaves while Buck stands in the middle of the road to get every last glimpse of Eddie in his sight… how else could that be interpreted by someone who had no vested interest either way.
