i know everyone and their mother knows about webh since it's all i talk about and have talked about for, loosely, the last decade, but in case you're new here i have an ongoing series called weary exile, bright heart. it is an alternate retelling of fallout 4 featuring a vault 111 survivor and takes place about seven or so years after the institute was destroyed. it deviates from canon in a number of ways but is not necessarily an au of fo4, and i tried to be thoughtful about the changes i made!

at this point acts i and ii have been posted, as have a couple short stories. i have another short story planned, which will be followed by act iii, and possibly another short story around halloween. there will be an epilogue next year at some point.

Alright folks i know I promised to upload my Vault Tec socks pattern like.... half a year ago.

I'm still (still!!! Executive dysfunction is truly a bitch) working on the formatting, especially on explaining how i do the heel because idk how useful it would be to just put 'swap to yellow without cutting blue and do a boomerang heel' in there.

Instead, i went completely into the adventure danger zone and am knitting a vault tec sweater/vest back just to check whether my fucking around with stitchfiddle was worthwhile. And because i finally learned intarsia knitting and feel unstoppable.

Something I’ll never forget, was just that first glance out into the massive skybox that was the divide, like just the atmosphere of that singular road lined with power lines leading to a city that has just been cut into, and despite that something still flashes red out in the depths of it. it still amazes me how great that looked and how little that area was explored, like don’t get me wrong I loved lonesome road just because of its world space, I loved using no clip and flying around the area to see everything, going over to the city and just walking around it like it was playable,

I mean look at this image, I’d kill just to see a playable version of this, the original lonesome road was great but all I’ve wanted since first walking through those broken bus doors was to explore that city.

I just saw a post about Dead Boy Detectives being canceled despite season 2 being completely written already.

Yet another victim of netflix and it's really getting exhausting.

But also it's really too bad hellers poisoned it with their entitled bs before I got to see it. Now just seeing it on the dash is kind of a squick, so I've been unable to watch a show I WAS interested in because of it. I'd figured I'd feel up to it in a couple years... but now if it's just one season🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Fallout/Sims 3

Lately, I've been delving back into Sims 3, giving Fallout a little bit of a break. So what do I do?

I make Fallout characters in Sims 3.

First is MacCready.

I jokingly told Mr. Weirdo that this is the Wish.com version of Mac.

His reply? "No, that the next step up, the Kmart version. Thats MacCready with a K."

He's grounded.

Next was my OC, Cassie Miller.

Sims 3 does not have hazel blue eyes like FO4, so I gave her dark blue eyes.

Her little brother, Theodore a.k.a. Teddy.

Haven't decided if I'll keep the beauty mark or not. Kinda like it, though.

And finally, the baby sister, Elena a.k.a Lanie.

Now that I'm looking at her, she looks like could be Teddy's twin. She's not though, she's four years younger. I might change her hair color or something. (Strawberry blonde?)

I'm off for the night to go play Crusader Kings 2 and conquer some more land. Have a good evening!

what if I told you I sometimes rewrite pop songs to be about Fallout protagonists for fun, what then
