Just finished my first #Smaugust2020 illustration 'Elemental Dragon' . This challenge was set by @alliebriggsart And there's daily as well as Weekly prompts through August. . . I've named this Dragon 'Santana'. He loves Moonlit swims and herbal tea. As an Elemental Dragon it's his job to help keep the balance. Controling Fire, Air, Water & Earth... but only when the need is great. The rest of the time he can be found adding to his collection of shiny things, and helping his many friends who dwell in the forest next to his Lake. . . DAY 11 #midsummernightartchallenge . Plating catch up again, just got one more drawing left for this challenge now. The challenge was set by @oliviafaust.art And @legendarylynn . The prompt for this one was 'Your Sun Sign'. I'm a June baby with a cancer sign. . I don't hold much stock in star signs and their meanings , but I do find them interesting to read up on. . Cancer is a water sign, crab. Lucky gems include ruby and pearl. Flowers orchid and white rose. Spirit colour purple. Top love matches Taurus and Pices (fun fact I married a star sign who I'm meant to be incompatible with) . Cancer are ruled by the moon and in tune with the rhythm of the earth. Midsummer Night Art Challenge (Day 1) . This morning I stumbles across #midsummernightartchallenge hosted by @legendarylynn and @oliviafaust.art I'm a couple of days late but having a catch up sesh today. . Here is my drawing for Day One . The prompt was Haunted Tea Party. I've used homemade beetroot ink for the background, and drawn the illustration with Inktense Pencils, moon water, and biro . Later I'll post Day 2's prompt 'Victorian Cottage ' and if I have time today's prompt which is 'Ornate Lantern' - Its not often that I love every prompt in these challenges but I'm looking forwards to every one! . .
