"Go for Stiles", he said with a smirk, pressing his iphone between his cheek and shoulder. 

"You know that isn't actually charming, right?", Lydia replied, fondness in her tone that Stiles had only learned how to decipher very recently. 

"You and I both now how completely charmed you are by me Ms. Martin", Stiles retorted cheekily, carefully kneading the dough in front of him with a skill level that even Lydia had been impressed by. 

He heard her scoff before cutting off the banter completely. "Listen, I had a client call- their wedding is this weekend, and the bakery that was supposed to be making their cake is clearly incompetent and was going to make a mockery of the beautiful theme I have planned out."

Stiles felt himself smiling, "and let me guess", he cut her off before she could continue "you need me to swoop in with my distinctly superior cake baking slash decorating skills and save the day like the superhero that I was meant to be?", he finished, purposefully being as smug as possible. 

"You're lucky you're good at your job, Stilinski", she quipped, trying to regain the upper hand. 

"Don't front, you love me. Send me the info and I'll see what I can do", he agreed.

He rarely ever turned Lydia down, as much as he enjoyed teasing her and pretending like he even had to consider her requests. Everyone- except for Lydia herself of course- knew that he had been crushing on her since the third grade. 

"It's already been sent", Lydia replied, adopting her signature smug tone that he still couldn't hold a candle to, despite years of practice. 

"Of course it has", Stiles huffed out a breathy laugh, shaking his head. 

"And Stiles?"

"Yes, Lydia?"

"This wedding I actually have to go to, as a guest, not just a wedding planner", Lydia explained. 

"Oh? should be fun", Stiles remarked, not entirely sure what he was supposed to say. 

"Good, I'm glad you think so. Don't make any plans for the 14th and make sure that suit you wore to Laura's wedding is dusted off and presentable."

"Isn't the 14th the day of the wedding? I don't recall actually knowing this couple- or receiving an invitation", Stiles replied, scrunching his face in confusion, shifting his weight to flatten the dough. 

"Well obviously you're going with me. I can't show up to this thing dateless", Lydia replied in a tone that implied this was all obvious- which what.

"You actually want to be seen with me? in public?", Stiles asked, shock and disbelief clear as day in his voice. 

"Who else would I want to be seen with? Just, be ready. I'll be coming over early to make sure our outfits are coordinated. I have a meeting with a client to get to. See you Saturday."

Stiles may or may not have done a victory fist pump behind the counter of the empty shop when she hung up.

Who’s the messiest one: It's Stiles without a doubt let's be real here.

Who feels the most uncomfortable about PDA: Probably Stiles, but it's mainly just cause of shock factor that Lydia fucking Martin is kissing him. In public. Cause she wants to. And she initiated it.

Who’s the funniest drunk: Stiles definitely

Who texts the most: Lydia by far. She knows a lot of people and communicates with them all the time, texting is the easiest way to go about it

Who has the most embarrassing taste in music: Probably Stiles, Lydia's music taste is probably as great and tasteful as her fashion sense

Who reads the most: Oh god Lydia. You don't get a 5.0 GPA on luck alone.

Who’s better with kids: I feel like they'd both be better in different cases. Lydia's probably researched as much baby info as she can. She knows everything about everything when it comes to caring for a baby. Stiles maybe skimmed one article, but for the most part, he just wings it. Somehow they both just...work

Who’s the one that fixes things around the house: I can totally see Stiles trying to fix things himself and Lydia's yelling at him to just read the instructions. He insists he doesn't need them. He ends up making it even worse

Who’s got the weirdest hobby: Probably Stiles. Besides, even if Lydia did have a weird hobby, Stiles would probably be in awe of it.

Who cooks and who cleans up: Oh they definitely do both together think about how cute that would be.
