Day 9: "You're not going to like this."
Protecting her took precedence over her trust.
Rating: T || Genre: Hurt/Comfort, Whump || Words: 1600 || Summary: When Rumplestiltskin finds Belle sleepwalking toward a deadly fall, his instincts and magic save her—and damn him to fall for her even more. But love complicates duty, creating a choice: keep her safe or keep her trust.

Good evening Felix, I was intrigued by Lily's inquiry and your stories about your relationship with dancing. I was always led to believe that there are certain... dangers to dancing in Sweden.
(not for the faint of heart, at any rate) Kind regards, Ada
Dear Ada,
I must admit, your mention of the dangers associated with dancing in Sweden brought a smile to my face. I do enjoy the polska a lot, but more often than not, I find myself getting the steps wrong. My two left feet have been known to cause a collision or two in the past, much to the amusement (and sometimes dismay) of my partners. So yes, there are certainly perils involved.
It’s all in good fun, even if it does leave a few bruises now and then.
However, I believe that all forms of dancing come with their own risks. The potential for stepping on toes or making missteps is always high. But despite the occasional mishap, I would never shy away from trying.
Do you enjoy dancing, Ada?
Vi ses!
Felix

🎶✨️when you get this, put 5 songs you actually listen to, then publish. Send this ask to 10 of your favorite followers (non-negotiable, positivity is cool)🎶✨️
Dang only 5?
Ok
Clair de Lune by Claude Debussy- I am absolutely in love with this song and it's a problem. I've started trying to learn it on piano and let me tell you it is HARD but so pretty and worth it. I generally listen to this one at night when I'm getting ready for bed or when it's wet and cold. There's also and orchestra arrangement of it by Guy Farley from Silver Skates (2020) that I also love which gives it a romantic spin and holy heck it is heaven
I Wish I Had a Hundred Years by Fernando Velázquez (from the movie A Monster Calls) - I genuinely can't remember how I found this piece but it's absolutely gorgeous. It's melancholic yet hopeful yet bittersweet and it's everything mixed into one. I love it so much. It's very calming and orchestral and it makes me feel things. I often use it when writing my book cause that's the vibe of my book
Muuskia by Pärt Uusburg- I'm doing this one with my choir at school but it is the most amazing piece of choral music. If you Google the translation it's even better and UGH ITS SO GOOOOOOOOOD the Baltic in me adores this (it adores Anoj Pusèj Dunojèlio better because it's Lithuanian. I cried when I listened to it in my aunt's traditional Lithuanian dress and felt a heartbreaking longing for home)
Beginning of the End Movement by The Newton Brothers (from the Haunting of Bly Manor)- again, I have never seen this movie but this piece is so beautifully sad and I use it a lot when I'm writing too because it's a quiet, longing sadness not an angry violent one that makes you sob
Turnadot/ Act 3: "Nessun Dorma" by Giacomo Puccini and the BBC Concert Orchestra- this is actually an orchestral arrangement of one of the most epic opera pieces ever and hooooooooooly it's so good. I love this one more that the opera because I love hearing all the different parts of the orchestra. It's so epic and dramatic and it genuinely sounds like something out of a movie. So good honestly. The end with the timpani- *chefs kiss*
HONOURABLE MENTIONS:
The Blue Danube Waltz- Strauss
A World to the Wise- Giacchino
North and South Title Theme- L'Orchestra Numerique
The English Affair- Howard Harper- Barnes
The Thief- Howard Shore (from Hugo)
Because I'm too lazy to copy and send I'm tagging (no pressure you don't have to):
