Hello. I was curious if you have seen a certain video by finn.exehasstarted called: "The Curtains were Fucking Blue": Thought Terminating Cliches, Anti-Intellectualism, and Propaganda.
I feel this is a **Very** important video to spread awareness of as it covers the heart of most of our issues in modern day.
I have never even heard of it

I didn't know people were using "Let people enjoy things!" for anti-intellectualism. Ugh. Terrible. "Let people enjoy things" shouldn't be used to shut up critical thinking and analysis. It should be used to stop harassment and bullying behavior in fandoms.
When I say "Let people enjoy things", I mean, don't go into fan spaces for a specific thing, just to dump on it, harass its fans, and tell people they're bad for enjoying a thing.
Some people are even fully aware that a character or storyline is problematic, and Thought Experiments like fictional stories, are the perfect, safest place to explore dark subjects. It doesn't necessarily mean they fully advocate them as the ideal, just because they're fans of what a disaster a character/storyline is. But exploring dark themes is valuable, even if you don't advocate for them to become reality. Understanding the dark stuff is valuable, especially for combating it in real life.
Anyway, this is my reminder to check out https://www.youtube.com/@finn.exehasstarted when they get that video essay done, about anti-intellectualism in the uses of "sometimes the curtains are just blue" and "let people enjoy things".

finn.exehasstarted is a new and very small trans man YouTuber who could do with some support! He only has a few video essays out right now, but he also makes some great short form content on Instagram and TikTok about transphobia/transandrophobia and other social issues.
Does anyone have any transmasc youtuber recommendations?
Not interested in political channels (unless those political issues relate to the main body of work, I.E I am not interested in youtubers covering legislation in the USA, but I am interested in say, channels that talk about movies and the politics interwoven therein) but otherwise I'm open to most topics, gaming, film, books, ARGs, horror media especially.
It's really really really easy to find Transfem youtubers (I am following multiple) but I have never seen a transmasc youtuber get boosted/traction/recommendations in my life and I'd like to actually like, see some

CopsHateMoe hasn’t really uploaded for a while, but they’re non-binary (they/them) and used to make really great video essays. Their videos on transmedicalism and Kalvin Garrah really helped bring to light a lot of the problems within the transmasc community and the harm caused towards non-binary people that we’re still unpacking. I genuinely think their video helped to prompt a major shift towards inclusivity, but unfortunately people are starting to forget it and transmedicalism seems to be on the rise again. Their videos are therefore essential viewing in my opinion.
VerilyBitchie is a bisexual trans woman who makes videos on all sorts of topics, ranging from Doctor Who to bisexuality. Her video “Doctor Who vs Women” is one of the best videos I’ve ever watched.
Kat Blaque is still underrated so I’m gonna recommend her every chance I get. She makes a lot of commentary videos from the perspective of being a Black trans woman, and a lot of her short form content on Instagram and TikTok discuss a wide range of issues facing all kinds of trans people.
Finn.exehasstarted is an up and coming transmasc YouTuber (he/they) who also makes a lot of short form content discussing transandrophobia. He doesn’t use that term specifically because I don’t think the term has really breached containment outside of tumblr yet, but it’s refreshing to watch content from a trans guy specifically talking about his experiences.
it shouldnt be difficult to find youtubers who dont hate nonbinary folks and trans men but apparently its literally impossible for queer youtubers to have basic respect for demographics they arent a part of.
