Hi there! Some of us actually do keep track of what characters have asks and how many!

It's really helpful for if someone misses an ask while reading the inbox, It's not uncommon for Me and probably other mods to wake up to about 53 asks in the inbox, so keeping track of it is super helpful!

I think the first story you write as a little kid reflects who you are at your core. The first story I wrote was two pages long, front and back, in neon pink comic sans-type font on my family’s living room computer. It was about a girl and a boy falling in love and she introduced him to all her friends because she loved him so much. That was it. I’m not sure who I am in that story, whether I’m the boyfriend, the girlfriend or the friends in general. Either way, I was excited to share it.

#text post #writing #I wouldn’t be able to find this no matter what #it was on one of those chunky computers where you plugged the mouse in by a wire to the back of it #but I’ll always remember the story and putting it in my moms hands #she didn’t read it but that’s a tragedy for another day #and I’m trying to put what I mean into words #and not to romanticise it but #when you write or draw or sing you put a piece of you out there #and you want the world to know that’s YOUR piece it gets to see #so you usually choose something that reflects who you are #which I think is why there’s so many romance and fantasy stories about right now #a lot of us want an escape and those are usually safe genres to run too #but like not saying horror or adventure or mystery isn’t good #they just reflect different facets #like choosing horror means the see the soft beneath the grotesque #or you’re enamoured by the otherworldly #whilst maybe mystery means you’re inquisitive and you’re eager to uncover #and I’d like to think choosing romance means you have a lot of love to give #anyways as a kid you’re gonna choose the first thing that reminds you of yourself #whether it be romance or horror or adventure or fantasy #either way it’s you #yall can ignore this I never do this o just saw a text post and got emotional #it was the one about the stray cats kids that turn into humans every full moon and try to solve murders #it’s by filmnoirsbian #I got emotional thinking what the first story I ever wrote was lmao

#song of the day #I'll talk about yesterday's song in a second TODAY'S SONG!! so much fun oh man #I spent many hours of today dredging the last five-ish years of angry lady country music and it was so rewarding #'now the house is up in flames his clothes are on the lawn #thought she was fragile like a flower but she's fragile like a bomb / yeah he set her off'#doesn't that absolutely fuckin slap. I love that. /and/ it's bright and fast and hella fun to sing. a true delight #anyhow I missed Friday because well I missed Friday! once again dreamt through the entire logistics of attending one of my sleep token shows. what is wrong with me

#the first dream about this was a 'practice' show before the real thing #but everyone in the crowd plus the band were there?? and i couldn't see at all #until one point vessel climbed up a wall like some spider creature thing #quite creepy actually #eventually i got a good spot but we weren't allowed to stay still and the band wasn't playing anything. then i woke up #and this time #i think this was merged with the rhrn plans because i was off to the show after arriving to stay with my parents #but somehow forgot it was on so left all my clothes at uni... couldn't wear the planned outfit and instead had a shirt from my #uni department #which says 'electronics and computer science'#embarrassing. anyway. woke up at 5pm? couldn't find the entrance?? and the venue was really strange #i was just stressed i wasn't wearing my fun outfit and i'd also left my makeup at uni so #no logo on my face as was the plan #and then on walking into the doors i realised omg i've never heard ascensionism #and was thinking maybe it's good to hear it live as my first listen #but maybe they'd think i was a fake fan if i couldn't sing along #and i was already wearing a shirt that said not sleep token but electronics and computer science...#woke up just as we all went in and for some reason everyone was holding hands #anyway #dreaming about it has made me somewhat less stressed about the real thing #because regardless of what happens i'll never forget my outfit and i will listen to ascensionism skhjdbcj

I am once again being insane about songwriting.

It's weird doing it without having a band to go to, like it seems kinda pointless. I used to just do chords/melody/lyrics/vibe and let them figure out their stuff so it was fun for them to play as well.

I MIGHT post them bc honestly, I just want people to hear them, even if it's just in their awful AWFUL noteflight instrument sounds form. They came out a BIT poppier than I intended but I'm still obsessive over them so.
