In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, a glitch occurs with the Chain Chomp's animation if Mario defeats it by touching it while invincible, but then finishes pounding its stake into the ground very quickly afterward.
The Chain Chomp's "die from a star" animation will be interrupted by the "set free" animation, causing the Chain Chomp to briefly jump while facing backwards, as seen in the footage.

Gristlebeat, of warm blood and living tissue 🫀🩸
In the dark of the cavern, it was near silent if not for that steady, rhythmic beating. It came from somewhere deep within the cave, behind lichen crusted rocks, tucked within the atrium of stone. The noise echoed through tunnels that wound deep into the earth like writhing veins, tangled arteries clogged by cobweb and stalactite. Standing at the mouth of the cavern, it felt like you were about to be swallowed whole.

Bladepipes, of decorated skin and warrior’s song 🎶⛰️
A shrill cry sounds across the hills, a piercing melody surrounded by the rhythmic marching of feet. Leading the charge, boots crushing thistle underfoot, is the piper. In his arms he holds his weapon, its cries hauntingly beautiful, its blade sharp and ready. In front of them the moor stretches outwards to the horizon, washed out purple and green glistening in fresh dew, a brisk wind rushing beneath the heather. The piper takes a deep breath of the crisp morning air, turning it through his pipes into his song. Steady, surely, the precession trudges onward. A hundred blades in their sheaths listen to the solemn melody of the pipes that slowly marches them to war.
The pipes the pipes are caaalling
