It had been a couple of months since Isaac and Edward had an incident at a party edward threw. They weren't on speaking terms, more like edward was acting way more strange than usual and isaac wasn't going to bring this change up to him because he just assumed it was part of Edwards behavior. These thoughts ran through isaac's head as he unlocked his locker to grab a history book he should have in his bag but he prefers having more important things in his bag rather than school work. "Heyyy Isaac " a small figure said as they closed isaac's locker. "Drew.." Isaac started but couldn't finish over drew talking "So there's this new kid in our class and he kind of reminded me of you and-" Isaac responded with a hum of agreement as the rest of Drews talking became faded and his eyes attention focused on a figure walking on the opposite end of the hall. He noticed it was a familar face, it was Edward. Him and Edward made eye contact for an portion of a second before Edward sped up his walking. Isaac thought "strange" but didn't care enough to continue on that thought.

The end of the day came soon and drew and him were suppose to walk home together, drew wanted to make it a regular thing for some reason. Isaac waited awhile before getting a message from Drew, reading: " Nevin fell outside on the icy sidewalk and got injured so I took him home sorryy see you tomorrow " Isaac reacted to Drew's message with a thumbs up and walked home alone. Isaac gave a flat expression when he realized who his attacker was, Edward. Isaac did not regret his actions even if he knew Edward. "You deserve that who creeps on someone like that" Isaac said annoyed."WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!!" Edward yelled on his knees, trying not to rub his eyes. "self defense" Isaac said as he yanked Edward up and pulled him, walking with him. "Where are you taking me? " Edward questioned. Isaac didn't reply to his question. Edward couldn't see anything obviously with eyes closed but he could feel them walking on the sidewalk. Then he felt Isaac set him down on his knees on grass. Before Edward could even process where he was, Isaac had already turned on the hose and sprayed at Edward. " YOU FUCKIN- " his complaints getting cut off by Isaac spraying at him. "What?" He said chocking out a laugh, pretending to act like he didn't hear Edward. Finally after what felt like forever Isaac turned off the water to reveal a very angry and soaked Edward. " Is it out of you're eyes yet?" Isaac asked unempathically. Before Edward replied he looked at his surroundings to see they we're outside of Isaac's apartment complex. Finally he replied with "Shut up", he attempted to walk towards Isaac." Hey keep your distance" Isaac said threatening his pepper spray. He knew Edward would not let him go after watering him down the way he did. Edward backed away a bit " alright whatever just stop pointing that at me" Isaac put his pepper spray down but didn't put it away in case. "Now what do you want" Isaac asked crossing his arms. Edward got a bit uncomfortable and put his hand on the back of his neck " could we talk somewhere more private?" He asked nervously. Isaac raised an eyebrow "sure, if you try anything you are getting the pepper spray out of your own eyes" he said flaty. "Whatever" Edward replied. Isaac wasn't very trusting so he let Edward led to where they would privately talk.

Edward led them to a near by park. Edward sat on a bench while Isaac stood at a safe distance. Edward sat their quietly for a couple of minutes before Isaac asked " soo???" " What are we? " Edward asked nervously looking down at ground. "I don't know what do you think?" Isaac asked in a mellow tone voice. " Well after we kissed I thought that uhh um I don't FUCKIN KNOW" he yelled in frustration, his hands on his head still staring at the ground. Isaac didn't say anything and continued to let Edward let out the frustration. After awhile he asked " do you like me or something um." Do you like me?" Isaac replied. " WHY DO YOU KEEP REPLYING TO MY QUESTIONS WITH A QUESTION!??" he yelled annoyed. Isaac didn't reply and Edward ended up blurting out"GODDAMNIT OKAYIDOCOULDYOUJUSTGIVEANACTUALRESPONSE!!Isaac replied to that by grabbing Edwards chin and signaling with his eyes to Edwards mouth. Edward was so red he hummed a yes. Isaac gave him a long peck before giving him a flat expression. "I assume that we both understand?" Isaac said, his hand still on Edwards chin. Edward hummed another yes and with that Isaac gave him another peck. They both stood there for awhile, still pecking, eventually rain poured in and they both ran to Isaacs apartment for cover.

Isaac definitely tripped Edward a couple of times on the way there but Edward was way too cold to notice it. Isaac threw a towel over Edwards head and edward dried his hair with it. "Jeez are you always going to be like this even in a relationship?" Edward said sarcastically. Isaac replied to that by grab the ends of the towel and pulling them towards himself and hushing Edward. Edward stayed so still because of how new this was all to him. Isaac leaned into Edward mouth but at the last second pulling down the towel on Edward and laughing. "SERIOUSLY ISAAC!???" Edward yelled in embarrassment. " Pff I'm not kissing you, you're wet!" He said. " Also has anyone told you that you look like a wet dog?" He said snickering. " FIRST you are wet too! Second, UGH, SHUT UP THATS SO IRRELEVANT!!" Edward yelled.

"You're just mad because I won't kiss you " Isaac said drying his hair with another towel. " Just shut up" Edward said pushing Isaac.

Once they both finally dried up they laid on Isaacs bed staring at the ceiling. " So are we really going to this?" Edward asked. " You ask to many questions" Isaac said yawing and closing his eyes. Edward was only left with his thoughts. His thoughts turned from questions on how him and Isaac would work to, if he was sure? Was Isaac the one? He shook his head before the questions grew. He turned his head to look at Isaac who was napping. Maybe it was okay, maybe Isaac and him would be okay. This wasn't so bad as he initially thought so it must be a sign of things turning for the good. It was okay. He was okay. Edward turned his head back to the ceiling and fell asleep but the feeling of doubt didn't fade and this same feeling would his enemy until there was no more of him left.

Runaway Bus (end)

After Logan gives everyone a mini scare with his outburst, the teacher leads the kids to her classroom. Jay follows at a distance, keeping a decent gap so he’s not too close. He notices that some of the kids still seem nervous around him. The classroom is spacious, with a large rug where the teacher tells the kids to sit.

Jay never been in an actual classroom, so he’s quietly looks around as he makes his way to the back of the class.He takes his phone out of the pocket in his smoke bomb pouch and starts texting Ethan and Makalo to check what’s happening outside. For all jay knew he was stuck in here with a bunch of children.

Jay:”Guys I’m at this elementary school with a class. The wasps got us surrounded so I’m stuck in here. What’s going on outside?”

Ethan:”Police are still trying to get a foothold on the situation. Makalo is freaking out💀”

Jay:”I figured. Just stay inside and you’ll be safe. But I could use some help. Is your drone fixed yet?”

Ethan:”Nope, the lights and camera are still busted. You need it?”

Jay:”yea, I think it can be used as bait. They seem to lock onto me really quick when my powers where active, so maybe lights can help.”

Ethan:”That’s probably due to color. Fun fact wasp are attracted to bright colors like yellow and red. Light also catches their attention to.

Jay blinked flaty when Ethan started sending him more bug facts. Sighing he texted to hopefully stunt the lecture.

Jay:”I get it man you know your stuff. Can you get that drone back in the air again?”

Ethan:”Sorry😅. Give me some time and I think I can do it. Also I think military is possible being called here to help fight. Not sure if it’s official though, but Makalo saw a tweet about it.”

Jay:”ok. Keep me updated please.”

Pocketing his phone Jay ran a hand through his hair and took a deep breath. He was getting anxious and the thought of the military coming made his heart beat faster. 

*Relax you aren’t there anymore…*

Sitting down in front of some cubbies Jay moved to be in a crisscross position and he closed his eyes. Taking some control breaths he slipped into meditation as the sounds around him drifted to nothingness.

In front of the classroom the teacher frantically tries to handle the waves of worried and scared parents. Shakily the teacher tries to maintain her composure. She had her own family to worry about and need space to think without the whispers of her students and the panicked voices of the parents. Glancing to the silent vigilante in the back of the room, she picked up her phone and stepped out the classroom.

Now alone the children fidgets and whispers in hides tones as their little faces turned towards the man shrouded in lightning. Small golden sparks floated around his head and lazily around his body. Logan watched him intently, beanie clutched in his hands. He had to talk to him, the man in front of him was a real life super hero, who knows if he’ll get this chance agian. With a determined gaze, Logan tugged his beanie back on and got to his feet and tip toed his way toward the masked man.

The class war he’d with a mixture of curiosity and fear. Some even went out their way to loudly whisper Logan to come back. Others whispered to try and guess what the man was doing. “Why was he glowing?” “Was he alseep?” Logan heard everything as he got closer, but his nerves got even worse the closer he got.

Logan: ‘ Come on Logan your 8 now….your not a baby anymore…just keep going.’

Reaching out a hand to touch Jay's shoulder Logan felt little sparks dance past his fingers. But with only a few more inches left to reach he pulls his hand back

Logan:*I CANT DO THIS!!!*

Chickening out at the last second, Logan pulls his beanie over his face to cover his embarrassment. His face going rosy while he’s ear go bright red.But what he didn’t know Jay was staring at him with a confused expression on his face.

Finally building up the courage to try again Logan pulls his beanie off his face and looks up to see golden eyes.Screaming, Logan tripped over his own feet. Falling backwards Logan went to brace his self before a hand grab his arm.

Jay catches him before he hit the floor and releases him after Logan regains his balance. Feeling his face heat up again Logan pulls his beanie back over his face. Tilting his head Jay asked…

Jay: “Are you okay?”

Jay was genuinely confused, he has never seen anyone react to him this way before. The only kid he has been around the most is Kalea and she never did this before. Then again kalea was only five years old… Eventually Logan stammered out..

Logan: “Yeah….i-its just….really cool to…m-meet you.”

Peaking from under his beanie Logan looked down at his shoes. Feeling extremely shy now that he actually talked to his hero. Taking a deep breath Logan looks up again.

Logan: “What were you doing….just now? Were you sleeping?”

Hearing the curiosity in his voice and finding the question slightly funny Jay answered him in his usual calm manner.

Jay: “No, I wasn’t sleeping just…Focusing.”

Relaxing a little, Logan lets go of his beanie and watches Jay holds up a hand as lightning sparked around his fingertips. With a gasp Logan’s eyes widened as the sparks cracked and popped like little fireworks, he could feel the engery causing some his his hair to stand with static.

Logan:”Thats so cool!”

Reaching out, he grabbed Jay's hand while lightning started to vibrate around his as the sparks glowed and faded. No shocked followed like he thought it would. The sparks where harmless.Letting go Logan excitedly asks with a hopeful expression.

Logan: “Can I show you my Journal?”

Jay: “Sure.”

Nodding, Logan ran to the rug, grabbed his backpack and hurried back to the vigilante. 

Opening his bag he sat beside Jay and pulled out his journal he started showing Jay the sketches and drawings he made of him.As he flipped through the multiple pages filled with him fighting bad guys. A little taken about, but impressed by the boys art, Jay leaned forward to see more.

Jay: “You're really good at drawing.”

Logan: “Really? Thanks!”

Feeling elated that his hero enjoys his art, Logan gave nah the sketchbook to look through ow his own. Grinning he glanced at his classmates he sees all of them staring at them with curiosity. Looking back up at Jay who is still looking at the sketches Logan asked him if they can go to the rug with his classmates. Jay wasn’t fond of the suggestion and preferred not to be crowded around a bunch of kids, but Jay caved once he saw the look on Logan’s face, he didn’t want to upset him.

Smiling, Logan took him to his classmates and had Jay show off his powers.Doing something similar to what he did to calm Kalea down Jay met his powers float and surge around the room. Golden sparks fell like misty rain as it fell from the ceiling.The room glowed with soft golden light as the sparks gave off a soft warm vibration every time they landed on someone

And with that, the kids started to warm up to Jay and started asking him questions.

Some questions were about his power, where was he from, and how he get powers and others were kinda random. Being the responsible adult he was he obviously lied about some of his anwsers.

The questions were never ending and the kids started getting too comfortable around his presence.Some of the kids started to sit beside him, hug his arms, and show him how they can fight like him by trying to copy his fighting style and one girl kept playing with his hair. In thag moment Jay sympathized for parents all over the world. Through it all,Logan made sure he was right beside him and he had his hand to watch the sparks glow.

Logan: “Hey I forgot to ask you what your name was.”

Pausing briefly, Jay is reminded of Makalo convincing him to pick a “hero name.” The idea seemed a bit odd to jay since he never saw his self as a hero. But after him, Makalo and Ethan did a bit of searching and brainstorming they came across one jay connected with immediately. The name that meant,”Ray of light.” The saying from one of the few members he had left of his parents, his mom always compared him to a light in the dark…

Jay:” My name is Kiran.”

Logan:”Ooo you have a really cool name! I wish my name was cool.”

Jay:”Really? So what is it?”

Logan:”My name is Logan, Logan kim.”

Jay nods and reassured Logan his name was cool, but Jay couldn’t help the sense of familiarity to the kids last name.

Feeling his phone vibrate, Jay carefully removed the clinging kids off him as he walks to the back of the room to check his phone. Leaning his back against the wall he opens the text.

Ethan: “The drone is ready.”

Jay: “Ok send it out and draw in as many wasp’s as possible. I got the rest from here.

Makalo: Will spray paint helo?👀”

Jay:”Yeah as long as the color is bright.”

Putting his phone away Jay plans a small strategy he could use when he goes out to fight again. But he lost his train of thought when he looks down to see Logan. The kid was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and his beanie was gone too. The kid was copying him.

Logan: “What are you doing?”

Jay: “Nothing worth mentioning..”

Logan didn’t say anything, but he kept looking at him. Not sure why the kid was staring Jay started walking to the door but he can hear Logan walking behind him.

Jay: *Why is he following me?*

The door open the teacher walked in looking stressed holding a dead phone in her hands. Biting her lip she asked a bit frantically.

Teacher: “Has anyone seen my charger?

I need to call my husband.”

All the kids shook their heads and the teacher's composure started to leave her as she started frantically searching her desk.

Feeling bad for her Jay walks over to her and grabs her phone sending a quick shock. The phone dinged at 100%. A but stunned she nods stiffly.

Teacher: “Oh… Thank you.”

Nodding his head Jay heads for the door. Jay knew he-

Kai: “Kiran where are you two going?”

Jay:*Two?*

Turning around Jay sees Logan behind him. Crossing his arms Jay looks at him and Logan does the same. Not sure what to do with him Jay picked him up and put him by the teacher and started walking back to the door.

Logan: “Hey! where are you going?”

Jay: “To get rid of the wasps..”

Logan: “Can I come?”

Jay: “No you can’t it’s not safe.”

Pausing Logan looked down, his expression a bit hurt as his eyes grew teary. Too busy trying to keep his composure, Logan blinked when he felt a hand on his head. Lifting his head up, he see Kiran.

Jay: “Don’t be upset I need you to protect your class. Can you do that for me?”

Feeling himself getting excited about having his own little “mission “ Logan excitedly nods his head.

Logan:”Ok! I’ll protect everyone!”

Glad to see him not upset anymore Jay ruffled his hair and sped out of the classroom. Running into the city Jay finds Ethan’s drone in the air trying to avoid the swarm of wasps. Charging up his power into his palm Jay sends it flying at the hoard of wasps. Scorching a good chunk of them as they drop to the ground. The rest of the hoard turned toward him and started flying towards him. Flashing his power to shine brighter Jay takes off. 

The plan he formed was to charge as much power as possible and send it back to the wasps,but they made it very difficult. Running through some alleys to gain some ground the wasps started diving at him at different angles while swiping their blades at him. Jay was dodged and sent back attacks of his own,but one wasp swiped at his legs tripping him at max speed and sending him crashing into a wall.

Wincing, Jay felt something wet on his face, he wipes it with his hand and is met with red. Standing up his left leg burned with the long cut the wasp created. The wasps still hover above him with a low hiss coming from their open mouths. 

“They are very persistent.” He mumbled under his breath. 

Jumping into the air and landing on a building Jay started to focus his power to go into his right arm. The wasps flew towards him and he jumped down to meet them .While falling Jay pulled back his right arm and clenched his fist as tight as possible.Landing on top of a wasp he sends them both to the ground and with a quick inhale Jay punched right through the wasp and into the concrete.

A loud crack rang throughout the city as the ground split open as lightning shot out into the air stabbing every single wasp as they fell to the ground like a ton of bricks.

Breathing hard from the exertion Jay looks around to see scorched wasps falling. Pulling his hand out of the ground he felt pain shoot up the limb. Cradling it close to his chest,Jay leaves before the police show up. The only race of his prescence was the electric burns on the wasps bodies.

(At the house an hour later)

On the couch, Jay was telling Makalo and Ethan what happened with the wasps. Ethan was checking to make sure he didn’t break his arm. Makalo on the other hand pride more details about the fight.

Makalo: “YOU PUNCHED THROUGH CONCRETE!!!”

Jay: “I wasn’t trying to,but yeah I did.”

Ethan: “Well luckily your arm isn't broken,

but it might be sprained. We are going to have to get you a sling when this whole situation dies down.“

On tv the news was talking about the wasp situation, but then this little kid came on the screen. Jay eyes widened.

Jay: “Logan?”

Makalo: “Who’s Logan?”

Jay: “He is one of the kids I saved on the bus earlier today.”

The screen showed the reporter crouch down the Logan’s level. Pointing the mic towards him she asked..

Reporter: “So you have met the Man in lightning? Care to tell the world what he’s like?”

Logan:”Yep! His name is Kiran and he is the coolest person ever!”

Reporter: “Really? Anything else?”

Logan: Uh...oh, he saved me and my class from the wasps today.”

Coming back from the kitchen Ethan hands Jay an ice pack and looks at the tv with a faint smirk.

Ethan: “Hey, looks like you have a super fan.”
