I love when characters are always drawn in lab coats even outside the lab because it implies that 1) they are either constantly violating lab safety rules or 2) they have a second, casual lab coat purely for external use

As you know, I've been lowkey aardman-pilled, just consuming every movie and short I can get my hands on lately! Well, I've been talking about a self insert oc idea with my partner and today I finally had the energy to sketch some stuff! (divider cred @/saradika-graphics)

After the events of A Matter of Loaf and Death, we don't really see Fluffles again unfortunately so I thought, what if she decided to go up for adoption again? Obviously she was very traumatized by Piella, and I think after some encouragement she'd be able to open herself up to being owned again eventually! I guess you could say she's a rescue, and through patience and love she eventually begins to heal!

I'm thinking the catch is that she's adopted by someone who lives far away, so Gromit has to let her go in order for her to heal. They still keep in touch through letters, though! And one day he gets a letter saying that Fluffles and her human are gonna be moving in on Wallaby street soon! She's a gentle artist, she moved to England from America to paint landscapes and such and she's a very kind and kinda goofy older lady. Definitely a great dog mom to Fluffles!

Sonas are mostly my name/versions of my name. Jackie is named Jackie because I was obsessed with Jack the Ripper when I first created her (also same reason why they wear a top hat)

All Sgrubgone characters fit their theme, canonically the first sounds their lusii made of course

Midnight sounds cool and fits a vampire, probably the time they were born

Velvet Sunset fits a pegasus and her colors match her name

Max is gender neutral and follows Descendants naming conventions

Volta Pagliaccio: Volta sounds cool and pagliaccio because clown... fish lmao

Why is your OC named what they're named? Is there a different reason in-universe than out-of-universe?

A re-imagining of the popular MLP OC Fluffle Puff for my AU. I don't have a problem with the character herself. The problem with her is that her creator last year came out as a p*do who groomed minors so he does NOT deserve to be associated with a wholesome character. Several bronies I know have collectively decided to steal Fluffle Puff as their own re-imagined/redesigned OC instead so I got inspired to do the same

So my version of Fluffle Puff is named Powder Puff. She’s a subspecies of very fluffy earth ponies akin to sheep or angora rabbits or something (maybe they live in cold climates and their fur keeps them warm, idk). She's just about the same as the original Fluffle Puff in terms of her friendly unpredictable personality and voicelessness

The changeling is an old OC of mine from 2022 named Melano (taken from Drosophila Melanogaster, the scientific name for fruit flies). Since Fluffle Puff was in love with Queen Chrysalis I gave her a close relationship (romantic or platonic I haven't decided) with a different Changeling. Melano is a reformed Changeling who was unable to metamorphize due to a magic defect. Luckily she's still accepted by Thorax and the rest of the hive just fine, and by Powder Puff most of all

Wonder if I should redesign Fluffle Puff's sister Marscaline from her lore someday as well, that might be a little hard to do
