saw this fun little template by txtdarioc on twitter and tried it out with flustercringe...and I ended up drawing more of swap!disgust than i originally thought DSKJFHDS sorry i love failgirls <3 and she gets to wife up a mean guy like can you imagine

Under the cut are some thoughts on the personality swap, while still keeping their emotion roles intact:

Disgust is like very meek and she tends to make her own adjustments when she's uncomfortable, i.e., wearing clothes and gloves to cover her skin instead of telling people not to touch her, stuff like that...it's also a part of the social aspect of disgust, how she hates bothering people about her discomforts. she still has a good sense of style but tends to not draw too much attention to herself

mean emby.......he is so meannnn :broken_heart: he judges people a lot especially when they make him feel second hand embarrassment KDSJFH he's also a looot more dependent on social standards than sticking to his own standards, so his gauge of what is and isnt embarrassing tends to fluctuate. His sense of style also varies depending on trends but he's got those Layerrrssss because he's still hidiiing somethiiingggg more genuiineee

🤍Anticipation

This girly is inspired by classic spooky family, the Adams, specifically Morticia. She also takes the diamond shape inspo from a French magical girl show, Lolirock, and her colors from white diamond from SU! Unintentional inspo there, but I guess it was subconscious XD

She's the most emotionally mature of the fankids, taking the lead most of the time, anticipating the days work, and genuinely enjoying every moment as it's happening. She likes horror and thrills, and will go out of her way to push herself outside her comfort zone. She's an older sister figure to pretty much everyone and is friendly with all of them. She particularly likes teasing Rory and Ambivalence since they are older and mature enough not to get too upset XD

💚Cringe

Cringe is so silly fr XD He's supposed to be this Cringe 8 y/o who thinks they're so cool and ontop of everything and that all the adults are like- cringe- XD but he himself is ALSO CRINGY XD becuz he's so young and doesn't actually know about a lot, but acts with so much confidence lol He's very judgemental and rude towards everyone, but he will act decent if you don't do anything "cringe". If you do, prepare for ridicule.

His design is honestly just a kid in a clover shape- that was all XD I found myself inspired by the colors of some object show fanart, because I found them to be cringe in an endearing way ^^ /pos

HI GENE the disgust and emby art you just posted. it just made me remember how in the beginning of the second movie before the new emotions showed up, all the memories that had to do with "embarrassing" stuff were driven by disgust (i'm specifically thinking of like. one memory joy mentions where riley accidentally waved at someone she thought was waving at her LOL. and another where she walks into a glass door.)!! LIKEEE i see it. just know i see it.....

YYYES YESYES EXACTLY !!! iirc disgust was also the one that pointed out that riley's classmates started talking about her when she cried in the first movie as well...so yeas absolutely!! they do have a lot of overlap in the social awareness area it's so fun to think aboute....... and they manage to cover like, different aspects of it especially through their personalities AUGHH they're so silly. I would love to explore more of their dynamic like that. Thnak you for seeing my vision

If I have to be totally honest they've been rotating in my mind for QUITE a bit. I'm only now truly exploring their potential. Because you know what. They kinda cute as well.

Over the last few. days. Weeks? I've just been brewing something self-indulgent in my head. It's... probably not THE most indulgent thing I've done, but making a flustercringe-centric AU is probably up there. Beauty and the Beast where Disgust gets to be the Beast scratches an itch in my brain. Hope you enjoy my blurbs here.

Finding for beastgust colors... I'm good with the body/details, im just not super set on the colors yet... Though you can expect a lot of the sketchy-fairytale illustration style for this au.
