hello! i love passing games around :)

i'll have to go off what other people have told me for this lol. my posing and linework tend to get a lot of comments. i'm always focused on motion when i sketch when i do illustrations, i definitely feel like my heavy use of textures and bright effects sets me apart. glowing stuff is so fun!

...POSES!! Ohhh my gosh, Seldom, your poses are so good! Ngl, when I sit down to do warm up sketches, I sometimes pull up your art to get the gears in my head turning. There's such a fluidity to your figures that is very actionable. There's also a certain amount of squishiness to the way you draw Sonic and co. that I adore. Especially in their faces and hands. It's very cartoon-y and dynamic! You draw Shadow especially well in the quills which I, personally, find tricky to do.

Your stuff is seriously art goals, Seldom! Keep being awesome <3

REALLY cool Shadow x Frontiers comic from the makers of the Sonic Boom! Revisited comic!

Sonic Mini-Comic: "Shadow Generations: Chaos Island"

After about three weeks it's finally done! A short portfolio piece! Any of you who've been following me long enough know that the prospect of Sonic and Shadow meeting on Chaos Island intrigued me. Finally put words into story. I hope you enjoy!

@multiisketch and I were brainstorming some more Sonic Boom Revisited goodness, and the subject of Sonic's dislike of clothing (specifically pants) came up.

Amy: I don't see what the big deal is. I mean, I wear clothes and I look fabulous. You should try it.

Sonic: No offense Amy, but I would look absolutely ridiculous in your clothes.

Knuckles: Yeah, you don't have the hips to pull it off.

*everyone stares*

8. What is your favorite piece that you have done?

I've got technically two favourite pieces. One traditional and one digital.

This was the last ever traditional I did. (RIP lost in the mail system trying to send it to someone) I was just throwing chalk/paint/pencil crayon and marker at it.

No doubt this still goes hard lol. I'm really happy how the colours and 3D effect turned out for this one.

I really like this concept. That Sonic can't really control himself, Eggman's takes control of him by "robotizing" him. I can't find much material on this concept. Especially as a comic. But, @multiisketch gave us this! I'm looking forward to every episode! I hope I don't die of excitement until all the episodes arrive. 💙✌️

And it really wouldn't happen if I didn't draw. @multiisketch, I really love your comic! Keep it coming!!! 😍😍😍😍

Robo-Sonic 2.0 Redraw!

It was REALLY hard to draw since I suck at drawing mech, but I guess that’s the price to pay for a good design. It was fun doing the redraw challenge and I’m proud with how it turned out, pushed me past my comfort zone. (Hope you like it too :D)! Go read @sonicboomrevisited because it’s really good. Where do you personally feel Sonic started developing feelings for Amy? I like to think deep down he's had a crush since SA1 but would always brush it aside and be in constant denial to himself about it, before fully realizing "wait I really do love this girl!?" sometime around Unleashed to IDW

P.S. - Ever since reading ILYCWM, I can't stop associating "I Miss You" with these two

since the moment he laid eyes on her in Sonic CD

Lol while this ^ is an interesting take on the ship that I do like to think about sometimes, I’m not sure it’s the easiest to justify! I don’t adamantly disbelieve it though.

That said, I think you’re just about right on the money! Sonic needed to see Amy as an equal (and vice versa, honestly) before any real romantic connection between them could flourish, and that’s what happens in SA1. Amy sets out to be her own hero not only to impress Sonic, but to prove to herself that she can do it (and that she is just as special as he is). Conversely, Sonic needed Amy’s persistence to simmer down into something tangible before he could even engage with it. When Sonic sees more of Amy doing her own thing and even standing up to him, he can actually take her in and like what he sees.

There are some questionable situations between SA1 and Unleashed, for sure (thank you so much, SegaAmerica /s), but more often than not, I think we see a lot of situations where Sonic likes teasing her and having her around. It’s not until Unleashed where they get to interact on more neutral grounds and Sonic brings himself to consider her more seriously.

@multiisketch had an awesome take recently on one of my posts about them (talking about the sonamy idw cover for the 5th anniversary). To paraphrase and simplify, “Sonic rejected his feelings for Amy for so long because the whole idea of her intimidated him so much until she mellowed out.”
