Hey guys, a post for average sword enjoyers .
"Daddy, is my sword shit?"
This is a quick guide so you can tell if your sword is shitty, and what that means.
As a reference: Behold, a shit sword:
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Does your sword have the words "Pakistan" or "China" etched on the blade in plain letters? Im sorry bro, Your sword is (probably) shit. Now, just because your sword is made in China doesn't mean your sword is shit, but that stamp is associate with mass produced machined stainless steel blades purely for decoration, therefore Shit. And in that vein:
2. Is your sword made from stainless steel? If there's not 'stainless' stamp on it, the material will look like the steel of your average kitchen knife, silvery and shiny. If it's stainless steel, Im sorry bro.
3. Does your sword have a shitty looking resin handle? Dead give away. Im sorry bro.
4. Is your sword just a flat rectangle? Does it not taper towards the tip? Im sorry bro, real blades taper to control the weight distribution.
5. Does your blade FEEL heavy? Unwieldy? A real sword is easy to use, the center of gravity isn't too far from the hilt. And even on the upper end of sword weights you won't find many swords above 2 kgs.
6 (less importan) Whats the material of your blade? If it's just Identified as "High carbon steel" you should be suspect. 1045 steel is the minimum grade I would consider to be usable. At that grade you have a blade that won't immediately snap or be soft enough to easily bend while still holding an edge. Usable swords should be able to handle impact.
"Daddy my sword is shit, what does that mean for me?"
When I say your sword is shit it means you should not use it to practice, cut, spar or anything that isn't display it or maybe lightly swing it around. Stainless steel blades might snap right off on impact. Poorly made hilts can shatter, or give and send the blade flying on a swing.
There are many Many other design considerations that would make a sword shit, but this list only seeks to address what are the most obvious red flags, things you can see and feel right away even if you are new to swords.

💬📖 Released in 1998, "ICQ for Dummies" by Peter Weverka and Michael Taylor was the go-to guide for navigating the world of instant messaging. At a time when the internet was still new to many, ICQ (I Seek You) changed how people connected online—long before WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or Discord.
💻 The book walks readers through everything they need to know about ICQ, from installation to mastering its features. It starts with a step-by-step guide on how to download, install, and set up an ICQ account. Once online, users learn how to add contacts, send instant messages, share files, and even send SMS messages through the platform.
Beyond basic messaging, the book dives into chat rooms, status updates, and away messages, helping users make the most of ICQ’s social features. It also covers customization options, such as changing sounds, skins, and using plugins to enhance the experience. For those running into trouble, a troubleshooting section offers tips on solving common issues and staying safe online.
🌍 ICQ was one of the first real-time messaging platforms, pioneering features like unique user IDs (UINs), offline messaging, and “Uh-oh!” message notifications. It set the foundation for modern instant messaging and changed how people interacted online.
🖊️ Peter Weverka is an experienced writer specializing in technology and software guides. He has written multiple books in the For Dummies series, covering topics like Microsoft Office, Windows, and the Internet. His easy-to-follow writing style made technical concepts accessible to a broad audience. Michael Taylor is also a technology expert and author, collaborating with Weverka on "ICQ for Dummies" and other software-related books. Together, they created a practical and user-friendly guide that helped countless people navigate the world of online messaging.
📖 While ICQ is no longer a household name, this book remains a fun time capsule from the early days of the internet boom—a reminder of how exciting and revolutionary online chat once was.
💬 Who remembers their first ICQ number? Drop it in the comments if you still remember!

Just one day, I would like one day to not do this lorch :3
Let’s break down exactly what she intended to say… shall we?
Lily orchard you know your victims are watching, you know how to get them and frankly you are only doing this to stay relevant and feed your incessant need to validation and attention that clearly you were barely given by your family, you’ve broken the people around you and now you cling to a source of fame that is in all fairness: infamy.
Let’s grab that definition shall we?
Tumblr media
Infamy isn’t the same as fame.
It’s the opposite, antithesis of fame. Many want to be part of history in a good light because infamy only tarnishes and soils your reputation.
You did a post quite recently about your sister, you have traumatized her enough and continue to hide truth behind thinly veiled and poorly woven lies so what more would you do.
:)
I have more books for you Lilian
I really think you should get them
I’ll even link them, just for you ;3
I really think this suits you just right

My first thought was "why is there a book about genies in the music section?" followed immediately by "how the hell do you write a self help book about genies? Becoming a genie? Understanding genies? What even is this? Genies for Dummies?!?"
Is there such a thing as adult onset dyslexia? It doesn't say djinn, it says DJing, like the act of being a DJ. That makes much more sense.
