Burnt Sienna: Favorite smell?

I really like the smell of eucalyptus. (I spelled that without autocorrect, I’m so proud.) It’s a very calming scent to me, and it helps me a lot when I can’t sleep or when I’m feeling stressed. 

Pear: Where do you feel rested?

I never feel completely rested. Ever. But, I do feel most content and able to sleep on/near the beach. The ocean is soothing and constantly rhythmic background noise, and the overall feel of it is relaxing, so I’m more likely to drift off there than anywhere else. We have a summer condo in North Carolina, and I get more rest in a week there than I do the rest of the year.

Lavender: What is your favorite time of day?

Dusk. I like seeing the change in the sky, and I like the moment when the sun hasn’t completely set but you can already see the first stars coming out. It’s our world going to sleep and a completely different one waking up, and that to me is an incredibly special thing to experience.

Pink Nectar: What’s your aesthetic?

I would have been very disappointed if you hadn’t asked this one, Alex. I have to say “soft but sharp”. I like the look of “I care too much but I can also tear you apart if I really wanted to.” And then, because to me color makes all the difference, I’ve recently found that blue and gold is a very aesthetically pleasing mix to me. (I am really bad at actually describing my aesthetic, what is going on)

Thistle: If you could become wise, rich, or intelligent, which would you rather?

My self-esteem is screaming intelligent, but for the sake of honesty and reasoning I would have to say wise. Intelligence is just book knowledge and logic. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it can make a person insensitive because they’ll start to rely only on facts. Wisdom, on the other hand, is a mixture of feeling and thinking, and it’s more of a worldly intelligence that, rather than making a person at risk of becoming hard and cold, makes them warmer and softer towards other people. You’re still intelligent, you just also look at your own personal beliefs alongside fact, and I feel like its much more broad of an intelligence.
