So many people going off all the time like "Frozen Teardrop isn't canon" and then Operation 30th ends with a bunch of brand new animation that is very clearly from Frozen Teardrop.

Like. The very last shot of the 90s style animated segment shows the Frozen Teardrop crew (sans Naina) instead of the original Wing crew.

My own feelings on Frozen Teardrop are mixed, but I feel like this is pretty undeniable confirmation of its canonicity. Why would they go to all this trouble for something that isn't canon?

All the other cadets were smiling with pride over their victory; there were tears only in Lucretia's eyes. Perplexed, Zechs asked, "What happened? Did you get hurt?"

"No, it's not that."

"You were just worried about Professor Treize and Zechs, they're fine! Shouldn't you be relieved?" the always cheerful Solac chimed in, half teasing.

"It's not that either, I..." Lucretia wiped way her tears and said with resolute pride in her voice, "I hate war."

This is a fan translation of Frozen Teardrops. It has some good ideas, pretty pictures but overall, Frozen Teardrops is to Gundam Wing what The Legend of Korra was to The Last Airbender. Don't take it as canon. It is its own thing. But! This extract only makes me ship Treize and Noin more. I to some extent believe the writer, might have been gunning for the two but never got a chance to make it happen in the series due to issues behind the scenes.

Either way. Like I said. Don't take Frozen Teardrops as a sequel to the Gundam Wing series. It's its own thing. I especially don't like that Treize was sexually assaulted by his mother. This makes me wonder if Leia might have raped him while he was unconscious or drugged up in his hospital bed. It would be horrible but explain how she got the semen of a 17-year-old child, and how he never knew he had a child grown out of it. He never knows it was taken out of him!

The new manga bridging the events of Endless Waltz and Frozen Teardrop looks like it's going to be the extended Preventer 5 story from the novel.

Which means there's likely no Zechs and Noin (they would be en route to Mars at that point).

Maybe they'll delve into Dixneuf's background and show how ZERO, Noin's, Zechs' and Treize's actions led to Astoria's death, though? It would be nice to at least have panels of their faces. Doubtful that would happen, but a girl can hope!

I do know the ladies are gonna be the absolute badasses that they are in this! Very excited for that.

the fact that they managed to refresh the visuals while staying so true to the original. the gundams. seeing all of the characters animated fresh and beautiful. heeros kingdom hearts protag ass behaviour. my man still dont know how to use a parachute either. stupid ass. i love his fit though omfg they did him so good. the gundams. MEILAN SPOTTED holy fuck. real episode zero moment. ohhhh my god. everyone so beautiful. the Gundams. i have to go watch it again.
