extremely funny current life memory: back when the comic was still coming out, i tried to hide being a davekat shipper, cause my friends thought it was a “bad ship.” (cringey, unrealistic, toxic, “they don’t even like each other, everyone who ships them is a fujoshi.”) when they found out, they all teased me for it, and acted like i was stupid. and they didn’t know i was kin, so i couldn’t even be like, “trust me, i am dave.”

the genuine euphoric glee i felt when we were canonized. and then, the absolute, shit-eating grin i greeted my friends with.

they tried to insist that i was still wrong, cause “it couldn’t have worked without the timeline reset” or whatever, but they knew their asses were wrong. they had no idea. i felt like the ceo of media literacy that day.

Dude, i love my f/o, but they are commonly sexualized in the fandom im from, not to an extreme degree, but to where when you think about them you think of yucky stuff. & to make things worse, i fucking HATE sexualization, im aroace, a minor, and trans, and the IDEA of sexualizing someone without their knowledge nor consent (even then most things sexual in nature make me uncomfortable) but my f/o isnt there to say if he is ok w/ this!!!!

One rly funny thing abt this tho is that i kin like- a (roughly) 45 year old ‘single’ dad, and my f/o was also in the same age range as me, so despite being a minor now i do find it extremely funny that i was a middle aged father with a husband.

I just miss them so much man, he is so cool and deserves the world. And i wish i could express that without being worried id be labled as another fujoshi or smth (to clarify though, i am NOT a woman, not really a man either, but def more masc leaning)

I just hate the assumption that if i say “omg omg thats my wife,!!” That it means i meant it sexually or otherwise. It makes me extremely uncomfortable.
