really thinking about this again
Tumblr media
please note, i entered my playthrough of datv with nothing but good faith and have in fact been ignoring all hype about it, for good or ill, as best i could prior to its release. but tonight something hit me irrevocably about the writing that might've genuinely trashed it for me, so... well, those who are invested in maintaining optimism about it probably should not read further.
with that said...
unfortunately, like four hours in i developed a suspicion that the dialogue in this game was written either partly or largely with AI, and... fuck. i cannot make myself un-believe that now. the dialogue is so rote and so flat and so glutted with cliché and so devoid of linguistic and emotional nuance that it legitimately disturbs me. it's like i'm detecting some kind of literary uncanny valley.
i don't know. maybe i'm being deeply cynical. but bioware also let all their writers go and were utterly unconcerned about that fact, so against my will i am now envisioning a room full of shitbrained game execs thinking this would be a fine way to make sure the damn thing ships by halloween and i don't like how plausible it feels.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐊𝐒?!
Tumblr media
A/n: Thank you for everyone's patience while I've been on this hiatus. I hope this makes up for lost time Warnings: Dom!xreader, fingering, oral, cum eating, blowjobs, squirting, voyeurism, breeding kink, mating press, doggy, face sitting Characters: Geto Suguru, Gojo Satoru, Sukuna Ryomen, Toji Fushiguro
Tumblr media
Toji- Blowjobs/Cum eating
Toji plugs your nose when he cums in your mouth and makes you gargle it until its dripping down your throat.
He is such a meanie:((
He laughs at how your face scrunches up from the bitter taste of him and how glassy tears roll down your puffy cheeks from the sheer brutality of thrusts into your mouth.
You would think that he'd be done after he busted a load into your mouth? Wrong. He pushes his length deeper down your throat almost making you gag.
"F-fuck baby, that's it, j-just keep doing that."
You still your movements for a brief moment, letting Toji's dick weigh heavy on your tongue while you look up at him through glassy eyes and wet lashes. Immediately, your head grows fuzzy and your ego swells when you catch how his face is tilted toward the ceiling, his eyes scrunched closed as if he's too afraid to open them. He's close. You can tell. Toji's mouth is slightly open, and you can see his tongue darting across his lips, wetting them as if savoring every sensation. Oh how you wish you could touch yourself right now, roll your clit with your index finger and savor this moment. Unfortunately, you got your hands, or rather your mouth, a bit too full.
You let the hand on the back of your head push you flush against Toji's groin, shoving his member impossibly farther down your throat and your nose into his dark happy trail. His musk is strong of old spice and salt. Spit slips from your lips, warm and slick, as it dribbles down your chin.
"Did I say you can stop? You trying to tease me baby?" Toji chuckles but you don't miss the way he almost tumbles over his words. You got him good.
He sits on the edge of the bed, hand on the back of your head guiding you up and down his length while you kneel between his legs on the floor. Every second you're fighting the impulse to moan, knowing if you do you'd probably gag. You even have to drop your jaw to accommodate his sheer size. As it moves in and out, there's an unmistakable saltiness and warmth against your tongue, and the way his mushroom tip hits the back of your throat knocks the wind from you. You can’t help but focus on the sensation—the way his cock fills your mouth, the slight friction as it moves, and the way your tongue instinctively curls and flattens around it.
You allow your tongue to flop out, the warmth of your wet muscle gliding across the underside of his dick makes his thighs shudder. Then, all of a sudden, he grabs your hair and shoves your face into him. You gag at the sudden intrusion down your esophagus, but Toji merely groans, reeling his hips back and thrusting into your wet mouth with primal vigor.
"Gonna cum baby, just take it ok?" He curses under his breath before wiping a tear from your eye with his thumb. "You're taking it like a champ."
You sit there helplessly as he uses your mouth like a sex toy. Heavy tears stream down your puffy cheeks and you have to dig your nails into his thighs to prevent yourself from gagging.
"Fuck fuck FUCK." With a loud groan and a particularly powerful thrust, salty fluid fills your mouth. You can feel his dick twitch as it spurts ropes of thick cum to the back of your throat and paints the roof of your throat.
Your instinct is to swallow. But you don't dare to. You're better trained than that.
"Show."
Obediently you open your mouth, sticking out your tongue to showcase his milky white cum covering your wet muscle.
Toji grins. He presses down on your tongue, letting the cum drip onto his thumb before pushing it back in.
"Swallow."
Gojo Satoru- Face sitting
For all his yapping and bragging Gojo Satoru is a service dom (though he will never ever admit it)
He's so smooth talking you into it
"Baby, baby, please, I always make you feel good don't I?"
"Shit baby, you're so messy."
You can barely hear Gojo's voice over your moans strung out on your lips. You can't think, fuck, you can so much as breathe as his tongue laps and licks your quivering hole from under you.
Gojo moves with a slow, deliberate rhythm, each stroke of his tongue sending waves of heat and electricity through your body. The sensation is overwhelming, warm, a perfect blend of pressure and softness that makes you melt. You can feel every movement, every flick and swirl around your clit, every time he enters in you with an unhurried intensity, drawing out the pleasure until it feels almost fucking unbearable. Remember how only a few minutes ago you were terrified of crushing his face under your weight? How stupid were you to think that would stop him, that any of your protests and concerns would prevent the Gojo Satoru from devouring you until you sobbed.
"Stay still f'me wont you."
You feel the warmth of his breath against your skin, a teasing contrast to the cool air around you. His hands grip your hips firmly, grounding you on his mouth, grinding you on his mouth, so your legs rest on either side of his head, your body responding instinctively to ever prod, nip and suck of his tongue.
"G-gojo please wa-" You cut your self off with a low whine when his soft lips wrap around your pearl and gently sucks.
“Mmmmm” Gojo moaned against your pussy making your stomach twist. “Taste like heaven babe”.
Geto Suguru- Breeding kink
As said multiple times before, above all else Geto Suguru is a family man.
Sure, he loves fucking load and load of cum into you until it drips out from your cunt like a milky white river
But what really sets him off is the idea of you fully and round with his kids. Oh boy. He really cant help himself.
Maybe there is something deeply fucking wrong with Geto Suguru. Maybe there is a fuck up in his brain chemistry that makes him think about stuffing you with his cum 24/7 until your begging for him to stop. Otherwise, he is afraid that there is no excuse for how he is acting right now, how he is fucking you in this moment, like an animal in heat.
Honestly, it's was a miracle you even managed to stay conscious.
“Fuh-fuck I-I cant- fuck -please Sugu~” Tears swelled in your eyes, staining the pillow your face is buried in as you struggle to remain on all fours. Fucked good? Try being fucked stupid, you can't even form a coherent thought from the delicious collision of Suguru tip against your cervix. The friction is enough to make you scream but you've been doing that for hours now, your throat is too hoarse to even moan at this point.
"What princess," Suguru coos, rocking his hips into your creamy cunt from behind, doggy style, the fap fap fap sound of his pelvis against your ass filling the air. "You want me to, what? Stop?"
In one quick motion, your body is flipped over, his cock not once leaving you empty for a second. He pushes you into a mating press; knees held against your shoulders to expose your entire lower half to him, the perfect view of the hole Suguru currently has his dick buried inside. The sight of you leaking around him makes his toned stomach tighten from arousal.
“Fuck doll your killin' me.”
You let out a groan of your own at how the curvature of his dick digged itself against your g-spot, scraping against your vaginal walls every time he backed his hips up. The shuddering of his legs against you let you know he is on the verge of going over the edge. You need to be filled, oh god you need his cum spilling inside you.
Eager to be the cause of his orgasm, you buck your hips forward against him helping him to get himself off to your soaked insides.
"Shi-Im gonna-" Suguru cuts him self off with a low groan as he pushes himself flush against your pussy and throws his head back in the air. You can feel the warm liquid inside you, strings and strings of hot cum filling you up as he held you in his arms. It made your body shake, his load weighing at your stomach like it was forming a bulge with how much there was.
Sukuna- Fingering
Sits you in his lap on his throne while he is having a meeting, and fills you with his fingers.
The fingers are so thick and long, two is enough to have you creaming.
You are going insane.
You needed more, more friction, more speed, more impact. One of Sukunas fingers wasn't possibly good enough, at least with how painfully slow he was moving.
You paw at his kimono, slightly tugging on the robs why he continued to discuss with some dumb advisor something you couldn't be bothered to focus on. If it weren't for the blanket covering his movements you are sure that random guy would run right out the door, which is something you were considering.
More, more, more. The thought consumed you, your toes curling and uncurling over the blanket as you buried your nose into Sukunas chest.
"Kuna..." You let out a low whine, low enough so only he could hear. "Please..."
Sukunas expression doesn't change, he doesn't even look at you, but his hand movement does. Without warning he slips another thick finger into your creamy cunt and curls, massaging your spot with the pads of his fingers.
You can't help but rock your hips back and forth, trying to suck him in deeper. You don't even notice that the advisor has left until you feel Sukunas breath against your ear.
“Greedy little thing.” Sukuna chuckles, intently watching the pleasurable facial expression you make as you fuck your self on his hand. He starts pumping his hand in earnest, covering your mouth with one large tattooed hand when you start crying out, jerking in his hold. It’s too much, the feeling of his thick fingers pressing into your sensitive walls, the wet little pap pap pap of his palm hitting your clit, the blinding ecstasy that’s coming closer and closer.
Your about to warn him that something feels weird when it hits you. As the wave crashes within you, it radiates outward, a ripple that electrifies the air, catching you in its grip. Your breath hitches, a sharp gasp and a loud moan escapes your lips, and suddenly everything around you pulses with the same rhythm, each beat perfectly aligned with the surge of ecstasy rushing through your body. You don't even notice the water gushing out of your pussy, soaking the blanket and Sukunas hand. Your skin tingles as though you’ve been swept up in the aftershock of their orgasm, and you have to bury your head into Sukuna's robes to ground yourself from the pleasure.
"Such a good girl," Sukuna coos, "Now I just have to fuck you don't I?"

"open up, sweetheart," simon rumbles, his voice thick with lust as he drags his leaking cock over your lips, smearing pre-cum like gloss. you whimper, tongue darting out to catch every drop, already drunk on the bitter-salt taste of him. "fuck, look at you—actin’ like my cum’s the only thing keepin’ you alive."
his grip tightens in your hair, forcing your head back, his other hand working his shaft with slow, filthy strokes. "bet you’re starvin’ for it, huh? need me to pump your pretty little throat full?" you nod desperately, lips parted, drool already slicking your chin.
he groans, hips jerking as the first thick pulse hits your tongue. "there it is—fuckin’ take it. every drop." you gag as he shoves deeper, his cum flooding your mouth, hot and heavy, dripping down your throat. "swallow, sweetheart. s’good for you—full of what you need."
you choke, tears pricking your eyes as his cock twitches, unloading another sticky wave. "that’s it," he growls, "suck me clean. wanna feel your throat workin’ around me." you whine, lapping at his slit, greedy for every last drop.
when he finally pulls out, you pant, lips swollen, face a mess. he grins, swiping two fingers through the cum on your chin and shoving them back into your mouth. "clean up, greedy girl. can’t waste it—not when you need it so bad."
you suck his fingers obediently, moaning at the taste. "still thirsty?" he taunts, palming his half-hard cock. "lucky for you, i got plenty more where that came from."
you whimper, opening wider. "please—"
"beggin’ already?" he chuckles darkly. "good. ‘cause i ain’t stoppin’ ‘til you’re fuckin’ stuffed."

the sounds anton makes when you're overstimulating him [sfw link]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this can be overstimulation via the old gluck gluck 9000, your pussy, or your hand he's just so so sensitive and receptive to your touch that anything you do becomes too much too quickly for him :(( im 100% a vocal anton truther and my favorite part is how i think his sounds really vary depending on what he physical sensations or emotions he's feeling in the moment and how close he is to cumming hnngg,,,, like when you first put him in your mouth he lets out a harsh puff of air like its almost paining him and then from there its all low breathy moans and soft yes, yes muttered under his breath (so cutiepie)
when you focus your attention on his mushroom head and suckle on the plush flesh, hes gritting his teeth and letting out high pitched whines in the back of his throat. the sight of him arching his back with his eyes shut tight makes you almost want to take pity on him, but when you really push him that extra inch ohhh the beautiful sounds he makes... anton gets to a point where he's too overcome with the pleasure that his previously taut and rigid body is completely lax as if you sucked all the strength out of him (you did) and he's letting out these pornographic boyish grunts and gaspy moans [check link] doesn't even know what to do just completely submitting himself to you.
i think no matter how comfortable anton gets with his partner, he's still semi-conscious of himself and the sounds he makes and or the way his body looks from certain angles. not in an insecure way, but just that he's the type of person who prefers to be in control of themselves at all times if he can help it, but when you're sucking him dry after already edging him a few times poor baby :'( i can picture him exactly sitting on his gaming chair, his arms not even on his thighs or the armrest or anything, but slack hanging by his sides and his head resting on the back of the chair as he catches his breath.... imagine climbing onto his lap before he can even register the fact that you've already tucked him away back in his shorts and leaning up to give him what he thinks is an innocent good job baby smooch but you stick your tongue full of his cum in his mouth and the taste of your spit and the sticky bitter saltness of himself has his eyes rolling back into his head again </3
i think these grunty gaspy moans also tend to come out when you clench around him a few too many times and most of the time he knows that you're doing it on purpose to get a reaction out of him but he can't help it when your warmth and wetness on just the first stroke already has him frantically pulling out to squeeze the base of his cock in efforts to delay his release >:[!! how can he not give you what you want !!

⠀ ⠀ Tides of Treachery
pairings: Pirate!caleb x Mermaid!reader.
notes/warnings: violence, brief mentions of blood. Nearly drowning. Reader is intended to be afab!bodied and gender neutral. no smut in this part, part 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sea has always been Caleb’s first love. The way the waves rolled and crashed against the hull of his ship, the scent of salt thick in the air, and the endless horizon stretching beyond his reach—it was all he had ever known.
Years ago, he used to happily laugh around and run in the water, throw sand at his friends and enjoy the rays of warmth radiating from the sun. But all good things come to an end, Caleb had learned the hard way that nothing in life was permanent—not love, not safety, not even the land beneath his feet.
His father had gone out to sea one morning to fish for their humble family business, promising to return before nightfall, but the tides swallowed him whole, leaving behind only whispers of his name in the crashing waves.
His mother, left to raise him alone, had done everything she could to keep him safe. But safety was a fragile illusion. The night the world flipped upside down for him, the thugs came, she had fought for him, desperate to keep her boy safe as she hid him in a corner, tears streaming down her face as she hugged him for the final time. Caleb still remembered the way her blood pooled on the wooden floor, how the coppery scent mixed with the salt on his skin as he was dragged outside, kicking and screaming.
He was meant to die that night. The leader of the gang had loomed over him, blade in hand, expression cold and indifferent. But something in Caleb’s eyes must have reminded him of himself—some old, bitter ghost of the past—because he hesitated
“Take him,” the man had ordered. “Teach the boy how to survive.”
And so he did.
Caleb was thrown into a world of cutthroats and thieves, learning how to wield a dagger before he could grow his first beard. The boy who once ran across the shore, carefree and full of laughter, had long since vanished. In his place stood a pirate feared across the seas, his name whispered in drunken taverns and city guards.
He should have felt satisfied. He had carved his own place in the world, commanded a crew that would die for him, listening to his every whim and commands and sailed waters that no man dared to cross.
But sometimes when his crew went to their beds and bunkers, he would step out of his own, in the quiet of the night, when the ocean was calm and the stars burned like embers overhead, he thought of the past. He thought of a life that had once been his before fate stole it away.
A creature he recalled, a siren. an abomination mix of fish and human. he never entertained the talk of catching a siren to keep it for him to sing. if one was unfortunate enough to fall in the nets of his ship would immediately have its scales taken away and itself shipped off and sold to some lord with fortune, that easily explains the amount of coats he has with shimmering scales.
It was on one such night, when the sea lay still and the wind barely stirred the sails, that Caleb saw them.
A shape, moving just beyond the reach of the lanterns’ glow, barely a ripple in the water. He narrowed his eyes, stepping closer to the edge of The Wayward Star, gripping the wooden railing with steady fingers.
Then, the moonlight caught them.
A figure, half-submerged, skin glistening like pearls beneath the pale light. Their hair floated around them in thick, damp strands, creating an illusion of ink swirling around them, and their eyes—dark and knowing—locked onto his.
Caleb inhaled sharply.
A mermaid.
Not the kind sung about in sailor’s tales, with golden curls and gentle voices. No, this was something else entirely. Their gaze held no innocence, no wide-eyed wonder. Instead, they studied him, unblinking, as if deciding whether he was prey or something more. It made a humming gurgling noise, the odd scent of seasons and spices had attracted it towards the ship.
His fingers itched toward the cutlass at his hip, but he hesitated.
“You watching me?” he called out, voice low, roughened by years of salt and rum.
The mermaid didn’t answer, not in words. Instead, they tilted their head slightly, eyes glinting like two beads covered in obsidian in the dark.
Something about them made the air feel too thick, too heavy in his lungs. He had spent his life commanding men, stealing from those unfortune to pass his ship, fighting battles and staring death in the face without flinching. But this? This was different. that thing unsettled him.
Then, as silently as they had appeared, they slipped beneath the waves.
Gone.
Caleb exhaled, only then realizing he had been holding his breath.
Caleb barely slept that night. He couldn’t. After returning to his bedchambers, his eyes wouldn’t stay closed, he felt like a nail was being jammed into his head, and when he felt comfortable enough for sleep to lull him away, a thunder would wake him up.
Caleb gave up trying to get a brink of sleep. He sat at the bow of The Wayward Star, staring out at the sea as if drilling his gaze into the water infront of him would will the mermaid to return. The waves lapped lazily against the ship’s hull, rocking it. and the stars shimmered like scattered silver, but the water remained empty.
By dawn, the mermaid still hadn’t resurfaced.
He told himself to let it go. He was a pirate, not some fool enchanted by sea myths. There was plunder to seek, ships to raid, and yet—he found his thoughts drifting back to them. The way the moonlight caught the wet sheen of their skin, the quiet intelligence and stupidity in their dark eyes, the way they had simply watched him, like they were trying to understand him.
He had spent his life being feared, respected, hated by most. Never had someone looked at him like that before.
He shook the thought from his mind. Damn that fish, he had better things to do.
But fate, it seemed, had no intention of letting him forget.
The second time he saw them, it was in the middle of a storm.
The sea raged, tossing The Wayward Star like a toy, and rain pelted the deck in thick sheets. Caleb barked orders over the howling wind, his clothes soaked through, his hands raw from gripping the ropes. The storm was bad—worse than most—but he had survived worse.
Then, amidst the chaos, he saw them.
A shadow beneath the waves, moving too fast for the current to carry. At first, he thought his mind was playing tricks on him, lack of sleep always did funny tricks on people, but then the ship lurched violently to the side, nearly throwing him off balance.
He barely had time to react before a massive wave surged forward, hitting the ship with unnatural force. The wood groaned under the weight, and his crew yelled in alarm, struggling to hold the vessel steady.
Caleb barely had time to brace himself before the wave struck.
The impact sent him staggering backward, boots slipping on the rain-slicked deck. His fingers scrabbled for purchase on the rigging, but another violent lurch of the ship sent him sprawling. The world tilted—dark sky and raging sea spinning together in a blur—before the deck vanished beneath him.
Cold, crushing water swallowed him whole.
The ocean was deafening. It roared in his ears, filled his nose, dragged him down with merciless hands. Caleb kicked, fighting against the force pulling him deeper, but the storm churned above him, tossing him around like he was nothing more than a scrap of driftwood.
For the first time in years, true panic clawed at his chest.
His lungs burned, muscles screaming as he thrashed against the weight of the sea. He had survived battles, betrayals, and the cruel hand of fate itself—but drowning? Dying alone beneath the waves? The thought sent a sharp bolt of fear through him.
Then, just as the darkness at the edges of his vision threatened to consume him, something moved.
Not the waves. Not the current.
Something else.
A shadow slipped through the water, too fast, too smooth, circling him like a predator. a creature made for water.
He didn’t have the time to register the shape before arms wrapped around him—strong, steady, and colder than the sea itself. A rush of movement followed, the water parting as he was dragged downwards with unnatural speed.
Then—air.
Caleb’s breath came in ragged gasps, his throat raw from seawater and the force of the storm. His hands pressed into the damp sand beneath him, fingers curling around the fine grains as his body shook with exhaustion.
The cave was dimly lit, the glow of bioluminescent corals and strange, shifting lights casting eerie shadows on the walls. The air was thick with the scent of salt and something else—something unfamiliar, earthy, and deep. The sound of dripping water echoed in the cavern, mixing with the rhythmic crash of waves outside.
His mind reeled.
How was there air here? How was he even alive?
A flicker of movement made him tense.
Slowly, he raised his head.
The mermaid was there.
They lingered at the water’s edge, half-submerged, their dark eyes watching him with the same unreadable intensity as before. The glow of the cave cast shifting patterns across their skin, highlighting the smooth muscles of their shoulders, the glint of scales that shimmered with every small movement.
Caleb swallowed, still breathless.
“You saved me,” he rasped, voice hoarse from nearly drowning and coughing out salt water. He didn’t know why he was stating the obvious, but the words slipped out before he could stop them.
The mermaid tilted their head slightly, considering him. Then, slow and deliberate, they moved closer.
Caleb’s instincts screamed at him to be cautious. He had spent his life surrounded by liars and thieves, men who would slit your throat for a handful of gold. Trust was something he had long since abandoned.
And yet—
He didn’t move as the mermaid reached out.
Their fingers brushed against his cheek, cool and slightly rough, like they weren’t quite used to touching something as fragile as human skin. Caleb held still, his breath catching as they traced the outline of his jaw, their expression unreadable.
Their touch lingered for a moment longer before they withdrew, retreating slightly into the water, as if waiting.
Waiting for what?
Caleb exhaled sharply, running a hand through his soaked hair. He needed to think, to figure out where he was, what they wanted. But the storm had drained him, and the warmth of the cave—unnatural as it was—lulled his body into something dangerously close to comfort.
He should have been afraid.
But for the first time in a long, long while, he wasn’t.
Instead, he found himself staring back at the creature before him, heart pounding, pulse thrumming with something dangerously close to curiosity.
“…What are you?” he murmured, voice barely above a whisper.
The mermaid didn’t answer in words.
But they smiled—slow and knowing—before slipping back into the water’s embrace.
Tumblr media
After a few hours, you returned. Different types of fishes for your lovely guest you had dragged to your home, could you be blamed? the deep ocean was starting to get boring and dull, hunting fishes would not excite you. Days weren’t looking brighter and you felt like day by day you were evolving into a sea cucumber laying uselessly on the sand waiting for your eventual demise.
You swam through the water effortlessly, the cold depths parting for you as you carried your prize—an assortment of fish clutched in your hands, still fresh, their scales gleaming under the soft glow of the cave’s bioluminescent corals.
It had been years since anything had truly interested you. The ocean, vast and endless as it was, had lost its thrill. Hunting was easy. The other creatures of the sea were predictable. You had seen everything there was to see, done everything there was to do.
But him—the human—you had never encountered something quite like him before.
He was fragile. Small, in comparison to the beasts of the sea. His limbs were awkward and unfit for swimming, his body weighed down by the very waters that carried you with ease. And yet, despite his weakness, he fought.
You had seen the fire in his eyes, the defiance that burned even as the sea threatened to swallow him whole. A lesser creature would have gone limp, accepted their fate, but he had thrashed, struggled, survived.
That made him interesting.
And interesting things did not come often in your world.
So, really, could you be blamed for dragging him here? For watching him as he gasped for breath, the air in the cave filling his fragile lungs? For wanting to see how long he would last before his fear turned his survival instincts to recklessness?
You breached the water’s surface, the fish still held tightly in your grasp, and your dark eyes immediately sought him out.
There he was.
The pirate.
He had not moved far from where you left him. His body was curled slightly, one arm slung over his bent knee, head resting against the damp rock. His breathing was steady now, slower, but his exhaustion was evident.
You took a moment to observe. Poking his feet to test the waters before crawling out of the water and on top of him.
His skin was warm, unlike the cold-blooded creatures you were used to. His hair, still damp from the ocean, clung to his face in uneven strands. His chest rose and fell in slow, rhythmic motions, his lips slightly parted as if caught between sleep and wakefulness.
The fish in your hands flopped weakly, their gills opening and closing in vain. You had chosen well—fat, fresh, the best you could find. Surely he would be pleased.
But as you placed the offering beside him, he did not react.
You frowned.
You reached out, fingers ghosting over his skin, pressing against his shoulder. The warmth of him startled you, even now, and for a brief moment, you simply felt—the rise and fall of muscle beneath your touch, the way his breath hitched ever so slightly in response.
You raised your webbed hand and slapped it down on his firm chest.
Plap!
His eyes snapped open with a gasp. For a long moment, you two simply stared at each other.
Then, slowly, ever so slowly, his gaze flickered downward—to the fish beside him, and to the naked scaled-covered chest of the mermaid hovering over his face, blocking his view of the cave. he averted his eyes to the fish, it was still twitching, their silver scales glinting in the dim light.
A pause.
Then, he exhaled through his nose, something between amusement and disbelief flickering across his face.
“…Did you just bring me food?”
You blinked.
Of course you did. What else would he eat? Rocks?
He let out a quiet laugh, shaking his head as he sat up. His fingers brushed over the fish idly, as if testing to see if they were even real.
“Well. Can’t say I’ve ever had a meal delivered to me by a sea creature before.” He glanced back at you, his lips quirking at the corners. “Guess I should be flattered.”
You tilted your head slightly, watching him.
Strange.
You had given him a gift—an offering of peace, even—and instead of taking it seriously, he was… laughing, what was laughing supposed to mean here? humans were so so strange.
You narrowed your eyes, leaning closer, your face mere inches from his. His breath caught slightly, his gaze flickered to your lips that were inching just centimeters away from his, but he held his ground, his eyes returning up to watch you in return.
Interesting.
Your lips curled into something that wasn’t quite a smile but wasn’t quite a threat, either.
This was going to be fun.

Simon Riley wants to eat you alive.
Tumblr media
Everyone privileged enough to be considered close to him, knows that Simon Riley has the biggest sweet tooth.
He eats his dessert first if he feels like it which is most of the time and would rather munch on a box of Belgian pralines than scoff down a more nourishing MRE in the field.
He doesn't have a favourite. Creamy chocolates and toffees, fruity hard candies, succulent cakes and biscuits, hell even salted licorice if he's particularly desperate.
The man has been claimed dead one too many times in his wretched life at this point, so why should he bloody care about something silly like his sugar intake. If he sees something sweet, he will simply lift his mask high enough to stuff his ugly gob full with a whole cupcake in one obscene bite before hiding behind the cloth again, wiping the frosting off his gloves on the dirty ground or even his fatigues carelessly.
No one ever dares to comment on the strange sticky stains on his gear; the smudged pinks, and whites, and browns. When Johnny called him gross once, he ended up with a nasty bruise on his cheekbone and a better understanding of his Lieutenant's sugar addiction.
However, the craving stays and festers in his gut like an insatiable hole that's been carved into his battered body, and no piece of cake nor chocolate can begin to sate his hunger for something soft and sweet to sink his crooked teeth into.
It's no surprise then, when Simon notices you one fateful day; sniffs you out, because he easily catches your scent as you walk past him with your gaze straight ahead, and he knows the sour bitterness that seems to be oozing out of your pores all too well.
It's such a feeble attempt of yours at keeping your own mask in place; hiding behind thick layers of pessimism and sarcasm, dark humor, and feigned indifference, although it only makes Simon's mouth water even more as he knows exactly what you're hiding behind your poorly crafted walls.
Because next to his sweet tooth, he's also a bloody masochist loves feeling his cold heart thumb with something akin to feelings whenever you reject his clumsy advances. You've somehow gotten under his skin in a way that no one dared to even try before and Simon is ready to rip his mask off and tear down his own walls to make you understand, make you see that he's just the same, just as starved for something real and longlasting.
"You can stop with tha' whole," he makes a vague gesture with his gloved mammoth hand at you, "attitude shite around me now, luv. Not gonna work, ya know."
Again, you simply roll your eyes, clicking your tongue in exasperation as you avert your gaze from him with a frown, but Simon catches the flush creeping up your neck, warming your cheeks right up at his unyielding attention. So stubborn, just like him.
"Can't you go bother someone else?" you huff quietly, though he knows you don't mean it. "Bloody nutter." None of it.
And Simon, not Ghost, has finally found a new purpose in his life.
Hidden deep, deep down inside you, there's the softest and sweetest gooey core, and he is more than determined to peel away every thick layer like colorful candy wrapper all the colors already a warning in itself, one he shall too ignore until your fragile little heart is exposed, completely bared to him, so he can finally indulge, and lay his burning claim.
Oh, but little does he know you've been starving and denying yourself anything sweet for years as well, and perhaps, now that he gave you a taste of what you too been yearning for, you turn out worse than Simon himself.
Tumblr media
Okay, I actually might turn this into a longer oneshot. Also, Simon would definitely save your name as Truffle<3 in his contacts :) @bloodytalefeathers 🤍

tied up - rafe cameron x fem!reader
Tumblr media
warnings: master manipulator!rafe ; mentions of violence ; sexual innuendos towards the end
a/n: the second i saw rafe tied up and sweaty in this episode, i KNEW i had to write about it. this is probably the first of many writings relating to this scene.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the ship rocks gently beneath you, creaking in time with the water lapping against its sides. you step carefully, feeling the weight of the metal plate in your hands, warm against your fingertips. the scent of food mixes with the salt air, thick and lingering, though you’re sure he won’t touch it. rafe sits a few feet away, hands bound to a pipe in front of him, his head drooped forward. he doesn’t look up as you approach, but you can feel his awareness.
you pause, just out of reach, and the light catches his profile—a bruise blooming darkly his eye, his lip split and red, dried blood marking his mouth like some careless stain from when jj knocked him out. he lifts his head slowly, almost deliberately, and his gaze finds yours. his eyes are sharp, narrowed, an intense blue like broken glass in sunlight, calculating and unreadable.
the plate feels heavier in your hands, like it’s suddenly full of something fragile. you set it down, the scrape of metal on wood cutting through the silence like a match. he doesn’t move, just watches you with that unblinking look, like he’s trying to measure how much of you he could break if his hands were free. the thought chills you, but you don’t step back.
“eat,” you say, trying to sound calm, detached, but your voice feels too loud in the confined space. his mouth twitches, a hint of something that might be a smile, but it’s too cold, too hollow. you can see the strain in his shoulders, the pure anger in the way he holds himself, but underneath it—something else. a flicker of vulnerability he’s trying hard to hide.
“so, they send you down to try to convince me to eat? think it would soften me up or something?” his voice is rough as it echos through the confined room. “i already told sarah that i’m not eating until they untie me.” he says with pure defiance. his eyes bore into you as if he’s trying to study you.
you turn your head, your gaze diverting to the dusty floor. “actually, no one sent me down here. they could give a shit if you starved or not. it would be doing everyone a favor.” you avoid his eyes, afraid that your confidence would melt if you met them.
for a second, you wonder if he’s about to say something, something meant only for you, and the realization tightens in your chest like a warning.
“then, why are you here?” he asks harshly. you look up to meet his haunted eyes, a chill runs down your spine and butterflies settle in your stomach. “what happened to never wanting to see me again, huh? what happened to ‘i love you forever’ ?”
his words command a flood of memories to rush through your head. your breathing becomes heavier as you remember it all; the lingering gazes, the sweet nothings, and finally, the way the absence in his eyes as he shot sherif peterkin.
“you know what happened, rafe,” you warn, your voice cracking slightly. he smirked, almost as if he could sense your anxiety. “you know why i left you.”
rafe’s smirk deepens, twisted and bitter, and he leans forward as much as the bindings allow him. “left me?” his voice is low, mocking, but there’s something raw in it too. “come on. we both know you didn’t leave me—you never really left me.”
the words cut through you, sharper than you expect, and for a moment, you can’t breathe. he watches you, waiting for a reaction, relishing it, and maybe even needing it. his gaze is relentless, pining you there like you were the one in restraints.
you force yourself to meet his eyes, even as every instinct screams to look away, to leave the room, and to escape. “i did, though. i left you because you weren’t the man i started dating. you were this,” you gesture to his bruises, his dried blood, and his hostility shimmering in his expression; the man who seems like a stranger and yet is all too familiar.
“you’ve always been mine.” he mutters more to himself than to you. “and i’m- i’m trying to change, y/n. i’ve been trying to change.” he says sternly, almost as if it was obvious, but it wasn’t. “y-you people don’t understand that i can change. i can change just as easily as you and sarah did when you started hanging around those goddamn pogues!” he raises his voice, jolting forward, and causing you to jump back.
when he notices you flinch, his gaze softens. he take a deep breath and sits back. you swallow harshly as he shifts from 0 to 100 in mere seconds.
“i’m just trying to change for the better; for you.” his voice is soft, not like what it was before. you can hear the sadness and the desperation dripping from his mouth.
it’s a trap. it’s all a trap. you’ve known rafe long enough to sense when he’s being manipulative, and he’s at his peak right now. you don’t respond, shaking your head, and going to grab the plate of food. as you grab the mental dish, his hands clasp around your wrist. the plate drops to the floor with a clatter.
“don’t- don’t go.” he whispers softly. his eyes search your face for even an ounce of reciprocated feelings. you bite the inside of your cheek as you ponder the possibilities. “stay here with me… please.” he isn’t speaking anymore, no, he’s begging.
your guard completely falls, leaving yourself vulnerable, and raw to his manipulations. when he senses the sudden shift, it’s as if he latches onto you, stringing his webs tighter around you.
you relax your shoulders with a sigh, not saying yes, but not leaving. he smiles and his eyes fall to your plump lips. his grip tightens around your wrist, fingers wrapping around your pulse. his breath is shallow and ragged, as if he’s afraid you’ll drift away.
your pulse quickens, a silent thrum that feels too loud, too obvious. his thumb moves softly, tracing small circles against your skin, a touch that’s barely there but enough to send a rush of warmth up your arm. you could pull away, break the moment before it goes any further, but you stay still.
rafe’s eyes drop to your lips, his jaw clenching as he takes a steadying breath. he’s drawing you closer, erasing the distance you swore to keep. “you don’t have to stay,” he murmurs, but his fingers tighten, betraying his words. “but… I don’t want you to leave.”
he inches closer, his face barely a breath away as his scent fills your senses. you can feel him hesitating, struggling against something, something that holds him back as much as it pulls him forward.
thousands of thoughts, warnings, and memories flash through your mind like blinding headlights, but they quiet under the intensity of his stare. then, he leans forward, closing the final sliver of space between you. his lips press softly against yours, and as if surrendering, you begin to kiss him back. the kiss begins gentle and sweet, but quickly turns into something desperate and fiery.
his tongue teases your mouth, slipping against your bottom lip. he’s frantic, raw, almost as if he’s afraid of losing you again, like he’s trying to make up for everything that happened. your lips slot against his like a puzzle piece.
you pull away breathlessly and stare at him. he lifts his arms that are bound by rope just enough for you to slip under them, now straddling his lap. you settle on his lap, something hard presses against your ass.
he smirks, “feel what you do to me, baby? i’ve missed you so much.”
the way he stares at you then and there tells you that you’ll be his forever. that there is no escape from him, even if you allow yourself to believe so. you’ll eternally be stuck in his web as he dances around you, only adding more silk to restrain you.
“calm down and untie me.” he says with a twisted grin. “let me take care of you, sweet girl.”

"If they ever give ya any grief, you know who to call."
Simon's words have never echoed so fiercely in your head as they do now.
The dress is uncomfortable. The shoes are uncomfortable. The air… is uncomfortable.
The dinner isn’t even that great. Or—well, it is. The restaurant has its perks: the wine is a deep red Shiraz, dry and with that slight bitter aftertaste that just enough balances the salt of your fillet mignon. Rare. Side baked potatoes with a crisp crust that still sizzles with warm olive oil.
It looks great.
Would taste great too, you reckon. Thing is, you’ve been playing with your food ever since the waiter brought it to the table.
You don’t think you’ve spoken a single word, if not your name, ever since you sat down. Mouth latched onto that crystal wine glass that could never be too full.
Fuck dating.
He looked oh, so nice leaning against the bar counter last week.
Leather jacket and a tight-fitting black t-shirt underneath, a softer tummy of a man who likes to train and eat. Big arms, broad shoulders. Thighs looked awfully soft in those blue jeans.
Mediterranean features. A strong nose, high cheekbones. Perhaps Italian origins, you thought, or maybe Spain? Greece?
Olive skin and thick brown curls, messy in that calculated way that only pretends to be tousled. You call it the sex hair. But it’s fake, so it would be like—the fake sex hair.
You love the fake sex hair. Or maybe you don’t. But on him, it looks unbelievably nice.
His eyes have this hazelnut hue, mottled with gold and green speckles. Long, thick lashes, dark like his hair.
Fuck, he looks like a Greek god.
And when he winked at you from the other side of the pub, lifting his glass of whatever he was drinking your way, you thought yourself so very fortunate.
Small blessings.
If only you’d known where those plump lips and feline brown eyes would lead you.
The entrée was accompanied by his favourite way to clean the leather of his sofa. Then he switched the topic to hair gel, because somehow the same company that makes the polish for his stupid couch also makes his stupid hair gel.
And now he’s telling you how much he benches. You should’ve known, to be honest, that somehow the chat would’ve swerved to his herculean strength and raw masculinity.
He oozes testosterone from every pore, reeks of pheromones, and—judging by his character—you wouldn’t rule out the possibility that he’s splurged on one of those dodgy "scientific" perfumes supposedly designed to make women swoon at his feet.
He’s saying how you’d never have to fear a thing if he was in the house, since you’d have him by your side. The urge to roll your eyes is incommensurable: you hide behind your wine glass, taking a generous gulp of Shiraz that’s drying out your tongue.
He’s eating with his mouth open. Chewing loudly. Loud enough to give you PTSD. Fucking hell, why do the handsome ones always have to act like they never set foot outside the house?
He has a pittie, he says.
Your ears perk.
Okay, pitties are nice. Lovely dogs with their big, smiling mouths always drooling for cuddles. You find their awkward stance tenderly charming—wide front legs and wagging tail. Plus, him having a dog means he can take care of fragile things, that he can be sweet and nice and reliable.
It’s a boy.
You smile.
He says he’s trained him to fight. Defend the household and whatnot.
It falters.
Says you could take him for a run if you fancy it. That he would give you (and he makes those awful hand quotations with his fingers) “scary dog privileges.”
You drink.
Scary dog privileges. You’re fighting a scoff so loud the sous chef would hear it from the kitchens.
You have SAS training privileges.
You have gun privileges.
You have scary dog privileges. You are the scary dog.
One glance at his neck, another at the table, and you've already calculated ten different ways to end his life in under a minute—one of which involves a thumbtack pinning the fake flowers to the polyester cube in the centrepiece vase.
You imperceptibly shiver. Shake your thoughts away.
He’s still rambling about his dog and his gym sessions and how he goes for runs every morning, every night, every moment of the bleeding day. Does he work? Have hobbies that don’t include a pissing contest with other men at the gym? Fuck’s sake, that thumbtack is starting to look incredibly inviting—
“So what do you do?” You blurt out.
It comes out so awkwardly that you can only fix it with a nervous laugh. One of those that make you look cute and shy, not weird and spacey.
He seems startled by it. Follows up with an awkward laugh of his own. Ugh. Okay, it’s okay. Maybe he’s nervous too. That can be cute.
“I’m military.”
You blink.
Oh.
Unexpected.
You hadn’t considered that. Granted, he has the stance, the body. He keeps his neck taut and straight, which is something you recognise you do yourself: hard to shake off habits from early training in Pirbright.
Truthfully, you had excluded partners from your same field of work. Didn’t go particularly smoothly last time you tried.
You’d like to come home to normalcy and averageness and homecooked meals and that dog he’s going on and on about, not to more military-related drama and paperwork scattered on the kitchen table.
But this can be nice, you muse.
Maybe straying from the plan you’ve laid out for your date could lead to some unexpected surprises. Maybe you could find a common ground, some shared experiences to discuss.
Anything to divert the topic from how he removes stains from his carpeted floors.
You straighten your spine, smoothing down the creases of your dress even if they’re hidden under the tablecloth.
With your elbow resting on the table, you subtly press your arms together, accentuating your neckline. You tilt your head slightly, chin nestled in your palm and lashes fluttering away.
He sports a smug smile, perhaps recognising the reaction his job must have sparked in many more women before you.
You let it slide.
“What branch?” You ask, trying to sound as naïve as you can.
Men in the military often have great success when it comes to dating. Women in the military, not so much—something about them being stronger than their male counterparts in a relationship seems to unsettle their egos, unchub their cocks.
Which is why you’re pretending you know shite about the topic—you’re just there to look pretty, for now.
“Oh, well,” his voice drops down an octave, and he leans a little closer to the table. The front of his crisp white shirt dips into the sauce covering his pasta.
You try not to stare at the oil stain too much.
He reaches out with his hand, toying with a ring on your finger. Looks around like he’s making sure no one else is listening, and then he smiles at you knowingly.
“It’s classified.”
Oh for fuck’s sake.
Alright, this date is botched. Tits up. Fuck him and his beautiful eyes and perfect bone structure. He could have been the love of your life. You would’ve made perfectly beautiful babies with beautiful Mediterranean genes.
You feign surprise. You feign interest.
The least you can do is have fun.
“Oh really?” You open your mouth in a shocked oval. “And—and what is it that you do?”
He leans back in his chair, self-assured. Charming smile. Know-it-all attitude.
“You know,” he shrugs, like it’s something so common and nonchalant. “Missions, deployments. All secret, though. Can’t share, unfortunately.”
He gives you a wink.
“Not even with a pretty girl like you.”
Yuck. Ew. Ugh.
You giggle, crystalline and shy, fingers to your mouth and all.
“Are you like—” You bite your lip, “—like James Bond?”
His chuckle is low, like he wants to show how much of that testosterone is actually brewing in his balls.
“Of sorts.”
“Wow.” You say breathily. “It must be dangerous.”
“It is,” he replies, cocking a confident brow. “Not a thing for girls like you.”
Dickhead.
You smile. Taut. Someone else would’ve noticed how strained it is. Not him though, no. Too self-absorbed to catch onto it. Wouldn’t see how obvious he’s being if it slapped him in the face.
“Hear me out,” he says after a while. “One minute bathroom break, and then I’ll tell you what you want to know, yeah?”
Which is nothing, but you nod anyway.
“Or, well—” he adds, standing up and setting the napkin on the table. “—What I can tell you.”
With a wink, he leaves for the loo.
You deflate. Rub your fingers on your forehead because that man just gave you a migraine.
You pluck your phone from your handbag and thumb through the screen to contact backup.
You think of Johnny, but you two bicker too much, and the possibility of him shooting back with one of your misfortunes is impossibly high. You’d like to keep your failing dates as quiet as possible.
Kyle would be the perfect choice, but he’s not nearby—a trip to somewhere warmer with his partner now that he’s on leave.
Price is not even an option. Who would call their boss to give them a lift out of a bad date?
Which leaves Simon. You know you have to call Simon, as much as you don’t want him to witness the absolute devastation that is your current love life. Granted, you know he would help without a peep—but still, there’s that bit of pride left untouched by the ruin that’s been your "relationship" that you’d like to keep intact.
But grief’s been given. Plenty of it. And, as he said, you know who to call.
With a surrendering sigh, you stuff your pride in a pocket and zip it shut.
As soon as your text goes through, you can’t even blink that three dots are already dancing at his corner of the screen.
Tumblr media
Your eyes roll so far back you take a peek at your brain.
Tumblr media
The sarcasm is so tangible you almost taste it on your tongue.
Hopefully your reply will manage to convey the urgency of your tone. The absolute sizzling hatred in your eyes.
Tumblr media
And then you wait for Mr. Classified to come back from the loo while eating a baked potato or two, even if now they’re awfully cold. Still crunchy and wonderful, though. The restaurant is stellar; it's a shame to have wasted the opportunity with such a painfully obnoxious sod.
When he comes back, he sits all grand at the table. He fixed his hair, you notice. Tried to clean the oil stain on his shirt and only managed to enlarge it—you can tell even if he’s buttoned up his dress jacket.
He tells you he’s a captain.
Yeah. Sure. Go big or go home, mh?
Recounts very generic war stories, one of which really does sound like the plot of a videogame you played with Kyle.
Your back’s to the door, so when he stumbles on his words and his eyes go wide out of the blue, you have no clue what’s got him so rattled.
That is, until you turn and look over your shoulder.
The biggest bloke’s standing at the entrance, seemingly instructing one of the waiters, who looks like he’s lost a few years off his life from how pale he’s gone.
Man dressed in black, helmet with night goggles on.
Show off.
The full shebang: tac vest layered above the bulletproof one, M4 hanging low on his front with clasps, a gun holstered on his hip. The radio pokes from one of the front pockets on his chest.
He has the goddamn skull mask on, for fuck’s sake.
Your eyes widen briefly, and then you fight tooth and nail to stifle a laugh. You wonder what Mr. “I’m military but it’s classified” thinks about “people actually in the classified part of the military”.
You turn to him. Man is shell-shocked.
You snort.
Simon points at you, and the waiter nods vigorously before scurrying over to your table.
He leans down to your level, cheeks so red they look purple, sweat on his forehead, huffing and puffing like he’s run a marathon.
“Ma’am, I’m sorry to interrupt, but—” A heaving breath through his stutter. “Your presence seems to be required at-at-at the Hereford SAS headquarters.”
He lowers his voice, then. “Something about the p-passing of an officer, uhm—your husband.”
You choke. Slam a hand on your chest. Mr. Classified seems concerned and has his hands hovering your way but never touching you in the slightest.
Helpful.
“The what?” You hiss, looking behind you at Simon with straight-up murder in your eyes.
The mask hides it, but you know he’s got the biggest smirk plastered on his face.
“You’re married?” Mr. Classified asks. Fuck him too.
“No.” You bark but then realise that it’s not his fault if your lieutenant is a bastard. Gingerly, you clear your throat and add more softly. “Not… anymore.”
Gotta fake it if you want to get out of here.
You sigh.
The waiter stands there awkwardly as you apologise to your date for not telling him about your non-existent dead husband. You stand up from the table, pretending heartache, while the waiter hovers around you and right in your business.
When you feel him too much into your space, you blink at him, plastering on a polite smile.
“Yes?”
He’s sweating profusely. The Ghost effect.
“The-the soldier, there—" he gives a subtle nod to where Simon stands. “—said I have to escort you b-because you’re a suspect.”
The appalled look on your face must be a sight to swear by.
You glare at Simon.
He shifts his weight on his other foot, arms crossed in front of his chest. Smug, like he’s having the time of his life.
“Yes.” You reply with a sigh, “Please, escort me.”
You don’t bother turning around to face Mr. Classified. He must be wearing the same shock the waiter is sporting. After all, in his eyes, hasn’t he just shared a dinner with a murder suspect?
What a tale to share.
“Thank you, sir.” Simon tells the waiter when you both reach him, deep baritone heavy yet gentle.
He grabs you by the crook of your elbow.
“Gonna bring this one to justice.” He adds theatrically.
The waiter nods like his head might crack in half if he doesn’t.
“Thank you, sir.” He parrots, “Thank you for your service.”
At the statement, used and abused without any regard for its meaning, you scoff in his face.
Simon tugs you by your arm, and your heels scrape against the floor.
Finally, you find your footing and follow him out.
Tumblr media
Simon came to pick you up in a fucking Humvee.
He said it was in case the restaurant had those big windows that look out on the streets, so he could make an even bigger scene. All because you interrupted him while he watched the man u match even if they were painfully losing, he said.
When you asked him where the fuck did he get it since he should’ve been home on R&R and not at base, he told you that he had an IOU to cash in with one of the higher-ranking officers.
Baffling, to say the least, that he’s used it to embarrass you.
Yet not something you would put past him.
Still, though, as soon as you enter the car and he starts shedding layers of tac gear, mask included, the first thing he asks isif you’re alright.
You nod with a soft smile.
“McDonald’s?” He asks, then.
You cock a brow.
“I just had dinner.”
The engine rumbles as he turns the key in the ignition.
“No ya haven’t.”
He drags the shift stick back and puts the car in reverse. His hand comes to grasp the back of your seat as he looks to the rear window.
It takes a whole lot of resolve to not gawk at the way the tendons in his forearm tighten and bulge. You manage.
Thank fuck he can’t check if you’re salivating, because you are.
Because this car smells of him. It shouldn’t, because it isn’t his car. It’s a military vehicle, a big fat Hummer with enough space to host a task force, and from what you know someone else might have been using it all day before he got the keys.
And still, his scent invades it, dominates it, and you realize how much you’ve missed it. Missed waking up to it, missed having it stain your clothes, sometimes your uniform too. Memories flood, and something in your chest clenches.
Control yourself, for fuck's sake.
You turn your eyes away from him.
“How d’you know?”
He shifts into first as he finally leaves the car park. He shoots you a brief side glance, before returning his eyes on the road.
“Clocked your plate full even from afar,” he says plainly. “Bloke talked that much, uh?”
“You got no idea.” You sigh, exhausted. “Told me he’s military and then pulled the classified card.”
His lips twitch, and then his chest rumbles in a low, low chuckle you haven’t heard in a while.
You laugh with him.
Tumblr media
Simon takes you to a drive-through. He orders what he knows you like, because this definitely isn’t the first time you two sneak out in the middle of the night only to eat something that isn’t the slob from the mess hall.
He drives a little further to find that nice parking spot next to the motorway. Once again, not the first time you’ve been here.
Sometimes with Johnny in the back and Kyle smoking a ciggie by the car window—couldn’t have the Humvee smell of nicotine and stale cigarettes when you’d return it (not so) surreptitiously later on.
Sometimes just the two of you, when new soldiers moved in the neighbouring barracks and Simon wanted you to scream without the pressure of being found out.
You punch the straw in your Coke and bring it to your lips. The carton box of chips is precariously balanced on your bare thighs.
Simon’s already munching on his burger.
“Thank you, by the way,” you break the comfortable silence first.
He shrugs.
“He was a right pain,” you go on. “Kept going on about—”
“—His dog, how much he benches, his hair care routine.”
You choke on your coke and then your head swivels to him.
“Okay—were you spying on me?”
He levels you with a deadpan look.
“Bloke like that’s only got one type o’ chat,” he explains, “And it’s all ‘bout him. You should’ve known, eh?”
He flicks your temple. You splutter.
“What?” He nods in your direction, swallowing a mouthful. “Went on leave an’ lost all those brains?”
You swat his hand away.
“Shut up.” You grumble, feeling your cheeks heat up.
He mercifully lets it go and returns his attention to his meal.
Even a burger that big looks awfully small in Simon’s hands. You used to look small in Simon’s hands, somehow—skin pliant and soft. Dimpling under his fingertips, folding easily with just the press of his big palm in his desired direction.
Same hands that used to hold you still by the waist, hands that handled you until you’d turn into putty on the mattress. Fingers long and skilled when they curled around your neck, cutting your airways just enough to make your head spin. Fingers that you’ve had all over: in your hair, on your stomach, down your throat, in your cunt.
Fuck.
Some ketchup spills out of his burger and onto his thumb. He brings it to his lips and purses them on his pad to suck it off.
Fuckfuckfuck.
You turn away and stuff your mouth with chips.
“How’d you find him anyway?” He asks after a while. “Apps?”
You balance your cup on the large center console as you shake your head in negative. Your response comes muffled by a mouthful of food.
“Pub down the road,” you tell him, gesturing vaguely at the windshield. “The one close to HQ.”
“The Bell?”
You swallow. Nod your head. “Mhmh.”
“Should’ve known.” He muses, and you hear him scrunching up the paper that once held his burger. “Proper dive, that. Full o’ fucked up blokes.”
You roll your eyes.
“You’re an avid frequenter,” you say, mouth full and eyes averted to your cardboard of chips.
He doesn’t snort, nor does he laugh it off. Instead, you can only hear the rapid tap of fingernails on the leather of the wheel filling the suddenly heavy silence that settled.
“No’ anymore.” He replies after a beat.
The tone doesn’t match the flippant vibe heard in the Humvee until now. He’s serious and levelled, like he’s stating some important matter he needs to unhook from his chest.
You swallow your chips like they’re cement.
“And why’s that?” You venture.
Simon shifts uncomfortably in the driver’s seat. The leather squeaks, his jeans rustle where his thighs rub together.
“Don’t fit with the crowd is all.” He says quietly.
“What crowd?”
“The fucked up one.”
When you turn his way, you still.
Simon’s eyes are already on you.
His gaze is tangible. Sticks to you like damp fabric. You can almost feel his fingers draw mindless circles there, where your skin is heating up under the heaviness of his eyes.
Whatever reply you had ready for him dies choked in your throat.
Your shoulders are stiff, your body’s too warm. Tongue like sandpaper stuck to your palate.
It’s been so long since Simon looked at you like he truly wanted you—like nothing else in the world mattered more.
For months, his eyes have wandered everywhere but to you, and until now, you thought that was a blessing. Because if he didn’t look at you this way, maybe letting him go would’ve been easier.
But now, as his eyes hold yours, you can’t fathom how you’ve managed to go so long without it.
You match his intensity, as the air in the Humvee grows heavy and thick. Cement is poured into your chest until you’re not sure how to breathe right anymore.
“Not fucked anymore, you think?” Your voice is raspy and feeble, like there’s something tying your vocal cords in a perfect knot.
You know he can’t affirm anything in that regard. Lord knows he’s fucked, and you can’t even add your two cents about it because you’d act like the pot calling the kettle black.
And yet, he replies softly. “Not as fucked, I reckon, no.”
Your brows pinch. Eyes big and languid, searching his—rich, hooded, sincere.
“And you?” He rumbles, hesitant for the first time.
You blink.
“Me?” You mouth with your lips, voice stuck somewhere in your chest.
He nods your way. “Still an avid frequenter o’ the fucked-up crowd?”
You blink. A laugh breathes out of you without you even considering it first.
Almost naturally, you reply with a whispered, “No. Not as avid, I think.”
Simon’s lips twitch upward, and then his hand lifts your way, though never reaches out enough to touch you. He lets it hover in the space in between, fingers soft and curled inwards.
It trembles. Terrible characteristic for a sniper. In fact, you don’t think you’ve ever seen it happen to him. Always steady, always sure.
Your eyes fall on it. On the scars crisscrossing his knuckles, on the callouses of his pads and the raw spot on his thumb.
When you look up again, Simon’s eyes are a pool, open wide and waiting for you to just dive in it.
He says your name. Not your rank, callsign, bullshit loves, and pets, and the pretty ensemble. He says it low, heavy, like his tongue is a cinderblock and it’s so, so hard for him to speak it.
It’s almost a warning, you think. Your brain ponders it: the tone, the lilt, the volume. All of it, and you conclude that you are, in fact, wrong.
It’s no warning, no threat. It’s a plea.
Your eyes fall instinctively down the curve of his nose, to his lips. Lips you’ve kissed, lips that travelled every inch of your skin. Drank every sound you’ve ever spilled. Worshipped it, made it his. Coveted it carefully, in secret, until you noticed how those same breaths, those same noises, never left your mouth again, not after him.
Lost in his features, you don’t see how his eyes are focused on your lips as well.
And when you look up, he does too.
Something’s exchanged between you. Something written in the line between his brows as he frowns in concentration, in the tremble of your lips as they struggle to form words, requests, the barrage of questions you want to ask.
The mutual, soft, and barely veiled Please, please kiss me again.
His jaw shifts.
"Just say the word."
You gulp—fruitless. Your throat is dry, your lips unresponsive. Cursing yourself for not being ready now that you need it. Struggling to express the absolute beast that's scratching something violent in your chest.
You barely manage to break through it.
"Kiss me."
You blink and Simon’s lips are on yours.
Your stomach drops. You don’t think you can breathe.
He takes the lead when you go motionless, cupping the back of your head with both hands to pull you in. Your fingers grasp his forearms, flexing around them to make sure he’s real.
Only when your mouth opens and the kiss deepens do you unravel.
You melt in his hold, closing your eyes all the way and breathing heavily from your nose, because you’re not parting from him ever again.
Simon might think the same, because the passion with which you kiss him is thoroughly matched. His arms wrap around your waist, and you don’t spare a moment to turn on the passenger seat until you’re on your knees.
Chips spill everywhere on the floor. None of you care.
He helps you across the centre console until you’re straddling his thighs. Your knee knocks over the cup and coke spills everywhere.
And fuck, none of you care.
Humvees are big but never big enough for this. Granted, it’s not the purpose for which they were created. You hunch down when your head hits the padded roof, holding him by the sides of his face until he tips it back.
You taste his breath as it puffs on your mouth while he kisses you fiercely.
Simon pulls back. Cradles your face in his hands and his fingers dig into your scalp at the back.
“Fuckin’ hell,” he growls. Low, and breathy, and with that hint of disbelief that matches the one in your eyes. He brushes your cheeks with his thumbs, and you do the same.
He lunges forward, then. Captures your mouth briefly before travelling downwards, where open kisses make goosebumps rise on your arms. Big hands envelop your hips as he pulls you down, grinding you against the hard tent of his jeans.
And you comply, humping your sex—impossibly wet—to the seam covering the zipper. He grunts in your neck every single time. The sound makes you vibrate, a strange sort of power in the knowledge that he’s making it because of you, and you only.
The world moves slowly around you, like it wants the night to last hours and hours more. A small favour in exchange for what you do for it, keeping it clean and all the rubbish you’re told so you can live peacefully with your actions.
Perhaps tonight you believe them all.
You don’t think you’ve ever been this vocal with him, and it’s not even theatrics.
You just love it.
It’s overwhelming to have him hold you again, touch you, eat at your skin with the same intense desperation you’re gripping his hair with. Pressing his face into your neck as he sucks at the spot where it meets your shoulder, thundering heartbeat under his tongue. Darker spots blossom shameless in his wake, drawing a perfect mosaic of colours you’ll trace with your fingers come morning.
When Simon feels your hips do the work by themselves, he busies his hands with your dress. Rides it up your thighs until it bunches at your waist. Kneads the fat of your ass, landing a slap that makes you jolt.
Makes you moan.
And Simon drinks it just in time, swallowing it with a kiss that takes your breath away. Then, he rapidly travels down your throat, following the line of love bites all the way to your chest.
His teeth sink into the softer flesh there. Long fingers pull down the neckline of your dress until your tits spill out. He mouths a path to your nipple, sucking until it pebbles on his tongue. His teeth graze around it and you hiss at the perfect balance of pain and pleasure it creates.
And when his free hand comes to pinch at your other nipple, he pulls a little too hard.
You clench a fist in his hair and look down at him, hips falling still.
“Oi.” You frown.
His chest heaves. Yours matches the pants that leave your lips.
He wrinkles his nose, in that how dare you stop me way. But this time there’s something impish in there, like he knows what he’s doing and just likes to pull your chain. Lighthearted in a way you never dared to associate with Simon Riley.
How beautiful he looks with this new light bathing his eyes.
“What.”
You scoff. Your heart goes through several different stages of frustration, exasperation, anger, tenderness and love. Familiarity. Settling on the latter, until you recognize the glint in his eyes, the same one he had all those months back, when he was on his knees.
Lust, care, love, regret.
“Gentle.” You tell him as your chest softens, your voice still mockingly altered. “You’re not tuning the bloody radio.”
“Ha!” His lips twitch upward. “Coulda fooled me.”
Simon pinches your nipple in retaliation, but it makes you chuckle this time. When he’s sure you’re okay, he pulls your lips down in a kiss that’s starting to taste of you, and you like how the salt of your skin seems to belong so naturally on his tongue.
You kiss him through your smile as the air turns hot again. The windows slowly grow misty and opaque, creating a space around you that’s soft and insulated and safe.
Simon splays his palm on your stomach. Turns it so his fingers face downward. He inches closer to your sex, grazing the lace of your underwear, until the pad of his middle finger presses to the wet spot formed on the gusset.
There, he stops. Waits for you.
No need for words. You don’t want his lips to leave yours and you don’t fancy taking the risk of pulling away.
In fact, there’s little hesitation when your hand journeys down his shoulder to his forearm, tracing the hair growing over it and the odd bump of a scar here and there. You travel until your palm cups his knuckles, your middle finger over his, pressing it down to the swollen knot of your clit.
Simon draws a few experimental rolls, ones you encourage with the movement of your hips, with the puffs of breath all but pushed out of you and into the kiss.
A kiss he reciprocates, open and hot.
Moving your panties aside, Simon only brushes your entrance at first, finding it sodden already. And when you more than enthusiastically respond to his touch, he plunges his finger inside.
Your breath itches, eyes fluttering shut, mouth open against his own.
Simon drags his finger slowly, in and out, not teasingly but to let you adjust, to allow you to mould around his shape. And he does so until he feels you positively drip on his palm, softer around him yet clenching at the welcomed intrusion.
He adds a second finger. The stretch is delicious, fulfilling. Scratches an itch you couldn’t quite reach on your own, nor could the scattered toys you’ve bought and abandoned.
It’s a touch you’re comfortable with, one you know and can predict but not in a way that makes it boring. You just know he’ll feed the starvation, satisfy the drought.
He buries his fingers to the knuckle, until his palm is flat to your sex, heel pressing to your clit. Simon rolls it a few times and then lets you take the lead, keeping his hand still.
You ride his fingers by canting your hips in the way you like, stimulating both your g-spot and your clit. Simon keeps your mouth on his with a hand of steel glued to the back of your neck—unnecessary, because you have no intention of pulling away.
The first orgasm makes your head spin—you haven’t had a good one like this in quite some time. It coils around your stomach until it's knotted so tight you have no other option but to groan in his mouth to release the tension it built.
Simon’s fingers flex both at your nape and inside of you, pulling you impossibly closer, noses slotting next to each other. He breathes just as heavily as you do, as if your orgasm has somehow rattled him as well.
There are no formalities in the way he moves, in the way he leaves your still clenching cunt empty—wet fingers reaching for his belt, unbuckling in haste.
The sound of clinking metal manages to pass through the cotton barrier in your ears. It wakes you, prickles your skin that’s already burning hot.
You help him. Yours and his fingers try to work together but somehow make it harder to achieve the same goal. You chuckle when you both reach for the zipper and he playfully swats your hand away, taking the lead instead.
You feel him twitch a smile against your kiss.
He untucks himself from his briefs. The urge to look down is impossible to resist and so you do, catching the glint on the head of his cock as it leaks with precum, wetter than you’ve ever seen him be.
Your stomach tightens. Now that's a mouthwatering sight that never ceases to amaze you.
Simon pats your ass as an invite to scoot forward. He languidly drags the tip along your slit to collect some of your wetness. You jolt each time he catches your swollen clit.
When he lines himself with your entrance, you start sinking on him—nails digging into the cotton of his sweatshirt on his shoulders.
Simon stretches you wonderfully. He would slide in easily considering the way you’re dripping—it’s you who wants to take it slow in order to catch each muted reaction with ears and eyes, lips brushing his own.
And then you envelop him fully, taking his cock to the hilt.
“Fuck.” He croaks, and falls still.
The hand on your hip grips it painfully tight. The one on your nape locks your forehead to his. His breath comes out in heavy puffs, eyes wrenched closed.
Simon looks very vulnerable now. Much at your mercy. He doesn’t want you to move, clearly, and has full trust you won’t. For him. Maybe for you too, otherwise this will end much sooner than you both want it to.
But still, you brush the tip of your nose with his. He opens his eyes, iris swallowed whole.
“Alright?” You ask quietly.
He brushes his nose back with yours.
“Alrigh’,” he rumbles. “Been a while is all.”
You purse your lips in a wry smile.
“Has it now.”
He hums, narrowing his eyes. “Didn’t fancy goin’ ‘round breakin’ any more hearts.”
“How considerate, lieutenant.”
“Aye, that’s me.”
“Not quite.”
He pinches the fat on your hip.
“Cheeky,” he says, watching your eyes smile.
You scrunch your nose, shaking your head from side to side.
“Eh, you love it.”
And he takes you off guard.
“I do," he says firmly, like that's some fundamental truth.
His hand moves to your cheek, thumb right under your eye brushing softly where the skin is thinner.
You like having him like this, with his face to yours, his lips within reach. It’s a strange thing, not having to turn your head around to reach for a sliver of skin to press a kiss to. Not having to find cotton instead of warm flesh, instead of soft lips.
You feel like you can, now—take the chance without finding a door being shut in your face.
In fact, your lips find his naturally, and he responds like it’s easy, like it’s something you do every time.
He kisses you slowly as his hand descends down your back to grab your hip. Then, he guides you, initiating the movements, and you follow through.
It begins gently, with your breaths in sync, lips just close enough for either of you to share a kiss if the moment feels right. Your hands cradle the slopes of his neck, his own fit in the crease between your hips and thighs.
It’s very quiet, you think, unlike the grunts and groans of the previous times. Now there's only Simon’s pants, your own efforts to keep your voice low, breathy moans occasionally interrupted by the smacking of lips.
And then he fits his palms under the round fat of your rear, lifting you up and then guiding you down at once. Your voice cracks, shattered into broken moans that Simon matches with his own.
Suddenly, you both want more. You feel it in the grip he has on your ass, in the hungry shadows of his eyes. You feel it in yourself, the heat pooling lower and lower, starving hands clutching the hair at his nape.
You prop yourself on your knees, as comfortably as you can, and start riding Simon even if your hamstrings are aching, thighs clenched and hard to the touch.
You go on and on, one hand perched on the padded roof and the other flat on the car window, mist disappearing in the shape of dragged fingers and scratching nails.
Warm pleasure collects in your belly. So hot it drips all the way to your toes, curling in your black heels clasped around your ankles. Your pace starts getting frantic, almost clumsy in the desperation to reach that high again, expecting it to be much better than the previous one since now Simon is fully sheathed inside of you.
You hold his eyes as the air catches in your chest and you fall silent. Breaths clipped and choked, like moans that you can’t articulate. Throat tight, tight, and tighter.
Simon seems to notice the signs, attentive as ever, and he dips three fingers in his mouth before bringing them to your clit. He swipes side to side with the same urgency of your hips, clit pebbled and raw soothed by the warm smoothness of his spit.
You cum hard. It’s a wave that almost crushes you against him, so hot you feel like suffocating. Your body collapses on him, as you pant loud and shrill into the curve of his neck. Simon’s cock is buried all the way in, while your tired hips twitch helplessly to both prolong your high and escape it.
And so, Simon takes it upon himself. Lifts you up and drops you down until you’re whimpering in his shoulder, teeth sinking in the taut muscles of his traps and nails digging into his back.
By then, Simon’s hanging on by thread and you know it even in your fucked-out state.
When the overstimulation hits and a rough string of curses leaves your lips right into his ear, Simon snaps.
With a grunt that rattles your chest, he pulls you down until he’s flush with you, and you swear you can feel him in your throat. His hips hump upwards as if that might somehow drive him deeper, and then he fills you with warmth, hot and liquid. Inevitably, it spills out, dripping thick down his thighs and onto the car seats.
Simon holds you like that, catching his breath as you catch yours.
He peppers your shoulder with kisses. Big hands clutch the back of your dress as it dampens with your sweat until his arms finally wrap you whole—so tight your breath leaves you in a gasp.
“Missed you,” he says, breathing your name reverently.
And why on earth should you not believe him, this time—with his face in your neck, his heart on his sleeve.
You lift your head to kiss his cheek. The cracks in your lips sting as they unexpectedly meet fine tracks of salt water.
Your heart skips a beat.
“Missed you too, Si."

❛ rafe hates to see you laughing with another guy
Rafe thought you looked beautiful tonight – too beautiful. He’d lounged on your bed while you got ready, arms tucked behind his head, watching you through half-lidded eyes like you were a dream he hadn’t earned. His hoodie was already slipping off your shoulder before you left. Your lip gloss was perfect. He thought you’d keep laughing like that for him.
But now? Now you’re laughing like that for someone else. Some guy in a backwards cap, leaning too close. His voice is loud, but yours is softer. and sweet. God, it’s so sweet.
Rafe watches from across the room, posture slack but jaw locked, solo cup crushed in his hand. Barry says something. He doesn’t hear it.
He just sees you: pretty mouth smiling, knees crossed, head tipped back, eyes lit up like you’ve never looked at him that way.
Barry nudges him. "You good?" "Fine," he lies, already walking away. Outside, the night air stings. Fog coils at his ankles like it’s trying to pull him under. He's by your car, head down, fists shoved in his pockets like he's holding back something sharp.
You find him there. your breath visible, your voice careful. "Hey." He doesn’t look at you. "Are you mad?" You whisper, almost scared. His laugh is low. bitter. "Why would I be?" You tug on his sleeve, fingertips grazing his wrist. He flinches—then stills. Your touch is warm, grounding. You step in closer. His heartbeat stutters. He smells like wind and salt and jealousy.
"I only ever laugh like that with you, I promise," you whisper sweetly. Something in him breaks open. His chest caves in like a lung giving out. He turns to you slowly, like he's afraid you'll disappear. His eyes are soft now, full of hurt and heat and something he won’t say aloud.
He reaches for your hand. grips it like it’s the last thing keeping him steady. "Don’t do that," he breathes. "What?" "Act like you’re not mine." You don’t speak—you just rest your head against his chest, right over that frantic heart of his. His arms wrap around you with the kind of reverence that says, Please don’t ever leave.
just friends. But, God, how do you explain this kind of love?

Summary: Sam and Dean have been ignoring you but Castiel still tries to include you.
Warnings: None
Age: 14-16
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The bunker felt colder than usual. Not in temperature - no, the heat still hummed through the old pipes and radiators - but in the way people spoke, or didn’t.
You sat in the war room, fingers wrapped around a lukewarm mug of coffee, watching the glow of the map table flicker faintly. Sam and Dean were down the hall, voices low, laughter occasional, but they hadn’t spoken more than a handful of words to you in days.
Not since the last hunt went sideways. Not since the salt rounds ran out and Dean had to pull you out of that abandoned house half-conscious. Not since Sam blamed you for missing the sigil that would’ve ended things faster.
You didn’t fight back. You understood. At least, you thought you did.
Still, it hurt.
"You're not invisible."
You turned your head quickly, startled by the voice - low, gravelly, calm. Castiel stood at the edge of the room, trench coat rumpled as always, blue eyes studying you carefully.
“They’re just… processing,” he added. “But that doesn’t make it right to leave you alone.”
You tried to smile. “I’m used to it.”
Cas tilted his head. “That doesn’t mean you should be.”
He crossed the room, pulling out the chair beside you. It creaked under him as he sat, hands folded in his lap like he wasn’t sure what to do with them. “I brought something,” he said, suddenly awkward. He reached into his coat and pulled out a small, battered paperback book.
“‘The Ballad of Reading Gaol,’” you read from the cover.
“It’s one of my favorites. I thought… maybe we could read it together.”
You blinked. “You want to read poetry with me?”
He nodded. “Oscar Wilde understood being misunderstood.”
You laughed - an honest, soft sound you hadn’t heard from yourself in a while.
Sam and Dean passed by the door once. Neither of them looked in. But Castiel didn’t notice - or if he did, he didn’t care.
He read the first stanza aloud. His voice was rough around the edges, not smooth like a trained narrator, but full of heart.
And for the first time in days, the silence wasn’t so lonely.
You leaned back in your chair, letting Castiel’s steady voice fill the empty space around you. The bunker’s hum and the distant clatter of Dean digging through the fridge faded into the background.
Cas paused after a few pages, his thumb keeping the book open. He looked at you carefully. “You’re still upset.”
It wasn’t really a question, but you nodded anyway, blinking down at your coffee. It was cold now. Bitter.
“I don't know what to do,” you admitted, voice barely above a whisper. “They don’t trust me. Maybe they never did.”
Castiel frowned, a deep line forming between his brows. “You made a mistake. So have they. More times than they would admit.”
You managed a bitter laugh. “Yeah, but they always forgive each other. I’m just… the outsider.”
Castiel closed the book gently. He shifted in his seat so he was facing you more fully. “You are not expendable. You are not forgotten.” He hesitated, like he was weighing his next words carefully. “You are family, whether they acknowledge it right now or not.”
You didn’t realize your hands were trembling until he reached out and covered one with his own. His touch was warm, grounding.
“Maybe…” you said, voice cracking, “maybe it’s time to stop waiting for them to come around.”
Cas’s gaze softened. “Or maybe it’s time to remind them what they’re about to lose.”
Before you could talk yourself out of it, you pushed your chair back and stood. Your heart hammered against your ribs as you crossed the bunker hallway. You spotted Sam and Dean in the library, heads bent over a lore book.
They barely glanced up.
You cleared your throat. Loudly.
Dean finally looked up. His face was unreadable, guarded in a way that only made the ache in your chest worse.
Sam set his pen down, careful, deliberate. “Hey,” he said, like nothing was wrong. Like he hadn’t been freezing you out.
You folded your arms. “You’re mad. Fine. I get it. But if you’ve decided I’m not part of this anymore, just say it to my face.”
Dean’s jaw clenched. Sam opened his mouth, but for once, he didn’t have a ready answer.
“I nearly died trying to help you,” you continued, voice rising. “I made a mistake. But so have you—both of you. Hell, Dean, you’ve died more times than I can count, and we never left you behind.”
Dean’s expression cracked, just a little. His shoulders slumped.
Sam rubbed the back of his neck, guilt flashing across his face. “(Y/N)… we never meant to…”
“Didn’t you?” you shot back. “Because it sure felt like it.”
There was a long, aching pause.
Then Dean stood up slowly. “You’re right,” he said, voice rough. “You’re right. We screwed up.”
Sam gave a small, miserable nod. “We were scared. And we took it out on you. That’s not family. That’s not how this works.”
You stared at them for a long moment, every instinct screaming to turn around and leave them standing there.
But then Castiel was there behind you, a quiet, steady presence. Not pushing you either way - just… there.
You took a breath. “I’m not going to fight for a place you don’t want me in,” you said. “But I’m not going to disappear, either.”
Dean looked at you, real regret in his eyes. “We want you here. We’ve just been... idiots.”
Sam offered a small, almost sheepish smile. “Can you forgive us?”
You felt the crack in your heart start to mend, just a little. Not fully - but enough.
You didn’t say anything at first. Just walked forward and dropped heavily into a chair at the table. You looked up at them, daring them to do better.
Dean smirked faintly. “So... pizza and bad horror movies later?”
You raised an eyebrow. “Only if Cas gets to pick the movie.”
Cas, still behind you, looked startled. “I have many selections.”
Sam groaned playfully. “We’re doomed.”
You finally smiled for real. “Good. You deserve it.”
And for the first time in days, the bunker didn’t feel so cold anymore.

Talk | H.S. — LHH
Harry’s your ex. You’ve been broken up for a full year but man…. A reunion never felt so good.
Tumblr media
It’s your friend who notices him first.
You’re mid-laugh, clutching a half-empty tequila shot and feeling light from the salt, lime, and whatever it was she whispered in your ear—when her body tenses beside you.
Your laugh trails off, and you follow her gaze.
And there he is.
Harry.
The same Harry you’ve tried to scrub from your memories over the past year. Only now, he looks worse—better—than ever. Long hair curled at the ends. Broad shoulders stretching the seams of a black button-up. A few buttons undone, revealing the top of his chest and that stupid butterfly tattoo you used to trace with your tongue. Rings glint on his fingers. A drink in his hand. His other arm hangs loose at his side, inked and tensed, like he could crush steel if he wanted.
He’s already looking at you.
Your stomach twists. You inhale through your nose and lift your chin.
Smile. Cool. Unbothered.
But he starts walking over, and Maddie—your friend leans in close. “Shit. He’s coming.”
“I see that,” you mutter, downing the rest of your drink for courage.
Harry stops right in front of you. He doesn’t say anything for a beat. Just lets his gaze roam—slow, greedy, infuriating. You feel every inch of it like heat sliding up your spine.
Your black dress doesn’t help. Tight, short, clinging in all the places you know he used to worship. You wore it to feel hot tonight. Now it just feels dangerous.
He smirks. “Didn’t expect to see you here.”
You lift a brow. “Didn’t expect to care.”
His smirk fades—just a little. “Still stubborn as ever.”
You turn to face him fully. “Still arrogant.”
Harry looks at you for a long time. Really looks. His voice drops low. “You haven’t changed.”
You lick your lips. They’re dry. “You have?”
“I went to therapy.”
Your heart kicks. You swallow. “Good for you.”
He tilts his head. “You didn’t.”
You smile. Sharp. “Never will.”
He huffs out a soft, bitter laugh. “Yeah. That tracks.”
You hate that he still gets under your skin. That one look from him can turn your insides to static.
He leans in a little closer. “You look good.”
You shrug, glancing down his chest like it’s nothing. “So do you.”
But you both know it’s not nothing.
And later, after more tequila, more side-glances, more of Maddie’s not-so-subtle glares, you find yourself outside, fresh air trying to cool the ache inside your chest—and between your legs.
The door behind you opens.
You don’t need to turn around to know who it is.
He stops beside you. Silent for a moment. The night is warm, but his presence still makes your skin prickle.
“I know you don’t want to talk,” he says softly.
You stare ahead. “Good. Then don’t.”
He hums, a low, dry sound. “You gonna keep pretending we didn’t look at each other all night like we wanted to fuck against the bar?”
You glance at him. “That what you want?”
His eyes flash. “It’s what you want too.”
You don’t respond. But your silence is loud.
He steps closer. “You want me to wreck you so you can forget all the shit you never say out loud. That it?”
You clench your jaw.
“You want to pretend it’s just sex. It never is with us.”
You turn to face him, stepping right into his space. He doesn’t move back.
“You want to talk about feelings,” you murmur, “I want to come so hard I forget yours.”
His mouth twitches. “Still such a brat.”
“And you’re still obsessed.”
He leans down, nose brushing yours. “Get in the car.”
You hesitate for half a second.
Then you do.
The second the door shuts behind you, his hands are on your hips, mouth finding yours with years of hunger behind it. He kisses you like he’s punishing you for leaving. For never changing. For not being ready. For not being him.
You moan into his mouth. Bite his lower lip. Tug his curls.
He groans. “You wore that dress to fuck with me.”
You grin. “You always were easy.”
He grabs your thighs and yanks you into his lap. “Say that again.”
You grind your hips against his, gasping when you feel how hard he already is through his jeans. Your lips brush his ear.
“You’re hard for me and I haven’t even touched you yet,” you whisper.
Harry’s hands slide under your dress, rings cold on your thighs. “You think you’re in control?”
You lean back. “Aren’t I?”
And then he slides two fingers into your panties. Just like that.
Your breath stutters.
He feels it. Smirks. “Soaked.”
You try not to whimper when his fingers start circling your clit. Slow. Torturous.
“You’re already dripping for me and I haven’t even eaten you out.”
“Harry—”
“No.” His fingers stop. “Say what you want.”
“I want you,” you pant.
“Not enough.”
You grind against his palm. “I want your mouth. Your cock. I want to be ruined, okay?”
He lifts you suddenly, pushes you back onto the seat, and kneels between your legs.
“Still don’t know how to say you miss me,” he mutters, “but you’re happy to beg to be fucked.”
He licks up your thigh—slow, deliberate.
“Maybe if I make you come on my tongue, you’ll find your words.”
He goes down on you like he’s missed the taste every night for a year. Tongue deep. Fingers rubbing just right. You cry out, hands yanking his curls, grinding against his face as he eats you like he needs it to breathe.
You’re close. So close—
And he stops.
“No—”
“You wanna come?” he growls. “You talk.”
You glare down at him, thighs shaking. “I need you. Please. I missed you.”
He grabs a condom, tears it open, rolls it on.
“Good girl.”
He slams into you hard and fast and you both moan at the first thrust. His hips roll, precise and filthy, filling you just the way he always did—like he knows your body better than you do.
“Fuck,” you gasp. “Harry—harder—”
He grips your throat. Tight enough to make you gasp. Not enough to scare you. Just enough to say you’re mine.
“You gonna listen now?” he hisses.
You nod desperately, back arching. “Yes—yes, I’ll listen, please, please—”
His thrusts get harder, meaner. You’re almost crying.
Then he pulls out. Rips off the condom. Tosses it aside.
“Harry—what the fuck—?”
“I want to feel you. All of you.”
You freeze. Blink. You should say no.
But instead you whisper, “Yes.”
He thrusts back in—bare—and it’s like your body splits open. Raw. Skin to skin. Nothing between you.
You both groan. Loud. Uncontrolled.
He growls in your ear. “You’ve never felt like this.”
You sob his name.
He flips you, face pressed into the seat, ass up, his hand smacking you once, twice.
You whine. “More—”
He spanks you again, hand then sliding up your back, curling around your neck as he pounds into you, the car rocking with every thrust.
“Say it,” he demands. “Say you need me.”
You’re almost delirious. “I need you. I need you, Harry—fuck—”
“You coming for me?”
“Yes—oh my God—yes—”
And when you come, it’s messy and loud and full of everything you never say out loud.
He follows seconds after, hips stuttering as he buries himself deep and spills inside you—hot, thick, and claiming—your name breaking from his throat in a low, desperate groan against your skin.
You sit in silence after. Breathing hard. Still shaking.
Harry pulls his shirt back on. Looks at you.
“I still love you.”
You stare at the ceiling. “Don’t do this.”
“I want us again.”
You sigh. “You’ve changed.”
He nods. “Yeah. I have.”
You meet his eyes. “But I haven’t.”
He exhales. Nods again. “You could try.”
You give him a tired smile. “Maybe.”
But you both know it’s a lie.
You’ll see him again.
You always do.

The game is supposed to be fun, but the moment the bottle stops spinning, you know this is going to be anything but. It lands on Theo, and a wave of dread washes over you.
Your ex. Of all the people in the room, it had to be him. Your heart sinks, but you force yourself to stand up, the weight of all the eyes on you making it harder to breathe.
Theo doesn’t even look at you as you both head to the small, suffocating closet. The door clicks shut, and there’s an instant, heavy silence between you.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Theo mutters, shifting uncomfortably in the cramped space. His shoulder brushes yours, and you can feel the tension between you rise like smoke.
“Nice to see you too,” you snap, your voice tight.
He doesn’t respond. Instead, he lets out a frustrated sigh and shifts again, knocking into you. “This is ridiculous. We can’t even move in here.”
“Gee, you think?” you snap back, the words almost escaping before you can stop them. The anger from your past with him surges unexpectedly, and your chest tightens. “It’s not like I wanted to be stuck in here with you, but here we are.”
Theo’s eyes flash with irritation. “You think I wanted this too? You’re the one who spun the bottle.” He shifts awkwardly, trying to make room for himself but only making things worse. His elbow jabs into your side, and you flinch.
“You could at least be a little more careful,” you mutter, your voice strained.
“I am careful! You’re the one moving around every time I try to do something. Just stop fidgeting, alright?”
“Stop blaming me for your mess,” you snap, trying to push him away, but there's no space. “You can’t even stay still for five seconds without knocking into me.”
Theo groans in frustration. “God, you’re impossible!” His voice is low but full of venom, and for a moment, you’re reminded of how it felt when you two fought like this before. How everything escalated, how he always made you feel like you were the one overreacting. You take a breath, pushing that thought away. Now’s not the time.
“Don’t start,” you warn, your voice shaky but cold. "Not in here."
“Not in here?” Theo sneers, and suddenly there’s a sharp edge to his voice. “You don’t get to tell me what to do anymore. You gave that up when you broke up with me.”
The words hit you like a slap. For a second, you can’t breathe, the weight of that old wound opening up again. His words are like salt on an old, raw scar. You had tried so hard to forget that night—the way everything fell apart between you two—but hearing him say it out loud makes it all feel fresh again.
“I didn’t—” you start, your voice cracking, but you stop yourself. You had your reasons for ending things, but now isn’t the time to rehash it. “That’s not what this is about.”
Theo scoffs, his face contorted with frustration. “Then what is it about, huh? You act like we’re fine, like this isn’t killing you inside. You think I’m enjoying this? Being stuck in a closet with you?”
“Then why don’t you leave?” you hiss. “If it’s so bad, why don’t you just go?”
“Maybe I will.” His voice is barely above a whisper, but the bitterness in it is unmistakable. He shoves his hand through his hair, then steps on your foot.
“Great,” you snap, your patience finally running out. “You’re making it worse.”
“Me? You’re the one overreacting,” Theo grumbles, stepping back only to bump into you again.
“I am not overreacting,” you retort. "You’re the one acting like this whole thing is a tragedy. But you know what? It’s not my fault we’re here. It’s your fault for—”
“For what? For loving you?!” Theo cuts you off, his voice cracking with old pain, the raw emotion surfacing despite his attempts to hide it.
"And for some reason loving me involved you constantly flirting with other girls? always canceling dates? only coming to me when you were hurt but never when I was? that wasn't love Theo. I was just convenient for you."
The words hang between you, thick and suffocating. You can feel your pulse in your throat as your chest tightens. your anger, your hurt—it all comes rushing back. All the feelings you thought you buried. All the love, the heartbreak, the why behind everything that happened.
Theo takes a shaky breath, but before he can respond, the buzzer goes off, cutting the tension like a knife.
You both stumble out of the closet, not looking at each other, your hearts pounding in your chests. Your friends are watching, but all you can hear is the echo of Theo’s words. You’re both pretending it’s over, but the damage is done, and the old wounds between you two are raw and open again.

Jealousy: Tendou (NSFW)
The event was a swirl of warm lighting, soft laughter, and the rich, heady scent of tempered chocolate and burnt sugar.
Somewhere in the heart of Tokyo, a five-star patisserie had been transformed into an evening affair—a private industry showcase for chefs, culinary press, and the occasional wide-eyed investor. Tendou Satori moved through the space like he belonged to it. Which, of course, he did.
You stood near the back wall, watching him with an easy smile. Even dressed in black slacks and a soft linen shirt, half-buttoned and rolled at the forearms, he looked like trouble. The smooth curve of his freshly-shaved head caught the ambient light, shining faintly as he turned in profile to greet a cluster of press. He was striking—his angular features more mature now, but his grin still full of mischief, his eyes always dancing.
You were his plus one tonight—his girlfriend, his anchor, his favorite distraction. And while you didn’t know the first thing about ganache ratios or butter emulsions, you did know the way he talked about his craft with such unfiltered joy. It was endearing. Infectious. Sexy.
The event had gone well—Tendou had been in his element, the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand as he joked his way through tasting stations and critiques. You’d lingered behind while he stayed back to help clean up, perched near the edge of the room, sipping something bubbly and watching him from afar.
That’s when Ryouta—one of the younger chefs, clean-cut and too confident—approached you again. You’d met him earlier, briefly, and now he was back, a tray of glossy pastries balanced on one hand.
“Still hungry?” he asked with a smirk, holding out a delicate lemon-honey tart on a golden tasting spoon.
“It was really good,” you admitted politely.
“Here,” he said, stepping closer, holding out a dark, glossy square balanced on a miniature spatula. “This one’s been giving me trouble all month—bittersweet ganache with orange blossom and sea salt. Let me know if it actually works this time.”
He watched you intently as you leaned forward. “It’s all about the bloom at the end. Should hit just after the salt fades.”
You bit. Smiled.
“Yeah?” he asked, already reaching into the tray again. “Alright. Try this one too—different profile, less floral.”
He held it between two fingers, lifted it toward your lips.
You hesitated. “Uh…”
“It’s fine,” he laughed. “Happens all the time at these things. No one touches anything with their own hands.”
That logic was questionable, but the dessert smelled incredible, so you took it gently from his fingers and let it melt on your tongue. Rich. Decadent. It bloomed in layers—bitter, then sweet, then citrus.
You were nodding in delight when a voice—low and sing-song—broke the moment in two.
“Well, this looks cozy.”
You turned.
Tendou stood just a few feet away, hands in his pockets, head tilted like a cat watching something wiggle in the grass. His expression was all sharp corners and candy-coated charm, but you could see it—the tension. The tightness in his shoulders. The twitch of his jaw as his eyes dragged over Ryouta’s hand, still hovering too close to your mouth.
“Oh, Satori,” Ryouta said, laughing. “She’s got a good palate. I was just letting her—”
“Feed her with your fingers?” Tendou cut in, smiling wide. “How generous.”
You blinked. “Wait, it’s not like—”
But he was already by your side. He slid an arm around your waist and plucked your champagne flute from your hand like it had offended him personally.
“We’re gonna head out,” he said cheerfully to no one in particular. “Enjoy the rest of the night. Try not to lose any more chocolates to strangers.”
And then he was guiding you—no, steering you—toward the doors. Not rough, not rude, but with enough silent urgency that you didn’t ask questions.
Not until you were in the car.
“Okay,” you said slowly. “What was that?”
Tendou didn’t answer at first. His fingers drummed against his knee, eyes fixed on the city lights flashing past the window.
You leaned in. “Satori.”
“I watched another man feed you dessert with his fingers,” he said, tone bright and clipped. “Which was wild, by the way.”
You blinked. “He’s a chef.”
He turned his head toward you, smiling a little too wide. “So am I. But I don’t let people lick chocolate off my hands unless they’re gonna moan about it later.”
Your cheeks flushed. “I didn’t moan.”
“Not yet.”
The rest of the ride was quiet. But your body wasn’t. Your heart drummed loud in your ears, a slow and fluttery pulse you could feel all the way down your arms. There was a weight behind his silence that made your thighs press together involuntarily, your breath shallow with anticipation.
Every glance he didn’t give you felt like a brush of fire, and every flex of his fingers against his knee sent a little jolt down your spine. You were still tasting the chocolate—but now it was wrapped in tension, thick with something dangerous and deeply personal. It sat behind your teeth like a promise unspoken.
But the moment the door shut behind you both at home, it was like the tension snapped loose.
Tendou grabbed your wrist and tugged you to him—not harshly, but with purpose. His mouth met yours in a kiss that was all teeth and caramel heat, hands sliding up your sides like he couldn’t decide where to hold you first.
You gasped into him. “Satori—”
“I don’t share,” he murmured, lips brushing your jaw, your throat. “Not food. Not you. Not the way you taste.”
He backed you toward the kitchen counter, palms skimming down your thighs to lift you up with practiced ease. Your legs wrapped around his waist without thinking.
“I didn’t think it would bother you,” you whispered, breath catching as he kissed your collarbone, nipping just hard enough to make you shiver.
“It didn’t,” he said, voice dark. “Until it did.”
He tugged your dress up, mouth following the line of your thigh, his hands everywhere—hot, demanding, worshipful.
“You gonna let anyone else feed you like that?” he asked, just before he slid your panties aside with two fingers.
You moaned. “No—”
“Say it.”
“I won’t,” you gasped, hips jerking as his mouth met you, tongue sweeping slow and devastating. He licked into you deliberately, like he wanted to savor every reaction—every stuttering moan, every twitch of your legs around his shoulders.
His fingers gripped your thighs tighter, holding you open while he devoured you. It built steadily—no teasing, no games—just hungry focus and the low hum of pleasure as he drank down every sound you gave him. You couldn’t stop it; your legs were trembling, your fingers tangled in his shirt as the heat curled, then peaked—
You came with a cry that echoed through the foyer, hips bucking as his name slipped broken from your lips. He didn’t stop until you were shivering, overstimulated, eyes glassy.
He looked up, mouth slick, eyes shining with something darker than mischief. “We’re not done.”
Then he stood, leaned in close, and kissed you deep—slow and messy and full of intent.
And melt, you did.
Again and again, until the only thing you could remember was how his name sounded in your mouth and how good it felt to be wanted this much.
The morning after, the room was quiet.
Golden light slipped through the blinds, casting soft shadows across the sheets. Tendou lay on his side, propped on one elbow, head tilted slightly as he watched you sleep. You were sprawled against the pillow, breathing slow and steady, hair tousled from his hands and the night before. The blanket had slipped down just enough to reveal the evidence.
His marks.
Your skin was littered in them—hickeys blooming along your collarbone and throat like wine-stained petals, small bruises dusting your ribs, and faint bite marks along the curve of your thigh where the sheet barely clung. Some were shallow, teasing reminders. Others were darker, deeper. Possessive.
He let his fingers trace a lazy path down your spine, not enough to wake you, but enough to feel you sigh in your sleep, your body instinctively curling toward the touch.
He smiled to himself.
“You’re covered in me,” he murmured, voice low, smug, and barely audible. His hand ghosted over the marks like he was admiring a painting he'd made just for himself.
You stirred slightly, blinking against the pillow. “You went feral,” you muttered, voice rough with sleep.
He chuckled, eyes still on you. “You liked it.”
You rolled onto your side, facing him now, the sheet falling from your shoulder.
“You got jealous over chocolate.”
“I got jealous over you.” His eyes met yours—sharp, unrepentant, glowing in the morning light. “And I’d do it again.”
You didn’t answer right away. You just leaned in and kissed him, slow and warm, lips brushing his lazily, your hand cupping his jaw.
“I think you left a tooth mark on my hip,” you whispered, breath curling against his mouth.
“Good,” he said, the corners of his lips twitching up. “Now everyone knows you’re mine.”

FATUM NOS IUNGEBIT 1/4
(König x F!Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: You have seen him in your dreams. The seer has divined his coming. But nothing has prepared you for witnessing him in the flesh. (Historical AU where König fights for the Roman Empire in an auxiliary unit, finds a cute barbarian woman and decides to keep her as his own.) Word count: 5.3 k Tags/warnings: 18+ ONLY. Spoils of war/enemies to lovers trope, graphic depictions of violence, historical gruesomeness, pining, odd banter, mixed feelings, romantic fluff, dubcon cuddling, eventual smut. Captor/captive dynamic. König is a brutal warrior... and a gentle giant. A/N: Lol what now? König dual wields 2 swords, goes Mike Tyson on his enemies, teaches his captive girl constellations in German, cuddles her and feeds her grapes, buuut mainly just tries to get into her pants (which historically did not exist at the time) A bit of a slow burn, but don't worry, they'll bang eventually ^^
AD 90, somewhere in the untamed frontiers of the Roman Empire…
The end of the world is here.
Not only have the crops failed for two years in a row, making chieftains beggars and beggars food for the fish, but now there are rumours that the god of war has arrived to destroy the land. The accursed Romans had turned their eagle gaze back to your land after years of sending their troops elsewhere, making it seem like they were not interested in your distant land after all. Untamed, they called it, harsh and barren and therefore inferior – your lush, abundant, beautiful land. No doubt they spat on it in their war councils because your roads were not paved, because your crops and villages were modest, and the women sometimes fought alongside men. Their storytellers immortalized false tales about you, calling you barbarians, but the only barbarians you could think of were the Romans themselves – crude, filthy and boorish creatures, drowning in wine and shit in their cities.
Rumours started to get fat and distressed when the troops approached your village. They said there was a giant at the head of the army, that the Romans followed a Titan's son who loved to eat men, torture women and impale children. They said he didn't accept proper food but preferred to eat his fallen enemies, washed his weapons with the blood of children, and split captured women apart with his cock, as long and sharp as his sword. They told that the Titan ordered his soldiers to poison the wells and destroy the growing crops with salt and vinegar. The rumours said that his tent was bigger than any chieftain's house and that he still struggled to stand at full height inside it.
Even the land itself seemed to bow before him. Good weather followed his conquest wherever he went; ambushes failed, scouts got caught and tortured, exposing more villages to pillage and ruin. Your brother told you to flee the village, but how could you survive without your clansmen? You didn't know how to hunt; you barely knew how to fish. Your task in the village was to gather clams from the shore, dye wool and help the old Seer. How long could you survive on sorrels and clams alone?
. . .
The old woman calls you to see her on the brink of war, and tells you to prepare for a ceremonial offering. Two horses, black as night if possible, brown at the very least, to appease the Great Mother of the Earth and quench her thirst for blood. If the Mother is satisfied with your offering, She will perhaps stop the approaching army or convince the Titan to leave your village alone.
She does a small rite before you, and you need to stay with her through her visions. You hate the smell of the leaves she burns, and try to cover your nose with your tunic to prevent breathing in the bitter fumes. The seer looks like she’s just lying herself down to sleep, but it’s always a burden when the spirits arrive and she starts to talk. You turn your back on her to coax them to rise: a mortal stare annoys the chthonic ones. You nearly fall asleep too as you wait, wanting nothing more than to go back to your own hut and have a good night’s sleep. Perhaps because you’re lousy tonight, and less vigilant as you should be, the spirits arrive sooner than either of you thought.
“He’s strong,” the seer croaks from the earthen bed, and you fight the urge to turn around and peek at the old woman, currently in the clutches of spirits.
“Invincible… Hungry... The horses…won’t suffice…”
She drifts someplace else, and you try to memorize every word, every intonation, as cryptic or as simple as they are, for later interpretation.
“I see you,” she says in a slightly more cheerful tone, which is odd because the old woman is never happy or satisfied, no matter how bright the sun shines or how much food there is in the storages and pits.
“Me?” You dare to speak even though you’re not allowed to disturb the spirits. You could slap yourself for blurting out a single word, but luckily, the hungry ones don’t attack you for your insolence.
“You.. will be his downfall,” she speaks as if you are having a conversation here. “Be there. When he arrives.”
“...Be there? Why?” You dare to utter again, more concerned about what the Mother implies than the potential fury of some lowly earthen spirits. You haven’t got the faintest clue about what She might be suggesting. Why do you have to participate in the battle? How can you be there without getting killed? You’re not a warrior… The Mother has it all wrong.
Suddenly, you curse the night, you curse the whole day, knowing your brother’s late proposal was perhaps a warning, a hint from the gods to leave, and leave quickly.
The old woman laughs dryly on the ground - the throaty, outright sick cackle makes you flinch.
You don’t like this... You don’t like this at all.
“Mother. What must I do?” You demand to know, thinking about how all the gods, spirits, old women, and Titans should go to hell.
“Become a tree,” the old woman offers as if it’s the easiest thing to do. “A flower. Me...”
. . .
You become a marten first, then a bird. Then perhaps a tree.
You climb a spruce and wait there. You wait until the sunrise; you wait until noon. You wait until you see the glint of the Roman spearheads and hear the sound of their march.
You’ve dreamed of the Titan ever since you left the seer’s hut. You’ve dreamed of him slaying everyone in the village; you’ve dreamed of him driving a thick spear into the ground and grabbing you with an intent to raise you into the air and impale you on it. You’ve dreamed of him behind you, above you, inside you. You wake up one morning only to see that half of the people have left. You don’t know where they have gone, and you can’t follow them even if you did because the old woman waits for you in front of her hut and gives you a nod the instant you walk into another beautiful, sunny day.
That’s why you’ve turned into a branch in a tree, but for what purpose, you have no idea. You can’t understand why you must be here to witness the world’s end.
Your men scream and shout and roar as they crash into the thick forest of spears. The enemy is silent: it’s eerie, how the world burns and falls into ruin around you, people are screaming; everyone who has a soul and a heart is screaming for Mother as they die, but the men behind the Roman shields refuse to emit a sound. They don’t curse or shout or summon their gods; they simply stand their ground and pant mist into the air as wave after wave of men break on their shields and die before their feet. Somebody loses his spear because it gets stuck between your clansman’s ribs, but the Roman simply draws his sword in its stead: it’s the only sound among the pitched wails that cut through the forest – the cold, clear ring of a gladius being pulled from its sheath.
That is why you flinch at the sound of the first shout, a brutish command that sends all the shields to the side, only to present more shields: the Romans switch positions in their formation as if they’re not even human beings like the rest of you, just a single enormous creature made of iron and leather and bone, operating it's flat forest of weapons.
And then you see him: the giant of your dreams, the hungry titan everyone has told you about. He rises from the tide of helmets like a summoned god, concealed as one of the soldiers and only now revealing his true nature. He stands at least two heads taller than the rest, pushes his own soldiers to the side and breaks out of the formation these vicious Romans love so much. You knew he would be strong and big, but you didn't know he refused to show his face… You wonder what kind of a monster hides behind the black cloth with nothing but two eye holes ripped on it. As if this man needed the additional effort to stand out from other soldiers...
He's like a God of War, just like the survivors said: his armour is of Roman design, but the amount of metal that had to be scraped together to cover this man's shoulders and chest must've demanded a fortune in gold. He doesn't seem to care about the Roman ways, however: he throws his shield away as soon as he's out of the cumbersome formation as if he has carried it only as a decoration up until this point. He draws another sword in its stead – if any other man did such a stupid thing, traded his shield for a weapon, you would snort. But not now.
Standing between the Romans and your clansmen like a challenge, a threat, a deity, even the men possessed by the seer's blood spells hesitate to approach him. But when they do, the god unleashes carnage: the first warrior gets his stomach slashed open, and the two thick swords look like toothpicks when wielded by this man. A stomach wound is a gruesome, slow way to die - but just before the warrior's entrails spill to dangle between his feet, the brute grants him mercy by sweeping his head off with a single blow of his gladius.
A roar finally rises from your enemy: they cheer Death on as the head of your neighbour meets the mud next. The soil is already soaked in blood, but the Mother is hungry still. The forest booms with Her bloodlust as the god moves around like a slow tempest of muscle, metal and darkness: he breaks every Roman rule by fighting as his own man instead of demeaning himself as one of them, a lowly part of this odd metal beast before you. He sends a limb flying in the air with a swing of a sword; he uses the same weapon as a bludgeon to bash in someone's skull. He crushes a man's chest simply by sinking down onto one knee, breaking bone, tendon and flesh to splinters as a whole ribcage gets crushed under his massive weight.
Warriors flee before him, they fall under the combined wrath of the Mother and the Titan's sword. The dead seem to fall eternally, along with your heart, before meeting the ground with a hollow thud.
Your chieftain is among the last men standing, meeting this unstoppable foe with admirable courage. Not having succumbed to the spells of bloodlust in years, he meets his death as a seasoned but old warrior. With his fighting years behind him, your chief doesn't have a chance against this man, but you have to grant the beast a feather's worth of honour, because he recognizes your chieftain as the veteran he is and salutes him with his sword. Then he proceeds with the bloodbath: flinging your leader's sword and axe easily to the side, he walks straight into his arms like he would into a hug, grabs him by the waist, and raises him into the air like he's nothing but a child.
Your scream never leaves your lungs as you watch how the Titan raises the draping cloth from his face, just enough to sink his teeth into your beloved chieftain’s neck. The noise that erupts from your elder is not that of a man but a tortured animal. It’s not from this world, what you witness next: the giant tears a hunk of flesh from your chief like he’s a piece of roasted meat. Blood streams forth, his screams fade away all too slowly, and you hear your own weak wail in the air as the Titan lets go of the heap that used to be a strong male and a wise leader.
Your chieftain is dead; his essence spills to the earth in spurts to appease the God of War, who spits blood and flesh to the ground, making you gag into the cold spring air.
Then he raises his swords towards the sun, and the forest erupts into a roar with him: the thundering, ear-splitting cheer from his warriors makes the very earth quake beneath your tree. It seems to shake the branches of the forest, and before you know it, the giant’s howl of triumph breaks the one you’re curled around, and you fall, fall, fall into the mud beneath you.
You're not a tree anymore. No: you’re very much a human woman there in the dirt as the sound of shouting ceases like a distant dream.
And he turns.
Death turns.
Mother always said you were a curious creature, which is perhaps why you search for his eyes, even though you should be running. She also said you were a smart one, which is why you know that running is futile. Your limbs wouldn’t carry you far anyway. It is a cruel joke from the gods to have what little strength you have left pour out of you into the ground and up to the feet of the enemy who is already strong, both in body and in will.
The Titan looks at you with genuine wonder, a curiosity that surpasses your own. To your odd thrill, you find that his eyes are blue: the same blue of the sea which you used to collect delicious clams from.
The soldiers behind him shift with lust – their gear clinks as they devour you with unbridled hunger. The Titan is the only one who looks at you like you’re simply a cute little squirrel who happened to fall from a tree right there at his feet. Then his eyes drop to your breasts, and the familiar hunger that lives in men gives the ocean of his eyes a clouded look. When his stare finds yours again, he's a different man: the treacherous beast of your dreams.
You had hoped for a swift death… Violent but quick. But it’s clear that it’s not death he has in store for you as he takes a step towards you. It’s not a quick nor a slow death; it’s not death at all, because–
No.
No.
You’d rather have your arms torn off and fed to the Romans rather than have him thrust the sword between his legs, his third weapon, inside you. If you’re going to die screaming, it will not happen on your back; you will not amuse this beast with your womanhood and tears.
You scramble forward to pick up something, anything: a bronze dirk from a fallen warrior. The giant’s eyes fall on the sad excuse of a weapon, then on the sorry excuse of you. He thinks you’re planning to fight him with that thing, and the corners of his eyes crease a little from the prospect of having to subdue you. You’re proving to be quite the entertainment, and you curse those eyes, looking so kind and lively when just moments ago, the same eyes were inhuman and possessed. His are the eyes of a wayfarer, a wanderer, not a soldier: you catch a hint of sadness in them and curse again.
He’s not human, you remind yourself and show him what actual humans are made of. What women are made of. You give him another name, Giant, because you’ve always feared giants and hated the stories about them. Dumb and reckless creatures they are, stupid destroyers who always place their trust in their size. You never meant to fight him, and he only catches up on it as you turn the dagger towards yourself and guide it to point straight at your heart.
You will be his downfall, just like the seer said.
“Nein–Warte,” the Giant speaks his first words, surprisingly soft to belong to a man like him.
The sorrow in his stare consumes you in full now. It gushes forth like a tide, causing your breath and hands to shake when they need to be stern. You straighten your spine, jut your chin forward, and call for Mother: you don’t even know if you’re yelling for your bearer, or the Great Mother, or the earth that gives life to all. Perhaps you call them all to gather around and witness your sacrifice, higher in price than any of the Titan’s offerings combined. The blood you’re about to spill onto the soil will surely appease the land and raise it to arms to finally fight against this beast.
He says something else just before you pull the blade back to strike it into your chest, and you curse for the third time in your mind: giants aren’t supposed to move that fast; they aren’t supposed to interfere in your last ritual.
But the worst of it is that even when he finally subdues you, even as he wrestles the blade away from you, he ends up drawing a large gash on his forearm… As if he is trying his best to protect you from accidentally cutting yourself.
. . .
You are brought to his tent, screaming.
It’s not as big as a chieftain’s house; it’s barely the size of yours. But it is larger than the tents you saw when you got carried there: as a spitting, screeching, hissing package of what these brutes would no doubt consider a true barbarian woman with uncivilized manners and a fuckable cunt. They will talk about you around their campfires tonight: about you getting broken in by their true commander. It’s enough to satisfy them for now: to imagine their champion to fuck you bloody and sore. And who knows: perhaps they’ll receive the scraps if the Titan gets tired of you.
The precious dagger is somewhere in the mud, probably trampled there like it’s nothing but a piece of worthless metal. Your own trampling is only about to begin as the Giant marches into his abode and sends the men away, giving you uneasy looks in the process, perhaps checking if any of them had enough time to have a go at you. Luckily for him, you’re in the same condition as he left you: legs together, safe and pretty, because he bound them with a rope along with your hands. You are nothing but a delivery, thrown on the floor of dirt and a few animal skins. He just nods at you, happy to acknowledge that you are untouched by the others, as if it would somehow be worse for you to be raped by ten of those petite men than be raped by him: a cruel, bloodthirsty Giant with a giant cock.
Your ankles and wrists get sore as you watch him doff his armour. He takes off the helmet, the belted straps, the segmented plates of his shoulder guards and the heavy Roman cuirass. The gods have truly favoured this man, not only gifting him tremendous height but insurmountable strength too. His muscles are large and lean and quiver with latent power as he moves; his back is so broad it almost competes with the wide mouth of the tent. He doesn’t seem to suffer from the cold either, but he keeps his mask on for whatever ghastly reason. Even if there is a monster under that mask, his body speaks of virility: he’s a man in his prime, a giant at his strongest, making you feel like an elf, a tiny little creature in the feet of this man who must be descended from titans indeed.
You continue to watch as he washes his hands in a small basin, cleans his mouth and neck, too. You reckon the water in that bowl is blood red and dark when he finally dries himself with a white cloth. He stands before you in nothing but his mask and the dark red tunic he had under the armour. He ties it from the waist with a simple leather belt, and it only now makes sense to you why Roman soldiers dye their clothes red: you’re pretty sure you can still see the darker spots on the hem of that tunic, the ones that used to be the lifeblood of your clansmen and kin.
He has the audacity to ask you - wordlessly - to clean his wound, the one you caused him. He sets you free from your bounds, and you are given fresh water and another cloth. He even opens a smallish wooden box of salve that has a familiar smell to it: pine tar and honey, used by your people to treat minor wounds and prevent bad spirits from getting into the wound. You wonder how he even knows about such a balm: is this warrior a Roman at all, or is he some odd creature hauled from the edges of the world to fight for them? You wonder if he has made the salve himself, extracted the tar from the pine and foraged the wax and honey himself, then cursed with his coarse language when he got stung by multiple bees…
You drive away the thoughts that threaten to make this brute human by snorting at his injury. The damage he gave to himself when he tried to guide the blade away from you at the price of his own blood.
It still troubles you that he did it. Even a tiny wound like this can bring any man down if it starts to fester. The cold winds and rains of spring can easily get into the gash and make it rot.
The idea of this giant being forced to his knees because of some filthy dagger wielded by a squirrel of a woman makes you smile inside. It would be a fitting fate for this man. But the vision also makes your heart sting. The thought of him dying of a simple flesh wound, alone and far away from his home, makes your heart grow kinder than it should.
You decide there is nothing you can do but treat his arm, strong and scarred from previous battles. He sits down while you get to stay on the ground, and you try to ignore it that your face is now level with his groin. He sits with a wide spread in those powerful thighs, and you wonder if it's because the rumours about his cock are true. You keep your eyes everywhere else except the hem of that tunic and what's going on under there. He purrs at your touch, making it clear that it doesn't need much more than your soft fingertips to get him hard after a triumphant day on the field of battle.
The wound is not deep, but you clean it carefully, trying to ignore the way his eyes seem to bore into you as you take care of him. Your hand is somewhat steady as you treat the damage with the nice-smelling salve, but you flinch as his hand suddenly meets your cheek. You look up at him, heart plummeting, thighs instinctively pressing together from the gentle way with which he cups your face.
“Schön,” he says, again with a tender voice and an adoring, almost worshipful stare. You don’t have a clue what he’s saying, but you know now for sure that it's not the tongue of the Romans he speaks. The scent of pines and bees lingers between you as he brushes a thumb over your lower lip. You are weak enough to give him a breath, a helpless, hot little exhale that meets his hand like a gift.
“Schön wie eine Fee,” he rumbles, sounding intoxicated or like he's under a spell of sleep.
“What the hell are you saying,” you whisper in your own tongue: just a meek little sputter, a tiny, horrified breath, but the giant’s eyes narrow with a smile.
“Sie redet,” he says happily, and your shoulders sink – you are on the verge of screaming from frustration alone. Whatever you do seems to only amuse this man, and you snap your mouth shut. Your cheeks heat up with recurring waves of odd fever. The ground beneath your shins is all but warm, and yet you feel warm all over: a dangerous sign, you know, and oddly tied to the peculiar bodings you have seen all week.
Because there have been many omens in the air lately.
It’s just that none of them were portents of war.
The cranes started to mate early this year, and you have found a lot of clams from the shore every day. Even your brother encountered a boar with nine piglets; everyone celebrated him as some holy man who had seen the Great Mother when he returned to the village that day. The wind started to blow from south soon after, and the moon has grown along with your womb: this morning, on the brink of war, you woke up wet and restless.
All the omens speak of fertility, of growth, of a new cycle and of birth: of spring and life. There’s nothing about death and decay, nothing except what the people have told you about… him. The death himself. The war god.
“König,” he says as if he can hear your thoughts and wishes to correct them. You look up and see he’s pointing to himself, or rather, holding his hand over his heart. You fight the urge to scoff at the gesture. As if this beast had a heart…
“König,” he repeats the word and pats his chest, and you realize he’s trying to tell you his name. You wrinkle your nose in distaste, and he smiles. It’s easy to tell when he does, even with the cloth that covers his face: you can see the joy clearly from his eyes, the boyish grin that must be occurring under that mask.
“Du?” He points at you next, inquisitive. He has an odd way of pointing: with two fingers, slightly crooked, and you understand very well what he’s asking of you. You refuse to tell him your name, however, settling for pouting a lip at him next. The smile in his eyes only deepens.
“Fee,” he pokes you gently on the shoulder and leans back in his odd Roman chair, seemingly content with having now named you.
And Mother was right: you are curious, so incredibly curious to know what this beast has chosen to call you and why. Are you a rat to him…? Some bird? Perhaps simply a girl?
He is so pleased with your conversation that he pours himself some wine and drinks the whole cup with one gulp. Great, you sigh inside your head, a beast and a drunkard. He pours another cup and tries to offer it to you, and when you don’t make a move to grab the clay mug, he brings it to your lips. You entertain him with a tiny sip: you’ve heard of wine and know that Romans are fond of it, but you have never tasted it yourself.
The tart, bitter flavour almost makes you cough. You thought wine was supposed to be sweet: everyone always describes it as something like milk or honey or juice from an overripe apple. It very much is not, and you almost choke on it and then make a wry face at your captor. He - König - only laughs. It’s another thing that catches you off guard: first those boyish, sad eyes and now this hearty, grown man’s laugh. You have proved to be such an amusement to him that he doesn’t force you to drink any more wine and enjoys the rest of it himself.
Then he rises and makes you shrink from him again, towers above you for a moment, and looks at you with that warm curiosity that makes your heart race.
“Müde?”
He tilts his head, the bag of darkness shifts, the blue eyes behold you fondly, and for some reason, you whimper an answer to yet another question you can’t even understand. He takes your little squeak as a yes and falls to crouch before you, then raises a massive hand to the leather strings that keep your demure little dress up.
To your horror, he pulls the knotted tangle open before you can stop him. Your dress falls from your shoulders and drops to pool around you, and you simply and verily stop breathing.
His eyes wash over you, he examines every little part of exposed skin like an entire treasure chest has suddenly opened before him. You pray to all the gods that he would find it in his heart to be gentle tonight. Your nipples perk up – from the cold or from his stare, you don’t know.
The rough callous of his palm meets your breast and encloses it in warm support. He cups you, weighs you like he would a fruit, and then he squeezes you, rather hard, too: a deliberate attempt to make you squeal again. He replies to your pathetic mewl with an approving rumble, and you look up at him with all the helpless tenderness of the Mother, hoping that Her gentle pleas might persuade this man not to hurt you.
“Please don’t,” you whisper, and his eyes dart to your mouth, to your eyes, then back to your lips again. He immediately softens his touch. Then he lifts you from inside your poor dress, picks you up like you weigh nothing at all, and carries you to his broad bed, the sturdiest you have ever seen.
This man feels like the strangest of fates, like a hopeless destiny, as he sets you on the skins and straw mattress, right next to your fluttering heart. Your insides ache as he undresses before you, entirely without shame. He’s hard under the tunic he rips off and tosses on the cold ground. Your eyes are glued to the legendary cock you’ve heard so much about, the cock that splits women apart: and it’s true that it's huge. It resembles the ones you’ve seen on horses, not on men, and your thighs are glued together as he comes next to you while that pale, monstrous cock sways long and heavy between his thighs. He moves you around a little, and you squeal from how weak you feel: weak as a mouse as he covers you with one of those rich furs he has in plenty on the bed. Then crawls under it too, right next to you.
Your heart almost wrenches itself out of your chest as a strong arm pulls you against him: the swell of your ass meets his thighs, solid and broad like treetrunks, and your lower back meets the hot, almost too hot horse cock. It starts to leak and throb against your skin the instant your flesh is pressed against his. You try not to whimper and moan as the Giant, König, curls around you like you two have always done this.
He takes a long, earnest inhale from your neck and hair, rumbles deeply and contently, and tightens his grip. Apparently, you smell and feel good…
You wait and wait to be plundered and raped, but König only settles for holding you tightly, like you’re a children’s toy made of the softest straw and purest undyed wool. You relax slowly, and he purrs against your back, starts to fondle your breasts, ardently, until your body betrays you and you find yourself wet again; he squeezes and squishes your teats slowly, approvingly, then pinches your nipple once before finally falling into a heavy, deep sleep.
Please forgive your author for any historical inaccuracies and other silly things you find facepalmable <3 During this time König would've probably spoken some form of Old Saxon but since I'm not a TOLKIEN we have to settle for modern-day German here. I don't have a taglist for this fic so please check my pinned masterlist for future updates.

Hii, I've been a real big fan of your writing for a long time and i was wondering whether you'd be able to write a little one shot with Riley cumming prematurely, if possible! Best regards, anon🫶🏻
Thank you, nonny. Hope you'll like this. ♡ ˙ᵕ˙

Simon tastes like home on your tongue. The weight of his fat cock enough to soothe your anxiety that has been accumulating all week, while you're kneeling between his meaty thighs.
As soon as you returned home from your shopping trip with your dear friend―the crowded mall ending up being the overwhelming cherry on top on this Saturday afternoon―you dropped down on your knees in front of him in the living room with a heavy sigh and pleading puppy dog eyes.
Not saying a word and not planning to for a while.
“Mad fer it, eh? Aye,” he chuckles hoarsely, giving your cheek a few gentle pats with his left hand as you pout up at him, head resting against his firm inner thigh. “Sweet lass, don’t pout. Y’know what it does to me.”
And it doesn’t take much of your groping and mouthing at his bulge through the soft fabric of his gym shorts until Simon whips his half-hard cock and heavy balls out for you to play with, knowing exactly that is what you need to get your mind back to a nicer headspace.
The sound of the television fades into the background as you focus on his heavy breathing and those hoarse, hitchy grunts and groans that make your pussy tickle and drip into your undies.
He’s leaning back against the sofa’s backrest now; cold beer bottle still clutched in his right hand while his other is cupping the back of your head loosely now, callous fingertips gently massaging your scalp.
The smell of hoppy beer, musk, and cum fill your nostrils as you drag your tongue up and down the underside of his shaft, thick vein pulsing against the tip of your tongue as you catch a creamy bead of pre with a pleased hum. Salt and clean skin, a bitter hint of his bodywash lingering on your tastebuds as you lick him.
“Yeah, y’like tha’, hm? Fuck, yes... My good fuckin’ girl.”
His voice is a deep and rough rumble as he coos at you; muscles already twitching and flexing rhythmically while his grip tightens, fingers curling into your hair as his pale face begins to flush a deeper shade of pink; plump balls drawing up as you take him too deep and gag.
“Right mad fer m’fuckin’ cock. Christ.” He clicks his tongue before smiling down at you crookedly, enjoying the few of your glossy eyes while you worship his cock and junk with your mouth. His chest heaves as you suckle on his tip, flicking your tongue over his weeping slit while you stroke the thick base of his prick.
“Fuck,” Simon groans breathlessly, head tipping back against the headrest, “gonna cum, lovie.” His breath hitches, dark eyes squeezing shut as he moans louder, more desperately. “Ah, fuck–fuck!  Gonna cum on yer pretty face f’ya–ahh!”
A delighted giggle bubbles up in your throat as you pull your shiny lips off his throbbing, flushed cockhead; more than happy to make him unravel so quickly. And you continue jerking him off with your hand, the other massaging his balls as he shoots thick ropes of cum on your grinning mouth and chin, the last weak spurts dripping down his shaft as he shudders and pants, slumping in his seat on the couch.
“Fuckin’ hell, baby.” He’s right boneless. Heavy, warm hand dropping away from your head as he lifts his head to peer down at you with dazed, half-lidded eyes, causing your cunt to squeeze around nothing. Greedy and eager as ever while his cock barely softens in your grasp.
He blinks slowly, reaches up to cup your cheek to drag his thumb through the sticky mess on your lips and chin with a dopey smile. “Feelin’ better?”
You nod slowly, matching his pure look full of adoration. “Much better, Si,” you purr.
And Simon huffs through his nostrils, pleased. If him cumming quick makes you that happy, he’d be the most foolish bloke if he couldn’t live with that.
“Atta girl.”

for bitchy pogue reader I'd love some actual introductions to Topper and Kelce after the golf course, they can be huge assholes but we've seen a nicer side to both of them. So Rafe trying to see if group hanging out *is* possible, and it's probably very weird but maybe it works out?
it's not working out just yet....but maybe! soon! thank you for the request💗

pairing: bitchy!pogue!reader x rafe
you think you had too many shots before leaving the house.
alright, so maybe the vodka was overkill. maybe. but you knew you’d need a little courage to pull off this top that’s basically a vague suggestion of a shirt. the whole thing's simple math—tight skirt, low-cut top, a flick of lip gloss, and, boom, everyone else is irrelevant.
if you wanted, you could have any guy here eating out of the palm of your hand. so why the fuck did you dress thinking about rafe when you’re supposed to distance yourself from that asshole? no idea.
the bonfire’s huge tonight, lighting up all the faces you couldn’t care less about.
you can feel him, hovering somewhere nearby. he’s in that faded sweatshirt he always wears when it’s colder out, the one that smells like salt and smoke and way too many of your bad nights. mister pouty face himself, sulking around the fire, watching you with this look that says he knows he messed up but doesn’t even know where to start patching things over.
you turn your back on him for the millionth time that night, let your hips sway just a little extra, knowing he’s watching. yeah, you’re putting on a show—flicking your hair, laughing louder than you need to.
you’re just reaching for a beer when you feel hands slide around your waist, and you almost jump out of your skin, but then you catch that familiar, maddening scent of his and your body goes all traitorous, leaning back against him before you snap out of it.
"jesus,” you’re already twisting out of his clasp, turning around, and there he is, standing like he didn’t just sneak up on you with those stupid blue eyes and that stupid, lopsided grin.
you want to shove him away, but he’s got that look, begging for a chance without saying a word, and you hate how much it gets to you.
your head had been a mess since that day at the golf course.
“what do you want?” you ask, arms crossed, brows up, giving him that full-on don’t mess with me look.
“to talk,” he’s close, way too close, looking down at you, trying to read every little twitch of your face, as if he can just stand there and make things better by breathing the same air.
his hands are still hovering around your waist, waiting for permission to touch you again. part of you wants to let him, but you just narrow your eyes, tilting your chin.
“aren’t you afraid your little friends are gonna see you?” you edge him on, “talking to a pogue?”
“don’t start,” he says, you can see the pleading in his eyes as he reaches for your waist again, fingertips brushing your hip, he can’t stand not touching you for another second.
“why not?”
he winces, dropping his hand back to his side, and it’s almost pathetic, how he’s just standing there, not even pretending to defend himself. “i—c’mon, i already apologized—”
you roll your eyes, not trying to hide the smirk pulling at your lips.
“apologized?” you let out a bitter laugh, tossing your hair over your shoulder. “oh, yeah, that makes up for all the times you acted like i didn’t exist.”
his face crumples, and you can see him struggling, his hand drifting toward your hip again, but he hesitates, afraid he’s about to get slapped away.
it’s almost sad, mr. big shot practically pussy-whipped.
“c’mon, don’t do this,” he murmurs, stepping closer until you can feel the warmth of him. his fingertips ghost along your bare arm, he’s just as desperate to feel you.
you scoff, leaning back against the cooler, crossing your arms in front of you as his hand slides to your waist, bold and pleading all at once. his touch is warm, and you hate how your body responds, you've been waiting all night for him to finally show up.
“there’s some people i want you to meet.”
his thumb brushes the skin just above your waistband, and he’s so close you can feel his breath against your cheek.
“what?” you huff in annoyance, lifting your chin up as he inches closer, his lips brushing against the side of your neck.
you feel his thumb grazing your skin back and forth, his lips so close you can taste the desperation in his breath.
perhaps it’s the vodka, or maybe it’s the way he’s looking at you but you feel yourself softening, just a little, against your will.
“my friends.”
you didn’t hear him right.
his friends? the same friends who wouldn’t even look at you if you walked past them in town? the same friends he’d all but hid you from for months?
“what?” you ask, slower this time, more disbelief than anything, and you tilt your head up to get a better look at him.
he’s got that kicked puppy look in his eyes, and you’re not even sure what to make of it.
this is rafe cameron, the guy who wouldn’t be caught dead with you outside the bedroom, now practically begging to introduce you to his kook buddies?
“i want them to know,” his voice trails off, “i want them to know ‘m with you.”
“with me?” you repeat, not even bothering to hide the sarcasm in your voice. “since when?”
this can’t be real—this can’t be the same rafe who couldn’t even look you in the eye outside his house three months ago.
“i told you, the other day at the golf course.”
you stare at him like he’s stupid, “you mean, when you went alpha on those little frat boys?”
“i saved you from them, okay.”
you’re seconds away from outright laughter when he just keeps looking at you with those fucking pleading eyes, that hand grazing your cheek in a way that should be soft but instead feels like he’s trying to imprint himself into your skin.
why the fuck is this so endearing to you.
he sounds almost earnest. but you’re not giving him an inch, not after months of him acting like he didn’t know your name in public.
“what do you mean, ‘saved me’?” you raise an eyebrow, biting back a smirk. “saved me from what? a little attention?”
rafe lets out a rough exhale, glancing down with a frustrated shake of his head.
“they were hitting on you,” he mutters, his hand tightening on your waist, fingers digging in just enough to make you aware of every single inch of his hold on you. “and ‘m not gonna stand around and watch some asshole get his hands all over what’s mine.”
mine?
he’s really lost it.
“country club, i don’t know if you hit your head golfing and this is some post-head trauma hallucination, but ‘mine’ implies you want something more than whatever the fuck this is.” you motion between the two of you, throwing a hand up in exasperation.
“why don’t you ever call me by my name?” he grumbles, just like he did the other day on the golf course. he lets out a short laugh, shaking his head. “except when—”
your mouth drops open. is he serious? this shit again?
“except when what?” you glare at him as you swat his chest.
he’s got that smirk pulling at the corner of his mouth, he knows exactly what you’re thinking.
“you only call me rafe when,” his voice drops deliciously, and he leans in close, eyes half-lidded and fixed on your lips. “…when ’m inside you.”
“shut up,” you hiss, smacking his chest again, but he doesn’t move. instead, his smirk grows as he catches your wrist and holds it, letting his fingers trace over your knuckles.
before you can retort, there’s a loud cackle from behind you.
you turn, and there they are: topper and kelce, both looking like they’ve stumbled into a parallel universe.
“whoa, what’s this?” topper’s smirk is almost as wide as rafe’s. “didn’t know our boy here had himself a—” he raises his eyebrows, letting the word hang with a smug twist of his mouth. kelce snickers, crossing his arms, eyes darting between you and rafe.
you’re already huffing, half-prepared to watch rafe put on his usual bad boy with daddy issues mask, toss out some stupid excuse, or worse—let them think you’re just a fucking hole to him.
rafe gives your waist an extra squeeze, fingers pressing into your side as if he’s staking a claim.
“this,” he says, clearing his throat like he’s about to announce something official, “is my girlfriend.”
you blink, utterly thrown, and from the look on their faces, topper and kelce are right there with you, both staring at rafe like he’s just grown an extra head.
“your what?” kelce sputters out, eyes widening, expecting the punchline.
you open your mouth to say something snarky, make some joke out of this whole ridiculous scene, but rafe’s fingers are tracing slow, warm circles against your hip and you can’t think straight to save your life.
god, old you would’ve ridiculed yourself for being putty in the hands of a kook of all people.
“girlfriend,” he repeats, spelling it out just for them. “want you both to meet her.”
you swear kelce’s jaw drops, while topper lets out a low, incredulous laugh. tweedledum and tweedledee at their best.
“you’re serious,” topper mutters, giving you a once-over and shaking his head in disbelief. “i thought she was just a—”
“yeah, ’m serious,” rafe cuts in, his tone brooking no argument.
you must’ve missed the part where you two talked about this thing like adults and he proceeded to ask you.
“your what?” you bite out, as you try to wrench his arm away, but his grip only tightens, he’s prepared for a full-on wrestle if it keeps you there.
“hey—will you just stay here?” he murmurs, voice low enough that it’s just for you.
you’d throw something at him if you could. you yank his hand away anyway, tearing yourself free from his grip. “stay? are you kidding?”
you’re already storming off into the crowd, but you still hear kelce behind you, their voices , “that went well.”
rafe curses under his breath, but you just keep walking, not looking back, even as you can feel him running after you, those long legs of his making it easy to catch up.
“wait! seriously, wait!”
like hell you’re going to let him off the hook so easily.
“not happening!” you shout over your shoulder.
you could turn around and give him one last piece of your mind, but a part of you knows it’ll only lead to more hurt feelings—yours or his. you push through a group of people huddled around the bonfire, and it’s only when you reach the edge of the beach that you finally stop, trying to catch your breath.
“why do you always do this?” rafe’s voice comes from behind you. you don’t turn around, knowing that if you see that look on his face, you might just give in.
“do what?” you cross your arms defensively.
“run away,” he almost whines, taking a step closer, and you can hear the frustration in the way his throat tightens up, “you never give me a chance to explain.”
“explain what? that you want me to be your girlfriend when two weeks ago, you couldn’t even look at me in front of your friends?” you spin to face him, “this is ridiculous.”
rafe opens his mouth, probably to defend himself, but the look on your face shuts any attempt down.
“i asked you to stay.”
you groan, itching to pull your hair out, “what are you talkin’ about?”
“that night, i asked you to stay.”
“and proceeded to ignore me the next day, yes, i’m well fuckin’ aware.”
you want him to feel a sliver of what he’s put you through, but he just steps closer, trying to coax you back.
“i was trying to figure things out,” he says, like that’s supposed to mean something to you. “it’s not easy, alright?”
“were you incredibly tortured by the thought of letting your friends know you were fucking a ‘pogue’? please.”
“what, you really think i don’t care about you?” he’s pleading now, his face just inches from yours. “because if you don’t know that by now, then i don’t know what else i can do.”
you laugh bitterly. is he actually serious?
“you can grow a fucking pair. where was this brave, ‘caring’ version of you last week? or the week before that?” you throw a hand up, trying to make him see how obvious this all is. “when you could’ve just acted like a man and told your friends instead of pretending i was some embarrassing secret.”
“’m trying to fix that,” he says, desperate, “right here, right now.”
“and ’m supposed to just forget the way you treated me all those times?”
“can you just let me try to be better?”
you swallow, biting your lip. he’s closer now, and you can smell that familiar cologne and saltwater.
“it’s gonna take more than a few pretty words.”
“i know,” he says, nodding like he’s promising you something. “that’s why i want you to meet my friends, why i want them to know ’m with you.” his fingers finally, lace with yours, and he looks down at your hands, “i want to do this right.”
you stare down at his hand in yours, and for a second, yeah, your heart stutters, betraying every ounce of pride you’ve tried to keep intact through this whole mess.
this is rafe we’re talking about. kook royalty, king of mixed signals, the guy who’s too proud to admit when he’s wrong, especially when his boys are watching and he’s saying all the things you’ve wanted to hear since day one.
a few weeks ago, you’d have laughed at the idea of ever feeling anything real for him. you, a pogue with a mouth on you, and him, a kook with daddy issues and an ego bigger than his bank account.
but here you are, letting him pull this romantic shit on you. is he actually worth all this? you could do better; you know that.
you could have someone who doesn’t make you feel like an option, someone who’s not constantly forcing you to guess what the hell he wants. the real question is, do you actually believe he’s gonna change? or is this just another moment of him saying whatever he has to so he doesn’t lose the convenience of you?
you huff, half-scoffing, half-sighing, because honestly, he does sound genuine for once, and maybe a part of you wants to believe him so badly you could actually throw your whole life away.
“prove it then,” you say it like you’re daring him. “day by day. if you’re serious, you’ll show me. and you’ll handle your idiot friends in the process.”
“deal.”
you raise a brown, “you’re not gonna think about it?”
he shrugs, “nothin’ to think about.”
you roll your eyes, because that line should be cheesy, but it lands. he really has no right to be this good at disarming you with a few well-placed words. and the worst part? he knows it.
“can i kiss you?”
of course he'd say something like that. of course, after all the back-and-forth, the pushing and pulling, he’d just stand there and ask to kiss you like everything’s solved.
you sigh, tilting your head like you’re seriously considering it. "you think a kiss is gonna make me forget every dumb shit you did?"
he smirks, but he knows he’s on thin ice. “nah, but i figured it’d be a start.”
you almost hate him for making it sound so tempting, you wish it didn't feel this good to be wanted.
you shake your head, resisting the impulse to let him off easy, but how he’s looking at you… ugh. you can’t help it, you’re thinking with your pussy at this point.
"fine," you say, trying to sound annoyed even as your heart's practically pounding out of your chest. "one kiss, no tongue.”
his mouth actually drops open, and he's staring at you like you’ve just told him he can only have one fry out of the whole basket.
"no tongue?" he repeats, eyebrows practically hitting his hairline. he's doing this thing where his mouth opens and closes like he’s a fucking fish, "wait, please—what do you mean, no tongue?"
you only just manage to keep a straight face, because fuck, this is killing him, and it’s almost cute.
"exactly what i said," you nodd, crossing your arms with this wicked little smirk. "you wanted a kiss. you get one.”
he’s looking at you like you insulted his entire lineage, "c’mon, just a little tongue. you know you wann—"
“absolutely not,” you wrinkle your nose, laughing as you cut him off. maybe you do, but this is way more fun, watching him squirm.
“fine,” he groans, moving in close, the glint in his eye tells you he’s about to break all the rules the second he’s got you there. he leans in, almost sulking, and you feel him press a single, very tame, very tongue-free kiss to your lips, “so... no tongue later either? when ’m between your legs? 'cause i’d hate to break your rules.”
son of a bitch.
it’s useless to act unaffected when he’s looking at you like that.
“pull that shit again, rafe, and you’re getting blue balls for the next month.”
he looks scandalized, that smirk dropping as he watches you with wide, pleading eyes. “you wouldn’t.”
“play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”
his jaw drops a little like he can’t decide whether to laugh or fall to his knees and beg for mercy. “you’re seriously cruel, y’know that?”
“course i do.”
