How Full Stack and IoT Development Are Shaping Swedenâs Future đ
Hey Tumblr! đ
Sweden is leading the way in tech innovation, and two major players in this scene are Full Stack Development and IoT (Internet of Things). Let's dive into how these technologies are transforming cities and industries across Sweden! đžđȘđ
Whatâs Full Stack Development?
Full Stack Development means working on both the front-end (what users see) and back-end (the server-side stuff) of applications. In Sweden, from Stockholm to Malmö, businesses are hiring full-stack developers to build seamless, user-friendly platforms.
Why it matters: Itâs about creating complete solutions that can adapt to the latest tech trends like AI and IoT.
The Magic of IoT in Sweden
IoT is making our cities smarter and our industries more efficient. Think smart sensors that track air quality in Stockholm or connected devices that help farmers in rural Sweden get real-time data.
Cool Fact: In Gothenburg and Malmö, IoT is used to monitor manufacturing processes and predict equipment maintenance. It's all about staying connected and informed.

Real-Life Examples đ
Healthcare: IoT devices improve patient monitoring and care, while full-stack solutions make data accessible and actionable.
Smart Homes: Imagine controlling your lights, thermostat, and security system from one appâthanks to IoT and full-stack development!
Sustainable Agriculture: IoT sensors help farmers optimize crops and save resources. Full-stack platforms turn that data into actionable insights.
Why You Should Care đĄ
As Sweden pushes forward with sustainable and smart solutions, understanding and adopting Full Stack Development and IoT can put businesses at the forefront of innovation. Whether youâre a tech enthusiast or a business owner, these technologies are shaping our future!

Cover StarïœA sincere conversation with Rebecca Ferguson, from "Mission: Impossible" to "Dune": "If there was a pause button in life..."
Over the past few years, we've been immersed in the eyes of Rebecca Ferguson. She is "Lady Jessica", the mother of Paul, the protagonist of "Dune 2", and "Agent Ilsa" in the "Mission: Impossible" movie series. Her charm that is not limited by frames makes every character more real and three-dimensional.
In the cold winter, we flew to London to meet Rebecca Ferguson. There was an especially warm smile in the studio. She had a sense of relaxation, sitting casually on the stacked tires, but she was also like a small flame, burning the wonderful thoughts in her mind. In front of the camera, she carefully stretched her figure and carefully selected the look she liked. With a mini racing track laid out on the ground, Rebecca Ferguson created a different sense of tension and story.
From ballet to stunts
We will always remember that in 2014, Rebecca Ferguson hid the fact that she was afraid of high-altitude stunts while filming "Mission Impossible: Runaway Nation." Tom Cruise was surprised later, "She never told anyone! She trained for it and completed it full on" However, in the face of these past events, he asked her if she agreed that she was a person who "decided to do whatever she did." The kind of person who arrives? Rebecca Ferguson replied that she doesnât like to oversimplify or emphasize her own behavior. âI also donât like to have a predetermined impression of myself because it may lead to self-aggrandizement (laughs). I think most people I work with also have the same traits. ! When they want to achieve something, they always give it their all, not at the expense of others. I hope itâs a process thatâs kind, considerate, and exciting.â
Born in Sweden to a British mother, Rebecca Ferguson graduated from Adolf Fredrik's Music School, a well-known music school in Stockholm. At the age of 15, she participated in the soap opera "Nya Tider". She also studied ballet, jazz and funk at the Royal Swedish Ballet School, tap dance, etc. Her diverse exploration of art since she was a child seems to have given her an "artist" eye, and perhaps a bit of an artist's temperament. Her heart is like a jumping note, and she can always talk about any topic; her attention to details also injects countless inspiration and boldness into the photos.
life pause button
After Rebecca Ferguson worked in Sweden for more than ten years and gave birth to her first child, her name gradually became known to the world. In 2013, she played Elizabeth Woodville, the controversial queen of King Edward IV of England during the Wars of the Roses, in the BBC historical drama The White Queen. This English-language debut earned her a Golden Globe nomination. Since then, she has become one of the busiest stars in Hollywood. The third film in the Mission: Impossible series she starred in premiered in 2023. For months, fans discussed the poignant battle of her character Ilsa Faust; the subsequent dystopian series starring Rebecca Ferguson The first and second seasons of "Silo" premiered on Apple TV+, during which time the craze for "Dune: Part 2" broke out. Compared with the growth story of Timothée Chalamet, we seem to be more often deeply attracted by the mystery, elegance, beauty and strength (and exquisite veil!) of the protagonist's mother Lady Jessica. Since the battle of wits in the first movie The fierce physical fight is still unforgettable!
Recently, she announced her participation in the movie version of "Peaky Blinders", co-starring Cillian Murphy, the protagonist of the British period crime drama. Ask her what else she wants to challenge in her career? "There is nothing I want to change, but I will always think about challenges and chasing dreams. I have never been on the stage, and I also want to do some theater work. This is my biggest wish now, and it may also be my biggest fear. !â
The theme of the February issue of "Harper's BAZAAR Taiwan" is about F1 racing and speed. I am curious about what she hopes to "fast forward" to the ending experience? "Absolutely not! I don't want to fast forward at all! I think time goes by fast enough already. If there was an option to rewind, I would rather have that - or press the pause button - to pause time and feel my surroundings. Maybe we can revisit some of the moments to let us know weâre not at the end yet.â
Naughty, Libra, maternal, mobile, practical in building dreams, artist, etc., we wrote a character sketch of Rebecca Ferguson; and then through her sincere answers, there was an interesting collision of souls.
Fashion is a language
Rebecca Ferguson (RF):Â I donât know, maybe both? I think my answer is, we learn over time. We learn by making mistakes, and we grow by listening to and observing others. At the same time, I like people and I like to communicate! If the other person is interesting and smart and makes me feel smart too, the conversation is interesting, or if the other person is challenging in some other way, that's also engaging. But I'm not always witty, sometimes I'm naughty and sometimes even rude, which isn't really good.
HB:Â You are a fashion icon on the red carpet, but we also want to know about your personal style and experience. Has your daily fashion changed because of the crazy costumes you wear? Or has it changed as a result of becoming a mother and entering a different stage of life?
RF:Â I think life is fluid and we change with it. What's important to me is comfort, although not necessarily to the standards of fashion. But fashion is in some ways an expression of identity and how we want to be seen; on certain occasions, it is also important to present yourself in a certain way. But on other occasions, like when I go to work, I usually wear fitness clothes with a big hat and T-shirt on top. When the weather is cold, itâs more casual. Even so, I will wear cool sneakers and some very colorful socks! I still left my mark, I was still me. Of course, working with different stylists has also changed me, some experiences have been great, but others have also made me realize what doesn't work for me. Fashion is really like a language, right? For example, working with my current stylist, Tom Eerebout, he takes me into some areas that I really like, and the whole process is wonderful. I discovered that I loved fashion and expressing myself through clothing and accessories.
HB:Â In early interviews you talked about a childhood full of creativity and memories, such as dancing, music, modeling, and gymnastics. Can you share with us how you explore your passion? Have these experiences shaped who you are today?
RF:Â I explored my passion through the job opportunities I was offered. I will use my past physical experience if needed! For example, when I was filming "Mission: Impossible," those dance and physical training helped me shape the character. As for another question, I think everything in life influences everything; everything we do is filling up the "backpack in life", whether it is good or bad experiences, and these experiences ultimately shape us.
HB:Â Can you share with us what is the best and worst thing that has ever happened to you in the entertainment industry?
RF:Â To be able to be a part of the entertainment industry, have a place here, and have a workspace to express myself, to be able to do all of that consistently; and to be able to make enough money to take care of myself, take care of my family (more than put food on the table), work It also makes me feel fulfilled and satisfied...it's really great. Of course, there are a lot of not-so-good things, but I'm at a very good peak at the moment, so I prefer to emphasize the positive things.

I know that thereâs American and European but Iâm not well versed in the differences between them. Like between builds. Are there temperamental differences? Are there other major lines?
[old ask regarding "types" of dobermans]
"American" and "European" are not even really major lines in themselves because there's a few within each that are all pretty different from each other. Somewhere in my blog I have a post about the structural differences with stacked examples of each, but I can't seem to find it right now.
Regardless- there's show lines both in America and in Europe, there's working lines in Europe, there's hypertypes in Europe, there's South American lines which tend to be a blend of show and working themselves, there's pet specific lines, there's Z-listed lines which are directly linked to albinism, there's UK vs the bulk of the rest of Europe vs Eastern European, there's American show lines that I would be incredibly uninterested in and American show lines that have proven they can do the work if someone is willing to give them a chance, there's what's going on in Australia and New Zealand and Japan and South Africa... and then when you get down to hyperspecific things there's a difference between "working lines in Germany" and "working lines in Sweden" and "working lines in Russia".
Fenris himself is a mixture of American/Canadian show, South American, and European working line dogs. His breeder is planning a litter which may also include European show lines, and I've been approached for a stud proposition for Fenris regarding a friend's Euro show bitch. Line blends are all the rage right now in the US because they appear to be creating dogs with significantly lower COI- the breed average ranges between 40-60% depending on exact pedigree (and remember, 25% is the average relatedness in humans between full siblings from the same parents) and blending these lines like this creates COI of as low as 18% which is still high but definitely a step in the right direction. As a result, it may be difficult to gauge at a glance what lines you should be grouping individual dogs under, because mixing the lines is pretty popular at the moment.

2024 u18 Women's Worlds Information
What: The biggest junior tournament for women's hockey, featuring the top players from 8 of the best IIHF countries
When: January 6th to January 14th
Full schedule available here (it will even convert to your time!) Since this takes place in Switzerland, most of these games will be early morning for North American's, but there's a few afternoon starts.
Where: Zug, Switzerland
Where to watch: The following will host at least some of the games. Sadly a lot are only showing games in their country and medal games (for example, in the round robin, TSN and NHL Network are only showing USA, Canada, and Slovakia.) There are also some alternate sources to watch if you do not have access to these channels, and I'm happy to connect if you're an active account on here if you DM me
TSN
RDS
NHL Network
SVT Sweden
Discovery Finland
Swiss digital / ringier sports
Format: There is an initial round robin round among each of the two groups, group A and Group B.
Group A contains Finland, Canada, Czechia, Germany
Group B contains Sweden, United States, Slovakia, Switzerland
After that, the teams will play a cross-over Quarter-final game in the following format (via wikipedia)
Who: Below the cut is the rosters for each team, a few notable players, and what the main goals for each team will be
Switzerland
(Text version available here and here)
2023 Finish: 7th place
What to expect: Switzerland has had a rough few years in the tournament, having had to play to avoid relegation the last two years. If they can stay out of the relegation game
Players to watch: Ivana Wey had 4 assists last world juniors, and is currently playing on a beyond stacked SWHL B team where she's seen a lot of ice time and scored a lot of goals. 15 year old Norina MĂŒller is one of the youngest forwards on the roster, and has seen some time in a SWHL A team this year, which is impressive experience especially at her age.
USA
Text version of roster available here and here
2023 finish: 3rd place/Bronze
What to expect: USA was upset by Sweden in last years semifinals, and is hoping to make it back to the medal game and upset the favorites and their rivals in Canada
Players to watch: Captain Maggie Scannell is in this tournament for a third time and was one of the best players last year, with 8 points in 5 games. 17 year old Boston College commit Ava Thomas is one of the many excited prospects coming out of the Philadelphia Jr Flyers program in recent year. She has dominated in many national tournaments before with speed that she utilizes well, and is a must watch as she makes her intentional debut.
Sweden
2023 Finish: silver
What to expect: Last year, Sweden had a huge victory over the USA to make the finals only to experience a disappointing 10-0 finish. This year, they will want revenge and a gold medal, maintaining a lot of the same group.
Players to watch: Hilda Svensson was the top scorer on the team and she has only gotten better, as one of the top scorers on SDHL team HV71. Isabelle Leijonhielm is playing in this tournament for the third time, and has taken a pretty big step at the SDHL level this year despite being on a struggling team and has a knack for getting shots through traffic
Slovakia:
Text version available here
Last year: 6th place finish
What to expect: Hope to continue to build on last year, but unlikely to move much in the standings, and show more depth
Players to watch: If you don't already know about Nela Lopusanova, you should look her up and instantly see what a sensation she is. Won best player of the tournament last year after scoring 9 goals and 3 assists in 5 games including a michigan goal, and has spent the past year at one of the best prep schools in north america. Her teammate, Ema Tothova, has also spend the past year getting better, and is one of the top scorers in the EWHL. The two will almost certainly be linemates and a must watch for this tournament
Canada
Text version can be found here and here
Last year: First/Gold
What to expect: Last year, Canada steamrolled everyone to victory, and much of the same roster is back and expecting to do it again. People have named this as one of the best u18 rosters we have seen.
Players to watch: Caitlin Kraemer had 10 goals last tournament, so eyes will be on her to repeat that great performance. Defender Chloe Primerano will be making her exciting u18 worlds debut after dominating the CSSHL U22 by having one of the best season ever recorded and becoming the highest scoring defender of all time in the league in just 45 games
Germany
Text version available here and here
Last year: Was in u18 Division I group A and was promoted!
What to expect: Germany will mainly be trying to avoid relegation and stay in the top division, a lot of the key player that helped with promotion have aged out sadly
Players to watch: Anastasia GruĂ was one of the top scorers last tourament with 5 points in 5 games. Emilija Birka and Mathilda Heine will be two of the youngest playres at this tournament at only 14 year old, so it will be interesting to see how they impact the roster
Finland
Text version available here and here
Last year: Fourth Place
What to expect; This is a team that wants to medal, and has more depth than teams like Switzerland or Slovakia, but may not have the star power to fully compete for a medal. Sanni Vanhanen aging out is a huge loss, and don't have some of the elite goaltender prospects to make up for that like they have in the past. That said, it's still Finland, and there are many players poised to break out. Such as the following!
Players to watch: Emma Ekoluoma has been great both in the Finnish top League (naisten liiga) as well as in international competition this year. Nelly Anderson is a 16 year old defender who made major steps this year and was impactful as she played more games in Naisten Liiga, and I'd expect her to get some big minutes
Czechia
Text version here and here
Last Year: Fifth Place
Expectations: Medal! There's a lot of reason to believe this group can take a big step this year as Czechia has reaped the rewards of investing in their women's program the past few seasons
Players to watch: AdĂ©la Ć apovalivovĂĄ was the top scorer for Czechia last year, and this year she enters as one of the top scorers in the SDHL where she plays against many senior level players. Same for Tereza PlosovĂĄ, a university of minnesota commit who has already been a consistent producer in the SDHL and played on the Czech senior team. Goaltender Daniela NovĂĄkovĂĄ looked good in an extremely small sample size at last years tournament, so we will see if she can build on that

Eurovision 2009 - Number 20 - Velvet - "Tricky"
youtube
If you're going to use the question, "Are they better than the Spice Girls?" as your promotional tool, there's the risk that the audience will answer, "No, they're not better than the Spice Girls". You might be able to brazen this out under normal circumstances. But if you then enter your girl-group into a national final where the audience can deliver a public, quantifiable opinion on whether the group are indeed better than the Spice Girls, then fronting it out is going to be much much harder. Possibly even a terminal problem for your music project...
Velvet were a girl band brought together and managed by Mads Rogde, formerly of the Cheezy Keys. They were aspiring singers Charlotte Ăverland VĂ„set, Anette Amelia Larsen, Cornelia BĂžrnick and Thea Bay. Charlotte was a stage musical actress appearing in a production of Cats, Anette was in Mamma Mia!, Cornelia was also in musicals, but of a less stellar nature, and Thea Bay was a dancer, choreographer and actress - also for stage productions. Just for a change, none of the band had been in any TV talent shows that I can find.
This was their first song and their first TV appearance. Even before they went on MGP, there were problems. There was another artist called Velvet (Jenny Marielle Pettersson) in Sweden. She'd appeared in Melfest twice already, and in 2009 she was competing again. If Velvet truly were better than the Spice Girls, there was the possibility of having two acts called Velvet on the stage in Moscow. The lawyers were armed and aimed, and the Norwegian Velvet backed down. At the time of the performance, Velvet had become Velvet Inc.
The song itself had some pedigree. It had been offered to Britney Spears for inclusion on her Circus album, but had been rejected. Tricky is by Hanne SĂžrvaag, Niclas Kings and Niklas Bergwall, a highly experienced group of songwriters. Hanne was well-known in the Norwegian music industry as a song-writer as well as having an album and a few singles of her own out. She'd also written Germany's 2008 Eurovision entry as well as a couple of MGP songs. Niclas and Niklas had written Belgium's 2006 Eurovision entry for Kate Ryan along with one of my favourites, Sivuoireita for the band Jane in the 2006 Euroviisut contest in Finland. It was a starry line-up and hopes must have been high for the launch of a new group.
And the girls delivered a performance. Given their professional background, this might have been expected. They're pitch perfect, harmonies all in place along with hitting those marks and knowing where the camera is. The song is polished pop, and has that debut-song-for-a-girl-group quality. Full of hooks and attitude. A statement song. If there's anything wrong here, you might criticise them for perhaps lacking a little in the sass, but that's a minor quibble there's nothing wrong with this at all.
Except for the comparison to the Spice Girls. Maybe without that this would have succeeded, maybe not. However MGP was stacked. Velvet Inc. did get through their heat and straight into the final without the need for duels or second chances. However, in that final, the big guns were firing. Four acts went through to the gold final, and Velvet Inc. were not one of them.
They had been proven not to be the next Spice Girls. As the members of Velvet Inc. all had ongoing day jobs on the stage, the group were quietly disbanded having failed to make it to Eurovision.
There is little in the way of anything after this as all four members of Velvet Inc. went back into stage acting and working away from the established music industry. However there is this clip of Anette Amelia Larsen appearing alongside Heidi Ruud Ellingsen on NRK game show Beat for Beat in 2013 singing Take Me or Leave Me from Rent.

Week 2: Hiking the Mountains
Hello! I have now completed my first full week here. My first week of working at SANSA went well and I love the work I am doing. I also am getting to use a lot of my coding skills which has been fun. The one downside was my imports for numpy and pandas for python stopped working briefly, which if you know python you know they are kind of important in programming. It rained during the week, so we didnât do much. Luz and I went out to town Friday night and got a nice dinner to celebrate finishing our week. I got Thai fish cakes and seafood pasta. The best part was at the end when they gave us each a spoonful of ice cream.Â

After dinner on Friday, the student residence had a game night and we got to meet more of our fellow students. It was a really fun night, but everyone is very competitive, so it did get a little intense. We started with Uno and we of course played with stacking +2 and +4 cards on each other (the only way). I got very lucky and was the first one out, but we kept playing until everyone but the last person was out. It was a lot of fun and when the +2 and +4 cards did get stacked someone else would count out how many cards they had to pick up. We then played charades, which was also fun and kind of chaotic because we had people switching sides and playing for both teams. Then we played a game called 30 seconds, which was like Taboo but with a board that you moved when you got the word right. Lastly, we played truth or dare, which was a little hard because I donât know much about everyone yet, but it was a great way to learn about everyone a little bit more. While I donât have pictures of game night, I do have more pictures of the student residence area and these blue headed birds that hangout near us.Â

Saturday we went on a hike in the mountains right next to us with Axel, our new friend who is a visiting student from Sweden. We hiked for about 4 hours and did 8 miles. It was so pretty, and we got to see the entire area from above including SANSA. There was one part in the beginning that was straight stairs up for several hundred yards and I thought I was going to die (I am very out of shape). Eventually, we made it to the top and hiked the trails on the top of the mountains. We also got to see the other side of the mountains for the first time, and there are more mountains beyond them as well as the vineyards. We also saw a lot of different fauna and lizards, butterflies and these birds with really long tails. The cool thing about the hike is that we went through multiple different ecosystems. We started by going up the mountain and saw meadows on top. Then we hiked down cliffs and passed through a rainforest, and as soon as we stepped in, you could feel the change in the air that was freaky and cool at the same time. We then ended up at the nature reserve, but when we got there they had closed the gate so we had to climb over it to escape (and avoid potential issues with the baboons) . Overall, it was a great day but hot (around 70° plus the sun) and tiring.Â

Today (Sunday), Luz and I slept in after our long hike and then walked to town. We went to a cafe and sat outside next to the ocean in the beautiful weather. I got these amazing waffles with salted caramel and nuts and a banana split smoothie. While we were eating we had multiple people come up and ask about the waffles, and yes, they were as good as they looked. We then went shopping for the week and came back to get ready for work the next week. Originally it was supposed to rain next weekend, but the forecast changed and the whale-watching is supposed to be starting, so hopefully we can see some whales and go kayaking (not next to the whales).

Moment of Awesome - Gabriel Cohuelo/Velocidad: During their mission in Spain, Velocidad and Marrow do their best to collect intel.
Gabe made a vague noise of assent. He picked up the cards and, using his powers, he flipped through them, sorting them by some mental order he couldn't really begin to explain into two equal piles. "Here," he said after he slowed down, handing her a bunch of cards.
He looked down at the card on top of his own stack and sighed. "Ugh. I guess it makes sense to start with SHIELD."
Sarah shook her head. "Well my contact there was full of shit, and I ended up with a flight manifest that expected me to believe that 'Project Bork Bork' was a mission investigating dog anomalies in Sweden. You have anybody better?"
"I dunno." He knew. Abigail Brand immediately flashed to mind; she certainly owed him a favor. Or forty. But he couldn't face her, not yet, and he was sure he could find other ways in. "Oh, yes, wait." He brightened, shuffling through the cards. "This guy's good." He pulled him out. "Sydney gave me a ton of contacts in and around the Med to start, and Javier's got eyes and ears all over Spain and Portugal. He speaks Spain Spanish and has the gall to make fun of my accent, but if it's some weird separatist shit, he'll probably know about it."
Gabe reached for his phone, scrolling through his contacts. "Let me give him a call..." He hit a button and sighed, his posture changing. "Hola, Javier," he said, and then began chattering away in Spanish.
Sarah flipped back through the cards while he talked, pulling two from the stack. These would likely need in person visits. Crime families she could do, though she suspected nobody was going to cause shit this close to Mama Bareste's birthday. Somebody was throwing a big party in Italy and everyone was invited. They loved a good party. She would ask Artie to do her a favor and see if anybody left the Morlocks with a chip on their shoulder recently. Maybe someone would recognize abilities or something. After Gabe hung up the phone, she held up another card. "Hell's Belles? You think they would let me join?"
"Probably," Gabe said with a shrug, trading his phone for his stack of note cards. "You seem the type," he added as he flipped through, pulling a few cards out of the stack. "Which I mean as a compliment, obviously"
He tossed the cards he'd withdrawn aside. "Javi knows nothing," he said by way of explanation. "Like, not a whisper, not a rumor. Which is concerning." He drummed his fingers on the table. "When you talked to SHIELD, they didn't â like..." He wasn't sure why he was hesitating, but the idea he'd had made him uneasy. "Did we rule out the Brotherhood?"
Sarah was still getting a feel for the regular suspects, but this seemed different. "Aren't they usually a little more vocal than this? Someone would be manifesto-ing all over the place if it were Brotherhood, right?"
"Yeah, but..." Gabriel wasn't sure what he wanted to say, exactly. "I guess. But we have to check all the leads, right?"
Sarah shuffled back through the index cards. "Here's another contact for SHIELD. They don't know me, but surely my glowing personality will win them over."
"I don't doubt it." Gabriel replied, not meaning to sound quite as dry as he did. He tried to soften his features a bit. "I'll make my way through the rest of my stack. Even though I hate operating on other people's conversational time. It takes forever."
He sighed, then cracked his knuckles. "Okay. Let's get to it."

Foodie adventures in southwest and southeast Sweden
Hoze sushiya in Gothenberg: The sushi here is excellent. The chef has an incredible level of understanding of Japanese history and sushi technique. His rice and shari are excellent, as are his selection of fish and his plated dishes. One of the best dishes of the meal was a simple bowl of rice with some cured egg yolk- his rice is that good. This is a sushi meal worth having outside of Japan https://www.instagram.com/p/C94Bt-UuNMD/?img_index=1
Knystaforsen: This restaurant feels like a dream, like you enter an enchanted garden for the entirety of the night. The food was very good, the space stunning, and the overall experience really, really magical. Some stand out bites included a charred strawberry, a tart with smoked cheese and trout roe, rainbow trout in a strawberry broth, a rhubarb jelly with smoked eel, a âwaldorf saladâ dish that was really a 3* dish, and duck heart with a burnt oil sauce. The smoky element of each dish really makes it an excellent meal. The only major issue I have with the place is their bread and pastries, which are really no good, which also made the cheese course less enjoyable. They need a new pastry chef. I would recommend staying the night at their hotel, so you get the full experience. Breakfast the next day is expensive for what it is, but also very nice https://www.instagram.com/p/C977GRwuQ-W/?img_index=1
Holy Smoke BBQ: The place is hip and a great vibe. The food is darn expensive though, and though the short rib and spicy bacon were great, everything else really wasnt- the brisket was too chewy and not juicy enough, the jalapeno sauce had no real flavor, the mac and broccoli was dry and no good at all, and the creamed corn was fine, but nothing exceptional https://www.instagram.com/p/C9wempMu4t7/
Flickorna Lundgren pÄ SkÀret: This cafe is oh so cute and lovely, especially on a sunny day. Their rhubarb juice is delicious, as is their princess cake. Sadly their cinnamon buns are nothing to write home about.
Talldungen Hotel: The hotel is lovely, especially in the summer with the gorgeous flowers in the garden, and the restaurant is excellent- the meal was incredibly reasonable priced, and the food was so bright and fresh. They served one of the best gazpachos I have ever had https://www.instagram.com/p/C99rK1pxrLG/?img_index=1
Vollmers in Malmo: After three weeks of eating at the best restaurants in southwest Sweden and in Copenhagen, I sadly report that this was the one really disappointing meal that we had- this is simply put not a 2* meal and doesn't stack up against its many competitors in the area. The pacing was off, the service wasnât great, and many of the dishes werenât great, or werenât well executed. There were a few good dishes- a potato foam dish, a squid dish that was very delicious, complex, punchy, highly technical and well executed, and sweetbreads with beets that were very good. But many of the other dishes tended towards the overly sweet side, and there was an overuse of vanilla in multiple dishes. I sent feedback to the chef, who wasn't there the night we eat there, and he refused to concede any issues re pacing or execution of the meal. Total and utter waste of money https://www.instagram.com/p/C-crt8stZ4Y/?img_index=1
Surf Shack in Malmo: this place makes a damn good smash burger. I wouldnât recommend the garlic fries, they are over-fried so a bit too greasy.Â
Kold in Malmo: Really, really good ice cream.Â
