New album for Italian Doomsters DVM SPIRO

My Kingdom Music and DVM SPIRO, great Italian Doomsters, have signed a new deal that will lead them together to the release of "MMXXV - Grave". This is the title of the successor to their successful and acclaimed debut "MMXIX - In Frigidvm Lectvm" released a few years ago. The new album will be released in Autumn and has been completed in these days.

With songs that never go under 11 minutes, DVM SPIRO, formed by members of NIHILI LOCUS (Max, Roberto, Valeria), an Italian cult band from the 90s, are going to give life to an extremely gloomy, heavy album even if their dark and arcane Doom Metal often is caressed by more Atmospheric, sometimes horrific and even symphonic elements. A general feeling of dark desperation, mixed with the natural funereal atmospheres of Doom Metal, is what emerges from the second album of DVM SPIRO and you will not waste a moment to let yourself be enchanted by their music and the sabbatical pace of their compositions! Heavy riffs, female voices and very deep growls, ancient atmospheres and even classical music enrich a unique sound that will surely be a must-listen for fans of My Dying Bride, Funeral, the first Paradise Lost, Shape Of Despair!

Roberto introduces us to it with this dark declaration of intent that has a strong sense of a harbinger of death: "There are things that as soon as they are born you already know they must die. A sublimation, an invisible caress that blurs life, and finally becomes a cold detachment. It is an indistinct death, in which follies shine in the dark. Without peeling frames, and funereal paintings of intangible prisons. We draw on a discontinuous salvation, through moments lost among infected wounds of withered bodies and adorned with the filthy rags of others. Disappointing, woven complaint of this life. “A Silence Too Old” marks Aphonic Threnody’s 7th studio album. The album again keeps the tradition of adding new artists and familiar ones who have featured previously on other albums. The album consists of 6 songs and still stays true to the bands roots. Riccardo has kept the familiar theme of depression, loss and grief throughout the album. Returning guest artist is JS Decline from Estrangement who once again preforms on drums and guitar solos. Vocals this time are from the multi talented Déhà who many of you know from the band Slow and many others. His vocals have given the album a fantastic feel and change of direction.
