this is another form of "the traditional nang dress which is still unnamed as of this post". this is a more "modernized" form which emerged in the 1940s. there are a few key differences, namely the silhouette, the top length, the belt placement, and the skirt designs. southern nang skirts usually sport patterns referencing nature while this form has more elaborate designs depicting scenes from life or whatever. you can see a lot of kimono influence here, as well - the two nations had quite a bit of contact with each other for a significant time in history. the north has a lot more japanese influence than the south but you can see the remnants all throughout the country, particularly in the way these skirts are made. i dont know enough about textiles to talk about that. sorry

the sleeve tails are usually tied together in daily life but for photos or formal events theyre left untied
