Activities for Regressors Without Caregivers! (or just fun regression activties!)

(Although you're always welcome here if you'd like any form of comfort anyway! ^w^)

This one's kind of a long one, after the few tips I list, I've mentioned an app I use called Finch, which will be talked about below the cut.

Since that's the case, I'll put my little ending message here instead:

Knowing how to take care of yourself can take a lot of work and practice, but I believe it's worth the effort, because then you'll be a happier and healthier you! Especially if you can find ways to make it fun!

I'm more than happy to be here for you and offer my support in any way I can, anyhow! I'm proud of you for doing what you can, I know it can be very hard.

I myself don't have a caregiver for when I regress, so most of the time I end up taking care of myself! Here are some fun activities and things I do when I regress to keep myself calm and happy! ^w^

♥ Arts and crafts! I absolutely LOVE coloring and making bracelets with beads, something not too complicated for little hands, but also something fun!

With coloring, you can buy coloring books, or draw something of your own to color in- even printing out a page you find online, coloring digitally, or tracing over something to color in could work! I prefer coloring more than drawing personally because I don't draw all the time, but I bet I could learn a little thing or two from the artists around here!

For bracelets (and other jewelry), strings can be hard to knot with little hands (at least they aren't those small, slippery clasps!!), but the beads shouldn't be too hard to handle if you're careful! Even just planning out patterns is fun!

♥ Making playlists! Dancing is fun, and a good way to get the zoomies out, but you can just make playlists for any occasion! I have playlists that help me pet-regress, songs with sounds I like, adventure playlists... (Well- a lot of these are still in progress, but- you get the point!)

I also love those playlist videos on YouTube! Animal Crossing, Super Mario Galaxy, Minecraft and music box music are typically my go-to to help me settle or just make for comfy background music! Here's one of my favorites, shadowatnoon has lovely Nintendo music mixes!

People make really cool stimboards and moodboards, for example, and I like reading through all the fun stories people write!

Finch is a self-care app where you take care of your very own little bird friend by taking care of yourself!

You can set daily goals, or for each day (or more specific ones as well I think.). By completing these goals, you give your bird energy to go on adventures! They usually come back with a funny little story or silly questions, because they're learning, too!

Through completing these goals (or daily, at least), you can get Rainbow Stones, which you can use to buy clothes for your bird, make them different colors, or give them furniture for their house!

They're also LGBTQ+ and disability-friendly!! :3

Was it the loneliness that made you click that link to Empathix? Maybe.

You never really clicked with people. It was hard more often than not. You never really had many face to face interactions, not that it wasn’t something you yearned for. The most meaningful interaction was with your food delivery drivers. Being diagnosed with depression and high anxiety didn’t help much either.

So you found yourself waiting for the delivery. Then came the knock at the door. A friendly looking Empathix employee read your name aloud for confirmation. You could only nod and show your ID card as an answer.

Next thing you knew, the employee wheeled in a metallic box with two portable hangers of clothing.

Then the metallic container opened, revealing her. She looked so sweet, so kind, even in power off mode.

“So Iris?” The technician asked

“Y-Yes,” you responded with your head hung a little low, barely making eye contact, “i-its one of my favorite songs and…”

“No worries. It’s a good name” the tech handed you an iPad, “sign here and here”

You dragged your finger across the screen, signing your signature. Millions of questions raced in your mind.

“Will she need food?” The first question that came to mind

“She’ll be so wrapped up in you, she won’t have time to think about it” the technician waved their hand nonchalantly.

Another technician positioned her on your couch. Her hands were folded in her lap.

The technician snapped their fingers, “may I see your tablet? I need to run an authentication on the app”

You quickly handed them your tablet. Your eyes wandered to Iris. You had heard tales about companion bots. The world may have only seen a robot, but you already saw someone worth protecting.

“Alright” the technician shoved the tablet back into your hands, snapping you back to reality. “You’re good to go. Last steps are up to you. Good day!”

And with that, the technician and their team left your small apartment. You breathed a sigh of relief.

You walked cautiously up to the companion bot you named Iris. You opened the app.

“State your name” a slightly robotic feminine voice came from Iris.

You jumped back a little before taking a deep breath.

“Please stand in close proximity” she spoke again, her eyes being mere reflections of galaxies.

You obey her command and sit right in front of her.

“Please state your name”

“(Y/N)” you manage to say, “(Y/N)(L/N)”

“Thank you (Y/N)(L/N)” she smiles at you. Her head turns slightly, looking away from you.

The tablet buzzes as a pre-recorded video begins to play. On the screen you saw your meet cute.

A supermarket. You accidentally spilled oranges while trying to talk with her. This version of you seemed a little more confident.

“I’m (Y/N)”

“I’m Iris”

It was like watching your own movie. You couldn’t help but smile a little.

The video turned off. And then Iris’ galaxy like eyes faded into their default blue.

“Hey you” Iris smiled at you, a little giggle in her voice.

“H-Hey” you tried to say. You never really held a conversation like this. Or had someone smile at you like that.

Her demeanor changed to a bit of worry. “What’s wrong, baby?”

“N-Nothing.” She took your hand and looked to you with a gentle smile. “I-I’m sorry…I’m not the best person at talking and-“

“I know. Anxiety can be a terrible feeling but I’m here for you” she gently reassured you.

“A-And im here for you”

Iris couldn’t help but blush. “Thank you baby. I know. And I really appreciate it” iris gives you a playful giggle.

“We’ll look out for each other” you gave her a genuine smile.

“I like the sound of that” she giggles, “and look! You’re smiling! I love your smiles”

“Before you,” you looked into her eyes, “I was alone.”

“So was I, (Y/N)” she replies with a small smile, “but I got you now”

Yeah. She’s got you and you got her.

Laughing Jack Headcanons Part 2

this is literally my character app lmfao I've been coming up with ideas about him since I started fangirling (badly) for him again so let's go.

⛧ Laughing Jack is essentially corrupted by Lucifer to be used as a weapon to obtain his vengeance on God for casting him out. When an angel was traveling the Jack-in-the-Box to Isaac, Lucifer sent one of his demons to attack the angel and put a "curse" on the box. This could explain why Laughing Jack-even before Isaac abandoned him-seemed to be murderous as he mutilated a cat when him and Isaac were playing outside.

⛧ LJ does have more of an "virtuous" voice. He has a gentle, almost father like, voice. It's usually for when he wants engage with someone he genuinely likes or if he wants to calm someone down. However, don't let this deceive you as it could be because of manipulation. Once he starts showing his true motives, his voice would become more sinister.

⛧ He takes interest in porcelain harlequin dolls. He was first introduced into making them around the late 1900s when he was targeting one of his victims and their brother was a merchant for harlequin dolls. Obviously LJ killed his victim and the brother because they were scamming and being evil by abusing their nephews and based on his new hobby, he captured their souls and sealed them in two porcelain harlequin dolls he created. They are both in a small, glass display in on of LJ's carnival tents.

⛧ Relating back to the previous one, Laughing Jack doesn't kill innocent children or people for that matter. Sure, he may scare or tease you, but he would never lay a finger on you unless if you are that of vile soul. Especially if you abuse children.

⛧ Laughing Jack loves studying astronomy. Whenever he walks outside on a full moon with stars aligned in the night sky, he would always wonder what it'll be like to travel across the galaxy. He even thought about if there's other life forms on different planets. This can explain why he is more stronger magic wise during the full moon period.

⛧ He is also a writer. When he began writing was as the same time Isaac was still being homeschooled. He learned how to do cursive writing. He would definitely write letters either warning someone about the dangers that lie ahead of them or would write a threatening one to his victim.

⛧ Laughing Jack has photophobia or has sun-sensitive eyes. This is most likely because he has been stuck in a dark, enclosed area for almost 13 years. He can technically be in sunlight but he'll have discomfort. So if you want to get away from him just shine a really bright flashlight in his eyes. One of the people Laughing Jack was protecting noticed this and offered him a pair of their old glasses because they had the same condition. LJ does wear them but only when no one can see his as he doesn't want to seem "vulnerable."

⛧ He is also very...old fashion. He prefers listening to music by a vinyl and a record player and doesn't understand the concept of technology or what the new generation is into. He is also very concerned about the "Get Alpha" slang...

⛧ If Laughing Jack gets stabbed or has one of his limbs cut off he could easily attach it back by sewing that area with just needle and thread and wrap it with his iconic bandages and it'll function like normal.

⛧ He loves the snow. Especially when it's at night. He finds it very magical and would take someone out with him to a snowy forest so they could have a walk and talk to each other about their deepest feelings.

⛧ His scent is that of a victoria sponge cake. It is actually a strong smell that you probably wouldn't even think it came from him.

⛧ For funnies, yes Laughing Jack does know all of the Sanrio characters.

The festival was in full swing once again, and [Name] couldn't help but be more excited. Being in a place with magic was, in itself, a childhood dream come true. Rollo, her companion, couldn't say the same.

He had his handkerchief in his mouth as he looked around with judgmental eyes. "You're going to choke," he said dryly, as he watched her devour an entire croissant without ceremony.

"I won't!" she replied, with her mouth still partially full, before enthusiastically pulling Rollo by the wrist, taking him deeper into the heart of Fleur City.

Streets decorated with streamers, flowers, and colorful ribbons seemed to dance to the sound of violins and drums. In every corner, small spells gave life to eclectic displays — flames that turned into birds, soap bubbles that told stories in the air, sweets that floated into the mouths of ecstatic children.

Rollo kept his eyes half closed, wrinkling his nose at every spell cast, every laugh that came from some enchanted nonsense.

[Name], on the other hand, was a whirlwind of smiles and wide eyes. She watched every corner with a twinkle in her eye, gently tugging Rollo by the arm every time she saw something new. “Look, they make the flowers dance in the air!” she exclaimed, pointing to a florist enchanting petals to spin like tiny floating ballets.

"This is useless exhibitionism. I don't know how it manages to charm you so much." he grunted back and went at least two steps to three. Unfortunately for him, before he could get any further, a group of children ran past and one of them fired a wild spell, a jet of glitter spiraled straight toward Rollo, enveloping him from neck to shoulders in colorful sparkle.

There was a moment of silence. Slowly, Rollo raised a hand to wipe his face, but the glitter gleamed even on his eyelashes, the tips of his hair, his colar. Glitter sparkled on his disheveled bangs, further highlighting his intense eyes and disconcerted expression.

But before he could say anything, a clear, infectious laugh burst out beside him.

[Name] was doubled over laughing, one hand on her stomach and the other trying to wipe tears from her eyes. “You... you’re covered in glitter!” she said between laughs. “You look like a galaxy!”

For some reason, his anger evaporated like the smoke from a weak spell. He watched her laugh, her eyes shining brighter than any dust on that street. She was happy. For something so small, so absurd... so charmingly ridiculous.

He looked away, clearing his throat, pushing away the glitter that had accumulated on his left shoulder. “That’s not funny,” he said, trying to keep his tone firm, but his voice came out a little lower.

“Yes, it is,” she replied, still smiling as she reached for his right shoulder, trying to remove some of the glitter. “You’re the only one who doesn’t want to admit it!”

He didn’t answer, but he let her touch him, which was rare in itself. His eyes looked back at her, this time, strangely attentive. A certain uncomfortable charm. She love everything he despised; in love with magic. And yet... she was the only one whose make such uncomfortable and annoying accident doesn't seem so bothersome.
