To see the boy’s face was definitely one way to calm the fusion down. The fact that he had been kidnapped himself could wait until after she had a moment’s break from her panic. Garnet didn’t hesitate, scooping the boy up as she ran to heft him into the air with a grin on her face. After being so freaked out, at least she knew Steven was safe. That took a lot of the weight off her shoulders.

“Cute costume, kiddo.” 

Managing to find someone that looked like they might have rushed their costume more than her? That was paws-itively startling! Still, it made Nadia feel like her costume wasn’t an absolute disgrace. So props, kid, you cheered this kitten up.
