The Great Trial of Challenges

OH THIS ONE! I really wanna talk about this cause i think this is a pretty cool feature they add. Sadly I didn't get the main gist of this buuut I'm pretty sure this feature requires a shit ton of your playtime experiences and some competitive thinking (rambling warning btw lol)

How it works is that you have those green keys you can spend ONLY on the Great Trial and let me tell you: the Great Trial...is srsly a trial. Y'know those competitive features in the YW mainline games where you can set the rules only to specific rank of youkais (Like set the rule to an only Rank A or C battle), the Great Trial of Challenges is kinda like that...except it's very mean (It may be easy if I have some translation skills but it may be not haha XD).

Let's set up a real example coming from a KW player: If I remember, the trial is set up by 3 stages. Each stage contains restriction and certain aspects for tribe AND rank.

The 1st stage is free-for-all style meaning no restriction/rule, just put out your best team.

The 2nd stage gets a bit harder. There are now rules and restrictions. Let's say the rule for this stage says you can only use Rank A or lower youkais (I believe this also applies to Gunmashin/War Demon God's Rank???) AND you cannot use this following tribe: Enma and Kaima tribe

Now comes the 3rd stage, this time it's serious. I believe they add more rules and restriction to this stage so now, you can still use Rank A or lower BUT you are forced to use them from this tribe like you can use Rank A-C but only from the Slippery tribe. This also will go for the Gunmashin as well (You can only use the demon god's from this specific class)

Sometimes the rule will keep you using Rank Sho but you can't use Rank Paradise/Heavenly Rank youkais

Very challenging but it's also pretty cool! You may think that this looks like it's worth to try it out...yet I haven't mention why this feature is very mean. I haven't gone that far yet I also forgot how many challenges I clear (I think I clear at least 50???) BUT...there is a challenge that will forever be a wall to me before this game announce to go defunct. What challenge is that I struggle the most?

On the 3rd stage of the challenge I was on (again Idr what it is exactly), there is one rule...that is so mean idk how the f- am I suppose to do. These are the following restrictions: Rank Sho, Any tribe is acceptable, Gunmashin is allowed, you are forced...to use one youkai

Part of me thinks that maybe with quick summoning, instant collision damage and bulky stat could work right? Ngl, I got my ass kicked like so many times on this freakin 3rd stage of the challenge I was stuck on (I tried to use Rank Sho Rinne on this challenge, 3 seconds later and he immediately got his ass kicked asksa)

Again, pretty cool feature for challenging players and huge props to the user responsible for the Heavenly Rank's stories (bc I'm pretty sure you unlock those scenes by completing certain amount of trials. I'm very positive you have to beat EVERYTHING and my poor brain is not enough :'''>)

Finally finished HSR 3.0 story.

It is....................... fine. It's perfectly fine.

Tbh I'm not even being facetious about this, I do think it's fine, and I'm mildly interested in where this is all going. My biggest reservation is that I simply have no faith in MHY being able to actually take the setup anywhere.

3.0's greatest... weakness? is that it's almost entirely setup and pretty much nothing else. Phainon walks off into a trial and even explicitly states that defeating Nikador didn't do anything for his mental state. Mydei's theoretical emotional stakes in this are told to us by others while he's offscreen (more than once) and he doesn't have any particular internal changes based on the events here. Aglaea implies an internal conflict, but it definitely hasn't come to a head yet. Tribbie is just straight up not explained yet. Castorice has the most emotional something going on, which also ends up making her the most interesting character here imo, but again, it's all setup for her search for Death and whatever her deal is.

The setup is fine, but since it does nothing else, everything is going to hinge on where this all goes. And I have yet to see MHY actually payoff a story in a satisfying way. Even Belobog notably tripped over itself in the last stretch specifically. The fact that this is all going to take the better part of a year is.......... ouch. Not encouraging at all.

Aside from that, I would say 3.0 had two issues. One is the "puzzles" they used as padding in between story scenes. I get why these sections are there, and I don't think it's a bad thing to have this kind of break in between talking, but the implementation was lacking. You arrive at a location, you watch some talking, you walk forward five meters, you get three more dialogue boxes, you walk forward three more meters, you get a tutorial popup, and this repeats like 3-5 times per area. And the "puzzles" are basically just interacting with things. It just makes things feel dragged out, a bit stupid, and ridiculous, since this is all supposed to be about fighting anyway.

The second issue is that a lot of character stuff is just not shown to us. Mydei's everything is just told to us by other people when he's not around, so his one instance of actual emotion is when he gets momentarily worked up when asking Castorice about what happened in the memory, which she doesn't even answer, so we don't see his reaction to any of that. Phainon harps on about his internal struggles, with everyone else as chorus, but it's very ambiguous what is supposed to be going on with him. Maybe this is intentional, given that his story is obviously not supposed to be paying off yet, but since he's pretty much the most constantly present character, having his everything be so vague is just not great. Aglaea brings up losing her humanity, but what does that even mean? Etc.

And not helping all this is when they give you a book that recites backstory to you. For four characters in a row. Like... at least stagger the unlock for them or something. But better yet, integrate this stuff in the actual story! Why am I reading a non-canon story book about the characters?

That said, it's not particularly bad about things. The pacing, aside from the "puzzle" interludes, is imo not worse than general fantasy stories that need to do a ton of setup about their setting. The stuff they are setting up seems potentially interesting, with plenty of mystery and twists (a thing that Belobog lacked almost entirely). Castorice in particular had a surprisingly good showing in the last third. I came away liking her much more than I ever expected from that design and the faint wiff of waifu around her early on. And as someone who played games where everyone was a low polygon chibi model, I don't find it a deal breaker that the visuals are generally whatever aside from the background set pieces.

It wasn't bad, and I'm curious where it'll go.

Hello! I made this blog to spend time and practice my drawing, however, there are some things to note before anything else...

1. My wrists are actually not good, they hurt a lot constantly, so drawing is painful, which means that despite my initial goal, I won't be able to draw all the time, and I'll eventually just draw chibi style to save myself from suffering.

2. English isn't my first language! There might be mistakes and typos here.

3. I'm a university student, so I might take my time answering, I'm sorry!

I don't have many rules for interactions or asks to be honest, just be a decent person and we will get along.

3. A random headcanon I have of them

I love to think of them as gossip buddies. Like, Kaeya keeps his actual intelligence close to his chest, and Lisa is similarly reserved in some scholarly areas, but when it's like, juicy inconsequential interpersonal drama, neither of them is going to spread other knights' business outside the Ordo, but they absolutely get together at least once a week to just catch each other up on what's been going on in the administrative vs. field-duty sides of the Ordo. And probably giggle about Huffman.

5. A scene I wish we had of them

ANYTHING AT ALL. Hoyoverse keeps putting them together in the back of, like, chibi scenes of the Knights, and I like to take Jean's line to Lisa that goes something like "this is why you and Kaeya like taverns" as implying that they go out drinking together, but I once went back through the entire game prologue for fic purposes to see if I could find them interacting and the only time they're in the same room, it's with Jean, and they both talk to Jean but not to each other. Hoyoverse please.

That said, I think I would love seeing them interact one-on-one regarding Ordo affairs--the sequence of last year's Golden Apple Archipelago implies some interesting things about the internal hierarchy and interactions and I'd like to see more!

14. If I can picture them to be more than only friends

Ahahaha, I have actually thought a fair bit about this in the context of Lisa/Jean/Kaeya(/Eula), which is my tiny little canoe of a ship that I am ridiculously obsessed with. And what I generally come out with in regards to that particularly context is that I have trouble picturing them interested in each other romantically, but I can also definitely see them having all the complicated kinky sex that Jean is simply too vanilla and too busy and too tired to be interested in. And I guess I could see that outside of the larger ship too? Just the two of them as friends with benefits, having a good time together. But I struggle to see them having romantic chemistry regardless of context.

15. If I would want to be friends with them

Kaeya always feels like someone who might be a little dangerous to hang out with, and I don't know that I could keep up with Lisa conversationally, but if they were out at a tavern or something, I would love to hang out!

I'm not really interested in knowing who is seme and who is uke, but what their couple dynamic would look like? What would be their struggles? What would they talk about?

For example, what if Naruto wanted a family and Sasuke didn't. Would Naruto -as a Hokage- be hesitating on sending Sasuke on dangerous missions? What are their plans for the future?

Or how would they search for/react to/display/intimacy? Would they stay closeted (like they kinda are in Boruto XD)? Or would they be openly gay and live with each other? How would each of them react to homophobia towards them? I'm curious about your head canon! ♥️

But you asked the wrong person!!!! LOLOL.... I’ve never read any SNS fanfiction so far  to even base my headcanon upon (except for 1 which had just 3 chapters and I just started 1 very recently)

But,

I can say you one thing. 

As you know very well that I treasure SNS ship a lot, A LOTTTTTT..... So I won’t just compare this ship with anything so easily. And if I do, which means it’s really worthy. I came to ship SNS only because Naruto and Sasuke’s interaction always reminded me of this other Ship I loved a lot before watching Naruto. 

And after finishing Naruto, I came to this conclusion that If Naruto and Sasuke were allowed to be together, then probably they will display their love very similar to the other Couple I loved. Because culturally they share the same value and the world is Ancient. Just like Naruto series has Chakra, they also have Spiritual Energy in their abdomen. 

And also, the Couple shares the same dynamics with SNS... That is, One is a  Bright, Cheerful, Messy, Prank loving Bubble and the Other is an Unexpressive, Stern, Elegant, Intense loving Heart-throb.... 

Oh by the way, in this Dynamics everything is similar to SNS except for One.... What happens if Sasuke stayed in the Light Path and Naruto went to the Dark Path??? What will Sasuke do for Naruto??

LOLOLOL...  Just like how Rikkudou Sennin made an unofficial Marriage for SNS.... 

If you ever decided to give this amazing series a try.... I suggest you to start with the Live Action, then Novel, Anime, Chibi-Anime.... In this particular order... Because Live Action has no Adult Contents and so Pure just like in Naruto Manga.... It will really make you gush over them a lot and then if you want to really know how they ‘Get together’, you can read the Novel linked here..[Link]

So, Please don't google about this and try to watch it without any spoilers because the plot is equally captivating as our Main Characters’ chemistry.... Lots of Angst, Tears, Brotherly sentiment, Brother-Sister Bond, no annoying Female Characters.... And Don't just watch it for the fluff stuffs because the story and romance is like Yin and Yang... You really have to pay attention to the story to understand their Bond. 

First 2 episodes might be hazy... because the story is Non-Linear... But don’t drop it.. Starting from Episode 3 you will really get into the Flashback and then later you will understand what First 2 episodes are all about... 

So, Yeah!!!! The Tagline itself touts them as Soul Mates... 

This is my Head Canon about the Adult version of SNS... And the Actors are really handsome and talented enough to portray our Naruto and Sasuke in a Soulful Manner with such Tenderness. 

After watching this series, even if you have a shred of doubt that Naruto and Sasuke may be Brothers.... it will all fly off to the trash Can because, the show clearly distinguished how Brothers would Act around each other and how Soulmates act in a subtly Romantic Way. I wish those Antis watch this series and understand the meaning of Soulmates & SNS... That’s only my wishful thinking...

Mini-Review: The Royal Tutor

An enigmatic professor who's often mistaken for a child is hired to tutor four problem princes who'd rather do anything but study with a teacher.

Ah, the miracle teacher who sees through student struggles and pain to connect with them and teach them both their lessons, and how to open up. I love this trope--who wouldn’t want a teacher who not only knows their shit, but knows how to teach said shit, and also realizes the depths of your potential and helps you realize your passion and build on it?

This is primarily a lighthearted, humorous series. Despite the fact that the princes are being tutored because their father the king kinda thinks his adult firstborn (these are princes #2-5) might not be fit for the throne, we don’t get into politics, and barely get into court factions and rivalries--and even then, it’s basically just one guy close to Prince #1 (no, literally his name is Prince Eins) doing his best to make the younger princes less desirable by digging up scandals occasionally. I’ll touch on the serious aspects a little later.

At its core, you’ve got 4 teenage princes in late-1800s psuedo-Austria who have chased off their previous tutors for an unspecified length of time, but it’s been a while since they had consistent, proper schooling. Their new tutor is a no-name man who looks about 12 years old, who has to not just teach the pampered dorks, but convince them he’s worth listening to. Also at its core is a show so dedicated to the joke that the tutor is an adult! but small and looks like a child!!! that he’s often animated as a chibi and shown interacting with the world in a way only possible if he was actually 2 feet tall.

It’s a gag but you know what? It made me laugh. So: good gag. (Plus, at 12 episodes, it doesn’t really have time to get tiring.)

Looking at the princes, you’ve got Kai, who doesn’t have Resting Bitch Face so much as Resting Murder Face, a contrast to his love of all things small, soft and fluffy; Bruno, glasses-wearing nerd supreme;

Leonard, the sweet-toothed, athletic airhead; and Licht, the irrepressible flirt. The tutor, Heine, has to understand what makes each one tick and help them be better people in the way that all great-teacher-trope characters must. That’s not a criticism.

The anime is very light. You’re not going to find out if any of the princes are chosen to be heir. Instead, the episodes are filled primarily with Heine teaching them Something Useful (such as “this is what non-palace city life looks like” or Conversational Basics 101), and the princes, y’know, being dorks about it.

Now, it’s pretty clear early on that Heine has a secret. I mean, look at this face. This is the I am so much more capable and dangerous than you think anime face.

I won’t spoil the show, but we find out in the first couple episodes that a) Heine knows the king on a first-name basis, 2) the king and Heine are pretending they don’t know each other, and 3) Heine took the job with the understanding that if the truth about his past ever got out, he would quit.

oh ho HO that is some mysterious backstory there! Now, the manga is ongoing and to date Heine’s history is still unknown. We’ve learnt about some of his talents, but not how he developed them or where he met the king, much less how he formed a close friendship.

The anime has actually gone and given Heine a backstory to explain everything, so by episode 10 (of 12) we are solidly in anime-only territory. This isn’t a bad thing--in fact, I think the decision makes the anime by itself have a pretty good story arc, letting it close without a cliffhanger. A good decision for an anime that is unlikely to ever get a second season.

Verdict

English dub? Yes. It’s solidly good--I think they sound more like college adults than teenagers, but they didn’t sound jarring. I loved Bruno’s voice. His voice actor often--not all the time, just on occasion when the emotion levels called for it--showed Bruno’s ridiculous emotional devotion to Heine. Heine’s VA also conveyed his excellent deadpan.

Visuals: Shiny! I mean, all the time. Their hair. So shiny.

Worth watching? Yes, it wraps up nicely, and while the final episodes get a bit more serious (as they finally delve into Secrets and History that it’d been hinting at forever), the majority of the series is just nice stories with happy endings.

Can you describe in detail this? If you (and a few others) could fully (or partially) change MLB, how would you guys change it? My guesses: Littlebug/Chatton Noir/Kagami's Daughter exist, and the status quo is practically gone, or THE FREAKING WILL THEY WON'T THEY love... Polygon????

To be fair, we probably couldn’t make Littlebug and Chaton exist in canon without…complications in terms of what happens to them. Though if we could simply ignore all that and keep the cuteness, I think we would probably make the web series about them and their daily antics in being living dolls rather than tormenting poor chibi-Chat, and I’m sure people would likely prefer that.

AU items aside, as far as changes to the show, continuity would be the big thing. As would removing the ever present “Status-Quo-Yo”. There would be an order to the episodes and changes that carry over from one to the next.

There would be less time wasted on plot points that go nowhere and Marinette cringe. There would also be less focus on Marinette making mistakes and being forced to “learn something” every episode. It’s the same problem as Steven Universe in that every episode HAS to be from Steven’s perspective, which limits what they can show other people do since we’re supposed to be discovering things as he does. Miraculous has already shown that it doesn’t have to do that, so step back the Marinette focus and cut away some of the excess.

Have the episodes expand on the other members of the cast. That way, we learn a bit more about their lives, their personalities, and their growth. Have other people presented with challenges and learn lessons as they grow into their own. Also have more instances of more of them acting silly and being teenagers. The one thing that both Party Crasher and Puppeteer 2.0 got right was showing the interactions between other members of the cast. We got to see the boys acting silly with their party. We got to see Alya and Nino acting like an actual couple rather than two people shoehorned in together. It’s also the reason why many folks liked Silencer even if they weren’t Lukanette fans—not because it’s Luka’s episode, but because we got to see Marinette hanging out with Kitty Section and doing things that didn’t involve her overwhelming crush on Adrien.

I would have more focus on Adrien and his challenges of acclimating to a school and non-professional social settings. Have him be awkward—not because a gum incident set off a bad start, but actually SHOW him trying and failing to talk to people because he doesn’t know how or what to talk about. SHOW his supposed interest in anime. Have him TALK to people about his interests. Have him note tropes and struggle with the understanding that no, the Power of Friendship is not actually a thing—then have Nino and others be confused and exasperated when the akuma of the day ends up proving Adrien right. Or have Adrien pulling stupid stunts—he’s cooped up in his room all day, he needs SOMETHING to occupy his time! I want Plagg and Adrien moments where it isn’t just Plagg being the comic relief, but rather the bad influence encouraging Adrien to do things.

Adrien: Think I can do a flip off the rock wall and land on the couch?

Plagg: DO IT.

Or again, the aforementioned anime interest.

Plagg: This is lame. The show makes no sense. The characters make no sense. And the romance is sub par.

Adrien: (Slyly) Yeah, you’re right. Usagi could do better than Mamoru anyway.

Plagg: YOU TAKE THAT BACK!

Whenever we see Adrien, it’s boring. Oh look, Adrien playing the piano because it’s his schedule even though nobody seems to care. Oh look, Adrien doing something at his computer. Oh look, Adrien being sad. Again. Sure, this keeps up the “perfect” angle, but it’s not because he actually is, but rather because he DOESN’T DO ANYTHING.

Marinette isn’t allowed to be right. Adrien isn’t allowed to be wrong. So they have Marientte constantly making mistakes and be the focus of attention while they flat out ignore Adrien except to remind us that he’s there and perfect. So I’d include confused Adrien. Adrien being a teenager. Adrien doing stupid things. Adrien making actual mistakes and learning lessons. Adrien who is actually shown doing things he LIKES doing.

And I know a lot of people would hate me for this, but I say include a male Lila (Lilam?) to help screw with Adrien. Adrien still doesn’t get a lot of aspects of student culture and social norms, and I could see someone taking full advantage of that to use against him. Not to make him a boyfriend, but just to topple the “perfect boy”. Make Adrien the male Lila’s target because Adrien wouldn’t be quite as sure what to do about it, and this would be a case where his initial “non-confrontation” stance WON’T WORK. This would also serve to give us the Adrien Protection Squad we’ve all been wanting once his friends figure out what’s happening.

In addition, I’d include more focus on lore and plot. Season 1 to introduce the characters and establish the world. Season 2 to expand on the lore and start to explore the Miraculous and what they truly are. Show who the other past Miraculous users were and what they accomplished. Give us a past Miraculous user gone rogue who comes back for revenge. And Season 3 to try to actually take down Hawk Moth with that knowledge. Marinette starts learning more Guardian things as Fu starts to prepare her to become his successor. Adrien starts investigating his mother’s disappearance and the strangeness in his own home. These things start to come together, leading to a clash for both teens as they have to discover themselves, where they stand, and which side they’re going to be on.

Have MORE go on with this game of cat and mouse between the heroes and Fu VS Hawk Moth. Him trying to capture the heroes while they are slowly but steadily trying to track him. Then when he discovers Fu’s presence, a growing tension as Fu and Gabriel are each trying to hunt the other down while trying to avoid being caught themselves. A circular game, one with more intrigue and espionage. Where Hawk Moth gets his little victories just as much as the heroes get theirs. Until eventually it all comes to a head when each knows who the other is and have to figure out how to act on it.

And for the Love Square…slow burn buildup. Season 1 for them both to realize their interest in the other and come to terms amidst the whole “being heroes” issue. Season 2 to try to address it and deal with being rejected. Season 3 to try and move on only to be reminded why they fell in love. See that? We can draw out the Love Square while still making progress.

NO STATUS QUO. There will be PROGRESS. There will be healthy relationships and friendships and actual interactions. There will be lessons for people besides Marinette. There will be greater buildup to the other heroes getting Miraculous as well. It’s not just Marinette tossing a Miraculous at them when it’s convenient, it’s each of the other heroes proving THEMSELVES. It will make each incident of them becoming heroes something to build up to rather than something expected because “Everybody gets a Miraculous now”.

I’m sure there are others or I could get into more specifics, but yeah. That’s what I’d say to go for.

Need time to play DA:I. So far, I've got the GOTY version for PS4 and created my character - and I bought it over three years ago. Lame. ._.

SAME. My first run was bad. I bought it in 2015, for like $60. Mofo took for EFFING EVER to install. Then the gameplay was just SO slow going for me, stuck in those frikkin Hinterlands & going on endless fetch quests and requisitions and blah blah. And Bioware’s glitchy AF animations are...interesting to experience. By the time we FINALLY got to the actual PLOT and met the big-bad at Haven, Corypheus was just running his mouth monologuing, and after wandering aimlessly around Skyhold I lost my patience with DA:I entirely. I returned it at Gamestop and got The Witcher 3 instead -- BEST DECISION EVER.

But DA:I was always at the back of my mind, and after all this time I decided to revisit it. I like it! TBH, the best part about DA:I is the party banter, and getting into the lore about Thedas’ history and what’s up with the Fade and effing Solas and everything. And I already told y’all about my crush on The Iron Bull -- I missed him so much! XD

Embroidery? Canvases? That sounds so cool, are u an artist? 😯

i’m actually only just getting back into it recently, but yeah, i’ve done cross-stitch and embroidery art (mostly cross-stitch but i sometimes mix with standard embroidery style) since i was a kid. i have 3 primary hobbies: plants, watching sports, and art/crafting. i also do paper art, like cutting and layering paper to create images, and i’m a hobby photographer. i used to draw too, but i’ve struggled with continuing that into adulthood.

anyway the project i mentioned in my tags (bc i love talking about my projects and will take any opportunity to talk about them) is taking a triptych of thrifted art i found and refurbishing them by using them as my embroidery canvass. but i have to perforate holes in all of them first since they’re painted and sealed, and thus difficult to embroider over without pre-punching the holes. i’m still working on the perforations — it’s taking forever bc i’m gridding all the holes and then punching them in manually with a thumbtack. here’s a progress shot:

i’ve been alternating between that big project and a bunch of small kits to break up the work. one of my recent side projects was hockey-adjacent since i used a hockey quote over it (i freehanded the text to substitute for what the pattern originally intended, which was a cheesy quote about home that isn’t really my vibe). here’s the finished product and it hanging on the gallery wall in my living room. (surprise, i’m an adult who designs her own home style even tho my internet persona is just a screeching monster of the deep)

i’ve also done a project of canucks fanart that a friend of mine did back in like 2013-ish i think? idk if anyone else remembers but there used to be an account on here called widdlekes and she drew cute chibi art of the canucks. miss you, tina 💕 this was converted to pixel/grid and then sewn from tina’s illustration of widdle burr

This for the most part went well but was pretty hard to do as things got busier at work..^^; These pieces were a combination of traditional and digital pieces :) I also started practising poses, firstly starting on this short Naruto and Jiraiyia manga thing https://www.deviantart.com/fran48/art/Naruto-and-Jiraiya-reunion-short-manga-in-colour-777916676 .. I also drew a picture of the beast from Beauty and the beast after this https://www.deviantart.com/fran48/art/Beast-777789340 :) My family really loved this piece and want to have it framed ^_^ This has further encouraged me to create more disney pieces :) I have also started playing Pokemon moon and have already been preparing pokemon art for next year :) Overall I feel I have gotten into a few different animes this year but I want to get into so more being the anime obsessed nerd that I am XDD I also really want to cosplay more..XDD...I also want to work on more new art pieces next year but I'll have to see how busy I am and how life goes XDD...I'm not sure how much I've improved this year, I have been working really hard on improving my poses but I still need to improve , as with anatomy :) I may not say this enough and may not be very active all the time but you guys who have stuck with me through every anxiety journal , moan ( know I often sound like a broken record half of the time with my anxiety and everything else ^^;) and the spam posts of artwork, I want to say I appreciate every kind comment, like and watch I have been given, they honestly mean so much to me :hug: and also the patience of many of you who were waiting for replies from me and having to wait months and even years ^^;....XD..I honestly need to work on replies in the new year among a number of other things ^^;...I may have missed out details of this but this is just a general summary so yeah ^^;... Tag game - writing

1. When starting something new, how much do you know about the story before you start writing?

Depends on what it is and what kind of mood I’m in. For my current novel, I’m trying to figure out as much as I possibly can beforehand. Or at least basic plot and character motivations. For most of my fanfics, I write on the fly. 

2. What draws you to your WIP(s)? Why did you choose to write that/those over anything else?

I write the stories that I want to read because they haven’t been written most of the time. In fanfic, I write pretty niche work, so that draws me into the WIPS. Knowing that they are rare or not often done and that I’m the one who has to finish them. In my original fiction... I have more of a problem that I don’t get drawn into my WIPS. Because I can’t share them as I write them and then I don't get the encouragement my muse needs and so I stop at around 35,000 words or so. I’m working to combat this.

3. Favorite writing spot? Why?

My desk under a bright lamp. Because it somehow activates my brain to creativity. Also at the kitchen table, because drinks and snacks are really close by.

4. Share your favorite line of what you’ve written so far!

I don’t think it’ll ever see the light of day otherwise because the story it's in is so cliche ridden and badly written, but this is my favorite piece of interaction between Wyatt and Cristian: 

“Drop it, Wyatt.”

“No, I’m not dropping it. Tell me.”

“Wyatt just fucking drop it and go fuck a fruit bowl.”

Wyatt pouts at him and crosses his arms over one another defensively. “Fine, bloody asshole ya are. You know that?”

“Asshole is my middle name.”

“Clearly.”

5. If you had to choose one oc to bring to life as an actual person, which one would it be and why?

Hmmm, it’s a bit of a tie between Cristian, the sassy but good-natured demon teenager whose father is Lucifer himself or Kyan, the protagonist of this year's novel. The Army captain who has a bionic leg and fights on the side of the regime that tries to control a disease outbreak that threatens to destroy humanity. Now Kyan’s not the sharpest tool in the shed and his big mouth can get him in trouble. But he has a good heart and he’s basically a gen Z’er in an apocalypse.

6. Are you looking to get published? If so, do you hope to make it a career?

I’d love to be published and make it my career. Writing is honestly my escape and to make the craft that I adore my source of income, that would be a dream come true.

7. What’s something you would read but would never write (or the other way around)? Any reason?

Non-fiction. Fiction is just much more appealing to me because I don’t always have to stick to the facts and can just randomly make stuff up. I feel like that’s something that non-fiction just doesn’t allow.

8. What’s something you are most proud of about your work so far?

That despite all of my struggles with life, I’m still writing. Life still hasn’t beaten me and my dream of becoming an Author is still alive. Also winning Nanowrimo with Darkness within was amazing.

9. Badly describe your WIP(s) in one sentence.

Darkness Within: A group of young adults battles zombies, demons, and other ungodly creatures while trying not to focus on their boners.

10. Why did you want to be a writer?

To bring the joy of stories to others and help them escape their lives just for a little bit. To give them the joy of stories as it was given to me.

Soooo Season Six happened

And the entire Voltron fandom is pretty much in more chaos than ever.

Yes this was the season where I have lost even more interest in the shippings. and feel like even watching it five times won’t give me the answers I need or want - but I feel like some appreciation is needed for this season.

1. Baby Keith/ Kogane Family Can we just take a moment to appreciated how freaking precious those flashbacks were. Like my goodness I could have melted into a pile of goo with how cute it all was.

Also Baby Keith with Baby Mullet confirmed.

2. Texas Kogane Still has no name but is a true MVP. Like who else would see something crash, decide to investigate and rescue AND THEN WOOS THE RESCUED PERSON. Between how Shiro outfit turned out to be originally his, to how he’d named Keith and also saved him from being called ‘Yorak’, he’s just perfect. ‘You need to blow something up? Sure, I’ll help you with that’, ‘You need someone to keep an eye on this gigantic blue kitty - count me in’.

3. Hunk Appreciation The one thing which I loved about the first episode was how to reinforced Hunk’s development. It reinforced how curious about other species, as well as how he can take control of situations when it’s needed.

4. Kuron Unpopular Opinion: Kuron was precious. As a person who had spent months with chronic headache I can respect earlier Kuron for having to cope with those monstrosities. On top of that he didn’t know he was a clone, and while he was a jerk a fair few times in season 5 he was also lost and confused and even admitted it to Lance. Season 6 showed how hard he struggled to keep control, and look how happy he had been in the space DnD episode and how into it he got. Once Haggar had control there would have been no way for Kuron to regain it - which makes that last moment of Kuron even sadder if you ask me.

5. Space DnD Firstly I am freaking happy with my idea of DnD being validated, also I just loved that entire episode cause darn it, it was soft. They were happy round a table and playing as teenagers their ages are supposed to. Coran being like the cool uncle being the dungeon master made it even better.

Also can we all agree that if Keith was there, he’d want to be a rouge?

6. Keith and Space Wolf Can I just say that Keith getting a space wolf as a pet wasn’t as surprising as I thought it would be, it has only amplified his edginess. And my gosh I love it, like that montage of him playing with it was so precious, and also it’s bloody adorable and I need to know it’s name.

7. Krolia is a queen Like firstly the entire flashbacks made me love her as a character even more, I mean that fight scene just reinforces how much of a badass she was and those family scenes emphasized how important family was to her. Secondly how the first time the blast of light happen, how quickly she moved to protect Keith - mama bear right there.

8. Keith kinda reminds me of Zuko more and I love it. I mean he freaking went on a trip where he discovered more of himself and came back with an Altean when everyone thought there was no more, his mother, and a space wolf. That’s so similar to Zuko that is actually pretty funny.

9. Romelle Anyone who isn’t happy with how she turned out to be needs a moment to rethink. The fact that she went against everything that her society taught her, experience that much pain and remained steadfast on her determination is impressive. The fact she went along with everything as the castle fell apart is even more impressive considering how far out of her element she would have been.

10. Lance and his interaction with animals. The fact that he takes care of them is adorable, as well as the fact of how he talks to them.

11. I’m surprised that this wasn’t my first point but... Keith was so beautiful this season Like frick aged up Keith is so darn pretty and that fall scene was so aesthetic that you would friking print and frame it and call it art.

12. Motivator Lance Lemme tell you I could do with a chibi Lance who gives those motivational speeches like the ones he’s given to Keith and Allura these past few seasons.

13. Pidge and Hunk Just how they interact is adorable with their banter. Also their scenes this season was great, between their determination and just the entire part where they’re trying to fix the castle. Between Pidge once more anticipating anything, and Hunk having to swing Coran around, it was tense and great.

14. Black Lion Further confirmation on how even space lions are protective as heck about their cubs or paladins. We had red with the early seasons and now Black ‘Nope you’re not dying on me now mister’ Lion in season six.

There’s probably more but I’d need to watch the season again... which I shall do later.

almost got ‘em all! thanks everyone for asking! answers are below~

1. What age did you begin getting into art? Why did you get into it? hmmmmm im gonna try to answer this as interestingly as i can. so ive been drawing all my life and i think it was just bc a) there was always art supplies lying around and b) i just had so many things in my head and wanted a way to express them or just get them out. like when i played with my toys i was always completely quiet bc i was imagining everything in my head. sound/speech/words just weren’t as interesting to me as a way to put my thoughts out there as visuals were. also i rly liked ranma 1/2 and wanted to draw it.

4. Do you make merchandise? Favorite kind of merch to make? i don’t. i did think about making charms once, even if just for myself. you know, those cute, chibi-esque ones everybody makes? then i remembered i couldn’t draw sth cute if you put a gun to my head.

5. Who/what are your art inspirations? I listed some of my favorite artists the last time i answered questions like this so i guess this time i’ll go with the ‘what’ rather than the ‘who’. to me, the most inspiring thing are atmospheres. it could be a garbage container with 1000 stickers stuck and half-way teared down on it. the way the colors and rips in the stickers look and how it adds to the mood of the location. or sometimes it’s listening to a certain song at a certain time in a certain place that creates a unique mood and inspires you. but looking at art has never been an inspiration. so there’s that.

6. What is something (a technique, behaviorism, etc.) that you do with drawing that you think is unique to you?

ok but in seriousness, i don’t think there’s anything. any uniqueness comes from a lack of skill and knowledge so i don’t think it’s worth mentioning. like what do you even want me to say?? that i edit pictures i drew in clip studio in ms paint?? bc i do.

7. Describe your style. What would you change? neither here nor there. i feel like you can tell i’m a bit scatterbrained bc my drawings always look like they were done without any kind of direction lmao.. in general, i’d like to draw more realistically. i’d like to look at my own drawings and think ‘this pose looks rly natural, the way the clothes fit, the way the face looks, the perspective, the way this character interacts with the environment; it all looks right’. i’d also like to be able to use colors better but it’s hard when you struggle to name more than 3.

8. How do you get out of an art block? well, usually, I don’t. i’m pretty sure i’ve been in one for the past 3 years or so lmao (lamenting my anguish online) but i’ve been told that just working through it is the best way to go. just drawing. even if you hate everything. future you will thank you for it, bc you’ll probably be learning things while doing so, even if you can’t see it at that moment.

9. Does your style reflect who you are visually or your personality? both tbh. if you saw a pic of myself next to a drawing of proto danny you’d definitely see a resemblance in a way. (things like the clothes i draw him in are a given i think. ive probably drawn 90% of my wardrobe at this point) but my personality too. the things i spend more time on while drawing, the colors i choose, the mood in my drawings. that’s all a part of me. im pretty sure my oc tags are fairly accurate documentation of my mood swings and general attitude towards life throughout time lmao also, this thing i summed up in my tags a few years ago

10. What do you find easiest about drawing? getting the ideas for it

What do you find hardest about drawing? actually drawing said ideas. look, the moment i sketch the idea down it’s already 50% worse than i imagined it, then when i go to actually draw the thing it turns into sth so bad that i can’t even come up with a forced joke about the scenario. but anyway, lately the thing that scares me the most about drawing (and why i can hardly do it) is heads. heads heads heads. faces faces faces. i just cant do it man lmao

12. Is art part of your career or a hobby? What is your goal with art in life? my goal is to get a better hobby and to never have to return to drawing ever again. but that’s wishful thinking. i guess it’ll always stay my biggest hobby but i’d consider my life a failure if it ever turned into a career.

13. Advice to give to beginning artists? draw your ideas. never limit your creativity bc you don’t have the skill to express it to its full extent. a crappily drawn picture that conveys a cool idea or creates a cool atmosphere is just as good as an expertly crafted painting that has a lame subject. there’s a reason ppl admire the mona lisa but would rather read 90s manga than stare at that portrait all day. god. i guess motivational speaker is another career that’s out of the question lmao but you get what i mean!!

14. Advice to give to your artist peers?

also don’t take advice from me.

15. What have you drawn recently that you are proud of? ‘recent’ is relative, and so is ‘proud’, but i still rly like how this pic turned out. i just feel like it looks very decided, like i knew what i wanted to do and did it (i didn’t)

Show something you drew in the past you’re still proud of. this pic might just be one of my favorites i’ve ever drawn. it’s still alright art-wise and it’s probably the most from-the-heart thing i’ve drawn so obviously, i have a soft spot for it lmao but i also just found this again and i still love it, even tho it’s ugly. also this bone which, infamously, is my crowning achievement

you know what i find funny rn? that it’s hard for me to decide which pic to choose for this question. i mean i went through my old art and cringed a LOT but there’s so many pics that im rly fond of, now that i’ve gained some distance to them. i wonder if it’ll be like that with the stuff i draw now, too.

19. Share a tutorial or reference that helped you. nothing concrete but i’ll mention ‘blind drawing’ again. it helped me get a different feel for the lines i’m drawing and, theoretically, would have made me better at drawing from life too
