...Ace challenging Riddle for the position of the dorm leader... and for your heart as well. Ace has dreamed of this moment for so long, he just could not hold himself back any longer. Since day one Ace has always had ambitions of being the dorm leader - he had grown tired of Riddle's ridiculous and strict rules. It was time for a fresh new start for Heartslabyul, eh?

But the moment he found out that Riddle had gotten to you, Ace nearly lost it.

He has had his eye on you for as long as he could remember, but as much as it pained to admit it, he could see why you fell for Riddle in the first place. First and foremost, Riddle is one of the strongest mages in the entire school, his grades were top notch, everyone in Heartslabyul respected him and Ace begrudingly admits that Riddle's short stature and short temper could be considered cute to some people...

...he hated it. God he hated this so much, he hated how long he had to wait to execute his plan but deep down he knew that all of his hard work would pay off in the end, that you would choose him. Ace practiced his magic all day, every day, in secret in order to not cause any suspicion. He would always pitcure Riddle's face during his little work outs and if he saw you two kiss earlier that that day... Ace might as well pop a vein or two. He wanted that for himself, he wanted you to be by his side. Just watching the two of you from a distance made Ace feel sick in his stomach. He would always make sure to ruin the momemt by saying things such as "get a room!" or "gross!". The way your cheeks turn red was just so precious to Ace, he couldn't stop himself.

Don't look at anyone else darling, just look at him, your new dorm leader, Ace Trappola. He was going to spoil you rotten - you could bet your life on that. Be prepared however, a slip up could cause Ace to reveal his more nasty side. Dorm leader Ace is mostly lax when it comes to most of the rules, but you? Oh honey, you just jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Icy beads of sweat were rolling over the sides of your face. You could feel every eye in the room peering at you, watching your every movement. There was a faint whispering blowing through the crowd or maybe it was the chubbier ghost mumbling as he read off a decaying book. Either way, the murmurs blew over you causing packs of goosebumps to spring over your skin. This was wrong...all of this was too wrong. A faint dying noise in the background began to amplify. It's screechy, sizzling cacophony rang in your ears causing you to cringe. It took a moment before the buzzing static turned to comprehensible words. 

"You may now kiss the--"

Something sharp wrapped around your arms, digging into your tender flesh, scraping past the skin, and nesting into your muscles. You came to let out a cry of pain. When something equally cold brushed clumsily against your dry lips. It was bloodless and chilly, like icicles drilling into your plump lips. A kiss of death you realized, as you cracked open one eye nervously. You scanned Eliza's pale purple face. Despite her closed eyelids, you could still see how an expression of pure ecstasy was painted over her visage. You could feel your heart speeding up, pounding against your rib cage with an unsteady rhythm. 

Boom, dup dup, dup, dup dup, boom, boom, dup ( I actually looked up the sound a heart makes) 

There was something bitter about the way Eliza pushed her body against yours, something suffocating, like invisible chains that slithered around your neck wrapping all so tightly that no breath dared pass through your mouth. Everything in that dreadful moment felt unstable like the whole world was melting away. One second you were plagued with an endless shiver, the next you where evaporating under a sicking heat. Was it Eliza? Or rather her ghostly presence that was causing this unsteady shift in the atmosphere, was it just your brain playing a trick on you, laughing at your distress as your nerves grilled away?

EVERYTHING WAS WRONG!

When Eliza finally pulled away you felt a tiny wave of serenity wash over you. "Eliza dear" a gritty creaky voice spoke out from somewhere across the room. You didn't dare to attempt to sneak a peek at who it was. Instead, your eyes remained glued on your new "wife". Her smile splitting ever larger as she pulled you close whilst nodding suspiciously.

"Oh, darling" she uttered as she cradled your face in her silk-covered hands. Her thumbs traced invisible trails over your damp skin. "You'll love the realm of the dead! It's all so amicable and intangible. Everything feels so cozy and now with you at my side, we can live out the rest of eternity in our own little homey castle! It's better than any nightmare!" Unlike the other ghosts, Eliza's voice was clear and smooth, smelling of lavenders and the freshness of early summer when she spoke. It was hard to believe that such a lively voice belonged to the princess of the dead. A tragic female fatal that had die eons before your ancestors were born.

The once brightly lighten cafeteria began to fade into black. The once sturdy ground keeping you up cracked under your feet transforming into rubble shards. Each tiny fragment disappeared into the darkness of the dying room. Eliza's arms dropped from your face, slowly running them down to your waist. She hugged you close, burying her unlively face in your chest. The two of you were falling, falling down an endless spiral of darkness. Trapped and bounded together.

In a haze, you didn't notice when your back landed against a sandy solid terrain. Barely feeling the impact, instead, your eyes linger on Eliza who laid atop of you, nuzzling her smiling face deeper.

Gradually you pushed yourself into a sitting position, watching as Eliza followed your gestures straddling your waist and looking at you with such an expression you had never seen before. It was like someone had lifted the earth's weight off her shoulders. Her body was relaxed almost like putty in your hands as you instinctively placed your hands on her hips.

"We're finally together my love! All these years I've searched for you! We'll stay here for the rest of forever. In the land of the dead rotting together as the happiest couple!"

After 500 years of searching the Ghost Bride had finally found her one true love!

The smell of brine and the gentle touch of the sun’s beam make you smile. You had wondered at first why the headmaster wanted everyone to go on sudden a school beach trip, thought it to be suspicious for him to even bring you all here in the guise of an "academic training camp" but the moment you arrived at the resort, all your presumptions washed away at the sight of the seashore. You take a seat near the water’s edge, close enough for the waves to graze your toes, and press your legs into your chest. You stare out into the sea, watching the tides ebb and run. Their undulations a rhythmic consonance that pulls your heart into a similar melody. 

Whatever the headmaster was planning, you supposed that you could forgive him just for the beautiful sight alone.

Post Release Tag Game

~Your twisted tale begins!~

1. You just woke up in a coffin trapped with this talking rat thing that swears he isn’t a tanuki. How do you actually react?

✦ Well that entirely depends on whether I’m aware of the fact I’m in a game or not. If I retain my knowledge of twst then I follow the game path (and accept that I have to live with the talking rat from now on). If this is all completely new to me then I would most likely go with the flow, I’d realise that something completely unnatural has happened and try to adapt to the situation. I’d also interrogate the talking rat thing and try to find out more information

2. Let’s pretend for a second that you’re not at the mercy of a magic mirror and incompetent bird dad, choose which dorm you would like to be a part of. Why, and do you think the mirror would agree?

✦ This is hard… I would choose to be part of Octavinelle, I mean… the visual design of the dorm rocks. Plus they do well in tests, so I could persuade my dormmates to tutor me. The mirror probably wouldn’t agree with me. I’ve taken a couple ‘What Twisted Wonderland dorm are you?’ type quizzes, and I usually get put in Heartslabyul. Maybe I should send someone a dorm sorting request and see what happens?

3. Going back to twst reality, where you don’t have magic and get sentenced to Ramshackle; what is your first thought upon seeing this safety hazard of a building? What’s the first thing you choose to fix there?

✦ My first thought is ‘no’. The first thing I choose to fix is the fact that I live there. Surely I can make a deal with Azul to have a spare room in Octavinelle. He can have Ramshackle in exchange. I know he wants that second location for the lounge

4. In an alternate reality where you don’t immediately get lumped together with Ace and Deuce, who in the school becomes your best friend(s)?

✦ Epel and Rook seem interesting to be around, I don’t know a ton about either of them, but going off of my general idea about the two, I could see myself hanging around them. Epel I’d probably befriend pretty quickly, Rook maybe not so much. Unless being from another world is enough to make up my lack of beauty or interesting qualities. Other characters I could potentially befriend would be Kalim, Jamil, Trey, and Idia

5. Which existing club would you give a shot? Any particular reason why?

✦ Board games club! You guys should’ve seen when I got Risk and nobody wanted to play with me because it was so long… in the board games club they’d have to join me, right? Also I just wanna vibe with Idia and Azul

6. Don’t be shy, we know there’s a certain someone who’s caught your eye! Who are they? How did you meet?

✦ … Jamil. I’d assume we meet through Kalim. I met Kalim, vibed with him and we started hanging out together, and then Jamil came to find Kalim for one reason or another, meeting me in the process or if we’re following the game plot, we’d meet when I was investigating the mysterious injuries surrounding magishift players

7. Which of the events was the most exciting for you?

✦ Ghost marriage. Sitting on the sidelines and watching everyone get slapped would be legendary, and all those outfits? Even better. Of course I’d feel bad for Idia, but that doesn’t really change how amusing the rest of the event would be

8. Ghosts: delightful dorm mates or unholy terrors?

✦ That entirely depends on their reaction to my 2 am singing, they might become nightmare fuel just to get me to shut up for a minute. Otherwise the ghosts are honorary dorm members, who have an obligation to listen to me, their dorm leader I’m officially the mc now

9. Choose a champion (no further context, just pick).

✦ Leona. As long as he’s actually awake/motivated to get up and do champion stuff, I think he’d be well suited... I say, having absolutely no idea what the context for this is. If this whole champion thing requires motivation however, I’d pick Jamil instead

10. Would you rather (a) film a movie with Vil, (b) play a round of magic shift with Leona, or (c) go gargoyle sighting with Malleus?

✦ Film a movie with Vil, the other options aren’t even up for debate

11. Thoughts on fairies?

✦ Cool as hell. Those are not things we have here and that is honestly a shame. I’m kinda interested in all the different types of fairies and what distinguishes them. Like is it just physical differences or do the different fae have special abilities of their own?

12. “Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?” (Choose wisely now)

✦ Vil, I would rather not be poisoned by him for saying otherwise

13. Would you rather (a) keep Azul from eating fried food, (b) be responsible for dragging Idia out from his lair, (c) break a rule with Riddle standing right in front of you, or (d) tell Kalim to his face that Jamil isn’t all that great (not true).

✦ Break a rule with Riddle standing right in front of me. I’m looking forward to him trying to use off with your head on someone with no magic of course he could just beat the shit out of me, but that is a risk I am willing to take

14. You stumble upon Rook stalking another student from inside the bushes. What do you do?

✦ First of all, laugh at him. Then probably join him tbh, depends on who he’s stalking

15. Which homeland (that we know of) would you like to learn more about?

✦ Land of Pyroxene

16. Thoughts on Grimm?

✦ Rat bastard who needs to stop eating overblot rocks. Or if he’s gonna eat them, at least wait until I’ve experimented on them to find out what they are and what they can do

17. If you had magic, what would be your unique magic?

✦ Now this is a hard one. I’d say… an ability that draws attention to or from someone. So the magic could make it so that everyone turns and pays attention to the target, or that everyone ignores them, making them essentially invisible. I don’t have a name for the magic right now because I only just came up with it

18. Favourite ship? 

✦ Marcela x Lilia. Not because I think it’s a good ship, but because if they did get together it would be so chaotic. It’s just for the memes

19. Favourite theory?

✦ Silver being twisted from the sword that kills Maleficent. I don’t know who first came up with the theory, but I’ve seen it mentioned multiple times by different people. I like it ‘cause it’d be an interesting narrative, and hint at a possibility of betrayal. A character twisted from a villain and another character twisted from what killed them, nice

20. The school year is coming to a close, how are you feeling? Any thoughts?

✦ Please tell me I can continue on as a second year. I’m feeling kinda annoyed that I can’t use magic, but seeing everyone overblot, I figure it might be for the best that I can’t

21. “Starlight, star bright, first star I see tonight; I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight.” What do you wish to see from the game in future stories?

✦ Potion shenanigans. Perhaps an event where a dodgy potion resulted in some body swapping or something? Or they pull an Emperor’s New Groove and turn someone into a llama. I think I prefer the llama idea. Please twst give me a llama event

author's notes: this is set after epel and reader graduates from NRC. Also,, i got the idea from harvest moon and town of harvest.... i connected the dots

         Epel wasn't sure if he was making a big mistake. He invited you to his hometown, The Village of Harvest, during the holidays to introduce you to his grandmother. For him, introducing you to his grandmother was a huge step he was willing to take with you. You've been with him long enough for him to consider life changing decisions with you. Taking a huge breath, Epel knocked on the door gently with you by his side.

          Epel's breath hitched as he heard the door unlock it's gears. His hands were sweaty from nervousness, you noticed his state and gently took a hold of his hand, entwining them with yours. His tense face became more relaxed as he gave you a gentle smile, thanking you silently. His grandmother appeared on the other side of the door the same time it was opened. An old woman with grey hair greeted you, 'She has Epel's eyes' you thought, staring at her for a while before bowing quickly, trying to hide your embarrassment. "Epel! I'm glad you're home." His grandmother wrapped her arms around him and gave him a bone-crushing hug. 

          "M-Meemaw! I can't breathe!" Epel struggled free from her iron grip. She realized what she was doing and reluctantly let Epel go. Epel breathed a sigh of relief as he tried to catch his breath. His grandmother offered to let the both of you inside, and you happily obliged. You were nervous to actually talk to his grandmother, what if she doesn't like you? Would she try to separate the two of you? Who knows. All of you sat down by the table out in the garden and were offered tea. (or whatever your preference is)

          "So Epel, do you mind introducing me to the pretty lady ya got here?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows a bit as she let out a heart laugh. The tension you were feeling all along was suddenly replaced with overwhelming relief. Maybe, this could work out. Before you could introduce yourself, Epel went ahead and did it for you. "Ah, She's (Y/N) (L/N). My um, girlfriend." Epel flushed at the last few words. Even after all this time, it was still embarrassing for him. He wasn't used to it.

          His Grandma's grin grew wider. A girlfriend? This is the first time, she knew Epel wouldn't just bring home anybody, so she knew that the girl must be very special to him. Special enough to make Epel think seriously about their future together. Though his grandmother was a bit worried for him. Would he be making a wise decision? Or was he going too fast? Grandma tried to talk to you as much as she could, her questions are often about your relationship with him. What was your relationship like while studying in NRC? After that? How did you manage to stay together despite all the hardships life threw at the both of you? You answered them all patiently, with a gentle smile covering your features, remembering all the memories the two of you shared.

          When it was time for you to leave, his grandmother grabbed you by the wrist gently. Tugging you towards a more private room where Epel can't hear you. She whispered something in your ear that made you as red as a tomato. When you returned to Epel's side, he could only wonder what the two of you talked about.

          "Epel-kun! Could you tell me a bit about your hometown?" You suddenly asked, Epel has caught your attention lately. He seemed like a gentle natured pretty boy from Pomefiore, but you were proven dead wrong. You found him amusing whenever you hung out together and eventually wanted to know more and more about him. 

          "My hometown? Well- I came from the Village of Harvest. Long story short, there are a lotta farms and gardens there. Meemaw- I mean, My grandmother sent me these apples from our farm. Would you like some?" It was cute to see him trying to correct himself with the whole meemaw thing- you found it cute! He handed you a beautifully carved apple, you wondered whose skillful hands made such a masterpiece when you noticed that Epel was holding a small knife.

          "Epel-kun, don't tell me you carved these…!?" Epel's face had a look of confusion as you gave him a shocked look. "Yes…? I did." Reluctantly, he continued carving the apple he was holding. "You're amazing!" Epel almost cut his finger when he heard you say that, "W-Whaddya mean amazing?!" He became as red as the apple he was holding. 

          "It's getting a bit late but I want to show you something before we leave, is it alright?" Epel was right, dusk was falling rapidly. Even if you preferred going home immediately, you wouldn't pass up the chance to spend more time with your lover. You wondered where he was taking you as the both of you stopped by a river with stepping stones. "We're gonna have to use the stepping stones to cross the river, can you do it?" The stones seemed stable enough for you to nod. Epel went first, holding your hand as you followed along. You almost tripped several times, had it not been for Epel clutching your hand tightly, afraid of the possibility that you might fall and injure yourself. 

          After crossing the river successfully, both of you had to walk a bit more- there was no path, you couldn't tell if Epel knew where he was going or the both of you were lost. The more you walked, more flowers kept on appearing. "Epel! Are we there yet?" You were growing excited but at the same time, impatient. You couldn't wait to see what Epel had in store for you. "We're almost there."

          You finally spotted something in the distance, your pace went faster as you went towards it with Epel. It looked like an old rickety door without a look. Moss and vines camouflaged it well, you were lucky you're with Epel or else you wouldn't have noticed it. Epel took hold of the doorknob and turned it, opening the door. 

          You entered through the door and there you saw what seems like a Secret Garden. Flowers and Vines adorned the hedges, in the middle was a small pond with a small stone stool besides it. It was gorgeous. The night sky tinted the hues of the flowers while the pond illuminated the moonlight. "Do you like it?" Epel asked you, a small pink tinting his cheeks. You nodded eagerly and sat down on the stone stool and admired the view further.

          "You wanna know more about my hometown? Well- there isn't anything that interesting about us except for how our marriage proposals work." Epel tried to quench your curiosity with the stories and traditions of his village. "Instead of rings, we use a blue feather to propose. And don't you dare try to think about freaking me out by giving me one!"

          Epel took a deep breath. He pulled out a blue feather and held it tightly with both of his hands. You didn't notice this as you were too mesmerized by the reflection of the moon in the pond but when you did- you forgot to breathe for a moment. Clutching a blue feather under the moonlit night, Epel looked ethereal. You wondered how someone as beautiful as him could exist. You hadn't paid attention to what he was holding, but when you did, your eyes widened. You remembered what his grandmother told you "I bet he'd make you his wife."

          Epel glanced towards you and gave you a beautiful smile. He held out the blue feather towards you and asked you something in a serious tone. "Would you accept someone like me as your husband?"

...Ace never left you alone. Ever since you joined Night Raven College, the red head had made it his mission to make your life even harder then it already was. Upon first meeting him you thought Ace was nice, downright sweet even, but that sweetness turned sour the moment he called you stupid.

And things just continued to go downhil ever since.

No matter where you went Ace was always near and looking behind your shoulder became second nature to you. After all, you didn't want Ace to mess up your food or to smudge said food against your face. He always found your angry face so hilarious as he'd always burst out laughing at your misery, almost shedding tears. He made fun of everything you did, sometimes he tried to play it off as a joke, while other times he was just downright cruel. You began to avoid him like the plague and for a few days, that worked like a charm. You finally could let out a sigh of relief and not worry if Ace was behind you, ready to smack you harshly on the back. You grew to like your new-found solitude abd you even made a few friends along the way. They all welcomed you in their little gang with cheery smiles and open arms so you stayed, naturally. Once Ace caught wind of you finding other friends however, he...

He did not take it well.

He was your friend, why were you wasting your time with these idiots? Wasn't his company good enough for you...?! Although, once he out two and two together a part of him couldn't really blame you for running away like this. He made your life Hell and he took shameless pleasure from that. I was originally for malleus but then Leona came. Only to be replaced definitely by Floyd.

I don’t play twst, i donwloaded it but since it’s in japanese, I wait for the other to translate it while cursing the developer for not making an english version.

I tried drawing Floyd but his expression was so cute that his seem more defensless than he truly are. It’s pissed me because it’s was like giving him a whole new personality.
