A Joker's Rage Announce Debut Album "The Rain Dance"

It has been a long time coming for fans for Northern rock powerhouses A Joker's Rage, but the news fans have been waiting for is finally here! Their debut album, The Rain Dance, will be released this Autumn, specifically on the 25th of October 2019. The news of the release for The Rain Dance follows on from the huge success of the album's first full single Shylock, which is currently doing the rounds at UK rock radio. The Rain Dance is an album that will keep listeners guessing from track-to-track as A Joker's Rage take them on a full blown musical journey. There are nods to classic rock's mighty heyday, full blown modern rock anthems, songs that have pop sensibilities and everything in-between. All the while, A Joker's Rage have managed to create an album that flows brilliantly from start to finish and never once loses the sense of enjoyment and love from those who have assembled it.  The Rain Dance follows on from the band's two previous EP's and the 2018 single Ballet To The Masses - A Joker's Rage's tribute to one of their heroes, Freddie Mercury. Ballet To The Masses has proved to be such an instant fan favourite that it has found its way onto the full tracklisting for the album. 

Anyone who sees A Joker's Rage's photos will quickly notice the face paint - aka the #GAMEFACE. It's something that may seem small to some, but those little things can sometimes make a big difference. To lead vocalist Zakk Taylor, guitarist Adam Gauton, bassist Geordie Ginface and drummer / keyboardist Matt Collinge, #GAMEFACE is the mode in which the band choose to escape reality, channel their alter egos and deliver their message. “It’s our war paint. 1) How old are you? 23

2) What’s your current job? I do research. Basically, I am paid to google and write reports. 

3) What are you talented at? Playing Ginface (or Vodkaface), reading, getting sunburn, reading....

4) What’s a big goal you are working toward? I have three, at the moment, and they’re horrifically mundane. Paying off my holiday, saving for a new car, and hopefully changing position at work. 

5) What’s your aesthetic? Converse, denim jackets, and old jeans. 

6) Do you collect anything? Other than books with pretty covers, no, not really. I try not to collect things that I’m never going to use, because otherwise I just end up with too much useless clutter. 

7) What’s a topic you always talk about? Brexit (LOL), President Fart, books, Shakespeare. 

8) What’s a pet peeve of yours? I have so many, you wouldn’t believe. People who shout in the steam room at the gym, people chewing with their mouths open, people who don’t say please or thank you, mushrooms in food, do you really want me to carry on

9) Good advice to give? Be nice, be kind. It costs literally nothing and it might make someone’s day a little bit better. 

10) What are three songs you recommend? There are so many. I love ‘Folding Stars’ by Biffy Clyro, ‘Fangs’ by Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, and ‘Peggy Sang the Blues’ by Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls. Also shout-out for ‘Daydreamer’ by Adele because that woman is a queen and I’ve been listening to 19 a lot lately.
