I couldn’t remember when he started taking Loki seriously and the answer is: immediately. You can see it in his eyes. Most of Mobius is like, “What a pathetic attempt,” but his eyes are like… well they’re like…

They look exactly how I felt, as a fifteen-year-old at Catholic mass, as I had been every Sunday since I was a baby, as, in the normal course of sitting-standing-kneeling-and-back-again-for-funsies I was struck by the singular question: what if we are doing all this for nothing? We are a churchful of dignified humans singing truly bizarre songs in keys and time signatures that none of us have business in. We’re telling stories about guys named Bildad and trying to brand ourselves The #1 Christian. It consumes us. It’s started wars and gotten people eaten, burned alive, murdered, and it’s what I’d built my life around. It’s what my parents had demanded I build my life around. And… what if… what if it’s all a lie?

I’ll tell you: you shut that thought down and you fight it for a while, until you get tired, or you hear a take so real it knocks out the south wall of your faith before you can say, “save me a wafer!” But you’ve heard the singular doubt, and it will not be unheard. The glue that holds so much of your world together will weaken, and start to snap. You start to feel it’s you against the rest of the world no matter what, and you’re coursing with the feeling of being alive and knowing a truth.

I’ll tell you what else: the person who tipped you off? Who knows the truth and guides you through it? You’re gonna have incredible sex, such that rocks the foundations of Midgard or wherever you happen to be, because finding out you’re wrong and someone else is right is sexy.

Okay I need to share this lil AU I made before I just implode

Drayton is a hisuian zorua! He got isekai’d from hisui when Ingo/PLA protag managed to find a way back to present time! He landed in Unova along w/ Ingo but Drayton landed near opelucid city and was found by his soon to be parents! He was injured when they found him and he certainly didn’t trust them as ppl in hisui never treated him well (his zoroark parents were killed :( ) so they had a bit of trouble nursing him back to health until Drayden made a visit bc his son made a phone call about a weird zoura that was injured

Once Drayton saw Drayden he was literally just pikachu surprised face with stary eyes bc he thought Dreyden looked so cool!!!! So he begrudgingly allows his parents to nurse him back to health but he also sticks to Drayden like glue so he was nicknamed Drayton :)

Once he’s healed up he started causing mischief like zoura tend to do! Although he’s grown to like his parents along side Drayden now! One day he shifted to look like a human child similar to Drayden and Drayden’s son just to cause a bit of mischief and eventually he just starts spending a lot of time in his human form as he finds out being a human is fun!!! Like really fun!! Eventually one day his parents kinda just sit him down and ask him if he would like to be a human bc they notice he stays in that form a lot and become their son (they cannot have biological kids bc fertility issues so I imagine Iris is also adopted!) so he becomes their son and the nickname Drayton becomes his official name!!! Although he still shifts back to a zoura sometimes at home or in private!

I think iris was away training or something when Drayton first arrived and her parents just called her saying they adopted another kid but once she comes back home she’s told the full truth about her new baby bro and let me tell you, THEY HIT IT OFF INSTANTLY!!!!! Vibing together as dragon sibs!!!

Eventually Drayton becomes a trainer which is a little weird at first but all of his pkmn joined him willingly as they wanted to get stronger! Plus having a trainer who’s a Pokemon makes it easier for him to understand their needs and wants! He also enrolls into blueberry Academy for the fun of it as he wants to learn a lot about being human! He absolutely THRIVES in the polar biome as it reminds him of Alabaster Icelands!

No one but his family know he’s a zoura so making friends is a little challenging at first bc his first friend knew he was a zoura and now he’s keeping that part of himself hidden but eventually he meets the rest of the E4 and they all click quite well together!!!

Jeebus this ask is probably pretty long oops and I didn’t even talk about how’d Drayton would be when opelucid froze over, that’ll probably be its own ask lol~Drayton angst anon💛

Cute how he looks up to Drayden so much he wanted to look like a younger version of him hahaha

But also imagine tho if he and N interacts too, like N immediately knows Drayton is a Zorua, bc he thought it was his own Zorua. Imagine N and Iris arguing bc of that tho, N saying how hypocritical it is for Drayton, a Zorua, to disguise himself as a human, to "capture" his fellow pokemon. Ofc, Drayton was quite young during that, he was scared of N, but Iris was there defending him that N has a lot of nerve saying that, considering that he himself has captured pokemon too. N said those pokemon are his friends, Iris shot back how Drayton's pokemon are also his friends, he didn't capture them, they joined him willingly

It'd be cool to see if Iris and N have some sort of beef over that tho, bc ofc, N was kinda misguided at the start of the story, while Iris is rather protective of her brother. Even after things settled down and N tried to atone for his misdeeds, and while Drayton was starting to be comfortable w him, w N even leaving his own Zorua for Drayton, he and Iris still don't see eye to eye

But y'know as a mischievous Zorua, would he even be a slacker in this au? Imagine him turning to a Slakoth sometimes too that'd be cute hahah

Unova E4 ship headcanons!!

Okay so I love all of these dorks and I love pairing them together (even in a polycule) so I compiled some of my headcanons, with the pairings listed in order of preference. Feel free to use on your fics or art or whatever

GRIMSLEY/SHAUNTAL (OTP) -Weirdos; they are a bit too intense for their own good -Expensive restaurant dates, almost exclusively at night -Grims is always looking for ways to make Shauntal blush -She teases back but that only entices him further -But when they join together to fuck with other people they're invincible -She got him into her nerdy board games, he's too proud to admit he likes them -He loves beta-reading her novels -When making out, she always tries to mess up his hair in hopes he'll get a better haircut -Yes they are kinky, more than any other pairing in here, and Grimsley usually takes the lead

SHAUNTAL/CAITLIN -Caitlin is clingy and Shauntal lets her; she loves having her follow her like a puppy -Shauntal likes to tease Cait about being inexperienced with romance -Darach and Shauntal love to talk about Cait in ways that utterly embarrass the poor girl -Coffee dates; Shauntal needs the caffeine and Cait needs to quench her sweet tooth -Shauntal is exceptional at calming Cait down wheneve her psychic powers flare up -They love swapping outfits and trying out the other's style -Shauntal reads her short stories to Cait aloud -Caitlin's general naiveté brings Shauntal's dommy side in the bed -Still, they like to switch a lot

GRIMSLEY/CAITLIN -"M'lady," "m'lord" -They bicker about trivial stuff in a way that makes you want to scream "get a room already!" -Very extra, even when they aren't trying -They shop around expensive clothing stores and give (sometimes too) honest opinions about the other's outfits -Outdoor chess games! (she cheats at card games so it's all they can do) -They're the most coordinated out of everyone here when doing double battles -Grimsley is a service top to Cait's pillow princess -Though she also likes to dom after he's been particularly annoying

MARSHALL/GRIMSLEY -You'd never guess they're dating until Grims starts acting clingy -Marshall is bad at picking up sarcasm and flirting, and Grimsley loves to fuck with him -Sometimes Grims goes to the gym with him just to watch him and ocassionally go "that's my boyfriend" -Marshall is awkward at formal dates, so Grimsley just takes him to clubs to get shots and fool around -Grims taught him traditional card games and Marshall got too good at them, too quickly -The second Marshall shows any kind of physical dominance, Grims instantly melts -So Marshall obviously tops most of the time; Grims is just that bad at talking back to stronger men

CAITLIN/MARSHALL -These two are stuck together with glue -He used to treat her like she was going to shatter at any moment, but is now way more comfortable around her -They do focus training together so she gets even better at controlling her powers -He's very patient and understanding of her psychic issues, and is very proud of her ability to keep them in check -They love to travel together! -Cait takes the lead in bed, but they usually switch roles pretty quickly

SHAUNTAL/MARSHALL -She's the quirky counterpart to his stoic, awkward self -Shauntal loves recommending him audiobooks to listen to while he trains -She's too good with words for him, who usually gets flustered whenever she snarks at him -Marshall likes picking her up, and she admits it's not much different to flying on Golurk -Their dates often consist of long strolls across Victory Road and other places across Unova -Marshall is pretty vanilla, so Shauntal gets to have a fun time showing him kinky stuff
