Calling all artists for a new fundraiser project!
From the team that brought you @ofmdcraftfair... it's time for You Wrote Me A Lovely Postcard!
We're looking for folks to make 5x7" postcard art to raise money for The Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights.
We have two themes and you can do one, the other, or both:
FANART VERSION: "Another World/Time". Grab a template and send your fave OFMD characters to another place, real or not, as long as it's not in the here and now. Alien worlds, an 1800s train, Middle Earth, you decide—let's get weird with it!
NON-FANART VERSION: Home! Whether it’s a childhood home or landscape or the place where you most feel like yourself, we want to see it. Draw us a physical location that makes you feel safe, supported, and loved.
DETAILS BELOW THE CUT!
Deadline to join: August 1.
FIRM completed art deadline: August 20.
Fundraiser starts end of August!
300dpi, CMYK, no photos or AI. (template on bsky)
We welcome traditional work in flat mediums as well as flat-ish mediums such as embroidery or collage that may contain elements better captured with digital photography as opposed to scanning, just as long as the final file meets the minimum size and quality requirements for printing. (No traditional photography for this project)
Finished postcards will be printed and available through a 32auctions sale, all donations going to TYC!
Interested in contributing art? Email us at ywmlp.ofmd at gmail! We'll send you a link to the project discord (and update you via email as well—joining the discord isn't required!)
We can't wait to see what you make!

so much of the ~discourse~ around generative ai vis a vis writing emails (predictive text has existed in gmail and other programs for years) or cover letters (there are ten billion fillable cover letter templates online) or highschool essays (students have been getting other people to write essays for them since the dawn of time) does just boil down to the same trite "you cannot take the easy way out because if you've done that and succeeded, that might mean all the tedious, annoying shit I've hated doing was actually just a waste of time instead of divine challenges to prove I'm worthy of (job, higher education, piece of paper saying you did good in school, ect)."

EXQUISITE CORPSE ZINE OPEN CALL
Once assembled a small random number of these I will cut, fold, and hand out for free and for trade at the Portland Zine Symposium. Everything will be posted online so anyone can view them or print them out. You're also welcome to make your own using the template provided. I also included cut and margin lines just in case :) !
Instructions: save a rectangle from the above, draw all the way to the marks on the edge (no color), and send it to me rapidpunches at gmail with the subject line Exquisite Corpse Zine! Or I guess you can post it in a reblog while tagging # and mentioning @ me! Also please make sure your alias, website or social address is in it (wherever it fits just away from the outer edge).

End of 007 Fest Reminders
As August sweeps across the globe, we’ll have to say goodbye to this amazing month of creation. Here’s how.
Create a masterlist of your 007 Fest fancreations. It’s great for self promotion and it's a fun way to celebrate yourself! Brag about crossing the 007 Fest finish line and reflect on your successes; you’ve earned it! (Confused on what a masterpost looks like? Check out our suggested template!)
Fill out the Fest Wrap-Up Survey. This is how we collect your masterposts and how we find out what you liked and didn't liked. We redesigned Fest based on the feedback from previous surveys, and so this year it is even more important that you let us know how it went. It is also the way to be entered into the prize drawing. You will have until August 7th to fill out the survey!
(The google form is a little long this year, but it should autosave.)
Post your works to the 007 Fest AO3 collection. This way everyone can find and support your fancreations!
Finally, if you’ve filled any anon prompts, make sure to go back to the prompt exchange and add links to your prompt fills.
We hope you’ve had a fantastic 007 Fest! If you have any questions, just send an ask or email the Cafe (mi6cafemod [at] gmail [dot] com)

Anti-Sisyphus: A Reflection after being rejected from a PhD Program at DTU
I have been trying to get back to writing, for non-academic purposes, again. And after my latest PhD application rejection, I figure, this might be the best opportunity for me to start writing non-academic analytic essays again.
I got rejected by the Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU) for a PhD program under their Department of Technology, Management, and Economics. The PhD program is also under the EU MOVEO project, a project which tries to conduct research on the inclusivity of transport in the EU. This rejection hits quite differently than the others - hence why I'm writing on my Tumblr page again. This is the tenth PhD application rejection I got, so far in the span of less than a year since my master's graduation ceremony. I had felt differently and more optimistically about this PhD application and program because the program is directly about STS, the field which tries to use social studies perspectives on the social of the natural sciences, a field which I'm madly interested in, and have extensive knowledge about and experience in. I really took time in making the reflective essay used for the application. I have the relevant experience of conducting STS research, which I think would actually be my competitive advantage compared to the other applicants, considering that not a lot of STS research has been done. I have quite a clear understanding of what I will do with the research if I had gotten accepted to the program - something which I don't always have about the PhD programs I applied to.
The rejection email arrived yesterday, on Saturday, at 2-ish PM, my time, or 9-is AM Danish time. I did not get a notification for the email at first. I just realized about the email when I opened the Gmail application several minutes after it had arrived. I was on the train back to my parents' place, and I did not want to ruin my mood during the trip, so I decided to open it after I got home and with my friends, Lars and Leo, being at least virtually present as I opened it. Several times during the trip, I clicked on the email again and again, and I had to restrain myself from reading the email; I couldn't understand the first part of the email anyway, as it's written in Danish. When I arrived at my parents' place, I became more and more anxious about what's inside the email.
In all my past applications, I have only managed to get into a further selection stage for one application, for the Cawthron Institute Scholarship at the Victoria University of Wellington's Geography/Environmental Studies PhD program. When I got the email about the first stage result of that scholarship, I was about to run at 6-ish AM my time, as New Zealand is several hours ahead of me. When I did my morning 24-minute running routine that day, I was already telling myself to brace for the bad news of being rejected by the scholarship team. I was at peace with that apocalyptic prediction about the email. I felt good about not having to worry about what that email entailed, what it could mean for me. I felt this sense of peace. When I got back to my place, I pushed the activity slot of opening that email quite back in the queue as I did not really need to read about being rejected and some templatic, fake, consolation message about the rejection and their attempt to rescucitate my motivation to apply to some other PhD applicaitons out there. I finally got to opening the email, I think it was already during brunch time. Then, there it was in the email, I got into the next stage of the selection process for the scholarship. I was so surprised. I really did not think that I could get it.
Now, that is sort of the go-to sign I'm looking for whenever I'm about to open a reply to my PhD applications: "Am I feeling at peace before opening the email?" When I eventually got rejected from that scholarship at the last selection stage, I wasn't feeling the same peace feeling after seeing the reply email in my inbox. The false belief then became reinforced so strongly in my head that I forced myself not to be giddy or to feel that fervently in any way whenever I received a reply. I suppose that it doesn't work since, even though I made myself feel "peace", I still got rejected again and again. I also did not have that feeling when I eventually lied down last night in my bed and opened the email. Underneath the Danish text, the English text plainly said that I got rejected, without any explanations of why, just rejection. Another reason why this rejection hurts quite deeply is that I don't have many other PhD applications on rotation - something which made me question my "suitability" in academia.
This whole ordeal, PhD applications, has been like an anti-Sisyphus activity for me. As Sisyphus was condemned to roll up a huge boulder up a hill only for it to roll down and Sisyphus to roll it back up, I, on the other hand, feel like I have to plunge myself further and further into this unknown, dark, and consuming abyss. Just like a blackhole, this abyss, which I'm falling further and further seems to also "take", "absorb", every mass, or in my case, spirit and confidence, away from me. I find the abyss analogy apt as all but one of the application processes I applied to did not leave any meaningful feedback about what made me get rejected from the application, and hence, I feel like I'm pouring all of this energy and effort just for some unexplained "black box"-effectuated hands to beat me up again and again as I'm diving deeper and deeper into the abyss.
I know that I have been saying to myself that I might not fit in academia every time I got rejected for a PhD program. However, this time, this rejection feels very different; it feels like it knocks down the last worth pillar I have about my sense of belonging in the academic world.
I know it's about the journey. I know it's about giving yourself hope in times of darkness. It just hurts. It really hurts to be rejected by fellow STS researchers.
I used to feel angry, pissed off at the PhD process which rejected me. Now, I'm just tired. I'm thinking that maybe I have to find other routes from fleeing this country.
On the other hand, when I looked back ever since that second rejection by Cawthron Institute, a lot of things have changed. Back then, I never really thought that I could ever take my PhD abroad. Now, I know that I can - even though I still question the time frame of when it will happen. I know which universities have funded PhD programs. I still have four other PhD applications ahead of me, one of which I have a good feeling and interest in.
The abyss might not have beaten me in taking all of my mass away from me, but it sure is depleting. And as I only try to gauge the things ahead of me, I become even more depressed about where I am. I know I have come a long way. I now have a tool belt, which I think can get me out of the abyss and land on a good PhD program. But it sure sucks to be falling this deep, this far, and without a light to guide me.

Hey, I love your stories. I'm trying to write my own SMAU, formula 1 x Glen Powell inspired, and I was wondering two things one is where do you do your visuals like the text and post, and second do you have any advice for me please
hey angel!! i'm soso happy you enjoy them!
i get how weird it can all seem at first bc i was soso confused at first-
playin' the players is my first SMAU (so it might not be perfect) but this is all i use!
regarding apps i use MEMI for chats (private/gc), TwiNote for twitter and PhotoNote for instagram. (tho sometimes i use a 'template' i created on canva for the ig stories, as seen on topper and johnb's storie on chapter ten / halloween night - you can screenshot the template and erase the background using remove bg).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
in the other hand, for things such as gmails (as shown on ptp chapter twelve) or tiktoks (also cpter twelve) (or even text messages from ruthless - for example chapter 3) i use the prankshit website— they have SMS/calls/emails, social media (i've even seen snapchat!). its a great alternative if you dont want to download any apps to create your smau's, but keep in mind it won't save the info if you close the tab!
something that's also important is to add dividers if you're adding text (mostly so readers won't keep scrolling and spoil themselves without knowing it! i create my dividers choosing pinterest pics / bows or whatever and erasing the background with remove bg).
and as advice i would say enjoy the process- have fun, unleash your creativity and trust your ideas! something that helps me a lot is brainstorming (i always keep a small notebook on me and i write my ideas— chapter titles even if i still don't know what chapter will it be, an idea / scene i want to add even if i still dont know where im gonna put it, random dialogues... in conclusion, brainstorm whenever inspo hits).
but mostly trust your gut and go with the flow!
hope you enjoy creating your SMAU!! 💗💗💗

Pssst! You! Yeah you! Do you want an OC or just a straight up Cameo in my webcomic?
Well look no further! Because we’re doing BLIMPS AWAY!!AIRSHIP SERVICES OC AND READER CAMEOS!!!
So essentially this idea came to me when I decided that I didn’t want to make up a gazillian designs for backround characters, and figured, Hey! It’s a good cameo opportunity!!
More information under the cut!
So essentially here’s what I do; I’ll section it into parts.
OC CAMEOS
OC cameos will go on the Blimps Away!!Walls of shame!! In the form of BANNED posters! Your OC gets LITERALLY BANNED FROM A FICTIONAL AIRSHIP AND AIRBUSSING COMPANY!!
Now, some guidelines.
So due to the nature of the lore, I ask for human Oc’s or Oc’s that look like only! You should submit the OC to me through one of the previous contacts I listed!
You should provide:
-A refrence photo of your little guy (Include colour swatches please!!)
-A name for them in case I have to zoom in on the BA!!AS wall of shame
-And (optional) why they got banned!!
If I do add your OC to a future panel of the comic, I will do my very best to reply and let you know!! NOTE THAT ALL OCS SHOULD BE SFW!!
READER CAMEOS
These ones are VERRRY similar to OC cameos! However, you, the reader, would appear in a crowd scene! Some people might even get a one off line! That bits only a maybe though.
Anyways! For this, in place of an oc reference sheet, I ask for one of the below methods in submitting your very own cameo:
NOTE - My one rule is that your cameo character MUST be a human or at least look like a human!!Again, same reason as I ask for OC’s to look like humans, it’s lore reasons! I also ask for colour swatches if you submit a reference drawing!
NOTE AGAIN - ALL REFERENCES SHOULD BE SFW!! NOT PUTTING THIS HERE BECAUSE I DONT TRUST YOU GUYS!! IM PUTTING THIS HERE BECAUSE ITS THE INTERNET!!
- A drawing of yourself! You can draw yourself as you wan to be shown and submit it to me!
-Your sona! How you draw yourself! I just ask for a refrence picture!
-If you have another way you’d like to submit a Reader Cameo, please contact me through discord or my gmail!
HOW TO SUBMIT AN OC OR READER CAMEO
The moment we’ve all been waiting for!! How to submit your OC or Reader cameo!
Here’s how it works, you contact me through either my Tumblr, the official BA!!AS Tumblr @blimpsawayairshipservicesoffici , my Discord (which can be found by joining the BA!!AS discord, or if you’re in another server with me!!) or at the official BA!!AS gmail which is: [email protected] !!
But if I’m being honest, I DO prefer the email or my discord!! They’re the easiest to use!!
Photo explanations and examples!
For the people who may want a sneak peak into my OFFICIAL BLIMPS AWAY ARTBOOK!! Excuse my messy handwriting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Reader cameo featured in these photos is of my best friend Ash, AKA, @jekyll-everything !!
And for reading this far, here’s a goodie bag!!
If you want to see any human or non human oc of yours, or even yourself banned from Blimps Away!!Airship Services, signed by the owner of the company Mack Song himself! This is the template for you!

Hahaha. Or baka lack of confidence. Ginamit ko na lang 'yung generic pad na nabili ko online. In fairness, 1 day lang, nareceive ko na agad. Hindi naman masyado tinignan ng person sa botika A at botika B 'yung detalye.

All MTH 2024 connection emails have been sent!
Everyone, all creator–winner emails have been sent, so if you donated and are still waiting on a connection email:
check that the inbox you’re looking at is the one for the email address you used to create a bidder account on the MTH site
check your spam
check “Promotions” and “Social” (if you use gmail) and/or other categories/labels/folders
whitelist [email protected] just in case
If you can’t find your connection email, please email [email protected] to let us know. We’ll connect you as soon as we can!
Creators, if you offered a second winner slot and haven’t received a connection email for it, the bidder wasn't able to take up your offer. Hopefully that doesn’t come as too much of a disappointment; they most likely reallocated their funds once they were outbid. It’s not a reflection on you/your auction or their interest!
If you haven’t touched base with your creator/winner yet, we encourage you to do so when you have the time, but equally, give yourself (and each other) grace as you navigate these emotionally turbulent days. Remember to check out our email templates and tips on contacting creators and read the info in our email if you’re not sure how to get started.
Lastly, a reminder that if you wish and are able to, we'll happily and gratefully include any extra donations in our total until November 7, 12 PM ET. You can email your donation receipts to [email protected].

this is a little out of nowhere but do you know if there are any primers for running a fic exchange? I saw you mentioned bring back a caps exchange like a month ago (which would be so cool). it kind of inspired me with another fandom, but I can't find any good guides and was hoping you might have some recs.
(Sorry for the long delay in reply. Clearly when I say I will get to something in a day or so, I-- uh, will not. Life's been a lot. Very sorry!)
With the proviso that @weaglerock did most of the actual hard work of the ALLCAPS Exchange and my role was mainly to make shitty promo manips (actually I still like this one) and nag people to turn stuff in and occasionally pinch hit--
Honestly, AO3 actually has some of the best resources for you, if you're planning to be like most exchanges and run your exchange through/post there. They've put together FAQs and tutorials and I think they're pretty straightforward and easy to understand.
Tutorial: Running a Gift Exchange on AO3
Archive FAQ: Gift Exchange
Challenges tutorial: creating and running a gift exchange
Signing up for a gift exchange
Reddit is also handy, and I've found a number of their posts with good advice: here, here (more from the user POV rather than the runner POV but good to think about, and this post were ones I referred to.
General advice:
I find if you have a random question and you can't figure out how to make shit work with AO3 or something, Fail Fandom Anon is a decent way to ask for help. Every post has a thread related to various Bangs/Exchanges going on, and you can post an anonymous request or question. Quality and quantity of response can vary based on when you post it (if the post is almost at comment limit and about to move to the next, you might not get much; just try again with a newly opened post), but usually someone will respond.
Most of the exchanges I've helped with were done before discord got huge, so I haven't utilized it as an organizer as much, but I've been in exchanges as an author where it originated from a fandom discord, and it did streamline communication to have a dedicated channel/discord for the participants. But mostly we used tumblr, gmail, and a googledoc for notifications and tracking.
Always assume some people are simply going to dip, for legitimate or other reasons. Shit will happen. It's super frustrating to delay opening an exchange because you're scrambling to make sure everyone gets something and that it's of decent quality so I'd advise definitely lining up multiple pinch hitters (and assume some of THEM will also bolt randomly) in advance, or be ready to do it yourself, or build in an extra time period of complete works being due before going live, or optimally, all of those things. Having more than one organizer/moderator is helpful!
Highly encourage people to include detailed author letters to accompany their requests. Have regular timeline check ins and reminders. Also, it's easiest to assume everyone's a newbie and err on the side of over-explaining. Have templates and formatted examples on hand for transparency; this includes examples of how you want people to make their requests and examples of an author letter.
Anyway, honestly my best piece of advice is to find a moderator who's already done this before and is good at all of it and will do most of it, and then just act like you've always been there and tag along for the glory. It worked marvelously for me. (But no, really, in the end I think the best bet for success is go back to an exchange from any fandom you enjoyed and felt was well run, look at their set-up/timelines/rules/verbiage, and then model after that accordingly. Obviously don't copy everything directly, or if you do, credit the those organizers.)
And, like, have fun.

I'm so fucking devastated and there's absolutely nothing I can do to get back what I lost.
I use canva pro on my senior high school email cause it's for free.
They told us that after graduating shs, we have two years extra with it.
The expiration was last year... it didn't come. I went "oh my gosh!! maybe there's no gmail expiration!! i'll have my canva pro foreverrrrr~"
I got too complacent. I backed-up NONE of my projects.
They did an auto delete on ALL of us today. There was no one week warning. Nothing.
I don't know about the others but I lost. So. Fucking. Much.
I'm can't draw, I'm really more of a writer. But i LOVE to edit. I love making visual stuff. Putting things together, placing pictures and elements and playing with colors and font styles.
I lost a total of two AND a half years worth of stuff. A mix of stuff for uni, things i made for my parents, and most of all my personal projects.
Tons of presentations for classes (this goes back on grade 11 too,,,,, oh the memories)
Literally so much assignments?! Posters, presentations, AND EVEN MY FUCKING RÉSUMÉ
Moodboards on dozens of OCs (Layla and Dominic for Invincible, Devina for Elden Ring, Medina "DeeDee" for Trese, like 5 of my DnD PCs, Octavia and Marie for Nevermore, Lorena "Lorrie" for TOH complete WITH A WHOLE NEW SCHOOL I CALL MOONVEIL ACADEMY IT HAD A CURRICULUM AND CLUBS AND PRINCIPAL OC TECHNICALLY TOO)
Moodboard on the characters for my book (I got references for appearances AND outfits)
Presentations and notes on my ship AUs (mostly jaystephroy in the fashion industry, DnD style medieval fantasy, and this one 2004 movie with gerard butler)
Presentations and notes on my winx club reboot (so, so, soooo much fashion notes and references for the winx AND trix)
Presentations for silly fandom stuff that I was really excited to show to my friends and post here (potential of jaysteph as a ship, dilf ranking in invincible for that one anon, a very descriptive "what's in the bags" of cott seven, other rarepair ppts to get my friends to ship em GAH)
DnD templates for this campaign with my jhs friends (I had stuff printed out for my bard's SPELLBOOK and we could use so much of those edits for notes and extra character lore)
Personal stuff I made for myself (like that magazine style in landscape form about my life updates, a little modeling stuff I did to compile clothes inspo for winx club, this REALLY colorful and cute collages for my wallpapers)
Personal stuff I made for my friends (a couple of memes, birthday stuff, this really cute and sweet virtual scrapbook for "meet the members" with my college friend group)
TONS of invincible characters icon edits (they've been in there FOR MONTHS, the requests oh i am so sorry moots and anons)
A couple stuff i made for my mom and dad (they got to use them all so they're not wasted)
I'm just,,,,,, so sad I didn't get to back them up. I only posted some of them and sent even fewer wips to a few friends.
Honestly I think the biggest tragedy here for me is that I won't ever be able to recreate them. A lot of the texts and descriptions I made were written there DIRECTLY. I had lore. I had dialogue. I had details and stats.
Two and a half years of editing personal projects and assignments. Just. Gone.
There's absolutely nothing I can do to get any of them back. Now all I can do is grieve and hope that I can recreate them.

Deadline: April 1st, 2024 Payment: Royalties Theme: Speculative Fiction about Tarot Tarot cards have long been looked upon as a window to the past and future of human existence. Fortune tellers of old have utilized the power within the cards to advise or warn away inquisitive souls from the potential folly of their choices. What happens when the power of the cards escapes into the realm of humanity with the desire to play out their core intentions on the unsuspecting? A mortal once controlled the power of the past, present, and future. In his innocent desire for companionship, he made a mistake: he got too close to his creation and lost control. The foolish mortal’s artistic magic escaped the confines of the cards and trapped their maker to pursue their magical intent. Walking carnations of the major arcana of the tarot are free to roam and manipulate the mortal world without the constraints of their maker, who has been recreated as The Fool. The Magician, the first excommunicated card, will do anything to free his friend from the confines of art. But can he convince the others to put aside their petty urges and use their magic to help, even if it puts their livelihood at risk? Or have the cards become too accustomed to life in the modern world to allow anything, or anyone, to send them back to a one-dimensional life? The tarot is the only magic left in the mortal world, and they’ve had their way with it for a long time… We’re looking for new, previously unpublished stories that take us on an adventure and leave us wanting more. It will be immediately deleted or tossed into the recycle bin. (i.e. torture porn). Discrimination: Again, whether racial, religious, social, etc., when used properly as a plot device can become a powerful tool in the authors arsenal, but should in no way become the focus of the story unless you’re writing something along the lines of “Schindler’s List”, “To Kill a Mockingbird” or “Uncle Tom’s Cabin”. And we do understand that to be perfectly accurate, period pieces will contain such things because historically, that is what happened. It’s sad, but it’s the truth. Message Fiction: While we understand that everyone has their own stance on a myriad of subjects that can become very emotional and heated, we will not publish message fiction. Message fiction is defined as: Fiction that attempts to convey a sociopolitical message, as opposed to mere escapism. That being said, message fiction can crop up from many different topics.
The cut and dry of it. If it doesn’t add to the story, don’t do it. If the story itself is a platform for you as the author to get up on your soapbox, then don’t bother submiting the piece, because we don’t want it. Special Note: RPG and game-based stories: We do accept these types of stories; however, your submission may not violate any game’s copy written, or trademarked, content. (refer back to the line above on fan fiction. We do not want it and will not accept it.). As an example, you might have a character running around in one of the popular online multiplayer games. You might want to write a story about your character’s adventures. That, in itself, is fine. Do not mention characters, creatures or the game world itself. Rename them to something of your own creation. We do understand that the muse may strike at any time and that ideas can come from anywhere. So please, before submitting, ensure that what you have submitted will not violate any copyright or trademark laws. Reprints/previously published: We accept previously published works as long as you have the rights and can provide proof (if necessary). Other than that, we really want to see what you have. Payment rates: To be determined at the time of the contract and will be in the range of 50-70% of sales, and competitive with other publishing houses. The hard and fast rules of Submissions: If sending a Query letter, include a full synopsis of the story, the first three chapters as a writing sample and links to your social media pages. Response time may vary. Expect a reply within 9-18 months. We would prefer to see complete manuscripts that have already been somewhat edited by the author. Note: A contract offer will not be made based on a Query alone unless the work is of exceptional quality. Offers, in general, will only be made on completed works. Your submission must include your (Legal) name and your (Publication) name if using one, email address*, postal mailing address, and telephone number on both your cover letter and the first page of the manuscript. Include a plot outline if possible. *Also include links to all of your social media pages Spelling and grammar checkers are great, but they are not foolproof. Review your work for flow and content prior to submitting it. Minimal formatting, please! Indent paragraphs; single or double-spaced text is fine, though we prefer to use 1.15 spacing, with no extra lines between paragraphs; center chapter headers and scene break indicators (###, ***, etc.); use page breaks only at the end of chapters. For emphasis, choose either underline or italics and use it consistently throughout. Use straight quotes and apostrophes, … ., –, etc, no special characters, please! Times Roman 12pt is highly preferred. Make it readable, or we won’t read it. It’s that simple. If something specific requires special formatting then explain it in a cover letter. Please download our standards template by clicking here. Electronic Submissions: Neither disks or thumb drives will be reviewed, so do not send them unless requested. Our preferred method is by electronic submission, but we will accept a printed hardcopy. Attach the manuscript as a Rich Text Format (.rtf) file. Any other format will not be considered. Send the manuscript as a single file (do not break it into separate chapter files), so any synopsis and contact info needs to be in the file with your manuscript. NOTE: Any viruses attached to your submission will send your manuscript straight into file-13. (For non-military members, that means the trash can.) Hardcopy Submissions: (for those who cannot submit electronically) Standard manuscript format only: double-spaced, one side of the page only, 1/2″ (i.e., 0.5″) margins on all four sides of the page. We will consider photocopies if they are dark and clear. Title, author (last name only is okay), and page number at the top of each page are mandatory. Include your name, mailing address, and telephone number on the first page.
Hardcopy manuscripts identified as “disposable” will be recycled. Disposable submissions should be accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped, letter-sized envelope for our reply (please ensure proper postage has been supplied!). Manuscripts intended to be returned should be accompanied by self-addressed packaging and sufficient postage. We will not be responsible for any manuscripts lost or damaged in the mail. Return packages will not be insured, tracked or otherwise paid for by Three Ravens Publishing. Via: Three Ravens Publishing.
