Sam didn't have a laptop. The laptop we see in s1? That's Dean's. In the event that Sam did have a laptop that thing was melted in the fire, but in 2005 it was perfectly normal for a college student to not have a laptop. Even at a private college. It was considered a bit weird to take notes on your laptop in those days.

At no point is the laptop said to be Sam's. We just see Sam using it because doing research made him happy.

The story’s unique layers and themes of duality inspired me to create a soundtrack that reflects this contrast: each theme of the album has two versions; “Modern” and “Legacy”. On one hand, new or "Modern" tracks are all about the exciting influences from electronic music that bring a unique atmosphere to the series. They are full of complexity and energy, but still bringing something new to the table.. How did you make the sound effects for reborn?

it's less a matter of making and more of finding.

most of the pokemon-specific ones are from a sound repository offered back in the day by PMU. others are ripped from the game. others still i find online from resources like free-sound or pixabay as we need them.

but i don't recommend using sound files wholesale. even a very little bit of audio editing can go a long way to making them feel more unique and suited to a given purpose. Audacity is a good free sound editor; I use a different one called GoldWave because i'm quirked up. basic functions like cut, volume fade, and pitch and time change can go far. just a little dressing for your salad, ya feel?

You are lmao. And the best part is it's not exactly nothing but I sure as fuck can't easily tell you WHAT it is.

It's a compulsion to play with fire and see if he gets burned, it's the glee of being a bad(?) influence and needling them to reconsider their worldview/reexamine that deep-seated self-hatred and where it comes from and where it goes. It's the thrill of being able to indulge his more extreme fantasies without lasting repercussions. It's not romantic but it's definitely as flammable as pitch. (It's bonding over snake parenting? Yes.)

But it's also Goldwave very deliberately keeping himself at arm's length because, aside from his hangups over Schrödinger's Ex, it's also being all too keenly aware of the gulf between them, and what Ember holds back and has to hold back, and how it could never be a truly equal partnership even if they both honestly wanted the same thing. So it ends up like this. Whatever this is.

I've been inspired by your tweet to try and edit the audio of GBA. Do you have any good sources or tutorials? So far, I've just been importing small clips into the area I want to replace in Goldwave and hope nothing breaks. (Most the time it does)

goldwave is the best option i used back then, its very trial and error lol
