Iced or hot coffee ☕

Why would you make me drink coffee in the first place? Why was coffee even discovered and who decided it was an acceptable beverage? If I have to make a choice, then iced and with a shit ton of sugar/chocolate/white chocolat syrup. You know Starbucks' white chocolate frappuccino? Very little coffee, lots of everything else.

Iced or hot tea 🍵

Why would you ice TEA? This is why the human race is doomed I'm telling you. Tea is to be served hot but never burnt so get that kettle off before it boils.

Lemonade or sweet tea 🍋

Sweet tea is an abomination. Why would you give me BAKING SODA TO DRINK? Ugh. Lemonade is alright if homemade by someone who's not addicted to sugar though.

Fruity or minty gum

Not allowed to chew gum anymore but I was more of a mint person. Fruity flavors were too chemical for my taste.

Pasta or potatoes

Niak. This is a hard one. Potatoes are fun and you can fry them and they're creatures of God but pastaaaaaa... Parmesan goes on pasta and for that reason only it gets my vote.

Olives or pickles

There are two things you need to know about me if we're gonna share food together: I will never, ever willingly consume olives and will have pickles with absolutely everything. The small ones though, cornichons. Not the gigantic ones people in America like to grow.

Rice or bread

Bread. Bread. BREAD.

Cookies or brownies

Brownies take too long to bake and you have more fun with cookies. Also, that's my cat's name and if I don't say cookies he will know tonight when I get home and he will bite me to punish me.

Handwritten or phone reminders-

That notes app is somewhere on my phone because I can't uninstall it. But I hate my handwriting with a passion so I just remember everything since I have an excellent memory.

Zip-up or pullover hoodie

I hate zip-ups, I look like a whale in them. And hoodies are COZYYYY.

I look even more like a whale in sweatpants so I'll have to say jeans. But when I'm home I'm just wearing pjs.

Both are evil so they can crawl back to where they belong. I'll sleep with socks (even thin) all year long. I'll take them off when we reach 40°.

I use my kindle before bed but paperback all the way when you want to spend hours reading.

It depends on the ship. I usually prefer canon but there are some excellent AUs out there.

My issue with sports AU is that it's almost always about the characters in the sports world rather than the chosen sport itself. I end up frustrated with how poorly depicted the sport is or how irrelevant it is to have them in this world in the first place all.the.time. Like okay they're figure skaters but why would you have them do 3 triple lutzes in one program when it's not a thing and yolo spins without telling me if it's a flying sit spin or a back camel?

Celebrity AU or Coffeeshop AU

I may have outgrown the coffeeshop AU, so, celebrity.

i’m gonna list my favorite of each:

beer: honey 🍯

wine: rosé……….. sorry

juice: any kind of grape soda reigns supreme but the pink lemonade they serve at in n out is so good. it has the juice.

coffee: depends on the quality, if it’s high-end i’ll drink it black but usually i drink it with milk, the one i like to make at home: i whisk it with a bit of sugar, add water and milk and sprinkle some cinnamon on top.

tea: i like all kinds of tea, dunno if bubble/boba tea counts but🧋

Rayneeeee!! The way I squealed this morning when I saw there's a new chapter... And the torture of having to wait until after work to really enjoy it <3

It was SO good.

The start was beautifully described, the dream felt like a real situation... The bickering, the dialogue, the off-behavior of our little yellow cannonball...

I almost forgot what the current situation these characters are in, really is. It felt so real...

Until it didn't and shifted into that nightmare that I could picture, horrifying with all the real sounds mixing in. I'm always so, so mesmerized by how you manage to transition between reality and dreamscapes (and in Genma's past, drug trips). It's so flawlessly done and it really... feels like a movie? I read it and I *see* it and that's the most amazing part.

Truly, seeing Shikamaru and Naruto doing this badly is tearing at my heartstrings. I love me some good angst and you really manage to deliver. Feels like getting my heart scalpeled out of me very. Slowly. In the best way possible <3

I love reading about their journey and their suffering and I'm also so incredibly hooked on Genma. I'm gonna wait very patiently I swear I'm trying I'm so incredibly patient and not clawing at the walls to see my favorite dysfunctional masochist of a bodyguard again for the next chapter!! I really, really love your writing and get so much emotion out of it.

It really does make me feel and I hold it so dear to my heart because of that. 💜💜💜

This is reassuring on so many levels because...the way it plays out in the funhouse inside my head isn't always fun, and I freak out in editor mode thinking...there's no way any of this is going to read the way I hope it does or the way this poor bastard character is experiencing it right now...just like you said you feel it "like a movie", I SEE it that way when writing so its great to know it doesn't get totally lost in translation.

And bless you very much for that, my dear! As for Genma, I'm just so chuffed his part in BtB has been received with love. Never know which characters are going to take the wheel and drive things for a time and Genma undoubtedly came into this like a Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball whilst attempting to run damage control...the irony of this dude. Thanks for the fabulous love you show him. Seeing how invested you are in the characters is delicious.

I will never be able to adequately say how much that means or how much I treasure this because the whole point for me is to have the characters’ hearts impact the readers’...in the wrecking ball kind of way. Seriously though, I so hope people come away with feeling and not just entertainment...this world is a dumpster truck (several dumpster trucks) on fire at this moment in history and people understandably want to numb out. If my work can ellicit some feeling, then I'm doing what I'm meant to do. And I only know that by the kindness of those who reach out and let me know. Thank you for being one of those dear people.

best moments from the tim buckley book part 2

1. tim was signed to the same label as the doors and was friends with jim. he liked jim offstage but didnt like him onstage. he thought jim was an embarrassing performer, either drunk or high all the time. tim felt he had no respect for his music and that he didnt take it seriously as a performer. he would walk out of doors live performances sometimes for that reason. his guitarist and others who've performed with tim have said that they never once seen tim give a live performance while intoxicated. i really wish this book revealed tim and jim's interactions but it doesnt. except for their regular conversations abt poetry/literature. like dude, u wrote this book and you were there!!! u were in tim's band and ur not gonna touch on that?? how did tim react when he heard the news that he died? no info on that either like why even mention jim, fool!

2. personally i rly luved reading abt the time tim went on a "america is better than england" rant at a pub in london bc they served him warm beer and he did it all in a southern accent and pretending to be from texas. the bartender punched him and threw him out. hes so stupid, the shit he said was so funny.

3. after getting kicked out from the pub he goes back to the hotel and continues another rant in the lobby about how "english rock musicians stole everything from black american musicians" (he didnt get thrown out or punched this time.)

4. dude was very destructive. crashing his car for fun/driving drunk or on lsd while ppl are riding in the car with him and all, starting fights w/ ppl, getting his friends into legal trouble. troubled boy behavior, u know how it is.

5. linda mccartney supposedly gave tim the clap (this was b4 paul). his guitarist didnt believe him so years later when he ran into her in person he asked her and she completely denied it so idk who's lying here. 🤔 (altho tim did have a rep for lying and if it is a lie, im interested on why he felt the need to, like what did she do to u tim? 👀🍵)

6. tim would put on this sad boy persona around girls bc he liked the attention/affection he got from them. he'd go on about his abusive father and his failed marriage and how he doesnt get to see his son, like his ass didnt move to new york with some bitch named jainie and didnt abandon his wife and son in california w/o hesitation, he was so pathetic! 💀
