hey!!! big big fan! your writing is amazing!
what if you did a you should come get your man but instead make it ‘you should come get your reader’
i just want to see characters get jealous basically lol. hope you’re doing well !!
🗣️getting rid of my drafts, drop some more prompts in my inbox.
Pairings: kaiser, reo
———————
KAISER
as the game ended and the fans started to filter out of the stadium, you hung back waiting for your boyfriend. now that the seating area was almost empty, kaiser could finally talk to you.
he called out to you as he jogged over. “did you enjoy the game, my love?” you took his outstretched hand and climbed onto the field.
“of course I did,” you swung your interlocked hands. “you were amazing as per usual.”
the two of you chatted aimlessly, walking around the field as kaiser started to come down from his post-game high.
"alright, I'm gonna go freshen up and get my stuff," he kissed the back of your hand. "wait for me?"
you nodded, eyeing the man as he vanished down the hall.
"i can feel you staring!" he called without looking back, making you chuckle.
deciding to be useful, you gathered kaisers left belongings off the bench and started to make your way towards the stadium exit.
"you kaiser's girl?" a voice from behind you.
startled, you turned around to see a guy dressed in the ubers uniform. you don't recognise him and you've met all your boyfriend's teammates, so you deduced that this guy is probably a rookie in training.
"that's me," you smiled politely, "can i help you with anything?"
"you sure can help me with something," he smirked, rubbing his chin. "for starters, you can tell me how that egomaniac managed to bag a gorgeous girl like yourself,"
how he managed to both complement you and diss you (indirectly) you found quite fascinating, but you weren't having any of it.
"he was a real sweetheart." emphasis on the sweetheart. "I'm sure if you use a more friendly approach you can get whoever it is your looking for."
the guy clearly didn't seem to get the hint. "so you're into nice guys, huh. why are ya' with michael then. guy's an ass."
"'guy' also thinks you should show a little more respect to your superiors, rookie."
smirking, you turned around to find your knight in shining armour eyeing the rookie with a smirk.
"my fault boss," his attitude was nonchalant. "keep a tight leash on this one though, or else i might get tempted again."
he smirked, trying to barge shoulders with kaiser as he passed, grunting under his breath when he didn't move an inch.
"you should go fight him, defend my honour." you nudged his side once he was out of earshot.
he chortled loudly, "you're such an instigator, I'm not fighting him."
"you'll do it if you love me?" you questioned blinking up at him with innocent eyes. the things you would do you see michael throw hands with someone.
his big hand pushed your face away from him. "ill do you one better and make his training with the ubers unbearable, how does that sound, hmmmm?"
a pout formed on your lips as you sighed. "...ill take it i guess."
REO
the clock has just passed midnight, but the party your boyfriend had invited you to was at its peak. enjoying the buzz of the alcohol that was once in your empty glass, you headed over to the bar.
"hey," you flagged the bartender down, "could i get a refill on this please?
the neon blue lights of the bar made the sparkle in his eye more evident when he caught sight of you.
"whatever the pretty lady wants," he brushed his fingers against yours when taking your glass. "what can i do for you?"
the brief contact and the intense eye contact quickly fought off the oncoming buzz. "the pretty lady is taken, but she is willing to forget about this if she could get a pornstar?" you offered.
"oh you can get a pornstar alright," he winked. "give me a sec, sweetheart."
alarm bells rang in your head as his back was towards you, meaning your glass was out of sight.
there was no way in hell you were gonna drink whatever he put in front of you.
he returned a short while after, sliding your drink across the bar.
"you know, if you wanted, i could give you another pornstar you'll really enjoy." he pulled back your glass when you reached out for it.
"no thanks. boyfriend." your smile came tight and fake.
"come onnnn, princess," he smiled wider. "aren't you having so much fun at this party? spend the night with me and i can make sure you can get into all the exclusive parties you want."
"she'll pass." came mikage's voice from your side. he wrapped an arm around you, in an attempt to smooth your tense muscles as he dragged the glass back over with two fingers.
the bartender's face hardened, "the lady can speak for herself, thanks bro."
"m' not your bro." reo's brows furrowed. "you're making my girl uncomfortable, did you put anything in her drink?"
the guy shook his head wordlessly, prompting reo to sip the glass.
"wait, what if-"
"don't worry, sweetheart," his hand dropped to stroke your thigh comfortingly. "it's clean, but I'm sorry this happened to you. i should've noticed sooner."
you relaxed with his touch, "it's not your fault, reo. sometimes people can't handle rejection."
"i'm right here ya know?"
two pairs of eyes stared the guy down, one neutral, one daring.
rolling his eyes, mikage turned to face the guy. "between you and me, you might need to find another bribe to pull ladies with because i can tell you now this will be the last gig you'll ever do."
the guy gulped under reo's intense gaze.
"alright man, in understand the ladys' taken, you don't need to go threatening my job."
"you threatened your won job once you tried it with her,"
you placed a hand on his arm as a reminder to be rational.
"i'm sorry baby," he pecked your forehead. "you ready to go home?"
you nodded.

Jimmy & Janis
Jimmy: What it is, right, your twin left her coat at CG earlier & it's my neck if it's not back in her hands by me next shift Jimmy: pass it on Janis: Hmm Janis: Are you sure you've got the right person here? Jimmy: Grace Cavante is your sister isn't she? One of Janis: Unfortunately Janis: No doubt she'd rather you gave it to her yourself and that feeling is mutual, like Janis: Get a clue, lad Janis: couldn't be less obvious 'less she left her knickers Jimmy: Stop your chatting, a sec Jimmy: nowt's mutual that's why I'm asking you to get it, not her Jimmy: The resale's nowt either, I had a look Janis: You're in my inbox? Janis: Knew you were lost Janis: Poor Gracie, first you pie her then you call her cheap, gutted Jimmy: I've been round your family tree about 4 times Jimmy: Can't call myself lost Jimmy: You gonna grab this or nah? Janis: Unlucky, but I ain't gonna cry for you Janis: Wrong twin, again like Janis: What's in it for me? Already told me I can't flog it Jimmy: 💔 Jimmy: well I'd shout you a muffin but if you're anything like her, I'll be the one eating it when you don't & I'm watching my figure meself Jimmy: guess the pleasure of my company works if you are? Janis: Tell you ain't from 'round here Janis: No 🍀 Janis: Nothing like her Jimmy: sounds more like my luck's finally in Jimmy: got enough stalkers Jimmy: more than I've done shifts Jimmy: what you want then, other twin? Janis: Not that I doubt how special you are Janis: I completely do, by the way Janis: You get to thinking how you can make me having to fucking regale every detail of this frankly riveting convo to my sister worthwhile and I'll get to walking, yeah? Jimmy: You wound me, girl 💔💔💔💔 Jimmy: I sought you out, whereas she's been in my inbox unread since my moving in date, that'd do for starters Janis: If the situation's a dire as you reckon, you'll have plenty consolation, boy Janis: Welcome Janis: State, honestly Jimmy: You're my consolation if you do me this delivery Jimmy: feeding me to the wolves in lipstick if you don't, basically Jimmy: 'ave it on your conscience if you want, mate Janis: Fucking Hell, if I start atoning for all her cringe or offering myself up as 'consolation' to every lad she makes a tit out of herself in front of I'll never get anything done Janis: Ugh, alright, brains, do your job for you as well, shall I? Just put your mate's number on her to-go 'stead of yours, yeah? Jimmy: alright but how many of 'em are coming to you direct for help, I'm making myself look as much of a tit here, aren't I? Jimmy: brutal you Jimmy: newbies don't have mates to throw under buses Janis: Well, don't be fooled by how available I seem Janis: phone never stops, like Jimmy: I'll find another way then Jimmy: if you stop by for coffee I'll misspell your name like we never chatted, don't worry Janis: Barista bants, how cute Janis: Whatever, it's on my route, I can get it tomorrow AM Jimmy: what you prefer, Janet or Janice? Let me know Janis: 😑 Janis: If you want my sister to ride you, keep on taking the piss, she'll love that, like Jimmy: if you want me to be nice to you, keep using your sister for that A+ excuse Jimmy: 'cause nah, there's nowt more appealing than her getting on her bike Janis: Ha, fuck off, you're the one with a tips jar and manager to keep happy, dickhead Janis: I'm not saying she's not fussy, I'm just saying it might take me several cups of coffee to give you enough 3rd degree burns for her to be #overit Jimmy: funny Jimmy: & im just saying I'd rather give me ex a bell & have her do her worst ruining my life long distance Janis: Worth a shot then, isn't it? Janis: Just try and be less Janis: this Janis: she might reckon you're a changed man Jimmy: is it gonna change your sister's mind about me if I do? Jimmy: 'cause her mates have homewrecker written all over 'em Janis: It was a poor choice of friendship tat, yeah but they ain't the brightest, bless Janis: idk, probably help if the girl was real, mate Jimmy: she is real but shes also real far away Jimmy: & really hates me Jimmy: that's mutual unlike the attraction your little twin is harboring 💔 Janis: 💔 Janis: fuck someone here then, ain't gotta be all 💕 just look enough like it that they write you off their hit lists, yeah Jimmy: proper romantic you Jimmy: I'll go back to the drawing board if its all the same Jimmy: don't need another lass falling for me, do I? Janis: 🙄 Janis: If I had such an easy out, I'd use it Janis: fucking blood ties, such bullshit, along with romance but there we go Jimmy: Easy? yeah alright, Juliet Janis: Not saying you've gotta off yourself with the poor bitch, steady on, though peak 💘 so it is Janis: You're either a 😻 magnet or you ain't, can't have it both ways Jimmy: I just wanna be left alone Jimmy: shouldn't be a lot to ask but until I master leprechaun for fuck off, it apparently is Janis: Preaching to the choir...nah, fuck that, preaching to the big man himself Janis: You work it out, you've got my details now you fucking stalker so hmu then and not before k Jimmy: you know the saying, get stalked enough, become fucked off enough by it to become the stalker Jimmy: or summat Janis: Tragic Janis: No doubt you coulda been something, kid Jimmy: 💔 Jimmy: still could Jimmy: if you help me Janis: I don't know how to make a latte, soz Jimmy: not a requirement of dating me, and yeah, my boss is gutted Janis: you what? Jimmy: go out with me Jimmy: you said yourself it don't have to be a love story Janis: um yeah but you should both at least be somewhat into it, ideal world Janis: know you already called me out as the romantic here but Jimmy: nah, you're what I need Jimmy: I won't get tempted Jimmy: keep it easy, like you also said Janis: 🖕 Janis: Like I said, show me how it's worth my time and I will Jimmy: your sister would hate it Jimmy: not like I'm asking you to marry me, you look enough like her that'd be like asking myself to honeymoon in Vietnam Janis: You're a cunt, also, obviously not well-traveled Janis: say what you like Janis: it would be amusing to piss her off and I'm always up for finding new ways Jimmy: so you in? Jimmy: 3 date minimum Janis: You mean I actually have to spend time with you? Jimmy: as long as people think you are, do what you want Janis: Fill your boots Janis: but don't just be saying I let you finger me on your lunch break, like, that isn't working on anyone, least of all my sister and her stupid mates Jimmy: come get your sister's coat and we'll make the magic happen Jimmy: coupley pics and #s will work Jimmy: all they do is sip & scroll Janis: How magical can you really be, then? 😏 Janis: Fuck it, worth it just to piss her grafting you down the drain Jimmy: I'll fake rock your world, Jasmine Janis: Sure 👌 Make me forget my name half as many times as you have and you'll have fucked enough brain cells out to make me a thick Northern twat, clearly Jimmy: 💔 Jimmy: hope you're a better actress than you are sweet talker, love Janis: That ain't the one, fucking hell Janis: pick a better petname if we ain't taking time to remember Jimmy: let me know what you want me to call you Jimmy: Baby, right? I bet you're one of them girls Janis: 😒 Hilarious Janis: My daddy issues are pretty non-existent, soz to report Jimmy: what then? Jimmy: Can't call you Juliet if you aren't ride or die for me, darling Janis: I'm remember your unfortunate accent now Janis: it's probably best you don't speak Jimmy: strong, silent type Jimmy: Alright Jimmy: 👍 Janis: It's your fantasy, kid Janis: Big yourself up however you gotta Jimmy: fantasy? nah Jimmy: necessity Janis: You've not gotta warn me Janis: Not swooning over this chat Jimmy: 💔 Janis: We're all gutted Janis: push that down and smile for the 'gram Jimmy: 😁 Janis: That's the spirit Jimmy: I know yours is more 😏 Jimmy: control yourself if you can, Jenna Janis: Make no promises to control myself so Janis: 👊 behave or deal Jimmy: make one or its off Jimmy: your sister & his mates break enough of my boundaries Janis: If the problem is they're swinging for you, I'm gonna go right ahead and victim blame Jimmy: probably keep that off the 'gram, girl Janis: We laying down ground rules here and now, yeah? Jimmy: you got something else on? Janis: It's the Easter hols Janis: so no Janis: fuck all Jimmy: then may as well Janis: Alright Janis: No posting without getting the other's go ahead first Jimmy: done Jimmy: same goes for agreeing to go somewhere/do something as the power couple we're pretending to be Janis: 'Course Jimmy: & if you tell your sister summat let me know too 'cause she loves questioning me over her coffee Janis: Ha Janis: I do my level best to avoid her but easy Jimmy: you're not gonna brag about what a good boyfriend I am 💔 Janis: We'll have to work out how good you are first, like Jimmy: good enough that I'm off limits your sister & her mates Jimmy: no more no less Janis: Can do that Jimmy: don't fall in love with me for real, can you do that? Janis: 😏 Are you for real? Janis: Ego to go with the accent, is it Jimmy: just checking you're not like your sister for real Jimmy: could be protesting too much for all I know Janis: And this could just be a really bad come on for all I know Janis: we'll have to trust on this one thing, deal? Jimmy: Yeah Janis: Sorted Janis: Make me sound good, as I will be for you Jimmy: how good? Jimmy: nobody knows my dating history, what's yours? Janis: Likewise Janis: all you gotta do is make it realistic enough that people stop asking if I'm a dyke Jimmy: Easy Jimmy: Are you a take it slow girl or hook up on date 1 type? Janis: Won't be getting that graphic on the 'gram, leave it out Jimmy: But it won't stay on the 'gram, will it? Jimmy: People chat Jimmy: what reputation do you want? Janis: Probably better to not be a slag init Jimmy: but don't be keeping me waiting too long if you don't wanna sound gay Janis: alright, irresistable Janis: 2nd date, like Jimmy: 👍 Janis: I ain't, by the way Jimmy: Don't matter Janis: Does Janis: Who needs the pressure of being a beard? This ain't what this is, got it Jimmy: It'd be less pressure, probably Jimmy: you'd be better at faking it Janis: Sorry to disappoint you and all the girls 😒 Jimmy: if its the only time you're gonna, I'll cope Janis: Naturally Janis: Aim to please Jimmy: save it for the 'gram, Judith Janis: Reckon I'm being nice rn? Janis: Suspiciously good at it Jimmy: Which bit? Janis: The bit where you fake a relationship Janis: Good tactic to get bare girls, like or what Jimmy: You're my first 💕 Jimmy: don't let it go to your head, Josephine Janis: as much as that'd get 'em throwing out the #goals Janis: secret's safe with me, boy Jimmy: 👍 Jimmy: don't have to go to these lengths up north Jimmy: girls just get if you're interested or nah Janis: 💔 it's a shithole, mate Janis: didn't you get told before leaving t'mines Jimmy: must've had too much coal in my ears or summat Janis: Don't know what you got 'til it's gone Janis: interested and interesting bitches included, obvs Jimmy: not only a pretty face you Jimmy: got it going on in your head too Jimmy: lucky me Jimmy: 😍😍😍😍 Janis: Yeah yeah Janis: Better take back what you said 'bout the leprechauns now you're coming up 🍀&🌹 Jimmy: if you save the humble for the #s I'll think about it Janis: Never been accused of being humble Janis: I guess the gay or nay is more pressing Jimmy: never checked a mirror or nowt, neither? The Community Build Challenge
There’s so many build challenges I wasn’t sure what to call this thing but it doesn’t fit any of the current ones out there. So I really didn’t want to say I was doing one of those and then severely alter the rules someone worked hard to put together. The big reason I don’t care for a lot of the current ones though is due to the restrictions placed on my household (must have x traits, or do x job, must have x sims to build x lot and to have the x sims you need to master x skill..) and you all know I tend to play things out on high autonomy. I just like a lot free will in my simverse so being ultra controlling over every small thing in the town really isn’t my style. So this is laid back sort of build a community challenge. There are some pretty heavy rules though so don’t think I’m just gonna slack off over here. :P
The Rules
1. Choose one town to start in, you will not really leave that town until it’s done being built so choose wisely.
2. You must build (or place if you want to do this and aren’t a builder like me) at least one community lot and one residential lot in that town per generation. Preferably as cc free as possible so the lots can be shared and used easily in other saves.
*I did make an exception for the legacy house which I have to keep them in for a long time so it  has oodles of cc. I probably won’t be sharing that lot, it requires way way too much.
3. You must move one new family into town per generation. They cannot be related in any fashion to the main household. Even distantly like the 7 or so generation gap between Yager and my Walk of Life sims. I know they are still family even if no one else does and I want to limit founders effect as much as possible.
4. You may only visit lots you’ve built or locations the “nearest settlement” (more on that in a sec).
5. Until you build a general store you may only eat food you’ve cultivated or acquired at the “nearest settlement.”
6. Services don’t exist until you build a support building for it. I’m using Zerbu’s go to school and careers mods  since they’ve been updated for seasons to facilitate this. So kids will not go to school, there will be no visits to the hospital, and those jobs will not exist officially in my town until they have buildings of their own. I LOVE these mods, they really make my save feel alive. I had really been missing go to school especially.
7. You must choose one other town to act as a waystation for your sims to visit and meet people. I’ll explain my setup/background story in the next post but basically it functions as a place where your heirs can find a mate/new friends or pick up supplies for the community.
8. When you visit the waystation you must stay at least one night. The community is meant to be pretty remote. This rule is 100% optional imo but it adds some immersion for me.
9. Until a world is complete I cannot move to a different house. I may only move my family once they unlock the next community section. I can visit those sections but they are empty and my sims would have to camp. I’m using another one of Zerbu’s great mods to make everything but the current worlds I have unlocked and my way station vacation worlds. I didn’t really HAVE to do that but I like how it functions.
*note I am not sure how well the vacation worlds function as home worlds.  Zerbu’s mod enables a lot of things but it seems a bit glitchy at times when building and inviting sims over so I don’t recommend using them as starters. When I build there I”m probably just going to just keep extending my vacation instead of plopping down a residential lot.
10. Heirs must trace back to my founders. If I chose someone outside of the main household (say if my heir dies without child for example), they must move into the generational house for that neighborhood.
11. Death is permanent, no purposely bringing peeps back to life (some of my gardener sims magically seem to produce death flowers at the right fucking time... looking at YOU REVAN the Undying pain in the ass..... so I know that can happen sometimes but don’t do it on purpose), no moving in ghosts.
I think that’s it, should anything come up in gameplay I think should be added I’ll edit this post and make a changelog at the bottom. Anyone is free to try this out and amend it to their own tastes. If you do feel free to @ me, be interested to see if anyone else gives it a go and if it’s enjoyable for anyone else.

This was complete and total domination.
Hey everyone, in case you missed yesterday’s game (like if you were wearing red at a wedding), then it would be good to remind you that Auburn beat Mississippi State 56-23 in a game that might not have even been that close.
The Tigers scored on their first five possessions (all touchdowns), and the first drive they failed on was ended by a fumble that replay proved should be overturned (it wasn’t). Auburn went 7-8 scoring touchdowns, and led 42-9 at halftime. Bo Nix did something that hasn’t been done since Cam Newton, and every phase of the game looked like it’s not only improved, but improved a ton.
First of all, this wasn’t just a night for the football team, as the basketball team finally received its rings for last season’s heroics.
So THIS just happened... Bruce Pearl just gave Charles Barkley his own Final Four ring. pic.twitter.com/jvzRhPtA6v

It was truly a celebration from start to finish at Jordan-Hare Stadium with that going on. Gus Malzahn and the football team provided the perfect backdrop for jubilation. A huge reason for that was Bo Nix, who finally seemed to arrive as the five-star quarterback that we thought he’d be. Yeah, he’d won the Oregon and A&M games, but he didn’t look stellar. Last night, he was stellar.
Bo Nix is the first Auburn quarterback since Cam Newton in the 2010 SEC Championship Game to have 300-plus passing yards and 50-plus rushing yards in a single game. Jason Campbell also did it against Tennessee in 2004.
— Justin Ferguson (@JFergusonAU) September 29, 2019
Final stat line for the freshman — 16-21, 335 yards, 2 touchdowns, no interceptions, 7 carries, 56 yards, 1 touchdown. He led all rushers, and was one of nine ball carriers on the night. That’s a huge shift away from what Gus Malzahn has done over the years. By this time he’s usually found a workhorse and ridden him to victory. Now, he’s keeping backs fresh. Apparently, that came per the suggestion of Cadillac Williams, and it’s not surprising. Caddy always had Ronnie Brown, or Tre Smith, or even Brandon Jacobs for a time to keep his legs fresh. It just makes sense that he’d try to get a little more balance going than Gus has used in the past.
Still, last night was Boobee’s show from the start, and he made the play that everyone’s talking about today. On Auburn’s first play from scrimmage, Whitlow took the handoff from Bo Nix and scampered 30 yards into the end zone for the score, rolling over the MSU mascot Bully in the process.

— Justin Ferguson (@JFergusonAU) September 29, 2019
Whitlow made up for what happened to Robert Baker and Jerraud Powers by squaring up on the Bulldogs himself and setting the tone for what would be a rather unpleasant night for Mississippi State. Overall, the Bulldogs had a really tough time after getting punched in the mouth early.
And Auburn gets the second half kickoff. It’s like State just realized the midterm exam is printed on both sides.
— John Carvalho (@John_P_Carvalho) September 29, 2019
On Bo Nix, the comparisons to his dad’s Iron Bowl touchdown pass after the game-winner against Oregon were rampant, but there are even more parallels to uncover.
Bo Nix duplicated his father’s 1994 performance against MSU, throwing for 335 yds and 2 TD's. His father threw for 311 yds and 3 TD's against MSU during AU’s 42-18 victory over MSU in 1994. 25 years ago, Patrick Nix had his breakout game as AU’s starter, and Bo Nix did the same.
— StatTiger (@StatTiger) September 29, 2019
Know what Patrick Nix did the week after rolling Mississippi State in 1994? Went down to Gainesville and beat the top-ranked Florida Gators in the Swamp. Yeah.
After the win, there was a bunch of attention on Auburn. Best resume in the country? Probably. How should we rank teams? Based on how good we think they are or how well they’ve actually performed? It’s anyone’s guess, but there was a surge in attention from the unlikeliest of sources.
Dan must really enjoy angry irrational replies. No not Alabama fans demanding he respect the Tide, Auburn fans demanding he STFU BECAUSE WTF DAN https://t.co/9qL7vhVeuZ
— MTP (@marytylerpoor) September 29, 2019
Normally anti-Auburn outlets were spouting the praises of Gus Malzahn’s team, and for Auburn fans used to the past, it’s tough. We’ve all gone through the “Auburn plays well when ranked medium” experiences — and it’s fairly true. The Tigers’ best recent seasons have come when they weren’t ranked highly to start. They were under the radar. And when Auburn has been given that recognition, oftentimes they’ve underachieved. Maybe it’s time to embrace it.
And maybe you shouldn’t do the whole Turnover Chain thing when you’re getting spanked.
the saddest turnover chain pic.twitter.com/EWPlB6yNbr
— Dave (@grantbland) September 29, 2019
If there was one area where Auburn can look to improve, it’s in ball security. Auburn officially fumbled four times last night, but one of these — see below — wasn’t a fumble, and all parties agreed on the air before the officials let the play stand.
What an atrocious call. pic.twitter.com/P4uhy8WzLG
— Justin Hokanson (@_JHokanson) September 29, 2019
On the others, Bo Nix had a fumble go out of bounds on a long run, Boobee Whitlow averted disaster when Anthony Schwartz dove on a ball that sat on the ground farrrrrr too long, and then the backups lost one late. It’s perfect for Gus to instill some more fire into these guys ahead of the Florida trip.
We haven’t even mentioned the defense, and it might be because it seems so pedestrian when they truck someone like they did last night. We’re used to them doing that now. Derrick Brown and Marlon Davidson were downright violent at times, and I think Owen Pappoe had some of his best plays despite being lost in the zone read game at times. K.J. Britt should be an All-SEC backer this year, and Roger McCreary is turning into a real live cover corner. It’s beautiful to see.
In the end, this was a near-perfect game from a couple of standpoints. We saw the progression of the offense and there were enough things to work on that they can’t afford to loaf through the week with Florida on the horizon. Oh, and you won’t find any Gus naysayers in the picture below. It’s quite a different scene from what you might get in a blowout win across the state.
56-16 in the 4th quarter with 14 minutes left. And look at this damn crowd y’all. pic.twitter.com/cMsavcnc7S
— Pablo Escobarner (blue check) (@PabloEscobarner) September 29, 2019
Now, are you ready for a huge, huge, huuuuuuuuuuge game down south? Auburn goes to the Swamp for the first time in 12 years (since Wes Byrum made it twice), and 25 years after Bo Nix’s dad led the game-winning drive in that stadium, and went 28-51 for 319 yards and 3 touchdowns on the day.
College Gameday will be there, the place will be packed, and Auburn gets a chance to cement its place in the top ten with what would be the biggest win by anyone this season so far. Gigantic week coming everyone, enjoy the fanfare, and War Eagle!

Andrew McCutchen is shaving his beard for a possible World Series run. Ryan Madson is switching bullpens, trying to help another team win a title. And Josh Donaldson is hoping he’s healthy enough to contribute.
The Milwaukee Brewers? They were a busy bunch, swinging trades to get starter Gio Gonzalez, outfielder Curtis Granderson and reliever Xavier Cedeno.
Several contending teams swung into action Friday, making trades to bolster potential playoff rosters. A player must be on a club by Aug. 31 to be eligible for the post-season.
“I think what happens in September is that the whole calculus of this thing changes,” Milwaukee manager Craig Counsell said.
Counsell spoke after the Brewers acquired Cedeno, and before they beat Washington 4-1 at Nationals Park. After the win, Milwaukee said it had gotten Gonzalez from the Nats and Granderson from Toronto.
All three of the Milwaukee trades were for minor leaguers. So, too, were the swaps that sent Donaldson from Toronto to Cleveland, Madson from Washington to the Dodgers and McCutchen from San Francisco to the Yankees.
The Indians’ trade for Donaldson might’ve been the most intriguing of the day. Cleveland is running away with the AL Central, but it’s not certain how Donaldson, a third baseman who was the 2015 AL MVP, might be used.
Donaldson hasn’t played in the majors since May 28 because of a strained calf and only began a minor league rehab assignment this week. When he’s healthy, he’s fiery and fearsome.
“I’m going to miss him,” Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said shortly before the trade was announced. “We had our battles. He is a high-strung player, but he did a lot for us.”
Gonzalez simply shifted clubhouses and changed from a Nationals uniform into a Brewers sweatshirt and hat.
“I grew up here. I had my family here, my wife and my kids. It’s just sad but I’m happy,” Gonzalez said. “I’m really happy. I’m getting a second chance to redeem myself and I think this is a perfect opportunity with a team like the Brewers. I see there’s a hopefully a brighter future for me.”
The 32-year-old lefty is 7-11 with a 4.57 ERA in 27 starts this season.
“You’re surprised because you never know what’s going to happen. You hear all kinds of rumblings and things. There’s no reason to get worked up over anything until something happens,” said the 37-year-old Granderson, who had a pinch-hit single and scored in a 6-5 win at Miami.
The 37-year-old Granderson is batting .245 with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs in 104 games this season. He has reached the playoffs with four teams in his career — Detroit, the New York Yankees, the New York Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Clubs can start calling up reinforcements from the minors on Saturday. But it’s who they added before September that could really count in October.
McCutchen, one of several players to pass through waivers after the July 31 trade deadline, was sent from San Francisco to the New York Yankees for a pair of minor leaguers.
The 2013 NL MVP was hitting .255 with 15 home runs, 55 RBIs and 13 stolen bases for the Giants. McCutchen will take over in right field — that was slugger Aaron Judge’s spot in the Bronx, but he hasn’t swung a bat since a fastball broke his wrist five weeks ago.
The 31-year-old McCutchen was expected to be in the lineup Saturday at Yankee Stadium to face Detroit. Before he plays, though, he must adhere to the Yankees’ strict rule on facial hair, and that meant shaving the beard he’s sported for almost his whole career.
“Just gonna take me a sec to get used to my freshly shaved face,” he posted on Twitter.
The Dodgers, having seen closer Kenley Jansen wobble since coming off the disabled list, got Madson from the Nationals for a minor league pitcher.
Madson was 5-5 with five saves and a 4.08 ERA in 69 games for Washington. The 38-year-old recently came off the disabled list after being sidelined by nerve irritation that caused pain in his neck and back.
“Feels like a fresh start, especially to a year I’ve struggled a little bit,” Madson said as he was leaving Nationals Park. “Now none of that matters. All that matters is from this point forward and helping that team win games. That’s it.”
Madson helped Philadelphia win the World Series in 2008 and Kansas City do the same in 2015.
The Oakland Athletics, who finished last in the AL West the past three years, tried to improve their playoff chances by getting right-handed reliever Cory Gearrin from Texas Rangers for a pair of minor league pitchers.
Gearrin was a combined 2-1 with a 3.51 ERA and one save in 56 appearances for the Rangers and San Francisco.
“I know he’s excited about being here. I talked to him for a while today. He said, “I’ll do whatever you ask me to do,'” A’s manager Bob Melvin said.
In another deal, the Colorado Rockies got backup catcher Drew Butera from Kansas City for a minor league lefty.

Temple Football 2018 Preview: Continuity and Optimism
Temple football got off to a slow start in the post-Matt Rhule era.
First-year head coach Geoff Collins began his tenure with three wins and fives losses as he worked to get more out of an offense and defense that both featured a good amount of potential but weren’t exactly operating like well-oiled machines. The Owls looked like a squad that was trying to find its footing after consecutive 10-win seasons that saw Rhule depart for Baylor and nine players move on to the NFL.
Would Temple continue to build on the good things Rhule developed in North Philadelphia, or would they regress to the norm?
It feels like more of the former rather than the latter, and it started last November with a solid home win over a decent Navy program. Quarterback Frank Nutile, who took over for Logan Marchi one game prior, put in a fantastic four touchdown performance, going 22-30 with 289 passing yards on the day. The defense limited Navy’s patented rushing attack to 136 yards on 52 carries, and the 34-26 win put the Owls back on track to qualify for a third straight bowl game.
They went on to win two of their final three, knocking off Cincinatti and Tulsa on the road and going on to smother Butch Davis and his FIU Panthers 28-3 in the Gasparilla Bowl.
It really was a nice turnaround for a team that looked more than pedestrian in September and October, struggling to carve out an identity through the first half of the schedule.
Now the Owls are back on stable ground, and you’ve got a program coming into 2018 with plenty of positives:
a second year head coach with experience under his belt
a serviceable starting quarterback
the return of running back Ryquell Armstead and wide receiver Isaiah Wright
a first round NFL prospect in safety Delvon Randall, who might be the best defensive player in the AAC
a navigable front-end schedule with winnable out-of-conference games
Nutile ended up playing about half of the 2017 season and put up 12 touchdowns and 7 interceptions with a 61.3 completion percentage. A look at his numbers, along with the top ball carriers and receivers:
On the other end of the spectrum, the question marks are fairly standard:
can Nutile continue to build on what he did last year?
how much is the defense affected by the loss of coordinator Taver Johnson and several starters in the secondary?
who steps up to replace receivers Adonis Jennings and Keith Kirkwood, who went to the NFL?
how much does the retirement of David Hood (concussions) affect the running game? can Armstead assume his workload? who steps up?
does the kicking game improve from last year’s 19/28 (68%) field goal effort?
The foundation is there. Coach and quarterback are the two most important pieces to any football team and Temple fans should feel pretty comfortable with what they’ve got.
Here’s a look at who the Owls are facing this year:
It starts with two winnable home games followed by an interesting trip to Maryland, a program embroiled in scandal. Tulsa at home is a game the Owls should win, then you go to Boston College to take on the fighting Steve Addazios. 4-2 or even 5-1 is not out of the question in the first half of the season.
The back-end schedule is tough, however. Four of the last six are on the road, including difficult trips to UCF and Houston in consecutive weeks. I think the key is that Navy game and the finale in East Hartford, both of which will go a long way towards determining bowl eligibility. But the reality is that you have six winnable home games and holding serve at Lincoln Financial Field is good enough to get you back to the postseason.
To delve deeper into this Temple squad, I asked Kyle Gauss from OwlScoop.com to chip in, and he was good enough to spend a few minutes discussing the Owls and their prospects for the 2018 season:
Crossing Broad:  7 wins and 6 losses last year, kind of a slow start out of the gates, but this team really turned it on at the end of the season, won some games down the stretch and got a bowl win, too. What’s the outlook for this team in 2018?
Kyle Gauss: They’re still trying to ride the momentum. Like you said, they started off slow last year and they ended up making a quarterback switch, which initially was for injury. Logan Marchi goes down and Frank Nutile steps in. Once he got in there he kind of just took over that job. They ended up winning a lot of games down the stretch, they became bowl eligible and won the Gasparilla Bowl and they want to continue to maintain that.
The out of conference schedule is doable. They have two ‘power five’ games against Boston College and Maryland. Everybody knows the current situation with Maryland, so that might be a game that Temple can walk into feeling pretty good. I think it should be a better season than last year. If the team can get to 8 or 9 regular season wins, and maybe UCF takes a step back with (Shaquem) Griffin graduating – I think they’ll be in competition for a division title. They have won two of the last three divisions titles, so whether they add a third one, I don’t know. But it’s an optimistic outlook so far.
Crossing Broad: In reading some quotes from the players, it seems like they’re just more comfortable with Geoff Collins and the staff now. They know what’s expected of them and they’re familiar with the schemes and the process. How much can be said for continuity and Collins going into year two, now understanding what it takes to be a head coach?
Gauss: I think a lot of it has to do with that. I think he’d be the first person to tell you that he was learning as he went. There’s a lot of continuity with the offense. The offensive coordinator is still here. Dave Patenaude will be the first one to tell you that, in his system, that they start to make strides from year one to year two. When you look at his offenses at Georgetown and Coastal Carolina, it does lend credence to that. On defense, the team did lose their coordinator, (Taver Johnson), who went to Ohio State to become the defensive backs coach. But it’s been a Geoff Collins defense the whole time, so there’s continuity there just because he’s very hands-on with the defense. I think it adds a lot of familiarity on offense when, they pretty much went from a successful offense under Matt Rhule, to all of a sudden doing something completely different, and towards the end of the year they sort of went back to a traditional Temple offense, which is when they started putting up numbers. I think having Frank Nutile now with 6-7 career starts under his belt, and you have a running back who’s been a three-year starter, and you return a lot of talent at wide receiver –  I think there will still be strides just because these guys have played a lot of football and are more comfortable at this point. There’s a lot of familiarity coming back.
Crossing Broad: Let me lump these two questions together – number one, with Nutile, what realistically can be expected of him? And with the offense, what’s the key there? You’ve got Ryquell Armstead coming back and Isaiah Wright looks like a key player as well. How does that unit move forward?
Gauss: Nutile is what he is; it’s unfair to call him a game manager because I think he’s more talented than that. He really understands the offense and doesn’t make many mental mistakes. He got a lot more comfortable as the season went along. I think there are still a lot of weapons on this team. Yeah, you graduated Keith Kirkwood, he and Adonis Jennings went to the NFL, but Wright can do a little bit of everything. Armstead, two years ago, had 14 rushing touchdowns. Ventell Bryant a few years ago looked like he’d be an NFL pick but had a bad junior year when he got lost in kind of the stew of a new team.
I think the key to the whole team might be their depth at running back. Armstead played every game last year but he was dinged up, maybe 50%, but if he’s able to give you 13 or 14 games of what he looked like as a sophomore, and if you can get guys like Jager Gardner, Tyliek Raynor, or Kyle Dobbins or Jeremy Jennings to kind of take some load off of him, I don’t think it’s every going to be a situation where they want to run the ball 50 times a game, but they do need to have that balance. I think the depth at running back is their biggest question mark, but it’s the key to the offense. At one point, after Logan Marchi lost his job at QB, they went from a 20 point per game team to a 32 point per game team. Even if they lose a couple of NFL guys at wide receiver, there are still enough pieces there for them to have a fair amount of success.
Crossing Broad: Geoff Collins obviously was a defensive coordinator for a long time. Even with Andrew Thacker coming in as DC this year and taking on Johnson’s gig, are we still looking at Collins guiding this defense, carving out a defensive identity first and going from there?
Gauss: Yeah, absolutely. I think it fits the profile. Collins was obviously a highly successful coordinator in the SEC for a good number of years. But it also fits the profile of Temple. You look back at the last ten years of Temple becoming a successful football program, and in the very beginning it was always based on defense. They had NFL guys like Muhammad Wilkerson and Jaiquawn Jarrett, who Eagles fans don’t want to hear about, but he was a highly successful college player. It’s always been based on defense and the offense always follows. I think the offense should be better this year but it’s first and foremost a defensive team. You have Delvon Randall at safety, who Sporting News projects as a first round draft pick. They bring back all of their starters at linebacker. They bring back two really good defensive tackles in Dan Archibong and Michael Dogbe. The real key with them is gonna be if they can they get pressure from the defensive ends. The defense is still going to be the identity but they have questions marks as well.
Randall is excellent. Here’s a good highlight film from last season, just mute the awful song choice:
Crossing Broad: You mentioned the road games at Maryland and BC. The UCF game is on the road in November and you’ve got 3 of the last 4 on the road, which includes Houston and UConn. What do you make of how the in-conference slate shakes down, in addition to those out of conference road trips?
Gauss: I still think with the American that there’s still the “haves” and “have nots,” even though they’re all kind of known as a Power 6 type of grouping. You start off with Villanova and they should beat Nova. Nova is a good FCS school but Temple’s talent level should make that a pretty easy win. Buffalo is a little harder than it looks on paper, but you’d think they win one of those. Maryland, Tulsa, Boston College, the beginning half of the season is actually kind of easy outside of maybe that trip to BC, with Temple’s old friend, Steve Addazio. If they can somehow get through that initial stretch and head out to the Navy game at 5-1, then I think they have a chance to weather the storm towards the end. They can definitely beat Navy. They’ve beaten Navy pretty regularly over the last couple of years. Cincinnati is down. It’s that UCF/Houston/USF stretch where, if they can win 2 of 3 or even 1 of those 3, then I think they’re definitely in the conversation for the conference title. They should beat Uconn again. If they get swept during that series, then it’s probably a season similar to last year, where they win 6-7 games, go to a bowl in Boca Raton, and maybe next year you take another jab at it. So that stretch is probably going to determine their entire outlook on the season, whether they’re hoisting a trophy as conference champion or if they’re just trying to build themselves up for a lesser bowl.
Crossing Broad: Last one; It really wasn’t long ago that Notre Dame was here, College Gameday was in town, this team was rocking and people were paying attention to college football in Philadelphia. Is that momentum still there, or did it leave with Matt Rhule? Can Temple reclaim some of that spark or are we just sort of back to having college ball play second-fiddle in a pro sports town?
Gauss: I think they had a little bit of lightning in a bottle that year. Things kind of worked out entirely in their favor. They beat Penn State to start the year. They start off 7-0 and they’re nationally ranked. They got the national game of the week against Notre Dame, and they should have beat Notre Dame if their walk-on safety didn’t take a bad route and allow a Will Fuller touchdown instead of intercepting the ball. That also coincided that week with the Eagles being on a bye, and people were kind of down on the Eagles that year and sort of waiting for Chip Kelly to get fired. Everything kind of built up to a point where people could rally around Temple. Do I think that’s the case right now, where they’re going to have two games of 70,000 people in the stands? No. Do I think there’s still some following in the city? Yeah, a lot more than 10 years ago. This will be my tenth season covering Temple, which is flabbergasting, and I vividly remember covering MAC games on Tuesdays with 3,200 people in the stands. Now they have a pretty loyal fan base. They’ll routinely get around 30,000 at games, which isn’t SEC, Big 12, Big 10 level, but it’s a solid football program.
You asked if I thought they lost momentum when Matt Rhule left. No, and I’m a big Matt Rhule guy, but I don’t think he was some irreplaceable coach. I think Geoff Collins has shown you can kind of maintain success with this program, assuming he has a good year or two and goes on to another program, that will be four straight coaches that were successful and went to BCS/Power 5 programs. I think there’s definitely a spot for Temple in the landscape of Philadelphia. I think they just to continue to do what they’re doing, which is recruit loyal guys, develop talent. They’ve put a bunch of guys into the NFL. As long as they keep doing that, (they’ll be good). There are entire generations of people that knew Temple as a commuter school and nobody cared about the football program. Now with 15,000 undergrads living on campus, they’re all there, they’re all coming down, it’s more ingrained in the culture. They get older and come back. I think Temple’s program is in a good spot, it’s just whether or not keep capitalizing on it. Right now, it seems like they’re on pace to do that.
Kyle Gauss is OwlScoop.com’s assistant editor.
I think things are looking up for the Owls. You’re coming back with a more experienced head coach and stability at the quarterback position. You’ve got skilled number ones at the running back and wide receiver position and enough defensive talent to compete in the AAC. Randall will go in the first or second round of the NFL draft.
The question for me is what kind of momentum Temple can build out of the gate. Kyle is right when he says that Temple team from a few years back captured attention right away with the home win against Penn State, which really did turn a lot of heads. Matt Rhule went and talked to every single media outlet in the city after that game and people certainly did focus on Temple football and paid attention to what was happening.
This season, they’re obviously going to be buried by the Eagles, Flyers, and Sixers in terms of market share (and maybe the Phillies if they turn it around), but a big win at Maryland or Boston College can go a long way toward turning some heads and earning back some of the lightning they bottled up back in 2015.
I think the first two games are pretty straightforward, but if they can beat at least one of those “BCS” teams on the road, then 8-4 or 9-3 is not out of the realm of possibility, depending on what happens with that USF home game. That’s the game that might end up determining second place in the American East, assuming that UCF continues to roll after the departure of head coach Scott Frost to Nebraska.
The worst case scenario would be another 6-6 campaign or 7-5 with a chance to get to 8-5 with a Frisco Bowl win over the MAC.
Still, it’s not unreasonable to think that this can squad can make a push for eight or nine wins and another postseason appearance.

Episode Two - “Tumblr Survivor Don’t Want Me To Live” - Julia
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A legend DIED today wtf. I miss Rhone and we weren’t even on the same tribe. I know last confession I was like oh Rhone didn’t vote for me in Themyscira he can go to tribal bye but NOW I feel HORRIBLE!!! He actually went home!!! I didn’t think he was gonna go home!!! Fuck!!!
Tumblr media
OMG WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT RHONE ALWAYS GETTING BAD PLACEMENTS !!! 1 rip my baby and 2 I’m a fucking fortune teller, future predictor, queen of the past and future castaway
Tumblr media
Rhone getting voted out? Fucking fantastic! One of the stronger vets coming into this, in my opinion, and also probably one of the only few people I didn't get to speak to, at length, during One World. Bye Bye Rhone!
Tumblr media
Okay so like bitch. I really am tryna not be a messy bitch already butttt Rebecka is being one so its triggering me to be one. Like girl i ain't got time for that bs. Not to mention she and Rhone wanted to flip on me? Good that their asses aren't a thing anymore lmao! But anyways, pray bc im tryna not be a mess

Thanks to my strategy, we dominated the first Immunity Challenge. When Optio realized that Fatum and Imperium had teamed up, it was too late for them to do anything about it. I'm not crying, though- the only person on that tribe I felt a connection with was Jake, and he survived Tribal. In addition to allowing us to win, my strategy revealed a lot of interesting information. For instance, before I could even mention working with Fatum specifically, Bryan had ALREADY begun talking to Emily about teaming up. https://imgur.com/cd5ebDW First of all, this shows me that Bryan feels very comfortable with Emily- who isn't even on our tribe- and also that Emily was playing me. Hard. From talking to Autumn and Chris, it sounds like she's dominating Fatum with her social game, and she tried to work her charm on the rest of us, too. Someone that manipulative is going to be dangerous down the road, and make it more likely that Bryan will flip on us when we swap. Autumn, Chris and I seem to be on the same page, and Chris and I are working on convincing Dane that Autumn is a non-entity so he'll be more open to her working with us. Dane thinks the trio is himself, Chris, and me, but in reality, he's the loose 4th number that I won't hesitate to cut if necessary. The working alliance name is Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. That's important. https://pictures.abebooks.com/isbn/9780671502904-us.jpg At this point, I feel pretty good about the way things are going. I've got a total cross-tribal bromance with Johnny going on (#FratBrosAlliance), a solid threesome-plus-one on my tribe, and it doesn't sound like Sam or Bryan have tried to form an alliance at all. They better pray we win immunity, because this game is heating up.

WOW OKAY. FIRST OF ALL....... Icon me getting an automatic bye in the semi finals of the reward challenge, by simply doing nothing, and then losing horrifically on my first go at the challenge. It's okay! I showed I'm a team player by not playing for the storyteller for next round, and our tribe didn't win anything for reward in particular, which didn't bother me at all, because that means that no one on our tribe looks particularly good, and we all are on a level playing ground, which is good strategically from my perspective. Now, heading into post reward challenge, which is the more ICONIQUE part of my night..... I go to search for the idol, and it's the first round, so very meh, the odds of finding ANYTHING are typically not in my favor... rt? NOT RIGHT!! NOT RIGHT AT ALL!!!!! [12/13/17, 11:11:39 PM] Owen (Crossroads Host): You open the book to the marked page. The prologue has ended, and you turn the page. “Chapter One,” it reads, “At Castle Crossroads.” Immediately, the world around you shifts. You find yourself standing in a dimly lit hallway. Lit torches line the walls, and surrounding you are two large doors. What would you like to do? You can… 1. Continue down the hall. 2. Take the left door. 3. Take the right door. 4. Take a torch from the wall. 5. Cry out for help. [12/13/17, 11:17:19 PM] ~~Johnny~~: hmm [12/13/17, 11:17:53 PM] ~~Johnny~~: I really wanna see what happens if I choose option Five [12/13/17, 11:18:03 PM] ~~Johnny~~: But the SMART version of Johnny is telling the dumb version of Johnny not to choose that option [12/13/17, 11:18:11 PM] Owen (Crossroads Host): do whatever you want :) [12/13/17, 11:18:17 PM] ~~Johnny~~: watch crying out for help mean an idol gets put in my hand [12/13/17, 11:18:18 PM] ~~Johnny~~: fuck it [12/13/17, 11:18:20 PM] ~~Johnny~~: it’s round one [12/13/17, 11:18:22 PM] ~~Johnny~~: it’s all luck [12/13/17, 11:18:25 PM] ~~Johnny~~: I’m gonna cry out for help [12/13/17, 11:18:44 PM] Owen (Crossroads Host): Your calls are soon answered by the most handsome man you have ever seen in your entire life! “Hi,” he says. “I’m Sir Nestor.” What’s your name? You introduce yourself, and he grabs your hand, shaking it firmly. “What did you come here for?” You have two options - profess your undying love for this beautiful man and claim to have come here to woo him and take his hand in marriage, or, try to play it cool and make him jealous, claiming you are here for the Ball, and a chance to meet the Prince. [12/13/17, 11:19:09 PM] ~~Johnny~~: oof [12/13/17, 11:19:20 PM] Owen (Crossroads Host): I know [12/13/17, 11:19:20 PM] ~~Johnny~~: one will probably mean that he grabs me tight and gives me an idol [12/13/17, 11:19:27 PM] Owen (Crossroads Host): that's what I said when I saw sir nestor too [12/13/17, 11:19:27 PM] ~~Johnny~~: Another would mean that if I play it cool, he might say fuck off [12/13/17, 11:19:48 PM] ~~Johnny~~: So I think the safer option is to profess my undying love for this beautiful man [12/13/17, 11:19:55 PM] ~~Johnny~~: as if anything that I’m saying makes any logical sense [12/13/17, 11:20:01 PM] Owen (Crossroads Host): gdgdfsgd [12/13/17, 11:20:03 PM] Owen (Crossroads Host): one sec [12/13/17, 11:21:02 PM] Owen (Crossroads Host): Sir Nestor is flattered. “I’m sorry, but my heart belongs to another,” he discloses. “But I owe you for the piece of your heart I have stolen.” He grabs your hand again and presses something small and wooden into it. “Take this for safe keeping.” He winks at you and walks away, into the darkness. [12/13/17, 11:21:19 PM] ~~Johnny~~: uhm [12/13/17, 11:21:21 PM] ~~Johnny~~: excuse me? [12/13/17, 11:22:55 PM] Owen (Crossroads Host): Sir Nestor has given you half of a hidden immunity idol! This half of Sir Nestor's heart can be combined with any other idol half to make a hidden immunity idol. These halves can be obtained in numerous ways - you will have to find them! [12/13/17, 11:23:03 PM] ~~Johnny~~: OMG [12/13/17, 11:23:04 PM] ~~Johnny~~: STFU [12/13/17, 11:23:07 PM] ~~Johnny~~: I found a half of one? [12/13/17, 11:23:09 PM] ~~Johnny~~: I’m dying LISTEN READERS!! I KNOW THAT'S A LOT TO READ, BUT FFS PLEASE READ WHAT JUST HAPPENED. I chose "Cry for Help" and "Profess undying love for strange man" and got half an idol! THIS IS FUCKING FANTASTIC!! Now... on a serious note. Having half an idol is huge for a lot of ways. For starters, I am definitely not telling anyone I have this half of an idol. I learned last season from my Steffen incident, and I know that there's no chance in hell I can share this information with anyone. I am, of course, going to try to go for the idol every single round, in hopes of finding the other half, but I now, more than ever, need to play a super strong social game, but not delve into strategy talk (Thanks Andrew for that piece of advice) and just keep it purely social, and let people bring up things like "I trust you" and "I get good vibes from you" so that way they can maybe feel more comfortable telling me about the idol. This gives me a lot of leverage early on in the game, and I'm pretty stoked, but I've gotta keep it cool. As for not participating in the immunity challenge. I see there being no upside to competing for several reasons. First off, I said over and over I'd compete if someone else wanted to sit out, which shows that I'm willing to compete, and also, if we win, I'm immune and didn't have to do much work for the challenge, meanwhile if we lose, there's likely going to be a member of our tribe who didn't do as much, and it's going to be easier to divert attention on that person. I'm thinking I'm safe if we lose, but I honestly don't believe my connections are as strong as they can be, so I'm going to really have to pick that up the best I can, but I do feel confident in my relationships with Ryan, Haley and John. I know Haley likes Emily, so that can maybe give me an in there. I see Nicole being first out of our tribe. She doesn't seem the most active, so I've got faith in that being the vote if we lose still. I know I keep talking about who I would vote over and over again in these confessionals, but it's always a thought in my head, and rightfully so, because eventually this game is going to pick up entirely, and it's going to be chaos.
Tumblr media
I have 2 scavenger hunts in 2 games this week and I just want rhone back what the actual FUCK I was so excited to meet/play with rhone
Anyone who disagrees with me on Hanukkah is racist CONFIRMED
Tumblr media
Not to be that bitch but if my tribe loses after I drank jelly, jam, maple syrup, and Olive Garden dressing all together I’m going to McFreakin lose it! Also I did 30/36 things? If my tribe doesn’t pull their weigh I’m going to scream. Like I’m screaming. Some of them are talking about only having like ten things done and I’m like ????????? WHAT
Tumblr media
Sooooo we lost the challenge, which is exactly what I was anticipating. I knew that this challenge was going to be one we were going to lose, because our tribe didn't give a half of a shit in terms of effort, and it kinda pisses me off, but now we're headed to tribal in the second round, and I think i'm partially ready for it. I knew that Ryan, John and Haley have all been pretty tight, and it should've been pretty simple in knowing that we were going to choose between Emily and Nicole, but then the LOVELY twist of the best scoring player from our tribe bringing a member from the winning tribe to tribal council is NOT bueno. Emily decided to bring over Bryan, which was an interesting choice. Honestly, I don't think Bryan being here or not being here will make an impact on tribal council, and I know the conversations I'm having right now with him are pussy footing around almost, and I'm trying not to make it seem too casual, because I can tell he's fed up with the small talk and wants to know what's happening with tribal council. APPARENTLY, according to Haley and John, is that Emily has admitted to both of them that she enjoys talking to Ned and Bryan more than she spoke to us, so like BUH BYE BITCH!! I tried to bring up the counter argument that Nicole is probably going to be detrimental in challenges when it comes to effort, compared to Emily, because Emily seems to care a lot more, but in a smaller cast, with an inevitable swap coming very soon, we can't keep around Emily, when she has way closer relationships on the other tribes, and we'll almost rather take a loss in a challenge with Nicole, than a few wins and bringing Emily into a swap, where she might screw us. On top of all of this, I know my social game couldn't possibly be as strong as it could be this time around, considering Emily didn't trust me with the information of her talking to other tribes more than us, which she did tell John and Haley, so this means I've really just gotta watch out and make sure my name isn't the name that is being brought up today for the potential vote from Emily. I think Nicole is going to be on board with voting with us too, to get rid of Emily, so I've gotta do a bit of talking to her today to make sure that Nicole feels some loyalty to me, and will feel closer to me after this vote, than hopefully the other people on our tribe, and then I've gotta talk to Emily and just make sure that my name isn't the name she plans on throwing out there. I think she's going to throw out Ryan's name, but who knows. Only in due time of tribal council will we find out.......
SOOOOOOOOO an alliance was made called the "The Stoners" which is actually my favorite alliance of all time, and I couldn't be happier with the title of it. The title alone just makes me want to trust them whole heartedly until the game is over. jkjkjk on a serious note NOW So the alliance is pretty damn perfect if you ask me. I have the three people I trust most in the game so far, and that's Ryan, John and Haley, and being in an alliance with them is good. I trust them, and I'm always pretty nervous going into a tribal council, but I do think we'll be fine this round, and I'm just going to try to make my name not come up at a tribal. My social game could be better, but i've gotta make it stronger with nicole and emily. AS FOR THE IDOL SEARCH THOUGH: Last time we spoke about my idol searches, I FOUND, check that out, FOUND half an idol on my first try, and I was like HOW DID I DO THAT WTF!! So then I decided to search again, and I ended up going down the main hall, and down the stairs, and I found a witch, and she asked me to play a game! [12/15/17, 9:51:18 PM] Owen (Crossroads Host): You walk down the stairs and find yourself in a dark, damp room - presumably the dungeon. You hear a noise up ahead - it seems to be a chain dragging along the ground. Cautiously, you walk ahead into the darkness, and come upon a jail cell. Inside is a tiny man dressed like a jester. “Hello,” he says, surprised to see you. “My name is Mervyn. I’ve been down here a while… Would you like to play a game?” [12/15/17, 9:54:47 PM] ~~Johnny~~: Hmmm [12/15/17, 9:54:54 PM] ~~Johnny~~: Do I have to say yes or no? [12/15/17, 9:55:18 PM] Owen (Crossroads Host): fkjadshjf yeah [12/15/17, 9:55:32 PM] ~~Johnny~~: Okay. I'll say yes [12/15/17, 9:56:08 PM] Owen (Crossroads Host): ok so here is what will happen [12/15/17, 9:56:15 PM] Owen (Crossroads Host): “Excellent!” Mervyn exclaims. “It’s been a long while since I’ve had some entertainment. Here is how this will work: I am hiding a coin in my left hand or right hand. If you can guess the correct hand three times in a row, you win! I’ll give you three attempts. Understood?” I lost the game, unfortunately, but IMAGINE if I won, it may have been the other half of that idol, and I would've been tripping my balls off, but I didn't find it, so I decided to try to gain some favor, and this may have been a HUGE mistake, but I get this feeling that this makes Haley, who is playing the game pretty hard, trust me more than she trusts John and Ryan. So I told her the exact path I took, and I told her that she had to play the game, try to win. I alsooooooo may or may not have decided to tell John too. I think this level of transparency that I can have with John and Haley this early is good. I'm definitely going to have to tell Ryan too, in hopes that one of them gets the half an idol, and tells me. At this point, I'm giving them a huge piece of information in this game, and I think they'll be thankful later, and maybe even secretly tell me that they found the other half of the idol that I'm looking for, that they don't know I have. I know this may be a flashback from Japan, but I've got a pretty decent vibe from these three, and at least knowing that Emily doesn't have it is just a step better than anything else, so I'll take that as a moral victory for now, and hope I'm the one who beats the game to get beyond the "Win."
Tumblr media
ummm so wow thank god we won this challenge i was so nervous with bran literally ghosting like the fuck??? so after tribal bran told me that he wanted to get close with rebecka, and ended up making a chat with me, him and her. and then the next day brandon made a chat with me, him, and julia. Lmfao king of being in the middle?? well maybe im boo boo the fool and don't know! but...I don't trust Rebecka? She literally just voted me. So Bran isn't thinking that much, plus he told me he doesn't trust Brandon, who literally saved my ass.,.,.ok. Brandon told me the TEA which is that Julia was talking to him A LOT about saving Rebecka if we lose. It seems like she's close with her, prob bc they're both girls and that worries me. Like this heaux literally tried to send my ass packing obv if she wanted to target someone it would be me again so she can get less blood on her hands. She worries me, she went HAM in the immunity obv to get back into our good graces, so I'm kinda nerv. Also bc if we survive to a tribe swap and end up on the same tribe she'd prob try to throw me under the bus so fast LMAO. I told Brandon that he was my ride or die, I trust him the most. I rly hope he doesn't try to fuck me over in the future. I'm also worried about the idol cus if everyone's being honest then me, Brandon, and Julia don't have it. If Becky has that gaddamn idol then im fuckd.
Tumblr media
YAYYYY, I’m so glad my tribe won the immunity challenge! We are really doing that! And Emily brought me over to her tribe for the vote! That’s awesome! I get to expand my social game too now and be more prepared if a tribe swap were to happen. The thing is. These people are so boring. I have not heard one fucking name the whole time I’ve been here. And I’ve literally been asking for one. They all say everyone is so nice. And they don’t wanna vote anyone off. Pft. Whatever AutumnI’m so blessed/ this tribe is amazing!!! It all came together and we did that. Also shoutout to Ned cause he killed it and wow what a lad #thatsmyally . Meanwhile I got into Athena All Stars so guess who gets to flop in yet ANOTHER scavenger hunt 🙃 I have neither the time nor the WiFi to pull off all these fucking photos and videos. I had 10 points worth of stuff that just never submitted because WiFi but I’m on Imperium sooo I’m nervous though because I feel like we’re literally the Healers tribe from Season 35 and I think we’re only gonna lose 1 person before merge, especially if we keep winning. Basically I need us to start losing so Opossum and Fart don’t take us out in the merge simply because we’re Impartial lol
Tumblr media
Okay so Ned, Chris, and I formed an alliance and I’m really happy because I need numbers so badly in this game. However, when I went on call with Ned I noticed he was very hesitant to talk game with Chris and I so I’m scared that he’s playing both sides. Also we’ve all been working together to map out the storybook but I feel like I’m the only one that actually gives them step by step instructions on what I did and it’s pissing me off because I really want to get an idol. Now, for the rest of the tribe. During the one world interactions and the first immunity challenge Bryan and Emily formed a bond and that’s why our tribes teamed up on Optio, but I’m starting to get real sketch about him since she also picked him to come over and view their tribal council. Whenever I talk to Bryan he’s so boring and I think it’s because he doesn’t think that I’m useful to his game and that he’s only going to be super friendly whenever he needs me. But with that being said if he feels comfortable on my tribe then he thinks he has the majority and thats why it ties back into Ned. I really think Ned and Bryan are low key working together but I’m not going to let my paranoia get the best of me in this game. I just have to really work on Autumn and get closer with Chris.
Tumblr media
Me when I’m about to get blindsided hard. Just an observation. omg if I got 17th I’d quit the community SORRY SORRY. Mini mental breakdown that i get from people not communicating with me and me just going all NFJKDLSNVJKDSFNJLKVSDNFJKLNSDVFJKLN Okay I’m having a good conversation with Emily. She won’t target me. cool tbh I’d rather Nicole go a bit now, but I don’t wanna sound indecisive in my confessional, or ruffle feathers with my tribemates, so I’m just going to go with this and hope for the best, even though I'm sounding pretty indecisive now. Rip Emily, she seems like she wants to be here pretty bad too. This is not what I wanted. Haley wanted this, and that little lady is playing very hard for a rookie, which is fine for me partly, but also a bit concerning because I don't want her to be in the position to just call the shots and me potentially be a shot she's calling, but I'm hoping for the best for the future and thinking this may be a decent move for me EEK IDK
Tumblr media
And the winning streak continues! The reward challenge was great. We decided to split the challenges with 3 of us playing for Storymaster and 3 playing for immunity advantage. I was put into the Storymaster challenge (Knight Moves) with Chris and Autumn, and our only competition was Julia... who left before the challenge even started. So we played amongst ourselves and had Alliance Bonding Time (TM), where Chris eventually won. Also, Bryan won the advantage for our immunity challenge, which we didn't really need because everyone put in a ton of work and we won in a landslide (even with Chris's disadvantage from the Storybook as well as him being sick all day). The alliances are going great. Chris and I have an alliance with Dane (called Wassup Homies) and one with Autumn (called Mystery Inc. I'm Fred, Chris is Shaggy, and Autumn is Daphne). Now Chris and I need to work on stealthily merging the two alliances into one, but it's looking like we're in a good spot at the moment. In addition, I found a challenge advantage in the Storybook, which Dane tried to convince me to play last night. Dude, try to make it a LITTLE less obvious when you want to flush my advantage, because now I'm not sure I can trust you. Dane, keep that hug *boop* for me. Cuz it wasn't real. http://oi53.tinypic.com/vg6kcn.jpg Now here's where Bryan screwed up. Again. Because Fauna lost immunity, the person on their tribe who scored the highest gets to kidnap someone from another tribe, where they will cast a vote but be immune. The winner of this advantage happened to be Emily, and it was no surprise who she chose: Bryan. https://media.giphy.com/media/xT0xeQ3Qqmf2ZZ9rQk/giphy.gif So Bryan's obviously going to get pulled into Emily's alliance, where he'll learn ALL about the relationships and goings-on at Faulty, which will set him up REAL nicely for a swap or merge. If he doesn't spill all the Faculty secrets as soon as he gets back to camp, I'm strongly considering throwing the next challenge to vote him out, because letting Bryan reach a swap is a risk I'm not willing to take. SamanthaI’m glad I’m on a tribe that keeps winning but that makes me nervous bc there is little strategy going on, and if we merge without having a tribal, we are fucked. I may be getting ahead of myself with the merge thing, but my tribe is kicking ass. I sat out of this comp though so I really can’t take much credit. I am nervous about how close Bryan and Emily are. Bryan was the one who talked to Emily about having our tribes work together and then she won a reward allowing her to borrow Bryan for their tribal. If they’re both around when we merge, that is definitely a duo to split. I also love Chris. We snap all the time and he’s so funny and kind! I think I want to work with him. And we were talking about people on the tribe and we both think autumn is on the bottom. I haven’t talked to autumn since the first night which is not good at all hahaha. I really like Ned, we have a lot in common. I didn’t realize that in our previous game, and I know I have Dane. We have been friends for so long. I think we can easily work together. Autumn and Bryan are the only ones I’m worried about, but overall I think theyre fine for now. I’m really interested to see what happens at tribal. I wonder how the other tribes see us. I know fantum probably hates us but oh well :) I want to do a lot of idol searching this game. I’m tired of never having idols, I get them so rarely, I’m determined this game.
Tumblr media
So Emily can't talk to me. She will ask John "how's Ryan doing in the challenge" etc etc all this shit. Like my PMs are OPEN. Haley and John both told me I was being targeted by Emily for tribal which idrc. Nicole said "I haven't heard anything" after we agreed to not vote each other and I think she's being a lil FAKER. But the stoner alliance of Haley/Me/John/Johnny should HOPEFULLY stick together and get Emily out....
Tumblr media
Yay we won woohoo im still fuckin pissed that bran failed to complete a single scavenger hunt number???? How did we not lose like whatever i can't I'm just glad I'm safe this week !!!
Tumblr media
At the beginning of the round Haley and I finally went on call and we really clicked once we were able to really talk to one another. One of the things she brought up was that if we lost she thinks Emily should go first because she had so many connections to the other tribes, which she has openly admitted to. She said she wanted an alliance with me and Ryan, and a few days later a chat was made with myself ryan Haley and Johnny. We lost by just a few points on the scavenger hunt which definitely stings a bit, but what is even worse is that Emily killed it for our tribe on that challenge. Haley immediately threw Emily's name out in our alliance chat, and everyone seems to think it's the best thing to do for us going forward. If we swap we don't know if Emily will be more loyal to us than to the others. Bryan being on the tribe makes it complicated as he is deff close with Emily. He's automatically taking her side and trying to get ryan to be the person voted out tonight. Nicole seems to be on the fence at this point, I can't tell what she wants to do. I really want to keep nicole close in this game as I love her but I'm worried she won't agree with this decision. I originally wanted to work with her and ryan together but will she vote out Emily? Who knows. A girls alliance was made by Emily once we lost the challenge, but nicole immediately told me about it. Haley then came to me as well. I feel like people trust me at this point and I don't want to lose that trust. I feel horrible about it but I feel like ryan and Haley are both better for my game going forward. It just stings cause I really like Emily too and would like to continue getting to know her. It's messy but hopefully whatever happens it happens smoothly.
Tumblr media
My confessing game is really low I’m sorry. So basically everyone was SKIRTIN around bringing up names and I just casually mentioned that I hadn’t spoken much to Ryan to Haley and she seemed to not be opposed to voting him. I did the same sort of thing to Johnny then he added onto that saying that Ryan is a WINNER and I was like ? Oh! LOL! I’m a winner too but not in a main so I guess it doesn’t count I’m gonna pretend like I’m scared of Ryan just so we’ll go for him and not me :0! And then I talked to Nicole and she also seemed good with voting Ryan and Nicole said she’d talk to John! So everything is good and if things go according to plan, Ryan will be the first boot of the Fatum tribe. I think people are already starting to um? Look at me like a leader? Or a threat? And I’m a bit nervous? But also, they can fear me all they want. Don’t vote me out because I’m big and scary!!! GRRR!!!

There goes Davis!
War Eagle everybody, and Happy Thanksgiving! Here’s hoping everyone is having a great day, today. I have to say, this has been a very fun week, thinking about this titanic Iron Bowl game coming up this Saturday. We always hope for the best in this game, but the last two years I realistically did not think Auburn had much chance to win. I tended to just try to occupy my mind with other things, during game week. This year, I’ve relished running scenarios on the game over and over, in my mind. I’ve watched a ton of youtubes of both teams. I can’t wait for Saturday, because this year, Auburn can win this thing.
Honestly, this is the matchup we want, in the Iron Bowl. It’s not as much fun one team or the other isn’t very good. Me, I hate it when Auburn’s ranked, and Alabama isn’t. We have lost a few of those, or struggled to a close win. This year, both teams are still in play for the SEC and national titles. It’s two heavyweights, going toe to toe to see who is the best. That’s the kind of Iron Bowl I want!
A lot has changed since I did my preview of this game back in August. Injuries have impacted both teams. I did not foresee Auburn’s slow offensive start, nor the special teams issues. I did not see Alabama building on the offense they had with Lane Kiffin. I expected regression. Instead, Alabama has been able to add to what they had, and have been scoring a LOT of points. I certainly did not see Auburn crushing Georgia!
Views on unit matchups, after the jump!
On the defensive line, Auburn needs to win like they have, every game this year. If Alabama is able win this battle, or even battle to a draw, Auburn is in trouble on defense. The good news is that Auburn’s defensive line has won the line of scrimmage decisively in every game Auburn has played this year, and should win again this year. Auburn must disrupt a fast, powerful Alabama running game, and pressure Jalen Hurts. Even if Auburn accomplished all of the above, this is still a dangerous offense to deal with.
Linebacker play concerns me, on the Auburn side. With Tre’ Matthews in the game, Auburn can usually slam the door on any team’s running game. Without him, Auburn has given up the occasional big play. Whether Matthews plays or not is a big deal.
Auburn has been very good this season at limiting the other team’s best receiver. Even Christian Kirk was limited this year, against Auburn. The Tigers will try to take Calvin Ridley away, this week. Can anyone else burn the Auburn secondary, and will Alabama try to get it to them? Can Auburn contain Ridley? He’s as fast as we’ve seen, at the receiver position. The good news here is that Auburn has been able to cover well at corner and nickel, as well as at the safety positions.
The punting games of the two respective schools is a scary matchup. Auburn will lose the field position battle badly, if we have those ugly 30 yard punts, this week. Alabama has the best punter in the nation, and routinely booms them over 50 yards. Auburn can’t give up a big return, either. So far, Auburn mostly fair catches, and luckily has not turned the ball over. We have had a disturbing trend towards seeing Auburn blockers get shoved into returner Stephen Roberts, while he’s trying to catch the punt.
Both teams tend to kick touchbacks, although Alabama will sometimes try to coffin-corner the ball, and limit the return. Auburn does have true freshman Noah Igbinoghene back there, AND hasn’t blocked kick returns well at all, this year. I’d expect Alabama to put some pressure on the Tide, in this department.
On place kicking, Auburn’s Daniel Carlson is 19 of 25 on field goals, while Alabama’s kickers are 16 of 22. Carlson has hit 59 touchbacks on 80 kickoffs. Alabama’s J. K. Scott has hit 41 touchbacks on 86 kickoffs.
The key matchup for the Auburn offense starts up front. Auburn must block Alabama’s front, and establish at least a little bit of a running game. When opposing teams like Clemson and LSU were able to shut Auburn’s run game down, Auburn then tended to get killed on sacks.
When Auburn runs the ball, I think Auburn may be able to create some confusion in the Alabama linebacker corps, due to injuries and youth. I have little doubt that Alabama has worked on Auburn’s packages for the past 2 weeks, though. And it’s worth noting that Alabama did a good job shutting down dangerous backs against Texas A&M and LSU.
A key to battles in the secondary is the health of All-World DB Minkah Fitzpatrick. He’s able to play any spot in the secondary very well, if he can run. And Alabama has really fast corner Anthony Averett, who will likely be matched up on Darius Slayton. Slayton has been able to run by most corners in recent games, while Jarrett Stidham just heaves it as far as he can. That’s worked for some big Auburn plays, but it likely won’t, against Averett. Auburn must instead try to scheme and try to create some coverage busts against less experienced guys like Hootie Jones or Tony Brown.
One bothersome thing in the Auburn receiving game is that Auburn is often limiting who they will throw the ball to in certain circumstances. We see Slayton mostly on deep balls. We see Ryan Davis on quick screens and slants. If Auburn is predictable on routes and where the ball is going, Alabama has the secondary to capitalize on that. Auburn must be a little unpredictable, here.
If I were calling Alabama’s defense, I’d run blitz on first down, bring 7 or 8 guys on 2nd and long, and rush 5 with a stunt on 3rd and long. When Jarrett Stidham has time to throw, he’s been deadly. Alabama cannot afford to give him that time. When Auburn has had to convert 3rd and long, the offense hasn’t been nearly as good. The only caveat to Alabama blitzes, is that in recent weeks, Auburn is starting to kill blitz packages on checkdown throws. Auburn’s screen game has come on, lately.
A big worry this week is quarterback Jarrett Stidham. He has progressed magnificently this year, but he has not seen a game with the intensity of an Iron Bowl. I’d feel much better if he was a second year starter and had played Bama before. What Auburn cannot have, and be successful is turnovers. Stidham must take care of the ball, above. Auburn has proved the past two seasons that their defense can keep them in an Iron Bowl. Gifting Alabama would definitely kill Auburn’s chances.
Here on Thanksgiving Day, I’m thankful for this Auburn Tiger team. Regardless of what happens in the Iron Bowl, this has been a very fun year gifted us by these Tigers! We’ll likely do no worse than a New Year’s Six bowl game, and might well win championships. I hope everyone has a great and thankful day. I’m gonna feast, then watch the egg bowl tonight, followed by some games and putting the Christmas Tree up tomorrow. Saturday, I’ll have our usual Open Thread up and running, and I plan to watch every second of this Iron Bowl. I’ll be at my keyboard for the usual play by play. War Eagle, and let’s smash Alabama!
