PAC: How Would a Tarot Reader Describe YOU to THEM?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pile One - Pressed Blue Flowers
:: Pile one, a tarot reader might tell your person that you are someone who has a lot of resilience, self-control and inner strength.
:: There are times you struggle with self-limiting thoughts. But you possess the strength to overcome them as well.
:: You do not let outside opinion get the better of you.
:: You are emotional and not ashamed of being seen as one. You are someone intuitive and in sync with your emotions.
:: You may like to have a good time with your friends. You may have two close friends you like to hang out with? Perhaps catch up over a few drinks?
:: You are not someone who tolerates nonsense, in spite of your emotional nature. You do not think twice before severing ties with people who are pulling you down.
:: You may be in your masculine energy right now. It seems you are trying to protect your heart. You may come across as cold and calculating at this time.
:: Energy - Air and Fire.
Tumblr media
Pile Two - Blue Seashell Teapot
:: Pile two, a tarot reader would tell your person you are someone who is very regal, well-dressed - someone who likes to splurge, like to buy new shoes?
:: You are private. Someone others tip-toe around for some reason? You may also be in the position of authority, because I see people respect and look up to you. If not, you are someone who exudes an air of authority.
:: You are just and loyal, maybe someone obsessed with doing the right thing.
:: You stand on your business, you are extremely resolute. Once you make up your mind, there is no changing it.
:: You are hard-working. Currently very career focused. If you are a student, maybe your goal is to reach the top of your field - get a PhD perhaps?
:: You are a starter - you take the first step. You maybe starting or hoping to start on a new venture - business, school, etc.
:: You may be their partner - in love and/or business :)
:: Energy - Mostly Fire with a hint of Air and Earth.
Tumblr media
Pile Three - Pressed Single Blue Flower
:: Pile three, a tarot reader would tell your person that you are resourceful and highly intuitive. You are abundant materially or working very hard towards it.
:: Whatever you touch turns to gold. You are destined to live a life of opulence.
:: You are financially responsible. I see someone putting down money for emergencies.
:: You are nurturing and may hope to have a family someday. But you may hide that side of your self?
:: I also see someone suffering from compassion fatigue. Someone who has distanced themselves from the people around them because they are tired.
:: You may suffer from self-limiting beliefs at times. I see depressive episodes and feelings of isolation. You maybe someone who self-isolates when they are upset.
:: Sometimes you may cater to others' emotional needs but forget to look after yourself. Alternatively, you may suffer from tunnel vision, pour everything into one aspect of your life and neglect the rest.
:: Energy - Earth, Air, and Water.

What do the cards have in-store
Ichigo x tarot card reader
Ichigo returned from another day of training, a little worn down but keeping his usual determined expression. Y/N was sitting cross-legged on the floor, her Tarot deck spread out before her.
She glanced up and smiled. "Rough day?"
Ichigo shrugged. "Same as usual. Just gotta keep pushing forward." He looked at the cards with a hint of skepticism. "Still doing your card stuff, huh?"
Y/N chuckled softly. "My card stuff has its own insights, you know. Besides, these cards called for you today."
Ichigo raised an eyebrow, crossing his arms. "Oh, really? What do they have to say about me, then?"
She carefully drew a card and revealed The Tower. The artwork depicted lightning striking a tall structure, sending people falling from the top.
Ichigo frowned. "That doesn’t look like good news."
"It's not always as bad as it seems," Y/N replied, meeting his gaze. "The Tower means a big change, something that might feel like everything is falling apart. But sometimes you need that shake-up to rebuild something stronger. You've been pushing yourself too hard. This could be a reminder to slow down, let things settle."
He sighed. "Easy for you to say. I don't exactly have the luxury of slowing down."
She looked at him with a knowing smile. "I know, but you don’t have to do everything alone. You have people who care about you. Lean on them a bit more, Ichigo."
Ichigo looked away, his cheeks tinged pink. "Yeah, yeah. I get it," he mumbled, feeling a little flustered.
Seeing his reaction, Y/N drew another card, revealing The Strength card. She held it up with a soft smile. "See this? This one’s all about inner strength and patience. That’s you, Ichigo. No matter what happens, remember you’re stronger than you think—not just because of your powers, but because of your heart."
Ichigo softened, nodding. "You always know just what to say, huh?"
Y/N laughed. "Not exactly. I just read the cards, and they tell me the rest. And maybe… I pay attention to you."
He couldn’t help but smile a little. "Fine. I’ll try to take it easy—for you, at least."
She laughed again, a sound that felt like home to him. "That's all I ask. And remember, if you ever want more insight, I’m always here."
With that, she tucked the cards back into her deck, looking up at him with a soft smile that Ichigo knew would stay in his mind long after the day’s battles were over.
Ichigo watched as Y/N carefully gathered her Tarot cards, her hands gentle and precise, as if each card held some kind of magic he couldn’t quite understand. He’d never been much of a believer in things he couldn’t see, but there was something about the way she treated those cards—and the way she looked at him—that made him believe, just a little, in the power she held.
“Thanks,” he murmured, the usual roughness in his voice softened. “For, you know… everything.”
Y/N paused, looking up at him with that warm, knowing smile she seemed to reserve just for him. "You don’t have to thank me, Ichigo. I’d be here for you no matter what."
He shifted awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. “Still, I… don’t know how I’d get through half of this without you.”
Y/N stepped closer, her fingers brushing his hand. “Then don’t try. I’m not going anywhere.”
Ichigo felt his heart beat a little faster. He was used to throwing himself into battle without hesitation, but here, with her this close, his usual confidence faltered. Slowly, he reached for her hand, his fingers intertwining with hers.
“I mean it,” he said softly, his voice just above a whisper. “You’re important to me. More than just… helping me with all this Soul Reaper stuff.”
She smiled, her cheeks flushing as she stepped even closer. “You’re important to me too, Ichigo.”
And then, without another word, Ichigo closed the small space between them, leaning in to press his lips softly to hers. The kiss was gentle, filled with a warmth and sweetness that neither of them needed to speak aloud. In that moment, all the battles and struggles faded away, leaving only the two of them, together in the quiet.
As they pulled back, Y/N’s eyes sparkled, her smile tender. “Looks like my cards were right,” she murmured with a soft laugh.
Ichigo chuckled, rolling his eyes but smiling. “Fine. Maybe they’re not all that bad.”
He wrapped an arm around her, holding her close, and in that rare, peaceful moment, Ichigo knew that as long as he had Y/N by his side, he could face anything the world—or the spirit realm—threw at him.
Thank you for reading! If you have any ideas throw them at me!

Hello dear milkykitway ...
Is it possible if Jung Wooyoung from Ateez in a relationship ? Or at the very least how is his love life right now, and what was/ were his past relationship/ relationships like ?
Asking coz he's lost an unhealthy amount of weight and he's keeping up fine but just wanted if you could see whether worries in his love life or something is what's impacting this drastic weight loss ( coz in a previous reading done by another tarot reader they hadn't mentioned the name but had said that one of the Ateez members past relationship has impacted them emotionally in a negative way ... so with everything happening right now I thought it could be him )...
Their next world tour is around the corner and all ...
Hope whatever relationship he is in or was in was and will be healthy for him ... Wishing the same for every kpop idol and person out there...
Ciao and good day ...
Wooyoung Ateez love life
Nine of Cups reversed, King of Pentacles, Hanged Man, The Sun, Page of Swords, Seven of Swords, Magician reversed, Nine of Wands, Nine of Pentacles reversed, Ace of Cups
Right now, it doesn’t really look like Wooyoung is in a relationship. He’s feeling a bit emotionally off or not fully satisfied when it comes to love. His energy feels more focused on himself — building stability, staying grounded, and probably putting a lot of time into his work and personal goals(King of pentacles). He’s in a bit of a “pause” mode romantically, not in a rush, just taking his time and figuring things out at his own pace.
Emotionally, there’s a bit of caution around him. He might be carrying some past experiences that made him more guarded or hesitant to open up too quickly. It feels like he’s protecting his space and being mindful about who he lets in.Underneath that, there’s definitely some vulnerability — maybe even a sense of being stuck or a little frustrated when it comes to love, like things aren’t quite moving yet.The good thing is, The Sun brings light and warmth into his energy — like he’s staying positive, even if love isn’t his main focus right now.
That said, there is a spark of hope for something new. The Ace of Cups hint that when he’s ready, there’s potential for a real emotional connection — something genuine and refreshing. Just not something he’s fully in yet.
So yeah, no relationship for now, but he’s laying the groundwork for one in the future. He’s doing the inner work, and when the time’s right, a meaningful connection could definitely come his way.

Tarot for Taurus - Unexplained
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reading for October 25, 2024, but please remember that time in Tarot is fluid.
This reading is for all Taurus placements: Sun, Moon, Venus, and/or Ascendant.
This is likely the longest zodiac reading I’ve done here so far, but the cards were practically jumping out of the deck on their own.
If this reading resonates with you and you’d like to book a private session, feel free to PM me:) Private readings are not free, but the price is negotiable. Most of the time, when I do free private reading this is for my family or for those closest to me - these are my rules and most other tarot readers have similar policies.
Unexplained Issue: Reversed 10 of Pentacles + Reversed 4 of Swords + Reversed Hermit + Reversed 3 of Wands + 5 of Wands + 6 of Swords
The reversed Hermit suggests that you’re feeling lonely and it’s the painful kind of loneliness. Reversed 10 of Pentacles – you’re distancing yourself from someone important to you, indicating the breakdown of a relationship that once felt so solid. Reversed 4 of Swords shows that you’ve passively accepted this. Reversed 3 of Wands reveals why you feel this way – third parties influenced this relationship, causing you deep hurt. 5 of Wands suggests that you were forced into competing for someone’s attention (a blow to Taurus pride). 6 of Swords shows that, as a result, you began to lose this person. You felt longing, but now you just want to venture far away from it all. Sad, indeed.
I’d add that the Hermit points out that you experienced all this silently, emotionally withdrawing. You feel betrayed. You didn’t want this distance, but circumstances forced it. The Hermit, then, symbolizes your approach, while The Fool represents that important person in your life who, like The Fool, repeats the same patterns, is self-centered, and good at manipulation.
I asked about The Fool’s attitude toward the situation: Reversed 7 of Pentacles + Reversed Queen of Wands
In one of the images, you see the spotted cat (The Fool) looking back at the cloaked figure (the Hermit), who is walking away in the opposite direction. He does care, after all. The reversed 7 of Pentacles suggests that he waited for you to take the initiative, but it wasn’t the right moment for him to form a relationship. So, I asked, “Why not?” The cards answered: Queen of Cups + The Emperor + Ace of Pentacles + Reversed 8 of Cups.
The Emperor indicates he wanted to present a mature image (though ironically, he’s also embodied by the reversed Fool!). He now has other obligations and is in another relationship. The Ace hints that he has a chance to start fresh with someone else, but the reversed 8 of Cups shows he’s not ready for this new chapter… yet he’s not conflicted. He wants to keep everything for himself. The reversed Queen of Wands reveals that he’s possessive of you, wanting to keep you close, but without offering the same in return.
Hidden causes of the issue: Judgement + Reversed Hanged Man
Llittle hope for a fresh start in this relationship... though the reversed Hanged Man suggests someone’s perspective on this is distorted. Judgement is upright, showing a new beginning was possible. But look left to see how far this has gone. And below, there you are, wandering in the darkness.
Obvious yet misunderstood causes of the problem for Taurus: 4 of Cups + Reversed 3 of Swords + The Moon
This person feared you would hurt him again. The Moon shows he buried this deep in his subconscious, even from himself.
What requires your attention: Reversed 10 of Cups + Reversed 3 of Pentacles
You need to acknowledge that there is a mutual misunderstanding, yet external circumstances currently prevent communication.
What you can ignore or skip over: Page of Cups + 9 of Wands + Ace of Wands
You’ve gone through an emotional ordeal, so protect your feelings and your inner self. The Page of Cups is fragile. The cards advise you to view this distance as a fresh beginning.
The lesson of this experience: Reversed Death + 5 of Cups + Reversed Justice
Try not to dwell on losses. Yes, I can see you are doing this (5 of Cups). I asked why you shouldn’t dwell on losses, and the reversed King of Cups replied – because resentment isn’t what you truly feel. So what does Taurus actually feel? Reversed Devil + 9 of Pentacles: there was so much pain, but within you lies acceptance and liberation – just like on that card where the cat drifts on calm waters.
What you’ve gained and will be able to use later: Reversed Wheel of Fortune + 5 of Swords
This was a battle for affection, but you, Taurus, chose to fight for yourself. No love should place you in a position like the one described in this reading.
Reversed King of Wands + 2 of Swords – this situation taught you not to accept the status quo when someone important to you is torn between you and someone else – you now understand your own worth and the strength with which you are capable of loving.
Future: 2 of Pentacles + 10 of Swords + Page of Swords + Knight of Swords + High Priestess
Because of your own caution, you’ll make a choice that will cause this person pain. Perhaps even the fact alone that you no longer trust him will hurt him. The Knight suggests a conversation is coming.

This is an interesting post to write. My love of writing, my love of Tarot, my cynical desire to attract Tarot clients with the blog and socials and my sincere admiration and enthusiasm for the Alleyman Tarot, Oracle and Podcast are all crashing into each other right now. In his YouTube posts for the original Alleyman Tarot deck,  Mr. Asmund hinted at  vision of the deck creator, card artists, Tarot readers and Tarot clients all being a part of ephemeral, ethereal, muse-like  collective I that co-creates the giving of messages and spiritual learning. My hope is to contribute. My impulse is to boost the signal in whatever small way I can. I don't want to take inadvertent advantage of their work and popularity. In the spirit of full disclosures, I feel compelled to take the usual detour to tell you that this isn't a paid promotion, nothing was provided by Publishing Goblin except their kind permission to use these materials in my blogging and social media. I want to be a good member of the "Alleyfolk" so please, visit publishinggoblin.com and be sure to read the artist credits in the guidebooks if you can. Sometimes I get in the flow of reading and forget the rigorous details. According to the dice guidebook, the artist for today's Lord Card is by Czarfunkle. There are  parallels between the oracle dice and Tarot cards. After we chose 7 of the 22 dice to use as a learning exercise, we looked at one individual side or face on each die. That single-face level felt very analogous to a single Tarot card. Each die has a name and theme. Additionally each die has an accompanying "Lord Card" that symbolizes the die's guide and guardian. Those of you who have worked with your spirit guides might get a little of that vibe as we explore the oracle dice at the name and lord card level. The dice name and lord card resonates with the suit or arcana level meanings in a Tarot reading as I see it. Today is the Alley die. We first looked at its single face, "scavenge." Now we broaden the focus to include its card, The Alleyman. At both levels, I've found a lot of overlap between the dice and Tarot cards. Seven Dane Asmund is clearly a very skilled Tarot reader and deck creator, but it doesn't feel like that is a direct influence as much as both Tarot and the oracle dice look at the same grand truisms and core human experiences. As the energy looks today, this card / die combo resonates with a blend of the Queen of Cups, the Queen of Swords and the Emperor with a sprinkle of the World card for good measure. "The Alleyman doesn't exist...He exists to be the bogeyman of your uncertainty."The Alleyman card and die challenge us to recognize our own deep competence when it comes to setting our own path.  The Queen of cups is about finding our own deep inner wisdom and knowing. The Queen of Swords teaches us to accept and own our power. The Emperor teaches us to use that inner wisdom and self-acceptance with confidence. The energy of the Alleyman Lord card resonantes with the energy of the Alleyman's Tarot deck and feels like an extension of that lore. From the moment I learned about it, I thought the Alleyman's Tarot was to Tarot readers what a Stradivarius is to violin players. This comparison draws a little bit on  intangibles like 'star power' and 'stage presence' and thus draws on the qualities of the two queens and Emperor. If a performer expect an instrument's quality to make or break their performance, they give away their power, their part in the process. A poor player can make a rare violin sound mediocre. By the same token, a player who puts their best self into the performance will touch the audience's heart with any instrument.  A master player can give a virtuoso performance on a toy instrument. Give a Stradivarius to someone like Itzhak Perlman and magic happens. Inner wisdom, power and confidence alignt with outer circumstance to make something greater than the sum of the parts. The same is true of Tarot and oracle readings. If you surrender your power to the cards or dice, the guidance is mediocre. If you surrender your part in the reading, even if the professional you consult is the best on Earth, the impact on your well being is limited. Own your part in creating your own fate and you can get an excellent reading with a pack of playing cards from the corner dollar store. The Alleyman...the right message for you...will find you one way or another. This is where the World Tarot card comes in. All is one. We are part of the greater cosmos. Just as in the Alleyman's podcast backstory those who encounter the deck and the alleyman co-create the reading and the experience. Our individual deep wisdom and knowing is as valid for ourselves and our place within the universe as anyone else's insight. More so.Relying on a stranger's advice or predictions is like relying on the instrument to make or break the performance.  Taking that advice or insight under consideration but ultimately, relying on your own wisdom is the virtuoso performance.Learning, growing, getting guidance from a metaphoric shadowy alley man when you need it - that is how you become part of this artist's collective that we call life.Thank you for reading along! I hope you will follow this blog and check out PublishingGoblin.com to learn more.See you at the next sip!via Learn With Me: Meet the Alleyman)

34. Jörmungandr (Cycles)
Interpretation:
Gunil is a generous and passionate kisser and at the same time he always keeps his partner in mind. He’s not greedy, possessive or seeking his own satisfaction first. Gunil’s kisses are creative and like from another realm. They ignite flames of passion in his partner. Gunil is an active and restless kisser, he’s likely to change angles, pace and pressure often in order to catch his partner off guard and make a life changing impact. He might even jump at his lover and start kissing them out of pure enjoyment.
Gunil is one expert kisser - enthusiastic, bright, overwhelming. His kisses are warm and comforting, he’s likely to embrace his partner, hold them close to him giving the very needed support for them to hold onto when their knees grow weak. His embrace is secure and lovely but Gunil doesn’t cage or imprison his partner. He might become a bit competitive when kissing, seeking for all the weak and sweet spots of his lover intentionally and in order to “defeat” them in the art of kissing. To surrender surely feels good in this case.
Gunil loves women. Not only in a romantic sense. He feels a sweet and tender bond with them, an inner closeness. Gunil respects and likes them in the purest form. Gunil is likely to reflect it in his kisses. While he’s the active one, the initiator, and he’s an avid kisser, when his partner hints they would like to take the reins, Gunil picks the hint up instantly and gives his control up. He’s more than excited to learn, to explore, to try new sensations.
Gunil’s kisses come like waves - with changing intensity but with inevitably certainty. Some kisses are deep and overwhelming, some lure and build the tension up, some are sweet and reassuring. Gunil has excellent instincts and a sense for great timing. He goes with the mood, follows the flow and sweeps his lover off their feet. He can steal their breath away at a perfect moment.

Tarot, and I won't restrict fate too much with a specific question
Ashes to Stars || -
@corinnebaileyrp, @morgansmornings {for reference}
Once she and Cory have finished, Beth collects her cards and shuffles them idly. She passes each one over the elements: over a cup of moonwater, over candle flame, over salt, breathes on them in such a way as to appear to blow on them; water, fire, earth and air. She explains it’s a ritual cleansing for both cards and reader so residual energy from one doesn’t bleed into the other, much like Tabby wouldn’t use the same cocktail shaker to make a vodka soda and a tequila sunrise. Jay laughs at her and Beth returns the jibe with a tongue sticking out. There is nothing mean spirited in this space, and Beh wonders briefly why they don’t all hang out together more as a group. When she’s done cleansing the deck and when Tabby’s done shuffling, Beth resets herself. The deck is cut and reassembled and while Tabs just heard her explain each card to Cory, Beth still goes over the basics, as is only polite. “So first card, dis one is you or ya current situation, wha’ was on ya mind. Page of Wands. In a general context, he represent good news dat should be comin’ ya way soon. It may take form of lettahs, phone calls, or word’a mout’. It could also mean bein’ inspired or makin’ new an’ excitin’ plans, bein’ all creative. T’inking big an’ findin’ some kine you can be passionate about. You’ve got da kine… a tendency t’ rush into new stuff but dat’s not really such a bad sign. Means ya let ya inner child out an ya a fun, playful person.” She lays the next card down with her own cheeky smile. A disembodied arm appearing from a cloud in an otherwise perfect sky, bearing aloft Excalibur or some other sword by the hilt while the point is circled by a crown draped with holly and ivy. “Positive forces an’ assets in ya favour are represented by da Ace of Swords. Ya enterin’ a cycle of renewal cause dis one means new ideas, new beginnings, new projects, plans an’ breakt’roughs. It also means intellectual ability, mental clarity, clear t’inking, an’ da power t’ concentrate. Dis is da minor arcana of communication, vision, force, focus, an’ intensity. It speaks of you makin’ choices an’ decisions, bein’ assertive in dem, an’ says mebbe da good news might be in relation to one legal matter or contracts, lettahs dat come for ya benefit. Now, keep in mind, if ya need da advice of a good lawyah…” Jay throws an ice-cube and it lands exactly, miraculously, in Beth’s diminutive cleavage causing her to shudder and bite back a screech before fishing it out and dropping it in one of Andy’s ashtrays. The other woman glances at Tabby with a smug grin and a ‘she’s not wrong, though. I would, for you, kid.’
Beth proceeds to the third card. “So ya beddah angels say… Page of Cups. Da bringer of messages, happy news, important information, invitations to social events, gossip or potential for romantic proposal. Dey tell ya not to take da kine so seriously, embrace ya fun an’ frivolous side of life. It can represent beauty, fashion, glamour an’ style. In oddah words, maybe we should all plan a shoppin’ trip, each one of us pickin’ out an outfit for each oddah. All on me, because dat sounds fun. But for real, dis card also means comin’ into an emotional maturity dat allow you t’ be compassionate, kind, helpful, loyal. Romantically it might hint a’ one secret admirer, or workwise might be a new job offah, so keep ya eyes an’ mind an’ heart open.” She waggles her brows as she selects the fourth card. “Seven of Pentacles represents ya crown, ya past events and influences ya in ya current state. I see here dat bounty came from da patience ya use an’ ya own ingenuity. Meanin’ ya work really hard an’ now it startin’ t’ pay off. Da kine you’ve sown is finally comin’ to fruition an you can expect results to appear, not just in da world but in dis reading, too. I’m gettin’ a sense dat ya felt like you been pushin’ at a task or situation an’ felt like ya nevah gettin’ anywhere, but dis card says it’s been a slow growth. Now ya at a crossroads, and should take da path ya find most rewardin’. “Next one?” She flips it over. And sees the first potential upset, even if it’s only in Tabby’s sleeping self. “Preoccupations of ya subconscious… an’ emotional undercurrent. Is Page of Swords, reversed. Tells me ya got a lack of inspiration or ideas lately, dat ya been feelin’ defensive an’ cynical, sometimes havin’ cold or vindictive t’oughts. I see ya been havin’ a feelin’ dat ya lackin’ in communication skills, an’ so dis card is tryin’ to warn ya about how ya interaction’ wit’ people in ya life. Where you believe ya bein’ trut’ful an’ direct, it comes across blunt or abrasive. Maybe some gossip at work, maybe a bad sort of element been hanging around, an’ ya worried about bein’ manipulated.” She doesn’t really like the energy of the card and moves on quickly. “Ya relationship wi’ oddahs comes t’rough da Wheel of Fortune. Which here take to mean wi’ dem, you’ll wheddah some changes, an’ dey will help make any rough patches smoo’ve. Changes dat are, ultimately, for da greater good an’ will carry ya toward a specific goal ya got, or a more general destiny. Focus ya intentions, make sure what ya want, an’ know dat da Universe has a plan for you even if its not clear in da moment. All ya kindness will be repaid in da fullness of time, an’ maybe ya gonna meet new people, find yaself in a new an’ welcomin’ place.” She scootches the cards over just a touch and starts the column to the right. The card she turns over is The Moon, reversed. For a moment, Beth reaches across the table and gives Tabby’s hand a reassuring squeeze. When she lets go, she takes a sip of her midnight margarita. “Ya headspace, an’ ya self reflection, da you dat makes ya *you* is bein’ represented by da Moon, an’ it’s not exactly good or bad heah. Says…you should be releasin’ ya fears, or cleansin’ ya negative energy. Dat deres some secrets or lies about to be or recently exposed which is cousin’ ya some serious anxiety. Dat should subside soon. If you’ve lost da kine, den you’re sure to find it. It can also indicate self-deception or delusions, like mebbe kiddin’ yaself about your role in current circumstance, or mebbe ya been struggling wi’ ya mental healt’. A feelin’ of depression could also be drawn from dis, but indicating dat it’s gonna lift soon, let ya feel more yaself.” Beth makes momentary eye-contact, a silent indication that she knows this feeling like she knows Andy’s favourite sweater draped over her shoulders, and that if Tabby wants to talk about it, Beth will listen with every ounce of her being. “Ya nex’ card,” she says as she turns it over, “Is ya environment and da unseen forces influencing ya righ’ now. Fortunately, it’s Temperance. It signifies balance, peace, patience and moderation. It tells me ya found ya inner clam and have a good perspective. It signifies dat da relationships in ya life are harmonious ones. Ya learn nevah to allow yaself to be dragged into someone else’s conflict or let minor issues know ya off balance. Instead ya adapt t’ situations wi’ clear mind, and calm heart. Your environment is now one of tranquillity an’ contentment. I admire dat ya finally in touch wi’ who ya are inside, wha’ ya value, an’ all da points of ya moral compass are firm.” She pulls the second to the last card, glances at it for a couple of seconds, then takes another swig of her drink, this one taking the contents down by half. There’s something about the whole silent process that screams how they really need to talk later, in private. “In ya hope an’ fears position, ya got da Emperor, reversed. I see an oldah man, a person in aut’ority anyway in ya life who abuses his power an’ leavin’ ya bot’ powerless an’ rebellious. Dis man may actually be tryin’ t’ give ya solid guidance but da message is lost because of cruel an’ domineerin’ behaviour. His shadow still falls ovah ya but hope says nevah be afraid t’ stand up to aut’ority but do it in a practical an’ logical manner which will give ya da results ya wan. On da oddah hand, he can represent one faddah figure who let you down or abandon you. Maybe it tryin’ t’ say… dat all fat fear is in da past, an’ it’s presence has no place in ya future.” The final card feels like an odd duck, but then most of Tabby’s reading has felt that way. “An’ so…da last one, fittin’ or not, is Judgement. In dis reading, I’m gonna say it’s an indication dat you achieved a level of clarity an’ composure dat allows ya to calmly evaluate yaself an’ ya choices in order to make ya best decisions. Ya come t’rough ya past karma lessons wi’ increased self-awareness an’ ya finally allowin’ healin’ to take place so you can move forward in a positive direction. I also t’ink dat maybe ya been separated from someone ya love by da Sea, an’ da good news ya waitin’ for is a reunion too long in da making. Or mebbe ya feelin’ homesick an’ we all need f’ take roadtrip. Howevah ya choose t’ take my readin’, ya know we all got ya back. An’ sometimes ya side. An’ Panda probably got ya tops an’ bottoms too but he not invited.”

June 18th, 1978
After Severus left your classroom in a huff, you sighed, turning your gaze over to the indentation he had left in the pit. He had forgotten his book. You pulled yourself up from your chair and crossed the room to the fortress of pillows, gingerly picking up the discarded item. The book opened naturally to an outlined message, the words smudged from constant touch. Several pages were folded into the shape of a heart with notes written hastily into the inner margins. Curious, you squinted your eyes trying to read the blotched and scribbled writing in the inner corner of the book. Your face flushed, immediately snapping the book shut and holding it farther away from you.
After a moment of collecting yourself, you stared down at the cover of his book. It was an outdated divination book, one he must have gotten from a secondhand book shop for next to nothing. ‘But then again,’ you thought to yourself, ‘all of divination is quite outdated.” You scratched your scalp.
In your syllabus and throughout the first week of classes, you had expressed that there was no need for any of your students to buy the books. You didn’t require any of your students to purchase divination books, as most of the lessons you taught were hands-on anyway and the books were frankly full of rubbish. Tracing a finger over the worn-out cover, you smiled softly to yourself. Severus was an excellent listener--it couldn’t have been a mishearing--he must have taken an interest in the subject to go out of his way to purchase a divination book.
‘Or in you.’ The words floated in your head, reminding you of the notes you had just seen scratched into the book still in your hands.
You sighed, laying in the pit. It was still warm from where Severus had been resting, and you caught a hint of the scent of pine and lavender that would tend to cling to him. You opened the book once more, flipping through the notes he had written.
“That dunderhead Potter wasn’t paying attention to the lesson on Ichthyomancy. He got slapped by the fish we were working with today-”
You laughed, remembering the giant trout that smacked James Potter’s face last week when he decided to mess with it during your lesson after your instruction not to. “You deserved it, Potter,” you laughed, causing other students to follow your footsteps. You said it then and you’d say it again now.
“-It was pretty great, even the professor laughed at him. She has a cute laugh.”
As your eyes traveled further down the page, seeing what Severus thought of your laugh made it halt in your throat. Your cheeks burned as you continued to read the comments he wrote. The majority of all of the writing was about divination class- most of them were notes he had written from the lectures. You allowed yourself to have a new teacher’s proud grin, seeing that he was getting a lot out of your lessons. But as you kept turning pages, you found yourself appearing in the margins more and more. Not all of the words were about you, but many of them mentioned you in some way or another.
‘I told her I had taken quite a liking to ferns. The next week she waved me over after class with a huge smile on her face. She looked so excited. She gave me a tiny fern plant whose sparse fronds had yet to unfurl.’
Next to the note was a small doodle of a baby fern. You grinned, it was the cutest drawing you’ve ever seen.
‘She tutored me after class today. She told me to “keep up the good work” and hugged me afterward.’
You nodded, glad to help your students feel more confident in their abilities and glad that Severus Snape was one of them.
‘She baked us biscuits because we all got high marks on the test last week. They tasted good.’
You smiled, happy to know your students liked your gifts. For every test they aced, you would give your students biscuits as a reward. You figured the upperclassmen deserved a treat every now and then, as they’re usually stressing about the OWLs and their NEWT classes.
‘She has pretty eyes.’
Your smile faded. You had to read that line again. You adjusted the book in your hands, moving one hand to your temple. Were you reading that right?
‘She held me while I cried. It was all I’ve ever wanted. I want her to hold me again.’
‘She doesn’t want to tell me about who she saw that night. But, she didn’t ask me about the werewolf. So I guess I’ll stop asking her. For now.’
That night a boggart was in your classroom. You bit your index nail, images of your boggart pressing into your mind. With all that had been happening lately, you didn’t even realize he had stopped asking you but you instantly felt gratitude blossom in your chest. You read the past two notes again, feeling regret at the way you handled the situation. You wished you had been harsher. Any other teacher wouldn’t have given in to his demands. But he wasn’t just your student--he was your old friend.
‘Her hands are soft.’
Was he just your friend? Your heart thumped, wondering if he only thought of you as his friend, also.
‘I like her plants. She’s got a bunch all over the classroom. Whenever I ask her about one, she gets so excited and tells me all she can about it. I already knew most of it, but I haven’t the heart to interrupt her. I like when she gets passionate about something, and the way she rambles about plants is cute.’
The note was surrounded by small drawings of the plants around your classroom. You stroked the ink outlines of the leaves with an appreciative grin. He was rather talented.
‘She’s so cute when she’s setting something on fire.’
Despite the flush on your cheeks, you chuckled a bit. Divination allowed you to set a lot of things on fire, and sometimes you seemed just a bit too eager. ‘So are you,’ you murmured, thinking of Severus’ passion for learning.
‘She smiled at me today and told me something. I was too focused on her mouth to remember what she said.’
You absentmindedly stroked your lips. You took a moment to swear at yourself- urging yourself to stop reading this book, to stop reading Severus’ private feelings, and to stop feeling your own feelings, but you just kept going.
‘She named one of her plants, “Snargs.” I don’t know why, because it wasn’t even a Snargaluff, but it made me chuckle anyway.’
You smiled at the mention of your plant. Next to the note was a drawing of Snargs, your forever-flowering cactus with the name ‘Snargs’ written in a curly font above the plant. You looked up, seeing Snargs sitting on the high windowsill with his petals dancing in the soft summer breeze. You blew a kiss to him, placing his weekly watering schedule at the back of your mind as you kept reading.
‘She gave me a gift last Christmas. It was a new bag for my books. I saw her staring at the holes in my old bag the month before. The box didn’t have a sender, but I knew it was her. I could smell her perfume on it and it was her handwriting on the note inside.’
Embarrassed, you scratched the inside of your arm. You tried to be sneaky about your gift but it was certainly difficult getting anything past someone as observant as Severus. The two of you didn’t participate in the holiday’s secret santa event, but you could tell he desperately needed a new bag. His previous bag looked a century old, full of holes and nearly falling apart at the seams. His materials constantly fell out of his bag, and you had grown sorrowful every time he had to backtrack with downfallen eyes and a red face to retrieve his dropped items. You knew he didn’t want your pity, and you were afraid if you gave the bag to him in person he’d reject it, so you decided to be as anonymous as possible. You were glad he decided to use it anyway despite knowing where it came from in the end. Smiling, you wondered if he’d accept the gift if it came from anyone else.
Then, for the next few pages shaped like a heart, he had written your name in the margin in his best calligraphy, with pulsing hearts, twinkling stars, blossoming flowers, swimming fish, and tiny sketches of tarot cards. You stared, mesmerized at his magicked art, caressing the moving lines with your fingers. He wrote your names together in a heart, side by side with his. You couldn’t help the smile bubbling onto your curious face as you slowly took in every addition, fiddling with the corner of the dog-eared pages that had been shaped into a heart. You flipped the page, confused--there were tiny hearts drawn around an inky black mass. The mass was a jumble of rough sketch-lines, but they started to move. Your breath caught in your throat as the lines scribbled down on the paper formed an image of you, turning around and smiling. Nothing but astounding brightness was in your features, a direct contrast to the next notes he had written down.
‘I wonder if she feels the same as I do. She has to, right?’
You just couldn’t answer that question right now. You bit your lip, glancing up at the door as if Severus could burst in at any moment. You sighed, thinking about him as your eyes dropped back to the writing. Swallowing the lump in your throat, you stroked the next horrible words beneath your finger, feeling his self-doubt emanating from the paper.
‘But who could ever like someone like me?’
The next note was a long paragraph, but whatever words you could see were smudged and crossed out. Ink had been spilled on top of the page, the black streaks marring the yellowed pages. The corner of the page was brandished with scorch marks.

Hello there, I hope you're doing well! I send you all the honey and all the warm milk ever! 🍯May I ask for a tarot reading? There was a person in the past I believed I had a strong connection with. (I'm libra sun, leo moon, cap rising) they're gemini. Years past, I still think bout them. I've let go and they're still on my mind. Could you please clarify why, am I making it up? Do I love them or? I can't distinguish. If you could help me, that would be great.
Thank you for your question! There were many many cards that jumped out for this reading, and many of them seemed contradictory at first. Looking forward to hearing what you think!
Tumblr media
I started off the reading by asking why this person keeps coming up in your mind. There were quite a few new beginning, potential or ‘young’ cards here - the traveller (or the fool in traditional tarot), ace of shells reversed, page of shells as well as three of acorns reversed. These could indicate that when you first met the person you may have felt a huge potential for them to be a very big and important part of your life. This feeling might have been so strong and felt like a connection that was meant to be and that could be why your mind keeps bringing them up - subconsciously you could still be stuck with that first feeling. The ace of shells reversed gives the first clue that maybe this relationship was more emotionally draining on your side, and this feeling was an illusion. Three of acorns shows that you may have felt that things did not happen as you thought they would with this person, and maybe that is why your mind keeps revisiting them. The seven of acorns shows determination, stamina and inner strength - which is what helped you to let go of them and move forward. The most important card in this spread is the Justice card reversed. It hints that perhaps a part of you feels that there wasn’t a clear resolution and there is still an imbalance with this situation. This card may also be reminding you to learn from previous mistakes - maybe the reason you keep thinking about them is because there are more things you need to learn from that situation.
Tumblr media
I then asked a clarifier question ‘is it love’ and got the six of feathers reversed. For my clarifier questions, I establish with the deck that upright cards mean yes and reversed cards mean no so this is not love. Six of feathers reversed could be a message from the deck that even though you think you have let go, you may be putting a temporary fix on a bigger issue. The direct quote is ‘by putting a bandage on a situation, the issue will resurface again and again’. When you think about them, is it in terms of what happened? Or is it how they made you feel? I think it will be worth looking into that. You may have a bit more letting go to do (worst news I know, but don’t be disheartened, you have a lot of inner strength!)
Tumblr media
Leading on from that, I asked again specifically why this person keeps resurfacing on your mind in terms of you - what was the universe trying to tell you or remind you? What jumped out from the deck was three sixes, an ace in reverse and the high priestess in reverse. The six of shells reminds you that good memories and being sentimental is ok, but make sure you leave room for new beginnings. Six of acorns reassures you that you have the power and intuition to choose the right path and to stick to it - you know deep down what is right for you and you have the strength to maintain this decision. Six of crystals tells you to look within your community and see how you help others. You have a very thoughtful and caring presence and you nurture others to success - is there someone around you who is in a similar situation and could do with some guidance? Ace of crystals reversed warns you not to miss opportunities by focussing on this person / situation too much and high priestess reversed gives a similar message to slow down and refocus your energies. You could be imbalance and out of touch with your intuition.
The imagery in the six of shells, relating to memories, of two otters together and next to each other versus the six of crystals where there are two meerkats together again but one is facing the reader straight on - this caught my eye. There may be someone in your community that is ‘right in front of you’ that could be a good source for mutual support. The significance of three sixes reinforces the message that this is definitely a time of community for you - look around and don’t be afraid to ask for help from people around you, and to help them as well.
And finally I did one last confirmation card to ask ‘Do (you) love them, is this feeling love?’ and I got two of shells reversed. So 100% this is not love, and two of shells reversed urges you to reconsider your perspective and come back to balance.
I hope this gives you some clarity - especially the confirmation cards. This person does seem like a very important part of your life but perhaps more to learn from than to be with. Sending you lots of love and blessings <3 <3

Twelfth house;
In the 11th house, we tried to make the world a better place. We put all of our efforts into helping people and fighting for social justice. We made friends and, when we became old, we donated the goods we accumulated to support a good cause, something that would help getting to a greater good.
Together, the astrological houses describe all sorts of human experiences on Earth. And now, as we look back over our shoulders, we realize that our journey through the houses has been long. Having reached so far, we may think we’ve done everything there was to be done in human life, and so we are thrilled to find that there’s still one house missing: the 12th.
Tumblr media
We have no clear idea of what goes on in this house, and, curiously, this is a critical point to grasp if we’re to understand how it works. The 12th house is the accumulation of all mysterious, greater forces that escape to our control. It represents all knowledge that is hidden to humanity, even under a scientific eye, like the mystery behind the reason of our own existence. Interestingly, it is when someone argues that our existence has no meaning that the 12th house is more powerful. It is at this moment that it makes itself noticed. If we have no meaning, then what about the complexity of our feelings?, what about our subconscious?, our dreams?, clairvoyance?, magic?, spirits?, the growing limits of this universe?, the possibility of other dimensions? and so forth.
These are all 12th house matters because we have no clear understanding of them. And whenever we try to delineate this issues or try to approach them by a more exact or practical perspective, we only discover that we know nothing about the world or how it works or to what purpose it exists. The 12th house, then, can only be accessed by sensitivity and delicacy. The 12th house is a shadowy place, and we need intuition to navigate in it.
In a more personal understanding, the 12th house dissolves everything related to it. The planets and signs expressing themselves under this influence become hard to decipher, as they become hidden, sometimes, even to the chart holder. The planets here are diluted. They express themselves in subtle ways, energy fluxes in the air, feelings with no origin, energetic vibrations, surreal dreams and inherent fears…
If the 11th house represents the collective conscious, the 12th house symbolizes the collective unconscious. Generally the planets that fall in this house describe what others cannot see in ourselves, because planetary energy becomes too subtle to be perceived by conventional ways. Being a house of mysteries, the 12th house also includes hidden enemies and treason, betrayal.
And as the 12th house symbolizes our unconsciousness, the sign and planets related to this house usually remain in the unconscious realm, inaccessible to the chart holder unless they close their eyes and try to listen to their own inner voice. It’s like trying to tune in to a specific radio station. This is possible by spiritual, mystical or religious practices, psychotherapies, isolation, meditations, artistic expression, lonely studies and even dreaming. As you may have noticed, all of these things are solitary activities, and this is behind this house’s association to reclusion. Naturally, then, all 12th house matters are potentially related to the art of healing.
Being the house before the 1st, the 12th symbolizes karmic issues that are given to us, in theory, before birth. The karmic theme of our lives is usually imprinted on ourselves at childhood by some kind of trauma, only to be made itself more clearly noticeable as we grow up. And because it is the last house, the 12th also seems to hold the karmic themes that we can only fully understand after great time has passed, once we have developed the maturity, serenity, synthesis and sensitivity to understand its complex, greater meaning. It also represents the incomprehensible events that happen to us, manifesting as destiny. Whether the individual is able to understand their 12th house as time passes, however, varies greatly between people.
Finally, the 12th house symbolizes all prisons that limit the body’s expression or movement, but do not limit the mind’s or the spirit’s growth. This is because prisons and hospitals, traditionally connected to the 12th house, symbolize places where we must realize how life is fragile, how there is something greater and more subtle orchestrating the universe. In this sense, this house also symbolizes death and sacrifice, in the sense that the body is taken, while the spirit or soul finds freedom, and in the sense that something is lost so that the mind or spirit can fulfill a greater purpose. The 12th house is about letting go of material anchors so that the we can go back to the source.
Sun in the 12th house: a child wakes up to find that the skies are covered by a single, vast cloud of grey; it’s a beautiful day. Representing people that were born right after sunrise, this Sun is about bringing light (conscious awareness) to what was previously darkened or hidden (unconscious secrets). People with this placement often can’t recognize their own individuality or their own talents, and because the 12th house rules the collective unconscious, this also means that the individual’s personality or uniqueness can be hidden away from other people’s perception. To find one’s own individuality, it is important to engage in artistic or spiritual activities, so that sensitivity develops and clouds dissipate from the emotional realm. Those with this placement are sensitive to emotional currents in the environments and can usually feel when something’s not quite right. Private and imaginative, it is dealing with the unknown, the mystical, the magic, that the individual discovers their own inner star.
Moon in the 12th house: a lost treasure chest waits at the bottom of a dark ocean, waiting patiently to be discovered. Moon in the 12th is about locking one’s feelings very deep in the unconscious. Feelings are not only feelings, but secrets that may never reach the surface of expression, as they should be kept by a beautiful veil of fantasy. The Moon in the 12th is taken to a new level of sensitivity, one in which she feels the influence of unseen origins, energies fluctuating in the air, whispers of the spirit that travel from person to person. It can be easy for the individual to feel lost amidst such a turbulent flux. Their emotional setting can be understood like a radio that perceives, simultaneously, a wide range of frequencies, and so the individual can feel confused as to what they feel is genuinely theirs or someone else’s. To build a clearer, more reliable structure, is important to direct one’s sensitivity and, more importantly, retrieve that lost treasure chest at the bottom of the ocean. It is overflowing with forgotten secrets and traumas that must be dealt with, so that the individual can see the complexity of the universe’s emotions more clearly. Those with this placement can instantly tell when people don’t feel alright or when there’s something more that is escaping to the eye’s attention, but before trying to help others or even surrender to a lover, they must learn how to take proper care of their own selves when they’re alone.
Mercury in the 12th house: leaning sweetly over a table, a novice tarot reader exams the results of a spread. Mercury in the 12th house symbolizes the ability to translate secrets of the unseen, subtle, spiritual realm. Mercury is a rational, airy planet, maybe symbolizing that the individual fears that what lurks within, but also being a symbol of curiosity, the individual is usually interested in finding out about the emotional complexity of human beings. Having Mercury in the 12th house means that the individual might need solitude to think clearly or even study, and it also means that their ways of thinking and finding out about things are secretive, mysterious, as it tends to happen behind the curtains. Sometimes, it might mean that one’s intelligence and communicative abilities, no matter how great, can go unnoticed by others. People with this placement can find it hard to communicate whenever their emotions are too unstable, since the intellectual realm is so close to the emotional one, but this also means that they can capture emotional undertones in everything, even in things unsaid.
Venus in the 12th house: prince charming carefully removes the veil from sleeping beauty’s face, only to find himself sleeping in her place. Venus in this house symbolizes that one’s relationships with objects but especially with people can be confusing, since they arise one’s deepest feelings, giving a hint that something extremely complex waits to be discovered within. If the individual, before building these relationships, has had no experience with their own emotional setting, alliances will tend to be troubled by emotions with no apparent origin. Because of the 12th house’s nature, this placement indicates that one’s relationships seem to be out of one’s control. Everything points to deep feelings that need to be recognized and understood so that relationships can be enjoyed to their fullest potential. For this reason, relationships can be scary, and so the individual can become extremely private. This means that one’s ability to value and relate to others may go unnoticed by oneself and others. Finally, Venus in the 12th dreams of a perfect partner, whatever that means, one to whom she can sweetly surrender. But this can be frightful too, since it reminds her of dying.
Mars in the 12th house: Archangel Michael, leader of God’s army, prays so that their heavenly strength can be restored. Mars in the 12th symbolizes that one’s strength and vigour are found within, and so these people tend to need some time in solitude to restore their energies. Because Mars is the planet responsible for our will to get up everyday and see our duties through, having Mars in this house means that drawing one’s attentions within in search of a power source is a daily exercise. Moreover, the individual with this placement may feel a great rush of energy whenever they deal with deep feelings of themselves or others, demonstrating great courage when it comes to finding out their own secrets. Because it is a source of fiery energy, this configuration also means that these same secrets may have some kind of violent, angry theme related to them. No matter how much society overlooks this individual’s courage or ability to fight, one is certainly aware that they have this strength, for they have survived, for years, the war in their heads.
Jupiter in the 12th house: a long-time traveler comes to find a charming abyss and, contemplating it for hours, suddenly becomes aware that the abyss has been talking to them too. As Jupiter is the astrological magnifying glass, this configuration means that the emotional realm, in all its complexity and secrecy, draws a lot of attention. This placement indicates a huge experience with one’s own fears, but the individual nevertheless needs peace and quiet to deal with their own ghosts, or otherwise risks losing emotional control. However, as much as their emotional suffering might be great, the rewards of dealing with these secrets and building a more structured, confident emotional setting are also enormous. Thus, these people benefit a lot from spiritual practice, therapy and anything really that helps them reveal their own secrets to themselves. With time, their experience might be so great, that these people grow to be spiritual mentors or act as counselors to those around them, and this goes very well with their outstanding sensitivity. They are wise when it comes to the subtle realm of energies and emotions and seem to be always helping others when it comes to these subjects, even if they find it troublesome to deal with their own issues regarding this matter and tend to so alone.
Saturn in the 12th house: an astronaut considers the starry black curtains all around him, amazed and horrified. Representing the basic fear of the unknown, Saturn in the 12th feels very uneasy, because here, despite all of his efforts, he feels that all his structures and disciplines are being constantly dissolved into Neptune’s clouds. People with this placement tend to keep a safe distance from things unclear like spirituality and their own deep feelings and secrets, usually symbolizing a sort of respect or fear towards these things. Anyway, the individual usually knows that they are much more complex than they let show, as they constantly need to be isolating themselves in order to restore balance in their emotional world. However, Saturn’s presence in this house reveals how difficult it is to let go of fear, and how difficult it is to deal face-to-face with one’s darkest demons. The planet of time and discipline in this house symbolizes that these demons tend to stay locked away, and one’s deepest emotions tend to stay supressed, as they remain in unconscious, troubled waters. The lesson usually involves facing these issues, building trust in spiritual practices and letting go of fearing anything that doesn’t have a clear, logical explanation. With time, these people may also grow to become mentors and counselors of their loved ones. As they build a stable emotional realm of their own, they often would like to help people with theirs.
Uranus in the 12th house: great clouds suddenly rise about a calm lake, sending lightning bolts to strike its serenity. For people with this placement, radical changes in their lives usually come from within. They understand that life is unpredictable and shouldn’t be a stable, rigid experience. This doesn’t mean, however, that change is a comfortable thing. People with Uranus in the 12th may see life in fear that a greater forcer will turn their lives upside down, but it is also in these moments of sudden transformation that they experience freedom and may break the shackles that tied them to their inner ghosts. To better understand this changing processes, it’d be advisable to retreat and be in solitude for a time, in order to listen to one’s own subtle intuition. The 12th house secrets, when under Uranus’ influence, can also have a violent or shocking connotation. Moreover, this symbolizes that one’s sensitivity is restless, and the energy fluxes that one is able to perceive are often agitated and strangely willing to make themselves more noticeable.
Neptune in the 12th house: a scared child, alone in the darkness of their room, suddenly smiles, feeling the warming protection of their guardian angel. People with this placement bring Neptune’s extreme sensitivity back to its original home. Every now and then, the soul sends messages to the consciousness’ surface, pointing to feelings and fears that need tending to. For these people, dealing with one’s own secrets involves isolation and solitude. On a more negative manifestation, however, it involves escapism. There is a profound amazement for everything that is unclear or inexplicable, and people with this placement love to infuse their lives with this feeling that there is something greater behind the scenes. Neptune in the 12th is about being confident in one’s unique spirituality and sensitivity, and this placement usually indicates great potential for spiritual growth through solitude and spiritual practices. As they’re intimately connected to the source of everything, these people can attain great spiritual enlightenment as long as they stay true to themselves and develop confidence and sensitivity to deal with their own fears.
Pluto in the 12th house: a professional diver finds a scintillating jewel at the bottom of the sea; once they reach for it, however, they find themselves unable to return to the surface. Pluto in the 12th is about listening to the soul’s desire to transform. People with this placement know how complex and rich the human mind can be, and they find it rather exciting to dive into unconscious waters in a search for answers. As they dive deeper and deeper, however, and make their way amidst the 12th house clouds, they will find that their lives will be changed forever. Returning is not an option. Moreover, these people also will need solitude to better dive and find what they’re looking for, but if not balanced this may as well mean that they’ll use of escapist behaviours for the sake of seeing truth. The power of these people reveals itself mostly in extreme situations, when they are pressured to act in emergency. It is then that they can activate Pluto’s unyielding determination in their favour. Having Pluto in this house also means that its secrets may have an extremely dark theme around it, and this adds to the tendency of a life-changing experience with spirituality and therapy.

The Magician
The Magician : a muggle guide to tarot
     - Through the dark of futures past, the magician longs to see. One chants out between two worlds … Fire Walk with Me.                David Lynch’s Twin Peaks
I realize it’s hard to convince you of my view that tarot doesn’t have anything to do with magic per se, when the title of the card we are discussing is ‘the magician’. But it is perhaps the most worldly, practical, unmagical card in the entire deck, so bear with me. Today we’ll be talking philosophy and raw action. The magician caries the numbered one. So take out your magician card, or your favorite magician card if you have more than one. The magician is a card for which I feel a profound affection; I identify deeply with it (along with two others: the chariot and the king of swords). You could almost say that in this early stage of the tarot’s journey I have halted and stopped at the first step and there is some truth in that.
Symbolism
Tumblr media
We see a figure with one arm pointing upwards, sometimes holding a staff or a wand and one pointing downwards. This represents the ancient phrase “as above, so below”. The idea of a macrocosm and a corresponding microcosm is an old one. We know the ancient Greeks philosophized a lot about this and the idea has spread across big parts of the world ever since. Plato believed in the existence of a perfect world of ideas, next to our world of imperfection. Christianity believes in a temporary existence here on earth and an eternal existence close to god.
On a more mundane scale we can see the outer world of everyday life and our inner world of hopes, dreams, ideas and fantasies. And in each one there is something that bridges these two. I have always found it intriguing that moons revolve around planets and planets around suns in a colossal void, very much like electrons revolve around the nucleus of an atom, also mostly in void. In short, it symbolizes that the stuff that makes up the universe can be found inside ourselves.  Between the above and the below is the magician, us, at the center of all this. It is a profoundly anthropocentric card; we are, each one of us, the god of our own universe.
Did I just call you a god? Yes, I did.
In front of the magician is an altar with four objects: a sword, a wand, a cup and a pentacle (or coin). These four objects represent the four elements, the stuff the universe is made of, in a symbolic way. The altar and the four objects represent everything, the world (the macrocosm) but right in front of us, small and tangible, symbolized (the microcosm). They are there for the taking. In certain decks the magician is called the juggler, the capable artist that keeps all four elements in the air at the same time. The altar is a miniature world under the control of the magician.
Another crucial symbol is the infinity symbol above the head of the magician, symbolizing the unity of male and female principles. In my post-gender worldview, I don’t like male and female stereotyping, but the tarot is rife with it, luckily in a very nuanced manner. Tarot isn’t inherently patriarchal if that’s what you are wondering. The magician, like the fool, is an androgynous figure, uniting male and female principles. To be an able person, one does indeed need a mix of both, lest we are hollow, ridiculous clichés. The infinity symbol lives on in the character “&” often used on marriage invitations when a couple puts an ampersand between their names, indeed a union of two.
Tumblr media
Is there no end to this symbolism? Jesus. We’re almost there; I know it’s a lot; it’s not an easy card concerning its symbolism but I’ll make it up to you later, because its meaning is real simple, I promise. In the Renaissance Tarot we recognize the symbols we talked about (the up and down arms, the altar with the four elements is a plinth here, and we see the infinity symbol). The figure is very androgynous, one leg is straight and muscular, one is almost that of an elegant ballerina. There is a hint of breasts and that hair is long and yet short.
Some extra symbols are added like the two caduceui (still used by pharmacists as their symbol) but also by the alchemists of old. The two intertwined snakes represent – can you guess it? – the intertwined male and female energies. Between the snake heads is the symbol of the planet Mercury, a blend of (surprise) the male and female symbol. The wings on the arm and feet (like the ancient god Mercury) refer to his ability to ascend and descend in the world above and below.  I’ll shut up about the magician’s belt which represents the ouroboros, you can google that one if you’re really into the ouroboros. I am seriously done with its fucking endless symbolism.
Tumblr media
In the wild unknown card we recognize a few things: the four elements and the infinity symbol but the magician has been replaced by a wildcat. Which brings us seamlessly to its meaning (finally). A lot of cards in tarot are about contemplation but this one is all about action. A wildcat runs and runs fast, it runs gracefully, it is made for running. This card says only one thing: go!
Upright meaning
     - Knowing is not enough; We must apply. Willing is not enough; We must do.                Goethe
Just as the magician manipulates the four objects on the altar in front of him (remember, representing the microcosm), so can we manipulate the world around us. The magician is able, he knows his shit, he doesn’t sit idly by, he acts and transforms A into B, he makes changes as he sees fit, he shapes the world around him to his liking. He is whole, male and female combined, confident in his abilities.
If this card represents a situation it tells us to believe in ourselves and act. Do it! Go for it! Stop doubting, stop thinking and just fucking do it already.
Tumblr media
If it refers to a person, it is someone confident, someone with abilities that bring about change in the real world in any possible way. Someone who knows his trade always seems like a wizard to an uneducated outsider. The things my IT-guy does to my computer look like magic to me; how my pharmacist prepares medicine that heals me looks like magic, how poets juggle and play with words, is magical to me.
The magician is always someone who believes in themselves and has real skill and influence, not some cog in a machine but maybe an independent employee or anyone with a specific skill set. Or simply someone who works a little practical magic for you. See what I did there?  If you know yourself well, it helps to know the world; if you can change, so can the world. In contrast with the fool, the magician knows really well what he wants, he has a plan and he’s already working on it. The magician is deeply androgynous, he knows when to use his male and when her female side to best reach the goal.

> The Magician by Stephanie Davidson
Reversed meaning
When reversed it can mean one of three things:
1. Exactly the opposite: inactivity. Someone is sitting on their lazy ass. Maybe thinking, dreaming, fantasizing or calculating risks, weighing options, whatever it is, now is not the time! Just get up and start working. Yes work, you will get tired. Stop talking, stop complaining. Work.
2. Something blocks you: you lack the confidence of the magician, you don’t believe in your own abilities. Maybe you compare yourself to people who do it better. But honestly with seven billion people out there, someone is bound to be better at no matter what you do. Maybe you believe you are worth jack shit. In any case: you are wrong. You are able. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
3. Taken too far: the magician holds the meaning of the charlatan, the imposter, the foul smell that drips from the word manipulating. This is someone who abuses his abilities in a way too selfish and harmful to others. He is a deceiver and quite good at it as well.
The path of the magician
When you meditate on the magician, or if the magician represents you in a spread, it asks us to act. It is Yoda telling us to do or do not because there really is no try. It is Galadriel telling Frodo that this task was appointed to him and that if he does not find a way, no one will.
Tumblr media
It is Obama yelling at us ‘yes we can’ or Karl Marx telling us that the point is not to think about society, the point is to change it. Few cards are so straightforward. Just like last time, a little meditation exercise to let you grow, to step by step define who you are. Note down three skills that you possess that influence the outside world, grand or modest, doesn’t matter. They don’t have to be unique or super-snowflake-special. Skill is skill. Three things you are good at.
Next jot down three things you want to learn in the future. Like, before you die, preferably.
Again, I’ll be open and honest; not out of some misguided exhibitionism but because as your guide I want to give the example.
1. I am a decent enough librarian. I help my readers find the information they need, I teach them a skill set so they can find It themselves and analyze it’s worth in a critical way. I run a smooth library.
2. I am verbally strong if I want to. I can communicate, inspire, analyze and I have a certain way with words. I write and guide roleplaying games as storyteller, which brings joy and excitement to people. I also use this for evil purposes. I have been known to bend truths.
3. Strategy, long-term planning, making plan B, C and D (and in secret E, F and G). Destroying resistance, guiding the process, improving along the way, optimizing, motivating and cheering at the end.
Three things I want to learn before I die: to dance, speak German fluently, and sew clothes.
TLDR: Upright meaning: confidence, action, skill Reversed meaning: passivity, lack of confidence, manipulation

How To Connect To Your Intuition With Tarot
Tumblr media
Julie Hopkins
The tarot deck is a collection of seventy-eight cards that can be used as a form of divination by witches and non-witches alike. The earliest forms of the modern tarot deck have been traced back to the 15th century.
The Rider-Waite tarot deck is currently the most widely used deck, but there are SO many beautiful tarot decks that depict the traditional seventy-eight cards in different ways. It doesn’t matter which deck you use. My only advice here is to pick the one you feel drawn to. That “pull” to a certain deck is your intuition talking to you.
I started with the Rider-Waite deck simply because I happened to stumble across it at the mall. I distinctly remember feeling a thrill of excitement and a hint of curiosity when I picked up the box and turned it over in my hands. Looking back, I believe those feelings came from my intuition.
Since then, that deck and I have been through a lot. We’ve weathered breakups and tough decisions, new jobs, and celebrations. During my tarot readings, I’ve pulled cards that have made me laugh and some that have made me tear up. Many times I’ll pick a card that is so spot on I’ll have to pause to catch my breath.
I’ve used my deck so often that whenever I hold the cards in my hands, it just feels… comfortable—like a broken-in pair of boots or a conversation with my best friend.
But Aren’t Tarot Cards Just Ink On Paper?
Yes, they are. That deck of tarot cards you ordered on Amazon is nothing but pretty designs printed on seventy-eight pieces of springy cardstock.
The magic happens with you begin to interact with your deck. The tarot cards provide us with a tangible way to connect to our power, the power around us, and our intuition.
There are a lot of different ways to use tarot cards, and I am a HUGE advocate of experimenting with any and all methods that get you excited. For this article, I’ll be focusing on just one way you can interact with your tarot cards: How to connect with your intuition with tarot.
What Is Intuition?
Intuition has been called a bunch of different things—instinct, a hunch, following your heart, a gut feeling, or a sixth sense. It’s that feeling you get when you meet your best friend for the first time and think, “This person is pretty awesome.” Essentially, it’s a sense of “knowing” something without any kind of concrete evidence. You just… know.
Intuition is something we all have—we’re born with it, and it’s powerful.
Learning to connect to it can enrich your witchcraft practice in wonderful ways. Tarot is my favourite way to connect with my intuition because it’s simple and can easily be woven into my daily routine. Whether you’re an experienced card reader or a total newbie, you can use this method to connect with your intuition right NOW.
How To Connect To Your Intuition With Tarot
Step One: Introduce Your Intuition to Your Tarot Deck
Sit in a quiet place where you feel calm and grounded. Light some candles, turn on some music or sip a cup of tea while you do this. Create a peaceful environment. Have a journal and pen nearby.
Hold your cards between your palms and close your eyes. Invite your intuition to express itself through your cards. You can do this by speaking aloud to your intuition or by thinking it silently your head. Something like, “Hi Intuition. Thanks for always being there. I am opening up a new channel for us to talk with these tarot cards. Please guide my hands, and my thoughts as I interact with this deck.”
Now reach out with all your senses and take notice of everything. No observation is too small for this exercise.
Start with your thoughts. Did anything pop into your mind when you talked to your intuition? Did you think of a specific word, phrase or image?
Next, pay attention to your feelings. What are you feeling? Can you name the emotions? Are there conflicting feelings? Did any of these thoughts bring up joy or laughter? What about anxiousness or excitement? Don’t pass any judgement on your feelings. Each one is valid and each is a message from your intuition as it interacts with your cards for the first time.
Finally, search your body for physical sensations. Notice the weight and texture of the cards in your hands. Then shift your attention to how the cards make your hands feel. Do you feel anything unusual? A tingling? A temperature change? A bit of pressure? How about in your arms? Can you feel any new sensations? Go through all your other body parts—your stomach, chest, throat, forehead, shoulders, and legs. Pinpoint where each sensation is happening.
Take a few minutes to journal about everything you’ve just experienced. Get super detailed, and don’t censor yourself. There’s no wrong answer here. If you have trouble with this exercise, give it a try later and see what happens. Your intuition will always be there when you call on it, so try this exercise as many times as you want!
Step Two: Shuffling and Drawing Cards With Your Intuition
You can’t go wrong with a simple overhand shuffle, but if you want to try a riffle shuffle, go right ahead. Sometimes I’ll spread my cards out on the floor and slide them around like a kid playing with finger paint until I feel like they’re mixed up just right. Then I’ll gather them up in a pile and cut them anywhere from one to three times. Again, this is another opportunity to let your intuition guide you. Do whatever feels right.
When you draw cards, you can either pull from the top of the deck after shuffling or you can fan the whole deck out on a flat surface like a rainbow and pick cards one at a time from different places in your deck.
Before I select cards, I hold my left hand out, palm up, and ask my intuition to guide my hand. Traditionally, the left hand is used for “receiving”, and I’ve had success with that. I wait until I feel some kind of sensation in my hands. Then I hover my hand over the cards until I feel some kind of sensation again. For me, it feels like a tingling or a soft poke on my fingertips. It’s different for everyone, so be open to whatever happens.
Step Three: How To Ask Questions to Your Intuition with Your Tarot Deck
You can ask your intuition anything you want. I talk to my intuition like she’s a wise friend who knows me better than I know myself. I’ll ask things like, “What message do you want to tell me right now?” or “What energy do I need to get the most out of today?”.
Other types of questions I ask include:
What do I need to solve this issue?
What is holding me back from my goal?
What will I experience if I chose this outcome?
How do I REALLY feel about this person/situation/outcome?
What am I not seeing clearly in this situation?
After I ask my question to my intuition, I pull one to three cards to reveal the answer.
Sometimes I get clear answers. Sometimes I learn that the answer to my questions can’t be fully communicated through the scope of the seventy-eight cards.
In time if you keep asking questions, you’ll discover which ones work best with your tarot cards. It helps to word your questions in an open-ended way. For example: Instead of asking a “yes” or “no” question, try asking for guidance on an issue.
Step Four: Interpreting Your Tarot Cards with Intuition
You can always use good ol’ Google to look up keywords and in-depth meanings of the tarot cards, but consider going “off-book” for this exercise. This process is similar to step one.
When you pull a card, take a moment to look at the image, number, and suit of the card. Then observe everything—your thoughts, your feelings, and your physical sensations. Did this card make your heart pound? Did it bring up a joyful memory of your ex-lover?
Write down your first reactions to the cards you pull based on what you receive from your intuition and don’t worry if it’s totally different from the traditional meaning of the card. This is an unconventional method of interpretation, but it can open up a direct channel to your intuition. It might take some practice, but it’s worth exploring. Don’t dismiss any thoughts or impressions as wrong, or insignificant. Journal about all of it and see where that train of thought takes you. I’ve discovered a lot of my subconscious beliefs through this method of interpreting the tarot cards.
For example, I asked my intuition what energy I had in my body one morning, and I pulled the five of wands. The Rider-Waite deck depicts the card’s symbolism with a group of men trying to hit each other with sticks. When I saw the image, I immediately thought about the heated argument I’d had with a co-worker the day before about politics. I realised I was still holding onto that anger and I needed to forgive myself for losing my cool. This card traditionally isn’t about forgiveness, but that was the message I received from my intuition in that moment.
How Do I Know I’m Talking To My Intuition?
Well, you don’t... Not for sure anyway. This is something I struggle with as a witch from time to time. I’ll find myself noticing an interesting sensation in my hands, and I wonder, “Is this all in my head?” or “Can I trust this?”
Every witch will have to answer those questions for himself or herself. I’ve made peace with this by realising it doesn’t matter to me. Whether I’m making it all up, or I’m channelling my inner power, the most important thing for me is how this process makes me feel. When I explore my questions and concerns through the lens of tarot cards, I feel powerful and connected to something larger than myself.
Tarot Tips For Connecting With Your Intuition
If possible, let go of any personal bias or preconceived ideas before you draw a card. Trust that your intuition will answer you with love and wisdom.
Acknowledge and release your inner critic. You might hear that nagging little voice in your head telling you that you’re not powerful enough or experienced enough to use tarot to talk to your intuition. Let those thoughts float out of your mind. I believe everyone has the power to connect with their intuition.
Don’t be afraid to ask any question that comes to mind, and don’t worry if you’re really confused by the cards you pull. This has happened to me many times. It’s all part of the process. Just sit with the cards for a moment and stay open to whatever your intuition brings you.
Do you know how to get the best readings from your Tarot yet?
If the answer is no, then you’re missing out on one of the most useful tools in the craft!
Getting started with Tarot can be intimidating. There are a ton of rules and a bunch of them contradict each other and then there’s memorising all those cards… it’s too much! Not anymore though.
In my Intro To Tarot class series, you’ll learn step-by-step how to become a confident, spiritually attuned Tarot reader so that you can make the most of this amazing tool for yourself.

Reincarnation: A Secret Teaching of the Tarot?
Reincarnation has long been one of the esoteric tarot’s “hidden teachings.” Over the years, many writers have equated the
Fool
with themes of life, death, and rebirth.
Kabbalistic
systems often equate the Fool with
Kether
, the crown and “The Source of Life”—an assignment that suggest the Fool’s descent form the world of potential into the world of distilled physical forms.
Many readers equate the pack over the shoulder of the Rider-Waite-Smith (RWS) Fool as the repository of memories and wisdom collected during previous lives. The Fool’s number—when he’s given a number at all—is usually zero, a number who’s shape suggests the idea of endless cycles. And, of course, there are the
Majors
, which achieve the integration and enlightenment suggested by the
World
, and then begins the journey anew.
Reincarnation, then, would appear to be woven into the fabric of the modern esoteric tarot. That fact, combined with tarot’s unique ability to tap thoughts, memories, and stories long submerged in the subconscious, makes the deck a powerful tool for exploring past lives.
Gentle Words of Caution
If you plan to work with tarot as part of an effort to illuminate past lives, please keep the following cautions in mind:
Past-Life exploration is a serious venture. Attempts to peer into previous lives should not be taken lightly. Proceed with this exercise only if you feel a compelling need to make a connection with a prior self.
Not all past lives are pleasant ones. Repressed memories (whether forged in your current or your previous lives) have often been buried for a reason.
Past lives often don’t “perform on demand.” As a result of dreamwork or meditative regression, you may wish to explore a specific incarnation. The details uncovered by this exercise may relate to that existence…or come from another. Be open to whatever insights occur.
Not everyone can be Helen of Troy. While you may fancy having been the “face that launched a thousand ships,” you may connect with a fairly mundane prior existence. Fame is not necessarily an indicator of a successful incarnation. The insights you achieve as a lowly shopkeeper may be more important than those achieved in a more high-profile previous life.
Stepping Back
This process of reviewing a prior existence is simple but powerful. I recommend you perform this experiment only when you have a minimum of one hour to pursue it; otherwise, you may rush through the steps and neglect important insights.
Step One: Preparation
Prepare for this reading by grounding and centering yourself using whatever tradition you honor. Turn off cell phones, telephones, televisions, and other distractions. Do whatever must be done to avoid interruptions during this work. The experiment may be undertaken in any setting; however, you may find it useful to dim the lights, light candles, play meditative music, or burn incense. You should feel protected, empowered, and safe.
Step Two: Meditation on the Fool
From whatever deck you prefer, remove the Fool (or its equivalent). Once you are seated comfortably on the floor, take the card in both hands and focus on the illustration. Clear your mind. When distracting thoughts occur, acknowledge them, tell them, “I’ll deal with you later,” and return your attention to the card.
With time, your focus will soften or your eyes will grow heavy. When this occurs, allow your eyes to close—but maintain the image of the Fool card in your mind. Think of this image as a frame of film. When you feel ready, prompt your “inner projectionist” to play the card’s “movie” in reverse.
If you are working with the RWS Fool, the young man in the illustration will walk slowly backward. The clouds above him will retreat toward the distant horizon. The rose he carries will revert from blossom to bud. The white dog at his feet will cavort in reverse.
Keep your inner eye on the Fool as he shrinks from your field of view. When you can no longer see him, allow the image of the card to slowly fade to black.
Step Three: The Reading
Gently open your eyes. Replace the Fool in the deck and shuffle it. Beginning at the top, deal eight cards into an upright column: three cards above, two crossed cards in the center, and three cards below.
Card One: Your Gender. This card holds clues to your gender during a past life. Don’t obsess on the apparent gender of the character in the illustration. While this may be an indicator of your previous gender, the really important question to ask is this: what gender do you feel the card symbolically suggests?
Card Two: Your Family. This card indicates something of importance about the family into which you were born. The Ten of Cups may suggest a large, happy, loving environment. The Justice card may point to a strict, sterile household where rules were more important than freedom. The Eight of Cups may suggest that something was missing from your home environment, and could be read as anything from “an absent parent” to “life as an only child.”
Card Three: Identity/Personality. This card provides insight into your core identity during this previous lifetime. A Major in this position indicates a behavior, belief, or would view that dominated this existence. (The Lovers, for example, might indicate you spent this lifetime desperately seeking a soulmate…or that romantic relationships were always a challenge for you.
Cards Four and Five:  Situation. These cards are a snapshot—a “Kodak moment,” if you like—of a critical situation that arose during your previous life. The two cards represent two energies, forces, or people whose interactions created a climax of life-changing dimensions. If you find the Eight of Wands paired with the Four of Coins, you might decide your previous self received a sudden insight (Eight of Wands) that prompted him to save food and money (Four of Coins) in preparation for a coming disaster.
Card Six: Response. This card represents all-important response you made to the crisis defined by cards Four and Five. The Devil in this position might indicate that the fellow from you previous example hoarded his provisions for himself; the Six of Coins, though, might suggest that he endeared himself to others by freely sharing his resources.
Card Seven: Life Lesson. This card symbolizes the life lesson you learned during this existence. Expect this card to refer, at least in part, to the crisis outlined in cards Four and Five and the response signified by card Six. The Tower in this position, for example, might indicate that, as a result of being led to help others, you learned to escape the prison of obsessive self-interest.
Card Eight: Influence on Your Present Life. This card will reveal how the existence depicted in this spread colors your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and choices today. The King of Swords in this position could suggest that your cool handling of a past-life crisis prepared you to be a present-day leader. On the other hand, the Two of Wands might suggest today’s inability to stick with a course of action is rooted in self-doubt left over from a previous incarnation’s self-doubt.
Step Four: Follow-Up
Knowing about a past life is one thing; knowing how to use this information to foster positive change and growth is another.
Once you have genuinely opened up yourself to the revelations of this reading, collect all the cards, shuffle them, and draw three new cards, placing them in a simple horizontal line.
Card One: Honoring the Past. This card suggests something you can do today as a means of acknowledging the work you performed in the past. The Four of Swords might prompt you to offer a prayer for the person you were, or the Star card might lead you to make a libation—a small offering of wine or water, poured out over an altar of small stones—in recognition of a former self.
Card Two: Putting Wisdom to Work. This card suggests a way you can put your past life experience to work today. If you discover, for example, that you worked as a successful craftsman in the past, drawing the Eight of Coins might encourage you to take up a handicraft you could use to enhance present-day income.
Card Three: Looking Forward. Reconnecting with past lives can be exciting, but your present life has lessons of its own to teach! This card, which hints at your current life’s agenda, will suggest a matter in the present that requires your attention. (Drawing the Hierophant, for example, might motivate you to schedule more time for deliberate spiritual practice.) Pondering how this card extends or builds upon your past life experience will be both satisfying and enlightening.
Additional Tips for Past-Life Explorers
Take some time to explore the insights suggested by this reading. Expect connections among cards to reveal themselves in subtle ways. One good way to expand and preserve the information you gather during this exercise is to translate it into a journal entry by writing a paragraph or two about each card.
Want to explore a specific past life you’ve glimpsed before? Choose cards deliberately to represent what you do know; draw random cards to “fill in the blanks” and complete the picture.
If some cards remain inscrutable, or if you feel uncertain about the information you receive, you can always supplement your insights with commentary cards: additional cards drawn to amplify or enhance the meaning of the original card. Place commentary cards to the right of the cards they modify; they will “extend” the story and allow you to glimpse additional details.
Even if your current beliefs do not embrace reincarnation, this spread can still provide you with a great deal of insight. After “generating” a past life with the cards, try interpreting the story you’ve crated as though it were a symbolic dream. What truths about your present life might this “past-life experience” reveal

2019 Wedding Trends to Know Now if You’re Getting Married This Year
Link to Article
From practical wedding dresses with pockets and simple gowns to metallic eye makeup and bold wedding colours, here’s the 2019 wedding trends you need to know about now if you’re getting married this year...
Tumblr media
2019 Wedding Trends to Know Now if You’re Getting Married This Year
2019 Bridal Fashion Trends
Wedding dresses with pockets
Tumblr media
Wedding dresses (and jumpsuits) with pockets were all over the runways during Bridal Fashion Week. And in 2019, the modern-day bride is prioritising practicality and comfort over aesthetic.
Robin Weil, founder and CEO of weddingplanner.co.uk, agrees that the trend of wedding dresses with pockets has risen as a direct result of brides prioritising comfort and practicality on their wedding day.
“Wedding dresses with pockets have been gaining popularity for the last few years now. and from a bride’s perspective, it’s quite a practical solution if they want to keep their phone, tissues or lipstick with them.”
Wedding Dresses With Sleeves
2019 sees the return of classic cuts and simple fabrics with strapless wedding dresses losing their appeal.
In fact, all brides getting married next year will be wearing gowns with sleeves.
Taking inspiration from Megan Markle’s luminuous long-sleeved, boat-necked Givenchy wedding gown, 2019 wedding dresses will move towards a pared-back bridal silhouette.
Simple Wedding Dresses
As part of the “Megan Markle effect”, bridal designers have predicted a return to refined minimalism, with HalfPenny London’s 1990s-inspired slips, Sassi Holford’s sleek columns and Cymbeline’s unfussy tulle skirts.
2019 Wedding Music Trends
Movie Soundtracks For Your Wedding
Music HQ, who specialize in booking live music for weddings and events across the UK, predict movie soundtracks are going to be a big thing in terms of 2019 wedding entertainment.
Tumblr media
Speaking about the wedding music trends for 2019, company director Suzanne Aston said: “The Greatest Showman has been so popular this year and we’re already getting requests for next year in for our artists to perform songs from the film“.
2019 Wedding Entertainment Trends
Tumblr media
Unusual Wedding Entertainment
With the wedding photo-booth way overdone, couples are now looking for new and unusual ways to entertain guests.
Why not book a tarot card reader or a caricaturist to keep your wedding guests entertained?
Harpists Or Pianists For Your Wedding
More people are choosing to party later and later at their wedding so the trend of wedding wind down music for an hour after the main party is sure to become a thing in 2019.
Nothing is more angelic and calming than the sound of a harp playing or why not book a pianist to bring all your wedding guests together for a sing-song at the end of your big day.
2019 Wedding Decor and Styling Trends
Tumblr media
Coloured Wedding Decor
Moving away from conventional whites and creams, reds, pinks and even oranges are set to take a starring role in everything from floral arrangements to bridesmaid dresses.
We’re seeing more and more couples forgoing the classic white decor and instead embracing bright colours and a bold aesthetic in their wedding decor.
Too much white at a wedding can look a little clinical and embracing soft shades of nude, blush and blue offer pretty alternatives to classic white.
Plastic-free Wedding Decorations
Sustainability is more than just a fashion trend and the wedding industry is taking notice, switching from the likes of plastic straws to paper and glass alternatives.
It helps that linen napkins and glass straws looks much chicer than their plastic counterparts.
Following in the footsteps of Princess Eugenie, brides-to-be are thinking more about the planet while planning their big day and choosing to go plastic-free when possible.

Brides Wearing Red Lipstick
The classic matte red lip for brides is back – pair with strong brows to create a really defined look.
“The key is to pick the right shade for your skin tone,” says make-up artist Sasha Louise Pallari.
“A classic pillar-box red is great for a glam look – my all-time favourite is Charlotte Tilbury’s Bond Girl, a beautiful matte that seems to suit any colouring.
“Always use a lip primer to start – apply it like a balm and leave for a few minutes. Once it’s gone tacky, apply the lipstick. With a good primer, you shouldn’t even need to reapply throughout the day.
“Lastly, always apply your lipstick before your liner. Once the base layer’s on, use tiny dash-like motions to define the lip line. Then use a little concealer on a flat brush to clean the edges for the perfect red pout.”
Super Natural Makeup on your Wedding Day
Show off your bridal glow with barely-there, minimal make-up. The key is all in the prep, so be sure to up your skincare routine around six weeks before the big day.
“It’s vital to prep the skin every night to get rid of the toxins that build up over the course of each day,” says Jurlique’s beauty expert Claire Roberts.
“Introduce an exfoliating cream into your routine to slough away dead skin and try a serum, too. The Jurlique Herbal Recovery Serum is a wonder product that targets fine lines and firms the skin’s surface – leaving it energised and make-up ready.”
Brides Wearing Metallic Eye Makeup
From silver cat eyes at Reem Acra to light-catching foil nails at Naeem Khan, up the big-day drama with mixed metals at your 2019 wedding.

It’s a look that suits hair worn up or down – just be sure to keep the rest of your face fresh and simple.
Braided Wedding Hairstyles
Spotted behind the scenes at Berta, Cymbeline and Suzanne Neville, bridal braids and plaits reigned supreme at the 2019 shows.
For an edgy yet pretty swept-back style, switch it up à la Berta and opt for a dramatic plaited parting.
Wavy and Loose Wedding Hair
Channel your inner mermaid at your 2019 wedding with the new season’s penchant for heavenly waves, as seen on the Monique Lhuillier, Pronovias and Maggie Sottero runways.
If it’s a less ‘done’ look you’re hoping to achieve, go with the flow of your natural texture and create a loose up-do with trailing tendrils.
Think Meghan Markle’s wispy big-day bun and you’re on to a winner…

Tumblr media
Nude and Pastel Wedding Plowers
With couples throwing wedding traditions out the door, pale pink, blush and taupe flowers are increasingly replacing classic white blooms as a bride’s wedding flower of choice.
Fragrant garden roses, stocks and sweet peas (in whimsical and rustic shades) are some of the most popular summer blooms set to appear in a big way next year.
Peony Bouquets
The peony is a timeless wedding flower that’s always a popular bouquet choice, so you can expect to see lots of these in 2019, too.
As a very versatile flower, peonies can be crafted into bouquets that suit any style of wedding, from very formal affairs to rustic garden parties.
However, as the peony season begins in April/May and only runs through to late June, their availability is limited.
If you have an early summer wedding and your heart set on peonies then you will be able to get your hands on them.
But if your wedding is later in the year, then beautiful alternatives to peonies include garden roses (for summer), dahlias (for late summer) or ranunculus (for winter and spring).

Sharing Platters
Food trucks have had their moment but couples are still looking for laidback ways to offer simple tasty food.
Sharing plates and farm-to-fork concepts are both proving popular for 2019 weddings. As is the rise in dessert tables.
Edible Wedding Favours
Take-home bites have quickly become a popular choice for bride and grooms because it’s the couple’s chance to make it their own.
If you’re looking for a DIY project for your big day then jam, jelly or chutney is easy to make and can be enjoyed by your guests long after the big day is over. Choose some rustic-looking fabric to cover the top and you’ll be receiving compliments for weeks!
And if you’re having a winter wedding, why not package up a childhood favourite for your edible wedding favours – marshmallows. This is an especially perfect parting gift if your after-party includes a fire pit.
Or if you’re a keen baker, you might even want to make some cute cookies or biscuits with iced names on them yourself, that can double up as place-cards.
Late-night Wedding Food
While late-night wedding food is nothing new at wedding receptions, 2019 wedding food trends include more sophisticated and personal requests.
The typical late-night wedding snacks of pizza and miniature fish and chips are being replaced with unique eats that reflect the couple’s favourite comfort foods.
2019 Wedding Cake Trends
Tumblr media
Cheese Wedding Cakes
Gone are the days when a three tiered iced fruit cake is the wedding cake du jour – it’s all about getting creative with your wedding cake.
Cheese towers laden with preserves, artisan bread and charcoal crackers are going to be a big thing in 2019.
