He quickly made his way to the door. This was the third consecutive night he had been woken up by you.

“Jinyoung ah! Open the door!” He opened the door and there you stood. Drunk, barely capable of standing up. 

“Y/N, what are you doing here? Do you know how late it is?” He said rubbing his eyes. 

“Jinyoungie…” You whined throwing yourself at him, wrapping your arms around his neck. “I missed you.”

He smiled. He was happy to see you even if it was the third consecutive night. “You were here yesterday, the night before and the previous night.” He joked, pulling into his house and closing the door behind him. “If you show up here again, you might as well just move in.” He wasn’t joking. He actually wanted you too. 

“Really? Can I?” You pouted. “Pretty please.” He chuckled while trying to hold you up. 

“Stop getting wasted for guys that don’t care for you. They’re not worth it” He was serious. His heart broke every time he saw you get wasted for a guy that didn’t care about you. He saw tears form in your eyes. “Shhh...it’s okay. I’m here.” He said as he reached for your cheeks. “I’m here.” He reassured you.

One Year Ago

He had just moved into his new house and was hosting a small get together with his family and close friends. He was in the backyard with the boys preparing the barbecue. 

“Is Y/N coming?” JB asked. 

“Yeah. She’ll be here any minute.” He said subconsciously checking his phone for the tenth time. He was the most excited to show you his new place because he decorated the guest room with you in mind. 

“When are you going to confess?” Mark asked flipping the meat on the grill. “How long have you been crushing on her?”

“Shhh....” He hushed. 

“Hyung, if you don’t go for it, I will” Yugyeom teased. 

“Pshhh… don’t be ridiculous.” Jinyoung laughed. “Y/N and I…it will never happen.” He said chugging his beer. “She will never like me. She only sees me as her friend, her older brother.”

“Shhhh….it’s okay. Get it all out.” He said rubbing your back. “You’ll feel better once you yack it all out. Have some warm water.” You shook your head. “Drink it.” He ordered. He grabbed the hair tie you left on the sink and tied your hair. He helped you up to your feet. Now facing him, you hear him let out a sigh.

“Are you disappointed in my Jinyoungie?” He gave you a small smile. 

“I can never be disappointed in you Y/N.” He said tucking the small strands of your hair behind your ear. “It just hurts me to see you like this.” You pout. “Come on. Get ready for bed.” He said taking you to his bedroom. 

“Which shirt?” He asked.

“I want yours.” He grabbed one of his t-shirts and pulled it over your head and then fixing your hair.

“It hurts seeing you like this.” He said again.  

“Jinyoung…why is it so hard to find someone that loves me?” You hugged his waist. You buried your face into his stomach, trying to hide your tears. He stroked your hair.

“What do you mean? I love you.” He said making you look up at him. He really did mean it. One year ago in this very house, he wanted to tell you how much he loved you, how much he needed you to be by his side, but when he wanted to show you the guest room he designed for you, you rejected.

“Y/N! You’re here.” He smiled widely at you. You returned a small smile. You can’t help but feel sad after hearing what he said in the backyard. 

“Hey.” 

“What’s wrong?” He rushed to you. “Are you feeling unwell?” Placing his hand on your forehead to feel your temperature. You quickly brushed his hand away, not wanting to be touched by him because you knew it would make you feel worse. 

“I’m fine.” You said coldly.

“Are you going to sleep in your bed today or my bed?” He chuckled but he already knew the answer. You were already climbing into his bed.

He wrapped his arms around you tight. Tighter than usual.

“Promise me something.” He asked. You looked up at him. He leaned in closer to you, his forehead touching yours. “Promise me you will never do this again.”

“You mean come over and bother you?” You asked slightly pulling away from him. He shook his head and pulled you closer - his forehead still touching yours.

“Promise me you will never do this for another man. All men are dogs except me.”

You chuckled. “What are you trying to say?” You asked him.

“If you stopped and looked carefully, you would see that there’s someone that has always loved you.” He whispered.

You stared at him. You felt your heart thump against your chest. It wasn’t like you’ve never been this close to Jinyoung, but this felt different. The feelings you tried to subdue one year ago was resurfacing. 

“Can I ask you something?” He said. You nodded. “That day when I moved in, why were you so cold to me?” You held your breath. Why was he asking this now? “It’s been on my mind a lot. You’ve never been that cold to me. Not even when we were fighting.”

“Jinyoung, I...” You pulled away from him slightly. How were you suppose to tell him that you overheard him saying he will never like you when you were head over heels for him? “I...I wasn’t trying to be.” 

“Don’t lie to me Y/N.” There was no way you could avoid this conversation. 

“I heard what you said that day.” You finally confessed. He looked at you confused.

“What did I say? Did I do something wrong?” You shook your head.

“I just heard something I never wanted to hear from you.” He still give you a confused look. “Can we drop it? I don’t want to talk about it.”

“Y/N, what did I say?” He pulled you back into his arms, holding you tighter than before. 

You hesitated. Say it and ruin this friendship. Don’t say it and have him bug you for the rest of the night. 

“Fine.” You sat up on his bed. He quickly followed. “Jinyoung, I overheard you telling Mark and them, that we...we would never happen.” You looked down at your lap, afraid of what was to happen next.

“What! I never said that!” He protested. “Y/N, I would never say that.” He held your hand.

“I heard you Jinyoung.”

“You didn’t hear everything. I said it will never happen because I thought you only saw me as a brother.” You finally looked up at him. Now, you were the one with the confused face. “Y/N, I love you. I really did mean it when I told you to look carefully, there has always been someone that loved you. That person is me.” He pulled you into his lap. “I’ve always loved you and I’ve always wanted to tell you, but you were so cold to me. I didn’t know what to think.”

“I had no idea...” You repositioned yourself so that you were now straddling him.

“But now you do.” He pulled you closer to him. “Do you love me?”

“Jinyoung, I’ve always loved you too.” He smiled happily and leaned in to give you a kiss.

Last night was the best I ever had. I didn't expect Got7 will be my first ever concert. It was full of joy and memories we'll never ever forget. The loudest crowd I ever witnessed and the mesmerising color of green and white during the Miracle performance was the prettiest no wonder why they cried.
