introduction to my hogwarts dr

note: it’s a mix of the golden trio era of hogwarts and hogwarts legacy. and this dr was inspired by an idea for a fanfic I had, soo it’s quite dramatic.

me

my name is elara marie sterling. i am 17 years old. i’m english? (the question mark will make more sense later) something that i don’t know is that i’m an ancestor of an ancient bloodline that is one of the few that still wields ancient magic - a raw and powerful form of magic that is forgotten today. it manifests in seeing flickers of light/traces of magic.

my history

my earliest choldhood years i’ve spent with my nana (azalea) in a scottland village. she was the village healer and i spent a lot of my time curiously observing her practices and by her side as she taugh me lessons about life.

around the age of six i was separated from her by my mother - caroline. we moved to another village in ireland against my wishes but at least i had the pendant necklace my nana gifted me. it was the only thing i had from her and it sometimes flickered oddly with light. i never saw my nana after that. it was just me and my mom with no sign of my father.

two years into the move we moved again - to france this time when i didn’t even know the language. after that the moves kept happening frequently. by the time i was 17 i had lived in 15 different cities in 7 different countries. in this time i’d become fluent in french (besides english), knew luxembourgish and dutch extremely well and could speak italian, spanish and german with slight difficulty.

the father topic and the questions about the moves were avoided like the plague by my mother. I didn’t know about any other relatives of mine besides my nana. because of that I was never really sure what my roots were.

hogwarts

the last place I lived when I got my letter was scotland. the first few letters actually were hidden from me until an owl dropped an envelope in my lap on my 17th birthday - 24 april. my mum was hiding the letters until I snooped and found them then declared that I’ll attend this school—whatever it turned out to be. it held the answer to secrets she kept so that was motivation enough.

during the summer I had a teacher assigned to help me with my progress—professor Lupin. he was also the one to escort me to the school, tell me more about the school system and walk me to the great hall on the first day.

at this point I don’t know when I’ll even shift there — the first day? morning? during the ride? the next day when everything is over? no idea.

also I want to be in slytherin for the plot (according to gotoquiz I’m 60% slytherin and 80% ravenclaw.. so I can be in slytherin)

this isn't true. user tiga on gotoquiz you're wrong. people who love me dearly all agree im pathetic. if i were a male fictional character id be the fan favorite because my patheticness would activate some kind of predator lust instinct in people. i ate cheese ramen from top ramen when it first came out and threw up on the side of the road. that's not alpha behavior.
