speaking of mischaracterized main ships (see previous post), did you know? hananene is not all cute and fun. yes it is toxic too. even though its much healthier than whatever mitsuba and kou have going on they have some serious issues too, specifically in miscommunication. its a lot harder to mischaracterize hananene due to their loveable chemistry and more healthy nature, but i still feel like the unhealthy parts of it go majorly undernoticed and deserve addressing. i should do a small deep dive into that too, especially since this was my otp since i got into tbhk. okay im gonna go eat homemade mac and cheese and reread tbhk for the mtsk analysis, night.

Though on genderswap Mitsukou? What would their characters belike both appearance and personality wise?

Yuri Mitsukou!! I love this question

So awhile back I posted smth like “no fem4masc Yuri Mitsukou it has to be masc4masc” which like. I don’t really agree with anymore. I like that in canon one of them is feminine while the other is masculine and it’s not really done in a stereotypical way. Fandoms make a really big deal about people feminizing male characters- and for good reason, it does happen a lot. But that gets taken to the point that they end up unintentionally reinforcing traditional gender roles. “How dare you draw that man in a skirt” or “that male character would never cry.” It’s also weird to me that I never see the same defense given to female characters being masculinized, so it ends up feeling like a lot of fans just hate femininity. So when a male character is feminine and seemingly likes masc dudes but has one of the loudest personalities in the manga, I think it’s pretty neat. Ofc there are fans that are weirdly against calling Mitsuba feminine but I already blocked most of them so idk what they have to say

(I could talk more in-depth about how fans are so worried about feminizing Mitsuba that they erase all the soft parts of his personality and make him one-dimensional but I’ll hold my tongue)

However, with fem!Mitsuba things are usually portrayed differently. Since dude Mitsuba’s initial conflict was being bullied for looking like a girl, most people say that the reverse would be girl Mitsuba being bullied for looking like a dude. This is fine but we also have to keep in mind that the entire gag of Mitsuba’s character is that he looks feminine but has an unfiltered personality, based on his looks you would never expect him to act that way. So if girl Mitsuba looks boyish, does that mean her personality would be super soft and delicate?? Because, yeah Mitsuba does have a soft side but not in that way, and it’s not at the forefront of his personality. Plus girl Mitsuba could still get bullied for looking too feminine, internalized misogyny is very much a thing

However, at the end of the day it really depends on personal preference so I’m not at all bashing either depiction of fem!Mitsuba. I go back and forth over which one I like more. Gender themes are a pretty big part of how I write Mitsukou so it’s hard for me to imagine that switched up, but it’s also incredibly interesting to think abt. All in all I like to keep fem!Mitsuba looking androgynous, maybe she has a boyish face but still dresses very feminine. Or maybe she has a girly face but dresses very masc. It’s one of those things I like a variety of interpretation on. For this I say she keeps the same hair length and pink cardigan but wears the girls uniform. So like yeah she basically just looks the same

As for Kou, those of you that read my wlw Kou//Nene fic should know that masc girl Kou is actually everything to me. A lot of fans sort of flip their gender presentations when gender bending them- Mitsuba becomes masc and Kou becomes fem. That’s totally great if that’s what you like but for me personally Kou is gonna be wearing Old Spice. I like to imagine her hair a tad longer in the back, like a choppy version of the Bisexual Bob. She wears some type of hoodie over her uniform the same way canon Kou wears a t-shirt under his uniform. The hoodie is blue btw (gotta incorporate the lore from my mtsk fics)

I feel like their personalities and dynamic would stay mostly the same! Maybe make them a bit clingier the way female friendships are but they’re already pretty clingy in canon lol. I do wonder if Kou’s flaw of not being able to open up about his feelings properly would change due to gender socialization. But many women (including myself) have that problem too so I think it would stay the same. She might be able to open up to Teru or Yokoo and Satou better but she’d still struggle to admit when she’s feeling overwhelmed. I could see her not being the type to tell someone how she’s feeling until all those emotions have built up for months. That’s how I’ve seen the whole “can’t talk abt your emotions” problem present itself in women. And men tend to only feel comfortable opening up to their romantic partners, which is something we very much see with Mitsukou in canon. But with fem!Kou, if Yokoo and Satou were girls two they would probably encourage her to talk abt her feelings rather than just being like “let’s give him a task to distract him” (which is fine too, men have different ways of comforting their friends)

What is a MP100 HC you have that you never see anyone else talking about?

Oh gosh..... I gotta think about that. And have been thinking for like two days haha Chances are it is one of our combined HCs hahaha but I’ll share one that’s in my brain.

The one that I always think about is auras. My HC is that emotions are perceived through powers. (Which is a HC i already know we share heh)

I think diff espers can express themselves diff through their powers. Some it comes naturally like shigeo or serizawa and they can read it easily and express it comfortably. Others like ritsu or Teru don’t express them but can read them well. Shou doesn’t have either come naturally.

Shigeo is exceptionally perceptive towards emotions via powers. For him, communicating via his powers is….so comfortable. They are an extension of his self. He doesn’t always know how to express his emotions in other ways. But his powers are just natural. A inherent part of himself. But he does his best to not read other espers too closely to not be intrusive.

He can read ritsu the best and ritsu can read him the best as well. They learned how when they were young to understand one another even before they were both espers. Being able to understand one another through their powers gives them a strong emotional connection.

Serizawa also is like shigeo I think. They often can have totally non verbal discussions between them. It’s so comfortable for them to just chill in silence together.

Shou isn’t as perceptive towards emotions through powers so he doesn’t express them as much and Shigeo. He and Teru intentionally keep their emotions less visible.

Annnnd Teru. My boy Teru. Teru can read auras very well so he never had trouble reading Shigeo. But he does not express his emotions through his powers. If anything he intentionally holds his powers close to his chest. And that includes his true emotions.

Teru allows very few people to perceive his true emotions through his aura. One is Shigeo~ he makes the very intentional choice to let shigeo perceive his emotions through his powers.

Anime vs. Manga?: Both are so charming. It's worth checking both out. I really enjoy the progression of ONE's artstyle throughout the manga, too.

Salted Genres: mentor-apprentice, good sibling rep, respectful towards women (albeit without any taking lead roles), grownass man worthy of being babygirl, well-written characters, GREAT comedy, con artistry (lol)

Major Trigger Warnings: Not really??? Esper dad fights his esper son, but we're already in esper territory. ONE makes it clear that many adult espers are poorly adjusted socially, and the father character fighting his son is quite clearly Not a good guy.

Can I Watch It Around My Parents?: As long as they don't hate Supernatural themes, you could easily watch this around them. Couple of comedic scenes involve smartass guys getting their shit kicked in so bad, they get blasted to the point of their clothes disentigrating, but it's clearly meant for comedic purposes and not sexually. Trust me. He needed to be humbled.

Artstyle: Unique, leaning towards shounen. Heavily respects ONE's style while bringing it to a fuller depth and severely objectifying Reigen Arataka (he's in his late 20s). Not afraid to look raw or "ugly" (which is so refreshing).

Personal Review: Fuck you, this show is practically perfect. I don't have to say anything. You're on tumblr- Reigen is a god here. But seriously, just watch it. It's one of the few animes I wholeheartedly will recommend to anyone. If you can't appreciate it, it's just your loss. People who cry that "all anime has some caveat to it" to excuse shitty tropes? can eat shit. Mob Psycho is better than that AND your shitty harem anime.

Context: I watched this back in 2016 when it originally aired, and it was the fight with Teru (episode 4) that really got me hooked. Back then, ONE was the talk of the sphere for the recent release of One Punch Man S1 (Studio: Madhouse), and being the comedy fan that I am, I knew the humor was right up my alley. Season 1 was so fantastic that I immediately picked up the manga where it left off. All of us that were early fans used to convince people to watch it by saying, "If you liked OPM, this is the creator's piece he really put his heart into the story for!" Even after the manga ended with such a fulfilling ending, I was eager to see it again animated with BONES' gorgeous action animation skills. Some anime can manage being absolutely timeless, and I firmly believe Mob Psycho takes the cake.

Favorite Character: Reigen Arataka. I am not immune to grownass, loser men with hearts of gold (or at least when it counts). If anything, his entire character arc is becoming less of a loser since becoming Mob's role model, and you gotta love it.

Fandom: I never engaged with it, but it's impossible not to see on here. People are pretty wholesome from what I've seen (aside from objectifying Reigen, but he can have it. As a treat). Most takes include making Reigen a father figure (which I disagree on. Mob has a father. He needed a MENTOR. Big difference.) and the expected various shipping takes. The majority of characters are men, so it's mostly mlm. Most of the popular ships are pretty cute, so it's worth checking out if you enjoy shipping! Reigen is also memed to hell and back, and I miss Redraw Reigen days with all my heart. Great memes.

CHAPTER 108 THOUGHTS!

God, I don’t even know where to start.

I like how Teru is also mesmerized by the Clock Keepers’ boundary, every character has been. Tsukasa, Nene, myself including.

Reminds me of that one time where Mitsuba tried to sneak away. It says ‘sneak’.

C’mon Aida, making everything look so cute. I didn’t notice this at first until someone mentioned it.

I don’t think you’re supposed to handle it like that Teru.

Getting right to the point though.

I hear a lot of people say ‘Terukane betrayal’ and I totally agree, I knew we were going to get one soon, it’s apart of every TBHK relationship. There has to be a betrayal!

But I don’t think we should hate Akane for this, I know the hate might pass, but still. He’s a Clock Keeper and the Clock Keepers are responsible for handling their business’s, like every other seven mystery. And I really don’t think Akane would have done this if he had an option, he did hesitate at first.

He hates supernatural after all.

I will always remember this moment, it’ll always be in the back of my head.

I don’t know why this was so special to me, but, seeing Tsu be vulnerable.. I don’t know.

I mean, when is the last time we’ve seen him like this? Probably never? If I were to recall, I couldn’t.

This chapter and most likely the next is going to be when we see a vulnerable Tsukasa instead of the usual op one.

It’s just something I’ve wanted to see for a while.

Nene, still being fantastical, still trying to follower her dreams. I gotta love it, we’ve gotta love Nene for trying to be a princess even when captured ( But she already is a princess in my book 🫶🏽 ).

I see too many people say that Tsukasa is also a helpless princess in this case, and I love it.

All you gotta do is run Tsukasa out of fun stimuli, and this is what you get. A bored, depressed, underestimated Tsukasa.

His brother never came when he called for him, I assuming he’s referring to when he was ( possibly ) stuck in Hanako’s boundary, and whenever he called for Amane, he never came.

This broke my heart. And when I first read this, I read this in French class. I had to push all of my emotions back inside so I wouldn’t look like I was having a stroke. But this made me so sad.

Plz, I want to give Tsukasa the biggest hug he’s probably never received in a long time.

Don’t ask me how I missed that, because at first I was confused on how he also fell. I think I was so busy trying to read everything before class ended.

But I realized his hands were also in restraints, so he had to completely let go of the cage and catch Nene with his arms.

I don’t understand how people could not love these two.

Realization hits him, he really let go of the cage, to save Nene. And now they were both falling.

Also, something that I saw someone else say is that the thing Tsu says, the three lines, is supposed to mean something with ‘three syllables’ being said, and Amane’s name has three syllables.

Tbh I only watched the og kids Naruto when I was young and any shippuden knowledge I have is a mix of posts from other fans, Google, and fics. Already said this before in an older post but I read a lot of time travel/fix its so I just assume that when similar events are included in more than 2 timetravel fics (if it's still set in naruto's timeline and not like, minato's or pre konoha), then that's probably what happened in canon. I also just Google any shippuden powers or characters I'm not familiar with, which is quite a lot but it works for me.

- Hells, what? He hastily strode towards the bathroom, stopping and internally panicking once he saw how humongous it was. Several gangly legs... Eugh. Spiders had always disturbed him.

- But he had to do it. Just think, what could possibly be lamer than the god of the new world being terrified of spiders? That would tarnish his reputation. No kidding.

- Light took the broom from the side and carefully shooed the spider off the walls while you slouched behind him and held his shoulders, screaming everytime the creature got near you.

- Some time later, you lost sight of the spider.

- "[Y/N], where is it?"

- "I don't kn -- oh my gosh!!!"

- "What is it?"

- "It's on your head!"

- What the fu -- okay, calm down, Light. You can do this. You've killed plenty of the bad guys before. This is merely a spider.

- He's utterly spooked, but he was still preserving his image, so it took quite a while to get the abomination off himself. He looked like he just finished an intense tennis match by then.

- Was that spiders written on top of a page in the death note? Ryuk cackled. He wondered if he could blackmail Light using that to give him more apples...

- For the sake of his own entertainment, also because he disliked you disturbing him, he raised the arm with the spider on it towards you. You hastily went in the comfort room and shut the door on his face.

- He kept that spider for future uses.

- Uh-oh. There was a spider. You needed someone to get rid of it, but the only one around was your girlfriend, who's just as arachnophobic as you are.

- You just vacantly stared at the bathroom door and waited for the spider to miraculously disappear.

- Eventually, Misa showed up because she needed to take a shower.

- "[Y/N]? What are you doing? Are you gonna use the bathroom?"

- "Yes.. But.." You pointed to the abomination lurking near the doorknob. Misa squealed and hid behind you.

- "Kyahh! Get rid of it!"

- "Me?! Get rid of it?! No, you do it!"

- "But I'm scared!"

- "So am I!"

- After a long moment of silence, you sighed and suggested, "Let's just get rid of it together. Get the brooms."

- Misa looked even more spooked, but she didn't have much of a choice. The spider wasn't gonna get rid of itself. She took two long brooms and you both began to sweep the eight-legged creature away in a careful distance.

- There was so much noise and everything had eventually become chaotic.

- "AHH! IT'S CRAWLING TOWARDS ME! [Y/N]!!!"

- You screamed yourself as you began sweeping it away from her, but the little shit decided to crawl on your broom instead. You immediately dropped it and scrammed out of the house. Misa followed, also screaming. The neighbors were greatly alarmed.

- "Near... I need your help.."

- "What's the matter?" He said, attention fixed solely on the cards that he was stacking.

- "There's a spider in the bathroom..."

- "What of it?" He asked noncommittally, though he already knew what you were going to say.

- "I need you to get rid of it. Please."

- You feverishly walked to and front. You couldn't hold back any longer. Near looked like he'd rather eat glass, but okay. He wasn't that heartless.

- "Stephen." He called urgently. The latter sauntered towards him and asked what the matter was.

- "There's a spider in the bathroom. Please get rid of it quickly. [Y/N] is about to explode."

- Stephen headed straight to the bathroom, followed by you, and grabbed the spider to relocate it elsewhere. Finally, time for you to break free.

- "Minoru. Help me." You texted your boyfriend. He asked what the matter was but you did not elaborate and only told him to come to your house asap.

- He was worried upon seeing your panic-stricken face. He thought of the worse case scenarios -- and then you took him to the bathroom where a huge spider was stuck on the ceiling.

- He so regretted coming.

- "Oi oi oi! Where do you think you're going?"

- "Back home? No thanks, I don't like spiders."

- "Neither do I!"

- "Then why should I be the one to get rid of it?"

- "Because no one else is home and I've been holding my dump for thirty minutes. You gotta help me!"

- His face fell. He didn't have much of choice, he was there anyway, so he sighed and picked up a broom. In a safe distance, he very gently shooed the spider away lest it falls on his hair.

- There were lots of unnecessary squeaks.

- Thank goodness, the spider had finally fallen. Exactly in the open toilet. Just as planned. Minoru didn't think twice of flushing it.

- You really didn't want to bother your busy boyfriend, but you had enough. You've been seeing the same spider for lurking inside the house for weeks now. Teru gave it no heed as it grew bigger. Then it got into your room. That took the last straw.

- "It's only a spider [Y/N]. It's not like it's gonna kill you."

- "You don't understand. The way that thing moves its leg is enough to give me heart attack! I can't sleep knowing that thing might crawl on my face as it pleases. It's so creepy! Why does it even look like that? Get rid of it, please."

- Well that was mean. Teru clicked his tongue. No point of trying to convince you that it's harmless. He sighed and took a chair, standing on it to get the spider which then crawled on his arm. He looked far too calm in your opinion. You backed away from him.

- He opened the windows and set the creature free, immediately closing it afterwards. Though he was pretty sure that it would come back sooner or later.

Ah... talking a bit more about Teru in this situation... when he fought Hanako in the past, he separated him from blue Hako... so he won't become 'not an evil spirit' as Hanako puts it... on the train... he was already using it... yet Teru managed to work around it somehow?

He could work around blue Haku... yet couldn't work around red Koku... well.. it was Hanako using it... not blue Haku itself. Ah... speaking about that... what is blue koku for btw? We've never seen it in some 'special' use of its own before? Does it have some special use we will learn in the future... make you think...

Ah... speaking about Tsukasa (a yorishiro/ a sacred thing) a bit more... later on... Nene was able to do some damage to him... why? Is it: 1/ She is a special priestess/kannagi as it was said so... she purified him in some way... but... can a yorishiro be purified? Is a yorihsiro even considered an evil spirit? ........... 2/ Because it's Nene (being the current kanagi) ...  she can work around yorishiros just fine... not only by peeling off their 'seals' ..... 3/ Or... he (and red koku) was just too weak by then... ehhhhh........ -aaaah... while Tsukasa was supposedly asleep in Hanako's boundary... were his kokujoudai asleep, too? ehhh... too little is known about these things....

OH GOD ITS HERE THE BORN SUPERNATURAL AKANE FIC HAD ARRIVED HOLY SHIT

I adore your version of born supernatural Akane! He is just so fucking adorable: he rambles over his discovers and kept a journal, a fucking journal!; he knows how to kick ass and is a powerful, dangerous little piece of shit; he is clever and a bit naive and curious around him but unintentionally caused some rumours after escaping Kako's exhausted grip; and he's somewhat good friends with the Seven! Reading the "Aoi Akane & The Seven Wonders" tag, it makes me glad that this fic can also feed my desperation for Akane interacting with the Seven!

And 14-y/o Teru is such an adorable asshole! I've gotta love how he chose violence the moment he met Akane and still indulges in his curiosities about the humans! I had a feeling that Teru is gonna be "goddamit i will indulge the madman for him to shut up" to listening and finding himself entertained, having fun and feeling comfortable with Akane later on.

Also Kako! God, do I feel his tiredness over watching Akane – the lines of "We don't want you to fall in love and cry when your crush graduate again, Aka. Mirai gets bored when you're depressed, Aka" is fucking hilarious and glorious to the point that I'm sobbing tears of happiness because Grandpa Kako is at it again and over how Akane is such a reckless child that Kako have to put a leash on from time to time. As well as Tsuchigomori indulging Akane over human pulses, I could imagine Number 5 explaining to him over his ridiculous thoughts and ugh, it's fucking cute. (And Hanako acting like the piece of shit that he is to the point Akane doesn't believe his words, lmao their dynamic never fucking change i love it)

All in all, I am excited for the next chapters to come and how this story unfolds!

I keep remembering how Akane wrote down all his theorizing and questions about supernaturals/teru's job/whatever else he had in there, in canon so the idea of supernatural Akane having a journal for 'human study', which is just him overthinking in written format, was too perfect to not include!

This will be for Mob Psycho. I don't mind that people make ??? and Mob/Shigeo separate personalities (there are some AMAZING fics that do it, and they are fantastic!) , but I find it toes the line of...diminishing the final chapter, in a way. The whole point is for him to be one, complete whole being. I think adding on a distinct personality to ???...remove from the fact that ??? is, in the end, Shiego. The end of Mob Psycho was him accepting that part of himself. That part that was a little twisted, angry, and upset. And I think keeping them as separate, kinda removes that impact of that growth by Shigeo to accept the negative and more intense sides of himself.

favorite thing about them: how, despite the fact that he’s literally a con artist, he genuinely has a strong moral code to which he adheres to fiercely. he only takes cases in which he believes that he can give the client the peace of mind they seek either through his own skills or mob’s help. when he genuinely really fucks up and hurts someone important to him, he acknowledges it, takes responsibility, and does his best to fix it. he always tries to put himself in danger before letting any kids run in to face it, and he always reminds the kids that it’s not their job to fix everything or to change people’s minds or to save the world. yes, he’s a liar and a con artist, but like mob says, he’s a genuinely good guy

least favorite thing about them: he takes the lying-to-protect thing too far and ends up hurting people and/or lying for his own gain sometimes. it’s likely a twisted form of self defense, but it’s still something he’s gotta work on. also he should probably try to start expressing his affection for those close to him in ways other than risking his life for them or buying them ramen. he’s a good guy, but he’d really benefit from a bit more honesty in his life, both emotionally and in general

Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun: Ghost Hotel’s Café (Part 1)

Sneaking into a collaboration café that has the image of a “ghost hotel”! A cute and horrific space where one can feel at home for an “eternity”.

The Ghost Hotel’s Café, a collaboration café for “Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun” - one of the mangas currently being serialized in G Fantasy (Square Enix) -, was held in Tokyo, Ikebukuro’s AniPara Café, for a limited period from 12/05/2019 to 02/11/2020. In this collaboration café, the inside of the shop was decorated with “Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun”, where people can taste collaboration food and drinks, as well as purchase exclusive goods that cannot be acquired anywhere except in this café. This time, Pash! PLUS has been there for the first half of the event, which lasted from 12/05/2019 to 01/08/2020!

Welcome to the interior of the “Ghost Hotel”. You can relax here forever.

Ikebukuro’s AniPara Café is located on the 7th floor of a building that sits at a five-minute walk from the east exit of Ikebukuro (the Seven-Eleven on the 1st floor is a landmark!). This time, the collaboration café is based on the image of “Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun” x “Ghost Hotel”, and when the door is opened, the characters of “Hanako-kun”, who became employees at the “Ghost Hotel”, will welcome you.

The adorable characters drawn by AidaIro-sensei are everywhere in the store! As there were already many pop-like and cute illustrations in display at the entrance, we were stuck there for a while. However, this is a “ghost hotel”. Perhaps something more than just cute may be waiting...!?

Enormous panels of Hanako-kun, Nene and Kou were installed at the entrance to the main floor. By the way, if you looked veeery closely at the panels, there was a certain hidden message in them, or something like that. What’s more, the characters of “Hanako-kun” were hiding around the store in miniature versions... Check out every corner if you visit this collaboration café. The playfulness of the “ghost hotel’s employees” may be hidden all over.

Moreover, an original story by AidaIro-sensei was posted on the official Twitter of this collaboration café (@hanakokuncafe). If you check the backstory that led to the opening of the Ghost Hotel in advance, you may enjoy it from a different perspective!

In addition, there are many display panels of “Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun” around the store. It is a luxurious space where you can enjoy the adorable and vivid world drawn by Aida-sensei during the meantime until the collaboration menu arrives. It’s cute everywhere.

And when it comes to the place where the protagonist Hanako-kun belongs to, it has to be the toilet. This collaboration café’s toilet is a beautiful one at first glance, but when you sit down...

Just like ghosts, they “suddenly” appear everywhere in the store. While at this collaboration café, it may be best to pay attention to signs of their presence, so that you will be ready to encounter them anytime.

When it comes to collaboration cafés, the food and drinks are indispensable! This collaboration café has the “Ghost Hotel’s Café Afternoon Tea”, which includes an invitation to the Ghost Hotel; Hanako-kun’s favorite food, “Hanako-kun’s Floaty Doughnut”; “Mistuba’s Showy Pasta”, a pink pasta that aims for “flashiness”; the sparkly “Mokke’s Delightful Candy Cake”, modeled after candies, the Mokke’s staple food; and “The Edible Plots of Nene from the Gardening Club”, which looks almost like a plot and has a connection with the fact that Nene is part of the gardening club.

Cute and unique foods and drinks such as “Natsuhiko’s Room Service Cocoa”, which has chocolates shaped as screws as its main point, and “Teru’s Holy Exorcist Blue Soda”, which seems to be refreshingly purified by a combination of blue syrup and lychee soda, also made an appearance.

On the occasion, we ordered “Hanako-kun’s Vampire Berry Tea” and “Nene’s Welcome Drink” out of the many menu items. We actually tried them!

■ “Hanako-kun's Vampire Berry Tea” 700 yen (tax included)

Berry tea with the image of a “vampire” Hanako! At first glance, it has a dark red, tomato juice-like color (metaphor), but it is a beautiful drink that looks like rubies when you hold it in the light.

On the topic of berry tea, there are many people who wonder, “Doesn’t the taste of the black tea get too light because the taste of berries is too strong?” but Hanako-kun’s Vampire Berry Tea presents a good balance between the taste of tea and of berries, so we wound up humming without thinking, “I was waiting for this balance!”. There are three types of berries as topping and you can enjoy their texture, so for the people who are indecisive about their drink, we recommend Hanako-kun’s Vampire Berry Tea!

■ “Nene’s Welcome Drink” 600 yen (tax included)

Nene’s Welcome Drink welcomes the visitors into the Ghost Hotel. Gold leaves floating on a pale bluish ramune soda, and rather than being “a nostalgic drink from childhood”, it has a mysterious beauty that makes you feel like you “might be able to go to a different world” if you drink it.

As the name “Welcome Drink” implies, you can enjoy a refreshing feeling with this beverage when it goes down your throat. It might be a good idea to firstly have a toast with Nene’s Welcome Drink, and then order the food and drinks that you are curious about!

Now, if you order a “Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun” collaboration food and drink, you can get a random coaster (9 types in the first half/12 types in the second half). ♪ (Picture is from the first half.)

And these story cards (12 types in total) are available at random for each visit!

Also, if you eat at the café for more than 1,500 yen and collect three stamps, you can get an original can mirror. This, too, is cute!

Come to this a cute and slightly horrific (?) space interwoven by “Jibaku Shonen Hanako-kun”. Is it up to you whether or not you will become unable to ever return from the cozy Ghost Hotel.

After you arrived back in Tokyo, you immediately started packing your bags for college. You even got Kenma to help you in exchange for getting him his favorite snacks.

Your parents helped you carry your bags to your apartment you would be sharing with two others. You couldn´t wait to meet them, but you´d also miss your friends.

Most of them were still in high school and half of them were in Miyagi.

Maybe you could visit them more often with your new part time job.

The apartment building was old, but it looked charming, like something out of a book.

The entrance was through the backyard which would take you some time to get used to, but when you finally got all of your bags and belongings upstairs in the apartment you said goodbye to your parents and unlocked the door, feeling a rush of excitement and nervousness go through your skin.

This would be a new chapter of your life, you´d be able to move on and make many new friends.

Or so you thought…

“(Y/N)?” Yuuji asked perplexed, poking his head out from his room where he was just unpacking.

“Teru? What the fuck are you doing here?” you asked confused, trying to piece everything together.

“Oh, the uni´s better than the one in Miyagi” he stated vaguely and you cocked an eyebrow, there was more to it, you just knew it, but you didn´t want to pry.

You didn´t had the right to anymore.

After all you cut off every contact to some of your friends after high school, including Yuuji since he was very close to Kuroo. The same applied to Bokuto.

“I see… um, I´ll try not to get in the way” you said, getting your stuff into your room.

Meanwhile you took a good look around the apartment, it was quite spacious and cozy at the same time with a nice living room and open kitchen area.

“Don´t worry about it! Everything alright with you? You kind of disappeared after high school, Kuroo´s quite worried about you, you know?” he asked, joining you and helping you unpack.

“Well, I´ve had a lot on my plate…” you said, in hopes to drop the topic, you didn´t want to relive everything.

At the same time Daishou and Mika arrived. Daishou´s apartment was just across yours and both of you thought fate was either sadistic or just straight up cruel.

Though, you wouldn´t meet just yet.

Daishou said goodbye to Mika and entered his own apartment to meet his roommates.

“Hello!” Mika smiled brightly as she stepped into the apartment.

Her face didn´t even drop when she saw you, you always thought she´d hate you after everything that happened.

It didn´t take long for the topic of Daishou and your break up to come up and you talked it out, Mika was strangely supportive, stating that Daishou never hated you like you thought for so long, that she herself questioned his reasoning.

Yuuji was surprised to hear that you were even together with him in the first place since he didn´t know, nobody did. Except for Kenma and Mika.

But it was no use keeping it a secret anymore.

“Now everything makes sense… Kuroo was onto you, you know?” he told you, telling you how crazy he was in the group chat and how he and the others always tried to stop him from doing anything.

It was nice knowing that you had support, that Daishou had support too, everything seemed fine, there was no uncomfortable air around you, it was almost too perfect.

But you wouldn´t complain, you really looked forward to living with Mika and Yuuji.

Across the hall things looked different though.

When Daishou entered the apartment he was met with loud yelling and the too familiar annoyed voice.

“You´ve gotta be fucking kidding me!” Kuroo said loudly as he got a good look on who just entered through the door.

Daishou´s heart clenched, he wouldn´t survive this, he thought dryly.

Living together with someone who hated him really wasn´t what he imagined college to be like.

He remembered this fateful day way too clearly, the way Kuroo roughly grabbed him by the shoulder and shoved him against the wall, looking at him with those hateful eyes, they reminded Daishou of his father and he could feel the air escape his lungs.

Like every time he thought of this wicked man, only this time you weren´t there to calm him down.

Now he was on his own. And Mika couldn´t help him, you were the only one he trusted with his mental health issues, with his panic attacks he knew he´d have when Kuroo kept verbally beating him down, his PTSD he suffered from his father´s abuse, his anxiety and social awkwardness, his tendency to close himself off and go quiet and being unable to come out of his shell again.

All of this happened without him wanting it to, Daishou didn´t want to be this fucked up, he didn´t want to be different from the others, the odd one out, the fucker who always cheated in games, he didn´t want others to hate him.

But it was easier to give in and play the part of the villain the others saw him as.

And now he felt as if his brain was short circuiting, like he was drowning.

“Oh, Daishou-san! Nice to meet you!” Bokuto pushed Kuroo out of the way, clearly seeing how uncomfortable he made Daishou and greeted him like a normal person.

Bokuto was never one to be biased by the opinion of others and Daishou was beyond grateful for that. Bokuto was the second friend after you he ever made.
