Well, now that response got me thinking, Mama Lakota AU...do the kids get their new names at any point? Does M!Lakota get sick of the name problem the way canon Lakota does and just...renames 'em? Jericho in particular seems to have a lot of very specific meaning behind it as a name. Seems very specific to ah, well, Jericho.

I feel like she'd give them names immediately after taking them in, so there wouldn't be a name issue, and their names wouldn't be the same in that AU because of the different circumstances.

oh absolutely. how she defeated kirby in this au is beyond me but that's just another funny thing since nothing in the twok au makes sense. in the normal kirby universe tho she wouldn't be able to even develop the guts to take kirby on cuz of how clumsy of a fighter she'd be

pretty much all you gotta do to figure that out is just read the twok comics LOL

oh absolutely not. she refuses to have children and tends to get jealous when people she loves are paying more attention to a cute kid than her. she treats kids with basic decency and respect tho but she is terrible at taking care of them, especially like toddlers since she can never understand what the heck they're saying

refuses to go on anything scary like rollercoasters and haunted houses. wants to go on less scary rides like the alpine sleds and teacup ride. will eat a ton of amusement park snacks like funnel cake, weird deep fried desserts, and cotton candy

uhhhh she's a representation of me as an author and if i was a creature in the kirby world. she's also the villain of one of the kirby multiverses

Ey, reading your Rescue thing and I'm really impressed with your visual storytelling. You clearly have a handle on it and I particularly like how you get across Meta's pain visually. Those little speech garbles really look how it feels to just get pain suddenly. Like how you write the characters, especially Kirby bein' a lil' chatterbox. :> Hope you've got more! I like it.

How did it come to this?! It seems the power of lesbianism and whatever is going on with Galacta Knight wasn't enough to save the ribs. May the sausages fare better.

(Good news everyone! I did not throw my tablet out the window trying to draw his wings! But it was close. Praise Ibispaint for having ready-made backgrounds, because I was not drawing one after all that. This was supposed to be a joke drawing, but it somehow took me several days. Because of the wings, but also because of me having several epiphanies I had to process. I miiiiight have made my interpretation of Galacta Knight more similar to me than I realised. As one does.)

Ahem! Following in the footsteps of several other Kirby OC contest peeps, you may send in asks for [Noir]!!

(...But I'm SUPER busy so it may take until May to respond! ^^;;)

[Notes/Rules About Asks:]

-I'm iffy on back-and-forth style dialogue-based RP, due to the complex interplay of pseudo-linearity in an amorphous situation plus my autistic-self often being unable to figure out what my RP partner is actually trying to say tone-wise or what they are thinking and then-I-answer-them-wrong-and-embarrass-myself...!!

NVMD SEND WHATEVER YOU WOULD LIKE XD

That and long post-chains make me a little nervous. ^^; Asks in the form of questions Noir can answer in-character are preferred.

(You may also ask me generic "What does your OC think/do when...?" style questions, such as those from THIS detailed OC ask meme!)

-You can also send an ask for Noir from your OC, if you'd like to find out how the troubled teenage boy would react to meeting them! (These may or may NOT(!!) come with art, depending on mood, time, and a variety of circumstances. Tourney OCs will generally get preference. If I AM inspired to draw said meeting, I may request additional information/clarification before going through with it.)

Again, I'm pretty autistic, so if you are going to go this route, it'll help if I have something more than "Hiya, Noir!" to work off of - else he'll just react to you the same way he does to Marx.

(Not that you can't go places from there! XD)

-You can also prod Noir about his traumas if you like! XD Note that asking for details about certain things (the "murders" on Shiver Star or his hatred of physical contact) may result in responses with TRIGGER WARNINGS, if I decide to answer them.

-Tournament!Noir is currently in his own similar but separate timeline from Mainline Apologies Noir. However, events during this contest MAY influence his fate and the fates of those he holds dearest!

-Noir's latent cross-dimension sight means that you can ask him about his various other timelines or Kirby games he was not alive for and probably get some pretty unique/funny/strange answers.

-I almost assuredly won't be able to get to every ask/comment. Some I may avoid answering due to complexity, uncomfortableness, them not fitting tournament!Noir's narrative, or me just not having any good ideas. Please don't take this personally.

-Lastly, please leave space between sending multiple asks. ^^

omg I'm so nervous about this. I want to draw lots, for me and for others (!) too if I can but I want to follow the flow of the tournament and not JUST go off on my own crazy thing, except that I'm not even completely familiar with what the rounds will be like?!

[Non-Ask Notes:]

-The flowers in the BG are the forget-me-nots that Adeleine drew for him on his birthday and that he received in this post. That post was also the inspiration for Tournament!Noir. (Although he retains the corruption + the collar here.)

PS: In addition the song that post is, you know, named for, Noir + the forget-me-nots also makes me think of the lyrics: "Since the day I met you, there's never ceased to be music in this hell of mine" from the opening to Sousei no Aquarion.

-This, and the tag name, was inspired by @Graycoin's comment "Noir gets to go on a field trip. I hope he has a good time : D " (then I saw Starflung had the same idea to send her OC off with a backpack! Haha! XD)

-The fish bone is a gift from Gooey. He's doing his best. Adeleine is also doing HER best. ("...A comb? Really?" "It's unbreakable!")

-As to the bento box, I'm not sure if I mentioned this before (?) but the Fontaine children are French-Japanese...on their mother's side.

-Why yes, that IS a cellphone in his backpack! I wonder who might call him...?

🌙 (Moon) - Is your OC a particularly light or heavy sleeper? Somewhere in-between? Do they take naps?

🎶 (Music Notes) - Do they play any instruments? What kind of leitmotif and/or battle theme would they have? Are there any songs you associate with them?

💌 (Love Letter) - How easy are they to befriend? Are they more of a social butterfly or a lone wolf?

⚖️ (Scales) - On the subject of a certain someone’s lengthy rant; is your OC moreso on the side of magic or science? Somewhere in-between? Do they incorporate the two together in some way?

💜 (Purple Heart) - If they were corrupted by the Jamba Heart, which negative traits of theirs would be amplified?

🌙 (Moon) - Prisma is a relatively good sleeper! She never really has trouble going to bed, but sometimes she can be a bit more restless and finds herself waking up at random times in the middle of the night.

🎶 (Music Notes) - She doesn't play any instruments, but I imagine her battle theme would be somewhat whimsical and playful sounding, as a fight with her would be more a friendly test of strength rather than a serious confrontation.

💌 (Love Letter) - Prisma is very much a social butterfly and enjoys making friends, especially when she was little. Nowadays while she is still friendly, she remains slightly cautious about new people. But she's still quick to befriend others if they show themselves to be kind.

⚖️ (Scales) - Definitely a magic user! She doesn't know a whole lot about science, but is very familiar with her powers being very magic-based.

💜 (Purple Heart) - Will be answered in another ask!

I was thinking it'd be less visual differences and more internal. Although I haven't fully decided what the differences will be-

Some ideas I had was maybe Peach and the others are Herbivores? What if they can only eat fruits and veggies and Mario sees a slab of cooked meat and he's just like "OO STEAK" and chomps into it and everyone just looks at him like

ALSO! Maybe Peach has to sleep a lot more than Mario does. OR maybe a lot less? Imagine if peach only needed 4 hours of sleep and then she was wide awake. Or maybe the opposite? Imagine if 12 hours is a standard amount of sleep they need. Mario is running around at 7 AM on 8 hours of sleep and Peach is like "whyyyy are you uppp so earlyyy go back to sleeeppp"

Or SHES up at 4 AM like "Mario are you up? Hey Mario are you awake? Do you want breakfast? I made you breakfast. Its cake I hope that's okay-"

I also imagined temperatures! I mostly imagined that Peach cannot handle the heat what so ever. Mario's out there in 35°C (95°F) heat and Peach is tucked away in her dungeon like a vampire. Or the OPPOSITE?? Its 40°C (104°F) and she's out there gardening and Mario is cooped up inside just miserable <XD

ANyways, I think you get the point. Differences like is what I had in mind. 😅😅

Cassie's not in it because I just kind'a dont like her entire existence XDD But maybe she could be a friend of Gregory's down the road when he grows up yeah.

Also I love/hate the DLC. I think its really pretty, I LOVE how it leaned more towards a horror theme this time..

So when I created my two very first kirby ocs, i had a whole theme goin on!

The daughter of Necrodeus and her weird bug acquantaince that keeps following her around!

With this, i continued to build their stories and personality traits off it (by listening to music, getting sudden inspo irl, u know the drill 🔥🔥)

It's a smiliar exact thought process for Uther!

I wanted to give Sir Arthur a pretty goofy father, who was responsible for the founding of the GSA. It was both for worldbuilding reasons AND for comedic reasons! (tee hee i love comedy)

Oh yeah and he had to be mentally ill, nobody can be sane in wars man, /j

Inspired by BBC Uther's hate for magic and stuff alike, i gave him that very phobia to build character! (I actually havent fully watched the show, i cant find it anywhere- dailymotion is very laggy for me...)

So I got all the ingredients I wanted!: war veteran, dad, himbo spice and tons of stuff in the past that haunts him.

I tried to be as non spoilery as possible, hopefully this answer isn't too vague LOL

(Also i tend to create ocs when i get sudden inspo for a cool character design as well. They usually have no role in any story yet, so its always abit harder to build them. Though sometimes them just simpky existing in pretty art is good enough 🔥🔥 )
