So a relative passed away today.

We were not close and it was not sudden but it feels so weird to know that she will never greet me or smile ever again.

She was also pretty young.

Not that old people's deaths are less important it's just a bit more sad to know she had so much more to experience and she was hoping to heal and be able to live the second half of her life.

I've seen other relatives pass away in my life, even some with who I was closer, but I think I never fully grasped the concept of death untill now.

What I am taking from this is a renewed consciousness on how precious life is.

Haha I love the dynamic.

To be fair though, it did took on that horror movie feel when Ling was struggling at the cabin. When he covered his face, and then slipped down his hand showing Greed’s eyes while Ling was still talking was genuinely, at least to me, rather creepy and unsettling. Internally though to them it might have just been another spat. Also in the manga it might have been days or even a week or so that Ling had been in control after Greed fought Bradley in his mansion.

Then of course, Darius, Heinkel, and Ed immediately think of Greed as a threat when he takes over. Then Ed is confused and Greed has to explain that he isn’t allied with the other homunculi, and then Ed extends the friendship invitation and Greed is genuinely shocked and gets flashbacks of his friends and asdjkdfassfk.

I just found it so interesting because it’s like those Tumblr posts that are like “okay a demon possessed me but now I am the demon’s problem.”.

I have an original fiction idea that I started some time ago involving possession of the main character by some kind of in-universe fictional character. At first I was going the horror movie route especially after watching Serial Experiments Lain. Then I watched FMAB and was like “this is a better direction actually lol”.

Greedling's introduction is actually really funny because Greed does the typical evil possession rant about "your friend's gone I'm the only one left!" and Ed looks into his eyes midfight and is like "I know Ling's still in there" and it seems like the set up to some long epic struggle where Ed will have to reach out to Ling to prove he's still alive and help him overpower Greed

And then maybe two hours later Greed tracks Ed and Al down like "hey I have a message from Ling could you give it to Lan Fan for us? No clue what it says but that's probably fine. anyway don't try to foil our evil plans! or do I don't actually give a shit. later losers."
