Random thought i had today…

I joined tumblr for smut..not gonna deny it..i was never a fan of reading..i prefer media..but i found some great stories here..i mean if it wasn’t for @holylulusworld i would have never found Supernatural coz yes i live under a rock apparently 😝..i will be honest..and its a rare for me that i got hooked to that show because of the content..i got crush on Dean/Jensen way too far into the show..shocking i know..it showed me true love can be other than just romantic relationships..and about family … and then there is @cevansbrat0007 my first friend on tumblr…her Growing Pain Series is the kind of maritial life i want…i mean yes i started that series for Chris Evans..but if someone ask me what kind of husband i want..its Andy Barber from Growing Pains..and my babe @frostironfudge she got me hooked onto reading series..i only preferred one shots coz m too lazy for series .. and she became my confidant.. sharing life stories..i can proudly say i got her hooked to Andy and Ari..yes i take that credit😅 @buckgasms pom…it’s been a really long time we talked..but this babe wrote my every request..and i just love her…going through a reader’s blog..but once i overcome it…gonna spam you again..heheh @sunshine-on-my-mind meera…my fluffy writer…I miss you a lot…FRANKly😉…you write the sweetest fluff tbh and @universitypenguin you know princess and the lawyer is one of my top 5 series i have read on tumblr..and since i am on reader’s block..i have missed so much of it…and i can’t wait to read it again..coz i am totally in awe of your writing style…you are gifted and @jobean12-blog my friend from Bucky’s city 🤭🤭…always sending me positivity messages..and i would surely like to meet her when i come there @nana1000night You are amazing…and i wish you all the best

hello!!

oh gosh, what isn't to love. Personally, I'm all for forbidden romance, and above all, dark boyfriend/sunshine girlfriend. Those are the big two, but in terms of canon scenes they have together, I think my top 3 would be

the 'you came for me' scene in ACOWAR

Azriel giving Elain Truth Teller and the 'never in 500 years have I seen Azriel let someone else touch that knife' we love a man who breaks rules only for his girl

'can you truly fly' that whole dinner conversation in MAF. Not exactly an Elriel moment, more like just an interaction, but I still love it

In terms of what I'd like to see from them, I think that door is really wide open, both for canon texts and for fanfiction. I've read fics where Elain remains the quiet gardener she is in canon and she falls in love with Az anyway, and I've read some where Elain becomes a 'knife wife' as they are called and they do cool spy stuff together and defeat Koschei. And of course, I've seen the middle ground too. Personally I don't have a preference. The only big things for me are that I want to see more of Elain's powers described (this is assuming we're talking about a canon compliant fic that's more than just a one-shot, or ACOTAR 6), I don't want there to be a love triangle with Lucien or Gwyn (some angst and doubt is fine, heck it's even encouraged there's no pleasure without pain angst is very much fine by me but once one of them actually brings it up to the other, end of. None of this awkward "whom should I pick, whom do I love more" nonsense), and biggest of all, I don't want Elain changing her whole personality just for Azriel. If she stays as someone who prefers the finer things in life, and doesn't enjoy fighting like her sisters, great! If she does turn out to become a spy or a warrior or any of that, let it be because she wants to, not because of what a man (be it Az, Lucien, or literally anyone else) wants her to be.

Of course I'm kind of just rambling about what I want to happen in the next book, my range for fanfiction I'll read is open to pretty much everything. My favourite fics to read are the canon-compliant ones (or canon divergence, so like what if the bond snapped between them out of the cauldron, I have yet to find this but it's an interesting thought hehe), as well as any ancient or mythological AUs (as you can tell by what I've written). Not a huge fan of any modern AUs, including the high school/college ones or workplace.

💜💜 Books books books!! Okay:

1. what is the best book you have ever read?

😭😭 I’m not good with superlatives. But I’ll try. I’ve talked about Sunshine in another answer — which imo has continued to be incredible even across time and space and different iterations of the self, which is a great marker of bestness in a book I think!!

But the best books I’ve read LATELY have been the Murderbot series, by Martha Wells, which made me laugh and cry and got me through a solid chunk of a terrible time in my life! They’re amazing. I can’t recommend them enough.

3. what is your preferred genre?

Sci fi & fantasy!! I also really, really like anything genre-bending with elements of sci fi & fantasy m — it’s like I can have a little dragon in this historical drama!! As a treat.

34. do you read more than one book at a time?

Lol. Oh yes, yes I do. Currently I think I’m in the midst of about…six?? In various stages. It takes me forever to read now, and my attention span’s shot by The Horrors, so the more I’m reading the more likely I am to stay focused and actually finish them, if that makes sense??

Also I have a system for juggling my multiple reads, which probably no one is interested in but me but I’m going to describe here in detail anyway:

2+ paper books: these keep me company almost wherever I go. I have one or more books that are a Fun Romp and one that is a Project, and I flip between them — like, last summer I went through several romp books before I actually finished the Silmarillion. But I did finish the Silmarillion!! Which was awesome.

2 audiobooks: historically one for my commute, although I’m spending a lot less time on the road now so it’s really for when I’m doing housework and other mindless projects, and one as a re-listen while I’m falling asleep. The re-listen is almost always a Tamora Pierce book. Or murderbot, nowadays.

Anyway thank you sm for asking!!! And btw, I woke up to the notification for a new Bizarre Love Triangle chapter and read it while eating breakfast and it was AMAZING, as usual :)

"ok i have seen enough pda for today, let's go we are in charge of decorating our dorm. goodluck prefect."

definitely would watch the fireworks on the magic carpet with you and kalim in each others' arms watching your precious work go up and bring smiles and amazement to your friends

Hiiiiiii I have a prompt idea. A Loki X reader pre relationship

so my mind threw a random memory at me and I remembered a very cute scene from a play called Maine. The scene was called I fell. It was about a guy confessing his love for another guy and he did it by falling and then when his friend went to check on him he said I fell for you.

That being said

The reader has powers kinda like Wanda. Only difference, she can fly. If she uses to much power she can drain her energy and can pass out. Well during a mission with Thor and Loki, this happens and she falls from a very great height. Thor tries to catch her but can't make it in time. Luckily Loki is there to catch her (I can hear Thor shouting "LOKI LOKI LOKI CATCH HER!" And I can see Loki sprinting to catch her in time.) When the reader wakes up she sees Loki at her side. He says something like that was some fall. And she looks at him and says "I fell for you." Maybe Loki confesses his feelings for her to. I know it's cliche but I thought it would be a cute prompt. 💙💚💜🖤

You strapped your fingerless gloves on tight and rolled your shoulders. Sighing, you took one look at Thor and dared him to say something. Anything.

“He. Said. What?” He asked disbelievingly.

“He said, and I quote, ‘That I smell.’” You replied with an embarrassing look.

“Smell like sunshine? Smell like a fresh field of flowers?”

“I don’t know Thor.”

“Smell like nectar from freshly picked fruit from the gardens of Asgard? I don’t understand milady. How could he say such an atrocious thing to one such as yourself?” Thor asked puzzled.

You raised your shoulders and gave him a disbelieving look as the quinjet slowed down for its descent. You and Thor have been best friends since he came back to New Asgard. You were assigned as the liaison between the new town of Asgardian refugees and the existing town of Tønsberg. It was there that King Valkyrie had discovered you and your secret powers.

You were reckless and got caught going out one night, flying overhead, exhibiting telekinetic powers. In truth, it was the only way you could put yourself to sleep. There was so much power coursing through you and you needed an outlet. A way to expel your energy so you can tire yourself and go to sleep.

So when Thor came back around to help and check in on New Asgard, he offered to spar with you before bedtime. “Training,” he had called it. Little did you know that he was actually training you to fight along with the Avengers.

You were hesitant at first. You loved your life and your job. You liked knowing that there was a routine to everything. There was comfort, not in the mundane, but in the simplicity of it all. You did not need to be a hero. The only reason why you agreed was because of the god sitting next to you, Thor’s brother.

Loki leaned over the shared armrest as he unbuckled himself from the seat. He nuzzled his nose deep in your hair, inhaling your floral shampoo. Can a person heat up and freeze simultaneously? Because that’s exactly what you felt like. You blushed and froze in place when you felt his face so close to yours.

“Hmm.” A contented sigh left him and you used whatever power you had not to melt into a wet puddle right in the seat. “I have no idea what that simpleton was talking about brother,” Loki said. “She smells like the heavenly rose gardens of Elysium.” You turned meeting his mischievous eyes. “I mean honestly, I don’t think you should introduce her to any more of your associates. How can you call her your friend when you subject her to mind-numbing torture every week?” Loki continued as he stood from his seat and berated Thor.

“Ya, Thor! I thought we were besties!” you said crossing your arms, adding fuel to the fire. Loki was formidable on his own. But when the two of you joined forces and conspired against him, Thor couldn’t do anything. He was helpless.

You got up to follow Loki, taking some short knives that he handed you and securing them in your thigh holster.

“Now don’t you start with me! You’re the one that asked me to help you find a companion.” Thor said pointing an accusatory finger at you as he grabbed Stormbreaker. Loki took a sideways glance at you. The fact that you had asked Thor to help you find a suitor was news to him.

“Yes, I did. My mistake, apparently.” You whispered that last part to Loki, and he sniggered. “I thought it would be like in the movies, you know. Romantic meet-cutes. Grand gestures of love. The handsome love interest saving the damsel in distress.”

“You are hardly a damsel in distress, darling,” Loki said to you as the three of you walked down the gangplank of the jet.

“Thank you,” you grinned back to Loki. “But these men you picked out seem like they came from a horror movie, rather than a romantic comedy!” You accused Thor.

By now the three of you were already out of the jet and had instigated a fight with some of the fiendish-looking footmen. They saw the quinjet approach earlier and immediately sent a missile out for the three of you.

“Darling…” Loki said looking at you panicked.

“I’m on it.” You replied, using your telekinesis to deflect the missile, turning it back onto the monsters that launched it. Loki had been using his seidr to engulf the three of you in a protective bubble. While it worked for some of the lasers that were being shot your way, he didn’t think it could withstand the blow of a missile.

Giving up on long-range weapons, the beasts decided to go for hand-to-hand combat.

“Where are these atrocities from?” Loki asked.

“Some weird new terrorist group called Weapon X.” You explained. “Oh look, that one looks like my date from two weeks ago.” You said pointing to the one that Loki had stabbed to the side. Loki looked at the poor creature with a disgusted face. “Maybe it is my date from two weeks ago.” You said coming closer to the fallen body.

“I feel for you, pet.” Loki agreed, taking a deep breath.

“Can I get a hand here, please!” Thor grunted as he tried to push back on the flying bat-like creature that has pinned him to the ground. Both you and Loki stood clapping in his direction.

“Good job, brother,” Loki said. “Excellent work.”

“You can do it, Thor! Woo-hoo.” you concurred, still clapping.

“Not the hand I had in mind!” Thor grunted as he pushed the creature away making it fly with Stormbreaker still in its jaws. “You two! I swear you were made for each other!” Thor pointed, as he panted his way in between the two of you. You both stood there, giving each other the side eye as smiles formed on both your faces.

Thor called Stormbreaker back into his hands. Dragging the flying creature along with it. The bat screamed into the air calling forth other flying creatures from the horizon.

“Ok, little battery, just like we practiced,” Thor said to you. “Loki watch our backs.”

Loki fortified the protective barrier he encased you guys in. He watched as your powers lifted you into the air. Your arms spread apart like a vengeful goddess with wrath in her eyes. Thor had channeled a lightning bolt into you. You soaked it up like an empty receptacle waiting for a charge.

“Are you sure she’ll be ok, Thor?” Loki voiced his concern. He watched you in the air as your eyes glowed in the same fashion as Thor’s. Electricity humming in your veins.

“She’ll be fine. We’ve done this multiple times.” Thor smiled. Just then, a group of wild horrors decided to charge at both Thor and Loki, surprising them. Thor called forth an extra amount of lightning to damage the area around him. In doing so, the flow of lightning doubled inside you. More than what you were used to.

You brought your hands together in a quick clap. Looking for a way to dispel the energy. The sound resonated with a cackling current, sending it straight into the heart of the flying beasts that were headed your way. You could easily connect each and every flying monster with the line of electricity you were sending them. It looked like a glowing dandelion. One by one they fell to the ground. Their fur singed and their flesh burned.

As soon as the charge left you, nothing was holding you up anymore and you fell too. All your energy, depleted. You fainted from the sudden rush of oxygen leaving your body.

“Loki!” Thor yelled. Loki looked at Thor, who pointed into the sky. You were freefalling down into the earth. “Loki, Loki! Catch her!” Thor tried to determine where you would land and make his way there, but the gruesome beasts had targeted him as the threat and had pounced on him, keeping him captive where he stood.

Loki ran. He sprinted like the east wind to get to you. He jumped over the dead. Plunged his daggers into the attacking grunts. All the while keeping his eyes on your falling figure.

He was too slow. He couldn’t get there fast enough. With flourish and smoke, he jumped and transported himself mid-air, catching you. Then transported back down to the safety of the ground. You both landed a little ways away from the fight. Loki looked around to make sure you were both safe and in no immediate danger.

“Dearest. Wake up.” Loki cooed as he ran his fingers down your cheeks. Your eyes were rolled back as you lay there limp in his arms.

You woke up suddenly to a sharp intake of breath. You coughed as Loki sat you up and patted your back. He kept his arm around you, holding you close.

“What happened?” Your voice was raspy and dry. You leaned back into his arms, unable to hold the weight of your own body.

“You fell. Like a seraph cast out of heaven.”

“I fell, for you. Badum-tch” You giggled attempting weak finger-guns. Loki laughed.

“You must’ve knocked all the oxygen out of your brain.” He said carrying you up easily from the ground.

“Ya, let’s go with that.” You said snuggling into the crook of his neck. “Did we win?” You asked looking into his eyes.

Loki looked around towards Thor who was busy cleaving Stormbreaker from the last of the monstrosities. “Yes, dearest. We won.” He murmured as he walked you over towards the awaiting quinjet.

You sighed. You were tired and zapped of your energy and faculties. You could barely keep your eyes open anymore. You could feel Loki’s strong heartbeat through the pulse on his neck and it lulled you to sleep. You took a deep breath and smelled him. Remnants of his cologne mixed with the sweat of the battle. “Hmmm,” your lips murmured into his neck. Making Loki freeze and burn at the same time. “Good night, sweet prince. And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”

“Are you quoting Shakespeare to me now, darling?” he asked, but it was too late. Your eyes were already closed. Your body had retreated into slumber, charging itself up. Loki placed his lips delicately near your ear and said, “Hear my soul speak, of the very instant that I saw you, did my heart fly at your service.” He confessed to your sleeping form.

Loki held you the whole flight home as you slept peacefully in his arms. Thor took one look at you both and chuckled.

“Why did you set her up with all those horrible dates, brother?” Loki asked. And why wasn’t I included on this list?

“To make both of you realize what everyone’s known all along,” Thor remarked.

“Everyone? And what does everyone know that we don’t?”

“That you’re both idiots. Idiots in love.”

Carefully he set that negative down and lifted the paper to see there was another beneath.  This one again was a young man, this time posed against an antique car.  He lifted a few more negatives out one by one, each a portrait of the same man with various backdrops.  The man in a meadow, in an office, leaning against a doorframe — even one in his underwear grinning at the camera.  On the edge of each negative printed in slanted, handwritten characters were the initials and date.  H.S. 1924. He quickly but carefully packed them back into the box and buzzed with excitement.  He couldn’t wait to develop them to see exactly what had been captured in the images.  It was a find that felt like a puzzle to piece together.H.S. was likely the man in the photographs as well as the owner of the suitcase.  Who was he?   Why had his suitcase found its way into Niall’s attic?  Was he still alive and well somewhere in the world? A camera, a suitcase, and a relationship forged through time.

Uhm, hi! Your description said that your inbox was open. I was wondering if you'd be able to do a TMNT matchup for me..? Specifically the 2012 and/or 2014/16 versions. If not it's completely alright! I understand that your busy and such. If you are though, here's my description (I'm sorry if it's bad or long, it's my first time doing something like this):

I'm 5'½", dark brown hair, blue eyes with a ring of yellow-gold in the middle (the blue turns to a greyish tone sometimes though, something my mothers eyes also do which I find interesting), and very pale skin. I'm admittedly on the chubbier side, it's something I've always had a problem with.

I'm very.. contradictory in personality. I'm usually cautious and avoid anything dangerous, but if someone were to ask me or bet me to do something, caution is thrown to the wind. I dislike arguments, but seem to find myself in a lot of them.

There are some things that make sense though. I'm a quiet person, preferring to listen and observe rather than speak, I tend to be a bit of a loner because of this. I bottle up a lot of my emotions and have a fear of being vulnerable, usually hyperventilating and sending myself into a panic attack when I cry.

I like creating things though! I tried to get into computer programming, but it didn't really stick with me, so I tend to do a lot of Origami and drawing. I also do a lot of baking and cooking, especially when stressed.

I used to go to singing classes, but got really insecure about my voice and stopped taking them, same goes for the drama classes and clubs I went to a few years back.

I trust too easily and over share a lot, I'm scared of what's IN the dark, but like the darkness itself, and I freak out at certain descriptions (ie. shots, stitches, torture, and anything violent relating to children or animals).

4: Do you prefer writing multi-chapter or oneshot fanfictions?

For my sanity and just the ability to say that I DO finish stuff, one shots lol but when my brain has a story, it's a tight grip, so I am more prone to multi-chapter stories.

7: What’s a troupe you love to write?

(I'm not sure if this is asking for a trope or troupe, like group of people, so I'll answer for both haha)

Trope (and troupe?): Wholesome Harringtons. My first few Harringrove fics have the usual vacant or not-so-great parents, but ever since I allowed myself to indulge in one or both of the Harrington parents being nice, I've really enjoyed writing them. They don't have to be sunshine and perfect, but I really enjoy a strong Harrington clan.

Troupe: Steve, Robin, Nancy, and Billy. I think I'm one of the few people who just adores Nancy lol I'll sneak her in any time I feel like it haha

9: What’s your favorite line(s) or scene(s) that you have written?

Hmm...a lot of my favorite scenes are in my Dracula Has a Mullet Epilogue. Neither the epilogue nor the original story are finished LOL but the original story is a season 3 rewrite with vampire!Billy, and the epilogue is a couple years later after break-up circumstances and it's a getting-back together fic. It's saucy and full of Feelings™ and it's one that I reread a lot.

I'm also eager to get Billy and Steve's relationship going in my diabetic!Steve fic, Caramel Heart, so that I can go full throttle with overprotective Billy haha.

Oooh, thank you, Kazi, for sending this to me! It’s always nice to think of distracting things, and it’s been a while since I’ve gotten one of these so... 

Things that make me happy, huh?

Singing! I love singing and have been doing it due to being in choir all my life. I’m not in one now but that kind of thing never leaves. It’s a great stress reliever and pick me up when I’m feeling down, especially now, so gotta keep the skills up, ya?

Eating something I made that tastes good. This time has been forcing me to cook more (though I do get urges to bake too) and that’s not necessarily bad, but I’ve been trying a lot of new recipes (most of them are from sites that are like ‘what do you have in your kitchen’ and then I whip up something) and a lot of them have turned out great! I did cook before this pandemic but I also ordered stuff or went out to eat with friends and fam, so doing this is a big deal for me (especially since I have executive dysfunction).

Watching a good movie or tv show. We all need distractions right now so I’ve been doing a lot of binge-watching of shows I’ve liked in the past but also trying out some new ones that pop up. The new shows come up with episodes on a fairly regular schedule so it also helps me keep up a sense of time.

My friends! Even though I can’t see them (either because they live overseas or due to social distancing), I do talk to them every day and they make me laugh, smile, and it makes me feel less alone right now.

Photography! I’ve been taking more pictures of some of the food I’ve made but also been going around and looking at old photos I’ve shot on vacations/traveling. It makes me think of good memories but also less trapped, knowing I have some record of places I’ve seen.

I could list more but I wanted to think about things that have been making me happy lately during this time, so yes.

If I could add an extra one, watering and taking care of the plants has been good for me and makes me happy! I get to go outside in my backyard and smell the fresh air and soak up some sunshine. But it’s also nice to see something I’ve taken care of still growing and thriving, which gives me a sense of accomplishment.

Now, I’m going to cut and paint my nails because it’s been a while for me and that’s another thing that makes me happy!

Apologies for my incompetence in messages (I’ve been on tumblr for like 10 years lol you think I’d have the hang of it, but maybe that’s why I expect the worst regarding functionality)

Here’s what was in the second half of the message: I just got into Exo a couple years ago! I have a friend who was into SuperM and sent me a few of their videos and basically as soon as I saw Baekhyun that was it for me, and he’s still my bias. I was in covid quarantine for 15 days and binged Exo Next Door and then a bunch of performance videos and fell in love with all the members. I’ve been slowly catching up on ten years of content since then. Monster Dance practice is a GREAT first exo video. Do you have a favorite era/comeback? Do you have a favorite of Suho’s songs? (I still need to listen to Self Portrait!)

I think I have an idea for what I want to do for your present, and I mostly make digital art so that’s what I’m planning, but I wanted to also ask if there’s anything you were really hoping for? I’ll probably have time to make a couple things so I can do my idea and a second, or add in elements if there’s anything you’ve been thinking about. I’m not much of a fic writer but anything else I can take a shot at: moodboards, gifs, lockscreens, etc!

What Kpop groups were you listening to before SuperM? I was so lucky to see SuperM as my first ever Kpop concert. And Baekhyun was GLORIOUS live. I am surprised I survived seeing SuperM in person. I LOVE Kai (he is one of my bias wreckers), Taeyong and Ten. SuperM's first promo photos are burned into my memory. An EXCEPTIONAL concept. hahaha

Speaking of concepts......I CANNOT wait to see EXO's upcoming concept and new music. If it has any connection to their Season's Greetings concept I will be DEAD (in the best way possible) lol.

It is hard for me to narrow down a favorite of Suho's music, but perhaps I can give you a few favs off his more recent Grey Suit era. I loved the whole album, but Hurdle, Decanting and Bear Hug were extra wonderful to me. I hope you are able to listen to Self-Portrait. His voice is just so beautiful and the album is a lovely journey of falling in love, losing it, letting it go and appreciating it. Have you seen any of the live sessions mvs? THEY ARE ALL SO FABULOUS. O2 is particularly pretty with the water concept. I don't think we would have been given such a gift of mvs for every song of that album if not for covid. I guess that is one ray of sunshine through the horribleness of the virus. I am sorry you were in covid quarantine. Were you ill or just protecting yourself and others? I hope you weren't sick with it. As far as era looks - Suho during the Lotto Era was also wow. The strawberry hair, the pink shirt and neck ties' outfit for the lotto stages. Let me see If I can add a link of it.
