People often make Wild the problem child

And obviously it fits

But legend's middlest of middle child energy let’s him get away with literally anything Wild wants to do

And he is so much worse than Wild

Wild gets called out for collecting monster parts

And he gets lectured while he has to see legend rip out the guts of several monsters and… just hoard them for the fun of it

And nobody even seems to see him do it right next to him because his middle child status makes him ignored by default

(He will at some point hand them over to the old witch for potion… but as long as it isn’t happening all goes right into his not so little hoard)

There are literally two games dedicated to collecting organs for the hero of legend campaign

Link between worlds and link to the past

Wild dives of a cliff and dies as a result

Legend wants the result of being dead and does the same

Legend dies not out of recklessness but to change his gear

(And he does it a lot as well)

Wild burns forests

Legend has the equivalent of a flamethrower for a fire rod and can create fire tornadoes

And even has the magic ability to set stuff on fire with just his hands

(Again link to the past and link between worlds)

Yet when he does it he again doesn’t get noticed while Wild gets lectured for it

Wild throws a rock in self defense

Legend throws anything not nailed down

(Including rocks,self summoned blocks, pots and also a literal sign he stole ,shrubs he uprooted (link to the past) , several explosives of unholy destruction (triforce heroes) and more importantly fairies he uses as bombs… somehow (cadence of Hyrule), sand rod exists so he can throw sand at people (link between worlds)

And again he does it when nobody is looking

Even worse he dresses up in cute outfits and then fights monsters looking fancy (triforce heroes)

Like a linebeck outfit

The Zelda outfit Wild wanted so badly

Fierce deity's armor for some reason

And the worst of all …

A cat girl outfit

Like legend can do that yet Wild can’t run around in boxers

Legend can also turn into a painting apparently because why not

And he uses it to cheat (Wild saw it first hand)

Wild gets asked to clear his slate yet legend has a full orchestra worth of instruments (including a piano and a cello) in his own

With a ton of other stuff

Yet Wild is apparently the problem!?!.!

The chain just ignores legend like the middle child he is that’s why he can get away with anything

im replaying minish cap and I'm at the scene where the king formally gives Link the quest, and I'd like to break down this scene. The king asked Link to: 1) Turn Zelda back from stone. This was just said to be done with the fixed picori blade. And in order to fix the picori blade, he asked Link to 2) Go to the picori and ask THEM to fix the blade, not for Link to fix it himself. And then the king promptly sent his knights to go deal with Vaati, meaning he was NOT expecting or asking Link to do that. I mention this because I have seen people say that this king is a shithead for sending a child to defeat Vaati, but at this point in the game, it would appear that all he's really asking Link to do is play messenger and that the whole "Link goes on a quest" thing is because Link is just a very independent child and massive over achiever. I can't remember if he's shittier later in the game. Will blog and see. But as of now, this appears to be the real scenario: King: Ok Link. Take this broken sword and ask for help in defeating this evil wizard. Link: Ok. later Link: I did it King: Where's the picori? Did they agree to help? Link: oh no i didn't ask them, i just defeated the evil wizard myself. King: Link: Yeah I just killed him King, to himself: God fuck no, I cannot be remembered as the king who sent a 10 year old to war

It's unlikely to happen, but i fear Z-A has the power to hit us with something verrry sick and twisted....

legend a bigger feral problem gremlin than wild (more likely than you think)

You know a funny thing about cadence of Hyrule is how it outright makes legend a bigger feral problem gremlin than wild

Like wild dies because he can afford it as it has little impact on him

He can just go throw himself in danger and as long as he lets the countdown pass he can do so again

Mipha's Grace is just this good and essentially a second chance

But the messed up thing about cadence of Hyrule is how dying is PART of the game

It is not a consequence for failure but rather an opportunity to upgrade your items permanently

Like the game is designed around the idea that you die at some stage and then go back to try again with a better item

A strategy for this game is literally just farming diamonds and dying get good items

Then repeat again until you have the most outrageous items (long spear , hearth ring, hook shot combo my beloved… it is so good it feels like cheesing the game)

Learning the pattern is part of the game

And because dying is not a problem it is the least of your worries

And the game can be merciless

If you lack rhythm you will have a bad time with the normal mode (oracle of seasons trauma is something else the dancing mini game genuinely scared baby me )

So when dying makes legend stronger and more aware of the patterns

Then obviously he would be a bigger menace than wild could ever hope to be

Would be the funniest if he had a joking competition and warriors accidentally said out loud “if you die I certainly wouldn’t care”

And the next thing he knows is legend jumping out a window (he just wanted to change items lol)

Wild charges at a Lynel with nothing but a stick

Meanwhile legend is contemplating whether he should straight up bomb himself (bomb fairy strat be like)

And try again later with a bow or something

He probably just one day stood up and walked infront of a charging Lynel while the chain was fighting tooth and nail to stop him

Wild jumps down a ledge and ragdolls down

Legend is a stain under said ledge already

Wild goes to fight an entire camp with a pot lid and a damaged weapon

Legend does the same dies and respawns with the needed weapon to take it down

Why carry your stuff if you can just die to get them when needed

Legend has the power of respawning endlessly with no time limit or consequences (except going broke on diamonds but if you have the stuff you need the upgrades are permanent anyway lol)

And we should let him be a gremlin who bases their entire strategy on it
